Tutor Time of Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Bidaya Qaqour: I been with tutor time since 2017 we started at the one that in East Beltline and then at the 28th street . We have no family around and I consider Tutor Time as a family every day I go to pick up my baby Ms.Desireeand Ms. Christina greet me and they will tell me everything about my baby . They care so much about him plus they are always happy and positive. My other son goes to preschool we been watching him recently to make sure he is interacting with other kids . Ms. Darlene and Ms. Tiffani helped me a lot and I always talk with them about Zayn and they show like they really care . I feel safe leaving my kids there . Ms. Ashley the director always nice and helpful as well . Thank you so much Tutor time .
Rochelle Elsenbroek: I am excited to meet an amazing Child Care and school. I find this career choice as exciting and I am really good with children..
kendra bouwman: I am not one that leaves reviews however my mom heart feels the need to share our experience there. My 2 children went for just 2 weeks. I felt anytime I tried to talk to any of the teachers I was wasting their time and being annoying. I asked that my son be engaged b/c he struggles so much socially and help guide him in and they did nothing. I watched him from outside the classroom walk over to 2 different groups of kids and then slump down in a chair and play with his shoelaces. No interaction. Nothing. The teacher should have talked to him, asked about him, engaged him. The first couple days he was asking for water the minute he saw me and for the rest of the night. After day 2 when we went in I asked if he had any water and she stated that he started too late in the season and they were out of water bottles. I was sure to bring one that day and for the remaining time we were there. A cup of water would work just fine..fyi. He is shy and will not ask for anything unless he really knows you well. I felt it was more of an institution than a warm daycare/school setting. I thought it was dirty and not maintained. I would never bring my children there again.
Alyssa Paauwe: My kids have been going to Tutor Time for over 2 1/2 years since we moved to the area. The staff and teachers are so friendly and amazing. My kids like to go to school and have progress in development since going there. We love the directors Melissa and Mel they are wonderful.
Katie Fontaine: Our son went here for 3 months and he LOVED it. They took such great care of him. The school is organized, staff is super helpful and nice. I was never worried about dropping him off. The only reason we are leaving is due to having a closer location open up cutting down our drive time significantly. I would highly recommend Tutor time on 28th street!
Elizabeth Walker: I LOVE Tutor Time! My son is only 11 months old, but has attended since he was 4 months. They have planned activities for the babies and send pictures throughout the day. It is hard having such a young child in day care, but I know he is in great hands! They call me any time he has a temp above 99 or if they feel like he is not acting himself that day. Every staff member knows who my son and will greet me by name. I have never entered the building and not been greeted! It is a little pricey, but the level of professionalism makes the price worth it. I have toured so many daycares in the area and have not found one as professional as this one!
Jennifer Young: My child has been going to tutor time for just over a year. Prior to that I had been a stay a home mom so it was very hard to find a daycare that I was comfotable with. My child has excelled here they have a great preschool program and Im just amazed how much he is learning. He is excited to go to his school. The staff is warm and friendly. Nothing but good things to say about this place
Erin Rozek: We love Tutor Time! My husband and I wholeheartedly trust them with the care of our son, while we are away at work. He is thriving in their care and I would recommend (and do!) them to anyone looking for a learning center. We know that when we drop him off, he will be learning while having fun with his friends. It's a great place.
Lindsey Ferrell: Awesome staff. I couldn't feel anymore comfortable with having my child there all day while at work. He comes home having learned something new everyday. Love tutor time!

Tutor Time of Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Psypher: Outstanding quality and employees. I love it here. :)
Kyle Janes: Corporate provided me grossly inaccurate information regarding start dates and pricing. In addition they wanted nearly $1,000 (non-refundable) to enroll 2 kids without any guarantee for start dates. While I never ended up sending my kids there the experience I had trying to gather information was very poor.
Lucy Kirkwood: My husband and I can't say enough great things about this daycare. The staff is always very friendly, knowledgeable, warm, and caring. Our little daughter has fun and learned so much from Ms. Haleign and Ms. Ronda, we owe a lot of it to the teachers here. We know she's happy there and in very good hands. Also, Brightwheel is the app that they will update everything going on with my baby during her times in daycare. Fantastic place!!! Highly recommended!
Jason Hornor: It quickly becomes clear how much the staff and teachers care about the kids. They seem to have a solid curriculum in place for pre K. Also, lots of extra classroom activities you can sign your kiddo up for ex. karate, yoga, tumble time, zumba and spanish
Zachary Carr: I have no doubt that my daughter is in good hands when we take her here. I love that they keep us updated on her activities through the day and send pictures.
