West Michigan Piano: what do users think?
Lisa Spangler: West Michigan Piano has been so helpful to our school. Our school (NorthPointe Christian) was in desperate need of a couple pianos. They donated us two pianos in great shape, delivered them to the school. Our future business will always be with them as they have been so helpful to us; from moving pianos, to helping set up dollies for our Clavinova's, to donating pianos out of the kindness of their heart for a school in need.
Chase Ockerse: Great service, friendly people, and a fantastic choice of pianos. I'd highly recommend.
Dan Galentine: We are so happy that we purchased our Kawai K-400 from West Michigan Piano. Right from the start we felt at home as Lyn stayed past closing time answering all of our questions. Then later as we closed the deal with Jeff, the same thing, taking extra time to make us feel right at home.Thank you Lyn and Jeff for making our piano purchase such a enjoyable experience!Great piano, greater piano store!
Carrie Kelly: We were very impressed with the three men who moved my parent’s piano to our house. They were punctual, respectful & professional … definitely knew what they were doing. They handled the piano with care & were also mindful of our floors. They paid attention to the details & made sure we had contact information in case any questions came up. I would use them again!
Jordon Biondo: Great communication and service moving a piano to my house!
Marilyn Lankfer: I am so happy with my new piano, a Kawai GX-6 -- with its beautiful resonate sound and great key action! Seth Luplow, the sales associate and technician that I worked with, is exceptional. He patiently worked with me to find just the right piano. And the movers were so professional -- very careful and obviously very experienced. I highly recommend them!
Brandy Wingate: Love this store great friendly people and beautiful pianos
Cecily Shi: Friendly staff and great service.
Julian LaFontsee: A little less selections according to the staff but still had a wide variety of pianos to look at and play. The staff member who greeted me allowed me to play any of the instruments as well as took the time to describe each one in detail. Take the time to go and see the instruments and get the experience!
tony poynter: Great place.
Yelena Wells: Excellent showroom, wonderful staff and fantastic technicians.
Luvone Willis-Guerrero: Such a beautiful place! Beautiful pianos! Beautiful customer service!
Rena M: They were amazing, quick, and professional. If you need someone to move a piano and highly recommend them.
Darcy Draft: Very responsive, great team who moved our piano to another family, with great care. Highly recommend.
David Youngblood: A real professional staff
Stephen Rumler: Nice, clean store with a good selection of pianos, both new and used. Jimmy E helped me to select an exceptional grand piano in my price range, and I could not be happier. When I mailed them the check to pay off the piano, I enclosed a note asking that they call/email me to confirm that they received it. The check was deposited and money withdrawn from my account (no call/email), and when the piano was delivered, the movers presented me an invoice with the amount due (which had already been paid). I showed the movers that I had paid the amount, and they were kind enough to let it go. An interesting lapse in communication for such a substantial amount of money, but still a good experience for the most part.
snazzysportstacker: Happened to be in the area and decided to stop by, just to look around. I'm not fortunate enough to own a grand piano, so I'm always happy to go to a showroom and play one every so often. The gentleman that greeted us was more than happy to let me sit down at any piano i wanted to just to try it out, and the showroom was so beautiful. I've been to other piano stores that were not so welcoming. Very glad that was NOT the case here. Would happily drive 3 hours just to visit again and purchase from them when the opportunity comes.
Tom Bouwman: Came on time, fast, careful, efficient, and courteous. Highly recommend.
Daniel Troyer: We love the Kawai digital piano. Seth was very helpful and the delivery guys did a great job too.
Les Rowsey: The West Michigan Piano moving crew was friendly, courteous and VERY good, quickly moving our new-to-us Kawai piano into our home, and moving our old, hulking, 800+ pound behemoth Ivers and Pond upright to our garage. The moves were accomplished cheerfully and without damage to either the pianos or to our home. Having the right people with the right equipment was cost-effective and efficient. Give Jim a call-You won't regret it!PS-Tip the crew, these guys are hard workers! :)
Brent: Great experience at West Michigan piano. The owner Ken is an awesome guy as well as their sales team. Seth was the one that I worked with the most. The entire team is helpful and friendly. Buying a piano was all new to me and it was nice to be in a place where I could trust their recommendation. I found the price to be more than fair as well! The delivery team was top notch and careful in my home. They continue to provide great customer service even after the sale. Highly recommend.

