When we picked her up she was sooooo happy to see us, and the girls that were with her the day before told us that although they could tell she was anxious, she had fun with another dog like her, and spent lots of time trying to sit on laps lol.She spent the rest of the day sleeping and giving us lots of love, but I'm confident she was taken care of and given lots of love and attention while we were gone. Although I generally only come here for emergency roachies and wormies and some other kibbles as they don't have much stuff for hedgehogs, but the toys here are my baby's fav since there are so so many. The staff is really welcoming and always offer to help, and is patient which is nice because I stutter a bit when I'm nervous. Quality of live feeder insects are 50/50, sometimes it's good but sometimes it's dead(mostly roaches and occasionally superworms). The other animals in store seem taken care of (more than bare minimum for a pet store) which is nice to see!!

I wish I knew her name… but I had a crazy morning trying to get an appt in for my sick dog that had been vomiting and had a bad case of diarrhea all day so I came in to buy probiotics. I was extremely frazzled and came in with a plan to purchase the product and leave… but that was far from the case esp with an 8 month old. Anyway, the sweet young lady that helped me was extremely gracious to me and my dog that took a #2 in the store… she checked me out and even offered to help me bring my items out to my car. I hope she knows what an impact she made in my day. I’m convinced pet supplies has some of the the kindest staff!

Jake Thompson: Much nicer store and location than the one they had on Kalamazoo.Great selection and sometimes prices for canned cat foods and health supplies. If you have your store card you can definitely get some deals.Employees have been nice every visit. They even offer to assist you with bringing your bags to your car for you if you need it. Which is good to know if my mom were to come here alone and needed help.

Amanda Lynn: This was my first visit to this location and I have not been in a Pet Supplies Plus in years. My Mom and I were both looking for a low fat dog food due to both of our dogs having diabetes and pancreas issues. She bought a Redford Naturals Dog Food and was telling me how Low in Fat it was. I looked at the label and discovered it was 15% fat and she swore it was 8%. Online I found two Redford Naturals in Salmon that were 15% and one that was 8% I didn't realize exactly the differences since the photos looked the same (or so I thought due to the small photos) So my Mom was thinking she would have to switch Dog Foods because it was high in fat. That perhaps something about the Dog Food was changed from her first bag to her second. Her dog is also allergic to Chicken, so that cuts out a lot of options. I wanted to keep our dog food the same due to the frequent visits I make to her home with my dog.On entering I was immediately greeted by a Gentleman named Tyler. I explained what I saw on the Website and the dilemma. He wasted no time in bringing me over to the Redford Naturals and looking at multiples labels. It was then I saw my Mom had purchased "Small Breed" instead of "Healthy Weight" on her second trip. The bags look almost identical except for the small "Healthy Weight" and "Small Breed" labels. I was happy to find the Healthy Weight one and for the fact we could continue to use the same dog food. I really, really appreciated the time Tyler took to help me. Not a lot of places have customer service like this and people who care about their customers.I also discovered in looking through multiple labels, that the Redford Naturals was the Lowest Fat Dog food the store carried of the brands I checked (and I checked many).This is a brand that is only sold at Pet Supplies Plus.Because of the time Tyler spent to help me and the fact that Pet Supplies Plus has this wonderful Dog Food, Pet Supplies Plus will now have another customer for life.I will also note that the Lady that was upfront was also very polite and a pleasure to work with.So, thank you again to the staff for making my experience wonderful. I truly hope they see this review and the impact their work efforts made.