Ronda Tyler: This is the most rewarding job I have ever had. The things I've learned, the staff is the best! The importance of interacting with parents and the children can not be emphasized enough and at Tutor time it can be witnessed at its finest!!!
Jodi Bialk: Love this school and so does my 2 year old son!
JITU GEORGE: It was not easy dropping our two and a half month old to strangers. It was a difficult transition but what did make it easy were the amazing teachers and directors of Tutor Time. If it was not for Kelly, I am not sure how we would have dropped her without wondering about our little one. Kelly is an amazing teacher and a wonderful human being. She was our daughters first teacher and paid attention to every nuance. As new parents, her insights were gold. As she moved onto the next rooms, we were again fortunate that she was taken care by Kelsey, Kaylin, Lana, Karli to name a few. I am terrible at remembering names and there were more teachers I would like to name but am drawing a blank. The only reason we took her out of Tutor Time was we moved. There was never a moment that I did not feel my daughter was not safe and cared for. We highly recommend Tutor time.
Nazima Ka: The teachers and directors really love and care for the kids they take care of. They have proven to be vested in making it a great learning environment fot all of the students. We know that our son is in great hands here.
Jaime Zuri: My son enjoys the after-school program. He has the opportunity to play outside and read to the younger kids in the program. The teachers are very nice and we know he is having fun..
Hsiang-lin Chen: Miss Mickey in preschool 1 is amazing!
T J: We've had our son there since he was a baby to 5 years old. Never had a bad experience. Wonderful people who truly care. He's learned so much there and I am so grateful for the wonderful education, experiences, and friends that he has had.
Crystal Schneider: Overall our experience has been fine, not terrible, not perfect. Our daughter seems to have fun, but my husband and I have been frustrated at times. That said, I wouldn’t take her anywhere else in the area. It was also priced better than another place we checked out.
Kristina Stephens: Great place to work these teachers truly care about the well being of the kids.
Bidaya Qaqour: Tutor time is a great place to leave your kids in . Ms. Sarah is so nice she always has a smile and she is so helpful. Ms. Angie is a great teacher also she treats my son like her own. I’m so happy that I have chosen this place for my son and I really feel safe when I’m at work
R R: My son is in preschool at Tutor Time. His teachers Miss Leah and Miss Jen are truly caring. My son knows how to read/write thanks to them. When my husband and I are at work, I know that my son is in good hands. In addition to the educational side, both teachers have helped my son be more disciplined. My son is a picky eater. They both have helped me give him better choices of food like eating carrots instead of cookies. Thank you Miss Leah and Miss Jen!
Heather Biondo: I have two boys and they both love TutorTime. Ms. Alicia has been great with my high energy two year old. Ms. Sara always has a fun and positive attitude, which is perfect for my son's infant 2 room. I recommend any parent that wants a fun, interactive, and safe environment to check out TutorTime!! 😁
Erin: My daughter has been going to Tutor Time since she was 12 months old (now she is 3). I am so glad I was able to secure a place for her at this location! I am grateful for the amount of caring and support my daughter receives from all of the teachers and staff. Her current teachers, Audrey and Shawna, are phenomenal! I am constantly blown away with the knowledge my daughter absorbs on a daily basis. Thank you!
Melissa Nettles: An excellent establishment. Educational, safe and fun environment for children. Staff and management are top notch! Ms Angie on the PS2 classroom is one of the best teachers I have encountered. She treats the kids like they were one of her own. So patient, kind and caring.
Jennifer Cathey: We love Tutor Time, especially Ms. Angie and the PS2 classroom. She is a phenomenal teacher and always goes above and beyond for the kids. She is extremely patient in her teaching and really connects with the kids in a calm and loving manner. She teaches them so much and we have seen tremendous growth in our boys. Both of our boys had Ms. Angie and we couldn't have been happier! Highly recommend Tutor and Ms. Angie!
Kristi Bast: They treat my nephews SO well. They are my whole heart, so I love knowing that they are safe, well cared for, and learning in the process. Love the daily email messages and photos to let loved ones know what they are doing at daycare. The staff is super kind.

Childtime of Kentwood: what do users think?
Ola Kamel: They are so weird and lack professionalism! When I called them, they did not give me any information and insisted that I schedule a tour to know the tuition and any other info, and when we got there at the time of the tour, they told us there is no availability for my kid's age. No respect for people's time!
