Seth DeVries, MD: what do users think?
Richard Carlson: Our son had several siezures in a 6 week span, cannot talk to the Dr. Just nursesAnd they relay his thoughts...not to the word though...guess he is too busy so we decided to leave this practice! So happy that we did.
Eulalia Garcia: Great Dr. have been getting brushed off by 2 specialist, ER doctors and my daughter was still not being able to function. Dr DeVries took the time to listen to us and come up with a plan and not make us feel like my teenager was making it up. Love the guy. 100% recommended

Dr. Olufemi O. Soyode, MD: what do users think?
Jamie Loker: Our experience with Dr. Soyode has been superb! We were originally referred to CACN for my daughter's struggles with CVS, Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome. Not only has Dr. Soyode worked patiently with her, trying various combinations of medication and supplements to finally give her some relief from her cyclical suffering, but he has compassionately treated her as a whole person aside from her neurological disorders. He has referred us to other specialists such as ENT and endocrinologist, helping us to fit together all the pieces to a very difficult puzzle. Due to his diligence, we are thrilled with the answers and relief we have found. The CACN office has communicated well with us via phone, email, and their patient portal, and maintained current reports from our primary physician as well. I give this office the highest marks, and highly recommend Dr. Soyode without any reservation.
scott nogar: Dr. Soyode listens very well, and thoughtfully comes to a conclusion that best helps my son.
Kent Spencer: DO NOT VISIT--The doctor was nice. However, he is unable/incompetent/? on managing his office in a professional manor. He only has a single staff member and cannot respond to messages in a timely fashion. I have had a billing error that he was to resolve and instead of fixing he sent it to collections and threatens repeated collection fees that exceed the charge of ($15). When confronted the doctor deleted my online account and email history.
Meochia Thompson: I am so grateful for Dr. Soyode. His staff was very friendly and he made me feel safe and comfortable. He answered all my questions and concerned and I didn’t feel rushed. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who truly cares and knows their stuff!
Stephanie Kajtazovic: Really love Dr. Soyode but he truly needs a better front desk staff. Am not pleased with the woman behind the counter. Not very friendly and that's not something you want to see when walking into a children's care facility.
Kim Bowers: Great place for your medical needs, they treat you like you matter, listen to what you say and take time to really listen and that your needs are taken care of.
Shelli: Dr. Soyode is very knowledgeable, great with our son, and was quick to respond when we were in the ER. Highly recommended CACN!
Richard Carlson: A wonderful caring doctor!
Megan Poe: Dr. Soyode was wonderful! He took his time with us and was very thorough and caring, and answered all of our questions. We’re glad our PCP referred us here!
Lalena Dansby: We have had great experiences with Dr. Soyode and his staff. Yvonne is amazing . All of our questions are always answered in a timely manner. Dr. Soyode takes his time to understand our needs. Thank you Dr. Soyode and staff!
Martha Myrick: Amazing!!! So thankful for such a wonderful place all around. From the first phone call, to the front desk, to the doctor. Made what isn’t always an easy diagnosis or visit truly a great experience. We felt that everyone heard us, listened to our concerns, and explained things fully. Thank you!
Rose Luera: I am so very happy with the care Dr Soyode has provided my special needs daughter Olivia Consuelo Luera we are very blessed
Angela Thorn: With in the past 5 months, we have taken our daughter to 8 different doctors, that pass us off to another doctor, with no answers. We met Dr. Soyode yesterday, and he is the 1st doctor to want to figure out what is wrong. He gave us a starting point. Dr Soyode explained everything to us that we were going to do and answered all of our questions thoroughly. It is clear he will not just pass us along. The staff was welcoming and kind also. My daughter, my husband and I feel like we met a diamond in the rough doctor that actually cares. When you get that from one meeting, you know you are in good hands.
Autumn B: I was so excited for the appointment with my son. I thought finally, Finally! we’d get some answers or some help. He was struggling so hard to sit in class and I just wanted him to be able to sit with his peers. I was even willing to pay for this appointment out of pocket, which I did. It shouldn’t matter at all but it was nice to see someone who looked like us treat us as well. But all the excitement quickly went away as He offered no help at all. I paid for this appointment to be just as confused and in the dark as when we came. Nothing was changed or discussed and mind you I paid for this out of pocket! What upset me most was that he then scheduled our next appointment out 6 weeks later. For what exactly? We didn’t start meds or do anything that we needed to have such a long length between visits. Thankfully we found another provider who went into treatment right away and our boy is doing so well in school now.