(Hope I didnt just jinx myself) got our VERY 1st discus from here. So newbie to discus Hobby. Have had fish tank for 10plis year. Our discus is thriving almost 2 yrs later. Order online to add to the One from VIpets. They ALL died. Except the one from VIPets. He looked like he was on his last leg stressed from whatever happened in the tank from online ordered discus. Tank cleaning , stress coat Salt and my guy is still THRIVING he is the alpha of the tank. We have succeeded added 5 more discus. 3 more from this place! And all are doing great. 2 more from another place (online -tried again another place, thankfully a great place) BUT ALL 6 fish are doing GREAT. I will never get fish from anywhere else. (Expect from the last online sorce we ordered from) but will always check with VI pets FIRST.Also got Roseline sharks from there too. (Some don't believe they can live in water with discus because of temp. But they are thriving as well, hope it's stays that way. )

Buying isopods, plants, dirts, rocks and other things. I finally got some fish. I’ve had over a dozen running aquariums at the same time in my past, so I’m not a beginner aquatics person. 35 dollars worth of the 40 dollars worth of fish I bought. Only 1 survivor!! Who has ick. But I’m getting ahead of myself.I go in there on Saturday with my singular dead fish (but 2 others were missing) and I’m sent away to get a water sample. Fine. Fair enough. I bought some other stuff and left. Between Saturday and Monday when I had the chance to go back, another fish died, leaving me with 1 that has ick and my bristlenose. I assumed the Colombian bristlenose ate the other 2 carcasses because they did not exist in my tank, but it too sadly died before Monday.Now, for the first time, I get to meet the owner! I will not be shopping there again. Their tank clearly brought ick into my tank. She herself tested it and I might add, only said “the nitrites not 0 and that’s what we want”. Well owner of V.I. Pets. You sold me sick fish and didn’t refund me full value. Because you didn’t want to. Be honest. sorry your defective fish died so the bottom feeder did it’s job and cleaned up.Anyway, I suggest everyone goes to Amazon to buy all their products. Seeing as the only thing V.I. Pets has that Amazon doesn’t have is pets. And when a company sells defective pets and products that are cheaper on Amazon, their customer service is basically the only thing keeping a company alive.So thank you for all the help I’ve gained from other store employees, you’ve been helpful and kind. Unfortunately, the owner just doesn’t care enough about dedicated animal enthusiasts and their frustrations with her company and her products.110 gallon paludarium being created once the 75g plant stock tank gets more established.Bye V.I. Who then ran into a hole of chewed up drywall into the walls of the place. We laughed about it but it was more so the attitudes we were given from one of the staff. After getting our fish home last week both our tanks became infected with ich.

We were expecting a long turn around time for him to socialize with us but after 3 days he's greeting us at his cage and asking for scratches. Heather the small pets manager deserves a raise it's incredible how she was able to socialize him so well. chinchillas normally take upwards of a month to socialize with their owners.

The receipt layout doesn’t look right, and when I went back and asked the women who rang me she was offended by me asking/not understanding the receipt. I have disability, so when the supervisor and associate are both giving different answer it’s useless to understand.

Jay Perez: The sign outside says the dog wash is open untill 8pm I took my dog in at 7:30 and the 2 employees told me they were closed. I have a busy schedule to keep and 30 minutes is plenty of time to was my small dog so this made a real inconvenience for the rest of my week I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else

peppi: Amazing selection of pet products, the dog wash is only $15 for each dog, you can buy the shampoos for $10. The staff is friendly and the store is big, 4 stars because this visit they did not provided enough towels for both my dogs during their wash

If a dog chews up what you bought them within 60 days, they'll take care of you. And dinner prices for things are less then the local grocery store.

Ended up being where I adopted one of my ferrets - little Juniper aka Juni :) Before I had even brought her home, the workers at Chow Hound were already feeding her a super high-quality, freeze-dried raw food (Orijen brand), had her nails trimmed so nicely, and she smelled like she just had a bath! It’s not easy to keep ferrets both healthy and clean, but they took great care of her, which makes me so happy that they are also promoting good pet care standards for their customers to follow as well (so many pet stores don’t). Brooke was the store associate who helped me and she was wonderful! She went above and beyond, even letting me use the store bathroom as a space to introduce my 2 ferrets to this new one. I just had a surgery and she put my ice pack in the freezer for me while checking out! The best lol. The workers are always really friendly here and I love all the raw feeding options they carry. Only complaint, I wish they regularly sold reptile feeders like superworms and dubias