Rebecca P.: The infant room is fine, but it is downhill from there and I would NOT recommend their program now that I have experienced the difference of a better program. My child's social skills, fine and gross motor skills are greatly improving now that we left Childtime. I've hesitated to write this review as I know childcare in general has suffered during COVID, but I'm ready to share my experience. Childtime has many ups and downs, but in some ways it is consistent. Meaning you will have very few shutdowns and your kids will survive under their care, but to thrive...you may need to look elsewhere. We left Childtime after 3 years and I'm so glad we were finally able to leave. We would have left sooner if other daycare centers had availability. For profit daycare is dangerous as it is ALL about the bottom line. What your child will get at this center is probably typical of daycare, but my child was falling behind and the teachers and staff are spread thin. Also many of the teachers are totally not qualified to teach such large groups or children in general. Teachers spend much of their time filling out the technology apps to keep you informed rather than spending that time with your kids. They are also very expensive in comparison to better programs and raise the rates often. The problem is much bigger than Childtime as the government has setup unmanageable ratios of children to teacher, and childcare centers pay their employees less than Taco Bell, but I was so disappointed that the director of Childtime was unwilling to allow staff from Kent County early on to meet with my child's head teacher in the classroom for education when my child was behind in skills and the director never even took the time to share information provided in a report to my child's teachers so they were aware of how to help. That was a huge red flag. I am so thankful we found a better option than Childtime.
Kara Talbot: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ReliabilityMy son went to Childtime for almost 2 years and fell in love with Ms. Kayla, Ms. Aubree and Ms. Jayne. The teachers there are kind and wonderful with kiddos!
Bidaya Qaqour: I signed my baby boy at this daycare and it’s been a four months , I can only say this is such a very good daycare. Always cleans and teachers are great . I feel safe whenever I leave my baby and go to work Ms. April is such a great teacher, she cares a lot about the kids . She shares all the details with parents too . The Manager Ms. Tracy is so nice and helpful too . Thank you so much Childtime for everything .
Leondra Fair: I second Tyler Blair's review. Was so happy yesterday (thurs) when they called and said they had availability at two of their locations. I scheduled a tour for Monday. Today (Fri) I got a call about the tour and that they have zero available spots. I questioned the person on the phone about it. She said that the person I talked to must've been talking about enrollment. What!?? They're Liars. As a single parent, this was very stressful to have the rug pulled from under me.
Tyler Blair: They told us on the phone they had availability then called us an hour before the scheduled tour and said they don’t have any spots for a year. Doesn’t seem very professional or organized. Look elsewhere if you care about your child.
Abby Hillary: We absolutely 100% recommend Childtime of Kentwood. Everyone on staff is absolutely amazing and take such good care of our kids. Each teacher knows the kids' names, even if they are not in their class. Everyone is so friendly and my girls come not only home happy every day, but they have grown and learned so much. If you are looking for a caring, educational daycare/learning center for your children, definitely put Childtime of Kentwood at the top of your list!
Clare Kelly: Our son has been attending ChildTime since his first birthday, he turns two next month. We also have a baby on the way who will be starting this Winter. We have loved our experience so far. Our son really enjoys going there every day, the teachers seem genuinely delighted to greet the kids each day, and they seem to enjoy their time with our son. I love that they have funny stories to tell my husband at pick-up, and they have pictures and activity updates that we can access via the Precious Stats app, which makes us feel like we are with him! The directors are excellent at communicating and responding to any and all questions or concerns. We feel extraordinarily lucky to have a spot here.
Steven Wilson: Our children have been attending this daycare/preschool since they were very young. I am extremely happy with how they treat us and the children. I am constantly amazed with the projects they do and how much our kids enjoy the teachers. I never thought I would feel safe having a child at daycare. I am glad I was wrong. They really have the best interests of the kids in mind.
Sarah Mitchell: Our daughter loved her old daycare and when we moved we worried it would be a rough transition but she has thrived here. Tracy and Desirae, the Directors, are both easy to work with, helpful and accommodating. The teachers in my daughter's class are wonderful and the activities that they do with the kids are engaging and fun. We have been very happy with our choice to come here.