Marcia Gage: Dr. Soyode is very caring, did a great job talking to my daughter. Got us a treatment for my daughter's headaches that actually helped her. The office staff and portal are great for answering questions and working with you. Thank you Dr. Soyode.
Amy Mead: Dr Soyode and his staff are wonderful. It's nice being heard by your doctor and all concerned addressed. Thank you for taking the time to ease this momma's mind!
Lynette Weener: It went good
andrea holsey: Great
Becky Schra: Dr. Soyode is consistently kind. He listens well and gives us multiple ideas that have helped our daughter feel a lot better and reduced her neck pain significantly.
Erica G: Dr. Soyode is very patient and kind. He explained the treatment plan and future plans, medications, and reasons for doing things. He allowed us to ask questions and he addressed everything we were concerned about. We were not rushed at all during the appointment, he took his time and did not push to move quickly through the appointment. His nurse Amanda was incredible with our son. She also was so kind and patient, listening to him as well as us during the intake. The front staff were friendly and explained what we needed. We are very pleased with Dr. Soyode and recommend him as a peds neurologist to anyone who is looking for their child. He looks at the whole picture and has the child's best interest in mind. We feel so fortunate to have been recommended to go to him.
Madison D: Doctor Soyode is an extremely caring and analytical doctor who makes it clear that his goal is to help you reach a stable neurological health. It is a very welcoming environment for kids and teenagers alike. Could not give any less than 5 starts.

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital: what do users think?
Kailee Davis: Went to the er with my daughter due to her being dehydrated and her dr wanted her to get and iv only to get there and the arrogant dr that saw her told us that since her blood glucose was 88 they wouldn’t do an iv he said it had to be in the 60’s before they would do it, all he did was check her ears and send her home on zofran which she puked up in the room there and he didn’t seem bothered at all, once we left we took her to a different hospital the next day and she was so lethargic and her blood levels dropped to 47 she was hardly able to stand, now she’s been in a different hospital for 3 days due to dehydration and found out she has rotavirus and developed a heart murmur from dehydration which if the dr would have ran tests and actually listened to her chest he would have found out. Will never go back to the er there again.
Angela Provatas: My daughter was sent to Helen DeVos from a different hospital for low oxygen, and severe coughing. The "Team" spent alot of time listening to our concerns, and issues we've been having for several months, and through tests, found out she has been aspirating food into her lungs causing all the issues with her breathing, etc. Without their help, we would've been clueless on how to help our daughter. Thank you to all the staff, truly from the bottom of my heart. Its been a month since we were there, and we now have our happy baby back. True night and day difference. Thank you thank you thank you!
T JB: What an amazing place in Grand Rapids!
Ashley Shettles: I took my 4 month old baby here because he was having difficulty breathing and running a 102+ temperature. I waited nearly 30 minutes in line holding my baby in my arms, just to get checked in. The waiting room was overflowing with people waiting to be seen. We ended up waiting in excess of 2 hours to be seen. Idk what they consider an emergency because obviously difficulty breathing isn't. The doctor was incompetent, telling me it didn't matter how high my baby's fever got he didn't need to come back to the ER. Absolutely no test were run, no blood work nothing. So he made a not so educated guess as to what was wrong with my baby, in addition someone falsified information on the after visit summary and notes. I'm completely disgusted with our experience at this hospital.
Sherry Pickering: My son William Pickering had 3 open heart surgeries through out his 6 years so far, the doctors and nurses are awesome, they treat you like family at Helen Devo's children hospital, they help give me back my son, a big thank you from me and my family. If it wasn't for u and God I wouldn't have my son here today. Once again thank you
Scott Reese: PSA to all of my friends who have large bills at Spectrum Health / Corwell health. As of last fall, they changed their prompt pay to 7 days from date of service, not date of billing. I was just billed for Chloe's hospital service this week and received notification of the bill in my chart. I haven't even received the paper bill yet and they still won't do an prompt pay discount anymore.
kimberly knapp: Absolutely an amazing hospital with AMAZING staff!! My daughters stay was the absolute best, she loved all the nurses and techs. The food was soooo good! She really enjoyed her meals. Thank You!!!
Mikaela Thompson: The staff was very kind but the room, floor, and bathrooms were disgusting. Hair and dirt everywhere, something dripping on the walls and the floor looked mopped with dirty water. The chairs were broke and very disgusting. I brought it to the docs attention and she insisted the room had just been cleaned rather than making it right. My child is immune compromised and that's why we were there. Now I have to worry she has brought something home from there. So gross.
kat baldwin: Brought my 3 month there due to a fever they helped her and she broke her fever.
