My students can participate in a variety of performance opportunities, and we all enjoy our camaraderie around the 🎹 keyboard!🎶

Mike Dyer: Diane at the front desk is awesome…always welcoming and helpful with questions. The instructors are very good and my daughter has really enjoyed her lessons after starting with the ukulele last summer. Thank you!!
Jessica Hedeman: Great place to get kids engaged in music.. they are very accomodating and welcoming of all levels. Fun atmosphere...
Andrew Cloutier: My son really enjoyed his piano lessons. The instructor was knowledgeable and kind.
Balaji Vutla: Good school to learn piano.
Hues & Scapes Interior Design Studio: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueExcellent teaching, high level of professionalism, great opportunities for children to perform.
Samantha Reynolds: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe really enjoy the education that Justin provides… Not only does he want his students to learn but also enjoy piano. We also appreciate knowing the history/theory. I feel you learn better if you know the why as well as the how
Rachel Smith: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe front desk staff is so helpful and friendly! And we have been so happy with our children’s piano lessons with Mr. Justin.
Betsy Weber: My daughter has been taking lessons with Annie at Academy Of Music for almost 4 years. The instruction and guidance have been invaluable. My daughter’s love for vocal music has grown along with her talent and technique. Now in high school, she plans on pursuing music as her major in college. Thank you so much Academy of Music for making my daughter’s dreams come true!
Jenny Chen: Great teachers and staffs !
Abigail Brown: My daughter really enjoys her lessons every week. And even though she is barely 5 and is a bit wiggly during lessons, her teacher handles it with grace and she has learned a lot in 3 months and loves everything about violin.
carrie benchich: We have a great experience at Academy of Music GR! My daughter enjoyed her lessons and not only improved musically but gained confidence in herself.
Muneeba Khan: Pricey but excellent service and some great instructors.
Tanya Mayor: Incredible place for my child to grow in her music skills!!!
Victor Jammal: This academy of music is a great place for learning the craft, and they helped me make the transition into high-level classical piano, where I am now. Enough said.
Ali Bendert: The Academy of Music offers exactly what we were looking for in piano lessons for our young daughter. Music Moves is a child-based pedagogy that teaches children music the way children learn a language: a lot of exposure to music and patterns, opportunities for experimentation, and an emphasis on listening and developing the ear rather than trying to read music right off the bat. We feel so blessed that we were able to find Miss Tracy at the Academy of Music and we recommend her and the Academy to anyone who is looking!
Ashley Smith: We love Academy of Music my son is 7 and has been attending for over a year now taking drum lessons with Mr Garrett. He is so patient with my son and rolls with the changes. The make up class options are an awesome option as well for when you can make class. Matt the director has been amazing as well at answering questions and so is the front desk staff.
Gwendolyn Higby: My daughter has been taking music lessons through AOM for two years now. The teachers and staff are patient, friendly and work with students to help them learn at their pace and challenge them to be their best. We have really enjoyed classes here and would recommend classes here for sure.
Suzette C: My kids enjoy their instructors very much! They actually practice regularly without prompting!

Purposeful Piano Lessons: what do users think?
Michelle Zwyghuizen: I've had multiple children doing lessons with Esther for several years and we love it! Esther spends a great amount of time teaching the kids musical theory so that they have a strong foundation. Her lessons are so much more than hitting the right key on the piano and my girls have had a great head start in school music programs that they participate in. Esther brings her family community together frequently with group classes and events - you get so much more than a 1x1 piano lesson with her program. She's a great mix of being serious about learning and also having fun. Can't recommend her enough!
Kelly Groves: Esther is a wonderful teacher! She goes out of her way for her students and does extra events for the kids and their families.
Christyn Gaston: We couldn’t be more pleased with our daughter’s piano experience! Esther teaches thoroughly, pleasantly, and patiently. We have several children and have had in total 10 other teachers for various instruments. Esther comes with my highest recommendation of them all!
Amy Sequeira: Esther has been teaching my son for almost two years. She is patient, fun, effective, and encouraging. You won't be disappointed!
Leigh Emery: Two of my children, ages 10 and 8, take lessons here. One has been playing for four years, and the other for two. Esther is a great teacher- she provides clear instruction and expectations while remaining laid back and providing encouragement and guidance to meet them where they are at.All three of my kids have have learned an instrument with the Suzuki method (the third plays violin) and we have absolutely loved the approach! They are able to begin playing music before mastering all of the note-reading and theory, they develop an "ear" for music by learning their pieces just by hearing the song played by professionals (by book 2 they are also note-reading,) and the parents are very involved in every aspect of the process.Purposeful Piano has helped my children to gain an appreciation for music, a love for the piano, and challenges them daily to develop self-control of their minds and bodies.
Heather Ingraffia: My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Esther for about 6 years! We really like the Suzuki method of learning music by ear. estherbis very patient and creative when it comes to practicing challenging passages. The bi-monthly piano groups are also a great way to interact with other children and grow in piano theory.