The Learning Experience - Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Lauren Reilly: We have been incredibly happy at The Learning Experience. The leadership in place (Heather and Sam) are warm and always there to listen to challenges or help you brainstorm solutions. They work as a great team and are always available. Our daughter is in the infant room and we’ve been impressed by the warmth of Kirra, Makayla, Jenna, and Amber. These women not only make sure my daughter is safe and well loved, but also have built relationships with me which makes me feel good about dropping her off daily. Kirra came up with my daughter’s nickname, Makayla and Jenna helped me get my daughter taking regular naps, and Amber is the first to help with a ponytail or tell me about her day. Joe has also subbed in this room and he has this uncanny ability to make my daughter smile and laugh. A big win at 7 mo! Highly recommend this incredible team!
Dr&Dr Steele: Like most new parents we were nervous about taking our first baby to school for the first time. At 12 weeks old we started taking him to TLE and it has felt like leaving him with family. Hannah and Laterea are always welcoming us with such warmth and compassion. Not to mention I give them full credit for our baby meeting his developmental milestones. They are knowledgeable and nurturing in caring for our baby and I am incredibly grateful.
Erica Voss: My kids have been going to The Learning Experience for the last year & while our first several months were questionable with massive staff turnover, the new management combined with recent new ownership has made all the difference. My toddler is always so happy to go into school & he loves being greeted by name every morning at the front desk. Staff like Miss Samantha, Miss Mandy, & Mr. Steve have made our transition from home to daycare a breeze & I am confident my kids are in good hands during the day. I appreciate the updates during the day on what my kids are up to & I'm grateful to have a place that they truly enjoy being at while I'm at work.
Kersten Stephan: New managers are not good they had no regard for their staff it is honestly disgusting bring your child literally anywhere else
Kamel Bassa: My twins really enjoy TLE, they love their teachers and friends. As a family, we have notice their growth cognitively, language development and manners.Thank you for taking good care of our twins, being present and communicative, and to the teachers for being caring and patient with them.
Justine Rasche: My kids spent two months in the preppers program. I always felt they were in a safe environment and they truly did enjoy going there. However our experience left much to be desired. I know the state of childcare in the US is in a crises and I’m sure they were doing the best they could with limited staff and what appeared to be staff with minimal early education training. I wish I could have had more of an insight into what things were like throughout the day because at drop-off and pick-up it seemed like staff were minimally engaged with the kids as I would routinely see kids crying alone with no signs the staff try to comfort them and no signs that they would help direct their play/learning. Staff often appeared tired and exasperated with the kids, which I get toddlers are tough, but that’s their job.Ultimately it was a good way to spend a lot of money to get my kids used to a daycare setting and get exposed to a lot of sickness (which will happen anywhere with toddlers). We are so fortunate we were able find them spots in a formal preschool where the staff are truly educators who love their job so we could leave TLE.If TLE is the only option you have your kids will be safe and have fun, but that’s about it.
Samantha Schwartz: As a mother of an Infant at TLE and the assistant director I believe that we are extremely blessed to be surrounded by amazing people each and everyday! My son is loved beyond belief, he gets excited to see the teachers and all his friends the minute we get in his classroom. I was scared to have my son in childcare so young but he is learning so many new skills already it’s absolutely amazing! Thank you TLE for being a family!
Nate Stormzand: TLE has been an excellent experience for my 2.5 year old son. The center is bright and clean. The staff is friendly and engaging. My son has lots of friends and comes home happy. Back when we first needed care 9 months ago, nothing was available locally, but TLE did everything they could to get him in and accelerate his start date. Thank you TLE!
Tricia Mesaros: We have been at TLE since they opened back in August. The center is big, clean and bright. There has been a lot of turnover, but current staff has been there a while and are very pleasant and good with the kids. The center director is wonderful and wears many hats and is always on the move. I would like to see more staff but understand in the current economy that is hard. I have always felt my children are safe and well cared for - but I would not go as far as to say all the teachers are warm and engaging with the kids. The lead teachers in the classes we have experienced are wonderful, caring and welcome my kids each day - the staff that is there later in the day just seems to sit and watch the kids, not really engage unless required - that seems to exhaust those teachers that really care and are engaging. The center is still in their first year, and has had a few bumps (what center doesn't), but the care for my kids was never compromised! The kids always come first!
Karen Farr: I’ve been the Director at The Learning Experience since October 2021 and what an amazing center and incredible staff. I absolutely love working here. We have phenomenal families who bring me constant joy.
Maureen Dodd: We switched to TLE because we were not happy with our previous center. We couldn’t have made a better choice! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and my children love going to school! The lesson plans and curriculum are impressive and my kids have shown improvement in just the few months we’ve been attending. I’m so pleased that we have found a place that our whole family loves.