Alvin Iler: EXCELLENT CARE! My daughter was there for 4 days in the ICU 8th and 9th floor. Dr's Nurses Aides, The Entire Team took care of her. Thank you all!! God Bless!
Steve Mcphee: This place is amazing. An I want to thank all doctors and nurses for helping my Baby boy get better. Thank you all so much you guys are amazing!!!
Amy Bruin: Wonderful care! Kelly, Christa and Josh on 9th floor are amazing! The care my child received while staying here was top notch. From the er docs to the transport team, we have no complaints! Thank you!
Ashley Hunter: Son had tonsillectomy surgery which went great. We were put in a “one” patient room we are not from here so my aunt “the driver” asked could she stay in the room with myself and son due to the travel back and forth but they “refused” due to “covid rules”. The day goes on and we are now in our official room for the night… Only to have a janitor come in and clean our room while we were here which is a small “1” person room we are already in to have her to inform us they were add another patient!!! And my aunt had to leave to add another 2! People to the room we were pushed literally to the window with a small divider you can literally stand over and wasn’t the length on the bed hipaa clearly didn’t exist AT ALL!!!! The patient has also had an additional person (3) around 2am dropping things loudly and laughing third person leaves only to have the patient parent Coughing bad!!! All night!!! Clearly she has a sickness going on nurses came in and have literally only treated the other patient all night I don’t even know my son vitals the monitor came off and they clearly didn’t care going on over an hour!!! #Worst experience Ever!!!!
Gayle Welch: I took my grandson who is 14 in due to a very high fever. The lady at the checkin was not friendly at all and the 2 nurses checking his vitals were also not very polite and wanted to disagree with me on the facts If a 14 year old boy notices that, it is a problem. We will most likely not visit them again. The security guard/valet was much better than the hospital staff
Jackie Deaton: My granddaughter had to have a pluge put into her heart it's because of them she is alive she is only 14 and is so brave
Dan Rose: Our son has been in and out of the DeVos Children's Hospital and continues to receive care from one of their clinics attached to the Hospital. Everyone is extremely accommodating from the doctors, who view you as an equal, the nurses, who go out of their way to help and make it the best experience possible during a difficult time, and the security personal helping to get you where you need to be. The facilities are top of the line and geared for kids. For Children's Hospitals, Helen DeVos is the Place to be!Update: 11-2022 We still frequent the hospital for monthly infusions and still the best of the best!
Stephen Glaesman: My daughter recently had surgery here and my wife and I were blown away with the service here. Our nurse Ashley was nothing short of Amazing! My daughter was dreading getting an IV but Ashley gave her the IV and my daughter didn't even know. After her surgery she received a certificate/award in the mail. Not only did we receive the award, but Ashley wrote a very sweet card to her which topped off the whole experience. My daughter has had 0 pain from the surgery and it's been roughly 5 days. I would highly recommend this hospital!!
David Figlus: Friendly, courteous nurses & Dr.Always there to help
S K: These 3 stars are for the hospital not the staff. It seems to me that the doctors/residents/nurses/janitors are overworked and overrun. We landed in the PICU to be treated mainly by nurses, some residents and seen by one doctor(usually only once) every 12 hours. Our care was all over the place and everyone had different ideas about the best way to handle our case. Felt very scattered and scary. After 2 night visit in PICU got sent to general floor where we shared a room with another sick patient (RSV-how they knew it was same virus is beyond me). And continued to receive almost all of our care from nurses who contradicted what the doctor/respiratory therapist were saying.Feel very bad for parents/guardians who don’t have the means or understanding to advocate for their children. My husband and I were there the entire time and very vocal and probing. On the one hand we are very fortunate to have had Devos Children’s Hospital there when we needed it but also feel like care could have been better and care was lacking because staff were spread thin and overworked. (All nurses/doctors/etc were very kind!) just no one was on the same page.
Stefanie Snyder: Our experience was as wonderful as could be when our 2 year old son needed an appendectomy recently. The surgeons did a fantastic job, the level of care from everyone was top notch, and all the staff were helpful and compassionate. Thank you!
Bobbie Dillon: If I could put 0 stars I would. I brought my son here the doctor didn’t even actually look in his ears or check him over.. she was in the room less than 5 minutes and told me he was fine and sent us home.. I took him to Metro health hospital and come to find out he isn’t fine he has a severe ear infection.. I will not waste my time with spectrum no more.. very dissatisfied

Dr. Kipp L. Chillag, DO: what do users think?
Allison Montroy: Whenever I see Dr. Chillag he always takes all the time that I need with him to figure out a plan that we are both comfortable with. I have referred several family members and friends to his office. I can't say enough about how happy I am to be a patient of his!