Samuel Reyes: Awesome! My daughter loves it!
Shelly Carlson: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismDeanna is an amazing piano teacher. I highly recommend her to anyone! If you’re a beginner or not, she can work with you. My son really enjoys his lessons with her.
Boogiba: Started lessons at The Birchard Piano Studio with our second grader six months ago and couldn't be more pleased with the progress. Deanna is great with children and runs a great studio.
kevin munson: We started getting piano lessons from Ms. Deanna over 2 years ago. She is great! She is so good with dealing with kids and teaching on their level. She does a good job of teaching theory, along with how to play music.
Michelle Kokic: I’ve been playing for 8-9 years and she has helped me grow so much within a couple years. I enjoy going to lessons and learning about how I can improve. Thank you for all your time and hard work put into teaching, I’m very grateful to have you as my teacher.
Lynn Ai: Deanna Birchard is a great piano teacher. She is very nice, kind and patience teacher. Deanna has the ability to make my kids feel comfortable in their ability. She has a great skill set. My kids have her for three years and still continuing with her. I highly recommend her if you look for awesome piano teacher!!!
Cindy Price: Our daughters go to Birchard Piano Studios. After their time with Deanna, they leave her lessons feeling confident about themselves and their ability to play the piano. We highly recommend Deanna!
Lisa Kresge: My daughter started piano with Diana this past summer. We are extremely happy with her teacher. She is professional with the business aspect but very relational as a person and as a teacher. My daughter is very comfortable with her. I also like how she challenges my daughter to think about her own playing. I am excited to see how far my daughter will go with her as a teacher.Lisa
Rebecca J: Deanna is a great teacher and we are thankful that we found her to teach our son! She is great with communication, and her rates are very reasonable. We highly recommend the Birchard Piano Studio!
Erik J: Our daughter started teaching herself how to play the piano. We signed her up for lessons and we could not be more happy. We highly recommend this studio and Mrs. Birchard. This year we increased the time of her session as our child did not want it to end.

Olive Tree Music Academy Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Kathleen O: Trish is a fabulous teacher. She coaches well, gently teasing out more effort to tackle difficult pieces. Listening to Trish and my daughter in virtual lessons is a joy. I can hear how much my girl has learned about music and how to bring out more layers of the cello sounds.
Jennifer Escala: We have been so pleased with our experience with Olive Tree Academy and our wonderful voice teacher Bonnie! My son loves going to his voice lesson and his skill, knowledge and confidence have increased greatly since working with her! I would highly recommend the Academy and Bonnie!
Brianne Sutton: Mary has been an exceptional piano teacher for our daughter. Within just a few weeks of her beginning lessons, Mary had our daughter ready for her first recital! Everyone at Olive Branch has been friendly. They’re very accommodating to schedule changes and communicate well on their end when they need to reschedule. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, especially for my daughter as she begins her musical endeavors.
Sophia Olup: I am a student here and my teacher, Miss Trish, is so great with me! She has taught me so much about cello and is very kind and understanding. She molds her lessons to the way I learn and play and is very easy to talk to. I love olive tree and will go here for as long as possible!
Yvonne Doyle: Fantastic instructors! They're encouraging and enthusiastic. My family has benefited so much from taking music lessons at Olive Tree!
Gooser Gone: Mary is a wonderful teacher, kind and patient and it’s lovely having a lesson in a nice house with lots of budding musicians around. We feel very at home.
Dawn Costello: "My daughter Olivia begun taking lessons at Olive Tree Music Academy in Andover 3 years ago she had shown an interest and my husband and I gave her lessons for her 6th birthday. All I can say is it has been the best gift she has ever received and we couldn't of picked a better music academy for her to grow her love of music and instrument. Olivia has had Mrs. Sarah from day one of her violin journey and we have fell in love with her since lesson #1. She is one of the kindest most encouraging instructors out there. She guides her students to their full potential steadily and always encouragingly and Olivia always looks forward to her lessons. We look forward to continuing Olivia's love of violin with Olive Tree Music Academy and Mrs. Sarah as her instructor. We Love Mrs. Sarah! Her sister Isobel has been taking piano lessons for almost 3 years now as well, and she has grown so much under Sarah's guidance and encouragement. Isobel is growing more and more confident in her abilities and a great deal of that has to do with the firm and always positive way Sarah instructs her students. She has built a wonderful bond with my daughters and has encouraged them to go beyond where they think their abilities are and I am grateful to her and to Olive Tree for employing such a wonderful person."
Frieda Tynes: I have 3 children and they all take lessons at Olive Tree. My children are 6,8, and 10 y/o. My oldest has had lessons with 2 previous teachers and my middle child with 1 previous teacher. I cannot rave enough about Olive Tree and their teacher Trish. We started in June with my oldest 2 and January with my youngest. Neither my husband or I play an instrument so it took us a minute to find the proper lessons. I now know that I needed an instructor that plays the instrument we want lessons in and has a degree in music. I'm not stating that no one else can teach, but as a parent, you need this if you do not play an instrument. My children have learned so much in these past months. I can't even imagine where they would be if we started with Trish. My children have varying interests in music but we as a family expect everyone to practice. Trish had my youngest child ready for the recital in February. I was also so impressed with the recital. Lessons and music chosen are specific to the music a child enjoys. This has helped our family because no 2 children are playing the same music. Music lessons are an investment and we are paying for three children so it was necessary to find the best place we could find. We are happy to call Olive Tree our home and are looking forward to working with them for years to come.
Chris Kisatsky: The Olive Tree gave our son the opportunity to go from never having played an instrument (at age 5) to playing songs of his choice on the violin in a recital before a full audience--which he did twice a year for the past four years. His instructor Mrs. Sarah was personal and friendly, molding her approach to fit his personality, while holding true to the rigors of learning and mastering an instrument. I would recommend Olive Tree in general and Mrs. Sarah in particular. My son's practices at Olive Tree allowed him to confidently take up another instrument this fall, as he looks forward to playing in his school's band. Thank you, Sarah and Trish!
Meghan Gill: My daughter has been a student here for 3 years. She loves going to her lessons! Her instructors, Sarah D. and Trish G., are not only excellent musicians themselves, but excellent teachers. They always give great feedback, are positive and realistic. If you need to practice more, they let you know! They actually helped me find a (FREE) piano for my daughter, taking out time from their busy schedules to help her, suggesting brands, types, and even a moving company. Everyone I have met there shows a warmth and integrity you may not find every day.At the end of the season (usually twice per year), the students have a recital at the Madison Hotel, showcasing all of their hard work in a fancy (but low-key) way. It gives them an opportunity to experience being in front of an audience of friends and family, in a 'big' place, but the comfort of knowing that it's fine if they aren't 'perfect.'Truly the best and ONLY place I recommend for my friends who are interested in learning an instrument. Don't waste your time anywhere else.
Jason Tilley: I have always been someone who loved to sing. I sing in my choir, I sing in the shower, I'm the first to volunteer for Karaoke. I just knew I wasn't doing it right and sought out some professional assistance. The people that I have met at Olive Tree have been fantastic. From my teacher Angela, to the owners Trish and Andy I can't say more good things about these people. If you are at all interested in learning to sing, play and instrument, or learn music theory, Olive Tree Music Academy is the place to do it!!