Randi Saukas: My husband and I are very thankful and pleased we found The Learning Experience! With an infant and a toddler it’s great to have a safe and fun filled space for them during the week! The care and dedication from the infant and prepper teachers is essential to our kids growth and development! At our kids most recent Dr.’s appts our pediatrician was very impressed with our toddler’s linguistic skills and our infant’s developmental milestones! It’s so reassuring that the time our kids spend at daycare is assisting in their physical and mental development! We also have been very impressed the the center’s director - her dedication and true love for our kids means the world! Randi and Michael Egan
Joshua Stoll: Let me start by saying that I know how difficult it is to care for babies all day, every day. I also know how hard it is to find reliable staff in this market and economy. Opening a center in the midst of a pandemic has a slew of obstacles, and I give ownership a-lot of credit for weathering the storm. This being said, there were a few things the care staff missed when caring for our son.- Communication: closures were not communicated in a timely enough manner to find alternative care. Protocol & incidents surrounding COVID were inconsistent between staff members & ownership- Staff: teachers were not engaged and often were cleaning up the room & getting ready to leave as kids were still there (pre-5:30). We experienced One incident with a teacher screaming at kids in the hallway, to be told "it was okay, they were her kids". Our son is very active, and has a fun personality. He was often up front or hanging out with a teacher 1:1 instead of being with the other kids. We also often had to remind the teachers in the infant room to use diaper cream and to only offer a pacifier when he was fussy/sleeping. They would note that they had done either of those things and looked for praise, assuming it was something above and beyond what they should be doing. We had been on waitlists for 4 other care centers in the area and chose TLE because they were the only ones with an opening at the time. We finally were placed in a new center and our son is sleeping an average of 2 hours a day, where he rarely slept for more than 30 minutes at TLE. He is also happier to be dropped off in the morning and we have much fewer "destroyed" onesies after being soiled during the day. Had we not gotten placed in a new center, we would have sought out a nanny for the same prices as TLE.I hope training resources and quality staff become more consistent at TLE.
Ashley Jasperse: We enjoyed our time at TLE. The facility is brand new, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The teachers were always friendly and loving to our daughter. Being a new center, the owner was very present during the first couple of months and made sure things were up and running. She truly went above and beyond. The director is very warm, welcoming, and loving towards the learners. She wears many hats at the center and has always dealt with things professionally and with a positive attitude.
Marissa Romence: Although new to the area, this childcare center is a wonderful place for your children. The LEAP curriculum is very well thought out and the inclusion of technology in the curriculum is outstanding. No other childcare center will update you on your phone via their app about what your child is doing, eating, with whom they are playing with, etc. They also have a touch screen board where kids learn to write their numbers and letters. The owner loves children and is frequently seen holding small children, passing out food to the kids at lunchtime, and engaging kids in conversation. We truly loved The Learning Experience and would not hesitate to bring our children there again. Thank you Learning Experience!

Natalie Dietrich: My child has been going here since they were a newborn and I absolutely love it. The staff is amazing and treat my child very well. I’ve built great bonds with the staff and it’s like my child’s “second home” very respected in my eyes.
Lexie thomas: Critical:Professionalism,QualityToxic work environment

clear as water: Critical:ProfessionalismSeen they are abusing children, yanking their arms out of their sockets and not telling parents. Have no idea how they are still up and running.
Beautifully Brown: DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD(REN) HERE THEY ARE ABUSING CHILDREN AND COVERING IT UP A YOUNG MOTHER DID NOT KNOW WHY HER CHILD WAS BEHAVING DIFFERENTLY AND FOUND OUT AFTER A DISLOCATED SHOULDER THAT THE TEACHER HAS BEEN ABUSING HIM!!!! DAILY AND LYING ABOUT IT WITH CAMERA PROOF THE STAFF IS BACKING THE ABUSE THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN. NO STAR REVIEW

Bright Horizons at Spectrum: what do users think?
Kim Gheen: I'm struggling with care for my father in a state far from where I live. He doesn't have relatives or any other kind of care except that he lives in assisted living. He can't drive and there are no friends in the area. Eldercare could conceivably mean helping to get his needs met by picking up essentials at the grocery store. No need to be rude when I make an inquiry along those lines.
Kevin Pliml: I dont have a child
Julia Duthie: Our family recently relocated to Grand Rapids and Bright Horizons made the transition so much easier on both our child and us! Our daughter loves the school and staff and they do a fantastic job of sharing photos and everything they do during the day with parents. I highly recommend this school for their early childhood development curriculum and caring staff.