Music Lessons for Less: what do users think?
Philip Degner: My kids (7 & 5) have had great success in their beginning stages of learning piano with Mr. Tom - I'm very impressed! Mr. Tom's rates are the best that I know of, especially considering his expertise in so many different instruments. He has a very welcoming home, which we go to on a weekly basis. Thanks Mr. Tom!
Miguel Martinez: Lessons are very reasonable and Tom is very talented and experienced. My daughter who is 8 now has been going since she was 6 years old. He is teaching her to play piano. She enjoys her lessons with Tom and looks forward to new lessons every week.
amy pugh (ford): Tom is kind, understanding, and gentle with my sensitive, young new musician. Lessons are very affordable and, even better, Tom knows how to teach and motivate kids!
Laura Subject: I have really enjoyed getting piano lessons with Tom at Music for Less. He is very knowledgeable about teaching piano as well as music theory, and tailors his lessons based on each student’s interests. His lessons are very affordable and he is very flexible if something comes up and you can’t make the lesson that week. Tom is very welcoming to new students and always has a smile on his face! As an added bonus, he never lectures me when I might not have practiced as much as I should’ve that week and adjusts the lessons accordingly to what I have done at home. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for piano lessons!
Jacalyn V: When COVID shut down the world, my kid had just started in band on the trombone. We searched and searched for someone who would do online lessons, distanced lessons, anything to keep his skills moving forward. After a little over a year, my kid outpaced the tutor we had and I had to find someone else who could challenge my kid to continue to grow. Let me tell you, finding someone who can tutor in a brass instrument is harder than I thought! When I found Tom, I was first impressed by the sheer library of instrument expertise he has. If you want to play it, he could probably teach it. Our first lesson went so well, and we immediately knew this was the tutor who would help us get first chair, and help us keep it. We've only been with Tom for a few months and already my kid has grown in understanding and passion for the trombone. Tom is patient and gentle, and explains clearly. When added to that how affordable the lessons are, and how flexible he is to work with whatever life may have thrown your way, I really can't recommend him enough. He has been such a blessing and we are excited for new challenges!
Luana Tolea: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueSince working with Tom since February 2021, my daughter has learned so much playing piano. I am pleased with my daughter's progress and would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a music teacher. Tom is very knowledgeable, patient, he explains complex concepts in an approachable way, he makes lessons fun and enjoyable.
Marc H: After not playing my saxophone in roughly 20 years Tom has helped revive an old passion. Thank you!
Stephanie Gaylord: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI’ve been taking flute lessons for 3 months. Tom is fun. I love coming to my lessons! -John, 10 years old
Deborah Long: My grandson think he is a great teacher and should be teaching music lesson at schools.
Lavender Blue: Qualified, affordable, patient teaching with care. Highly recommended