Piano Nation Grand Rapids: what do users think?
allie lanning: Would give 0 stars if possible. Guy was very rude on the phone saying “I’m not a Yamaha dealer” because I asked if he had a cord for a keyboard I was trying to sell him. Like aren’t you in the business of buying and selling keyboards??? 🤣 Trash and rude customer service would not recommend based on rude first time interaction.
Santiago Hernandez: Very good
Lenore Montiague: Tried to look at pianos but the door was locked and the person inside just sat there staring at us, didn’t let us in. From the outside it looks like they have a wide selection. Will go somewhere else for a piano.
Aaron Taher: Super helpful in deciding what to purchase and what to look for. Drake is super fun and kind and I’ve loved learning from him and buying an upright piano and a digital keyboard from here!
Sandra Birmingham: We are incredibly pleased with our experience with Piano Nation. Based on what we were able to spend, I went in expecting to get a decent used piano to replace the spinet we had owned for 25 years. Instead, Todd negotiated with a manufacturer to secure a lovely, brand new, high quality instrument for us at an amazing price. (I know because I researched the price and reviews of the instrument thoroughly online before we bought it. Piano Nation had a lower price than ANYONE else.) Delivery was seamless and I have been enjoying my new instrument for four months now. It makes me happy every time I sit down to play! Highly recommend!
Sodam Lee: Thank you for your wonderful assistance and help. I never thought that we can have a grand piano in our living room. However, the Piano Nation helped it so that my daughter's dream came true. They are amazing people who are kind, patient and trust-worthy. I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to purchase one.
Jerry Reed: Renee and Todd were awesome to work with. There was no pressure to buy, they were patient with my multitude of questions and extremely helpful in educating me on pianos, talking through what was important to me and the design and differences of the pianos. They assisted us in getting financing and made the process a breeze. We now have a beautiful piano in our home that we love to play for decades to come. Thanks Renee and Todd!!The Reeds
Kristin Reed: I love my piano. Renee and Todd made our dream of owning a baby grand piano possible.
Gary Matthews: The Grand Rapids store was absolutely amazing. The salesperson, Renee, was an absolute delight to work with. This is a first class company and you won't go wrong buying a new or used piano from here. Buying new, I found the place knowledgeable, not pushy, kind, and helpful.
Jessica Malcolm: I am not sure where to begin with the service here. We were looking (last minute) for a certain keyboard. I called the store on the east side of the state and I am not kidding when I say how they bent over backwards to have somebody bring it to the Grand Rapids location to save us the trip over there. This was while they were still setting up the Grand Rpaids location and not even officially open. This was also the week before Christmas and I am sure they were swamped. We felt like the only customers. Pickup was easy, everyone was incredibly professional and they now have a customer for life!
Crystal Yool: What a wonderful gift we received for our family. So grateful for a company like PianoNation for providing us not only valued information but continued support even after the purchase of our piano.
James Cameron: It was a very nice store they just did not have piano music.
Joseph Workman: Wonderful staff great products. Great local business.
Balaji Vutla: Went to shop for piano. Does not have all the brands available. Friendly staff
electrashave: Didn't catch her name but I went to return a piano with some issues and I was treated pretty disrespectfully, was told that there are a bunch of other keys on the piano so why am I worried about 3 or 4, then proceeding to play hard on the piano asking me why I'm worried about it if other notes drown it out, Greg however, was great to me when I bought it
Tracy Wood: An excellent place to get all your questions answered! I recently purchased a Roland keyboard for our church, and I am most pleased with the quality and sound of the instrument. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for any kind of piano or keyboard.
Hannah Monsma: I called Keyboard World to ask some questions about an electric keyboard I was interest in. They did not have the model I was calling about but Greg was so super helpful and kind. He shred his knowledge about different brands and was very nice about it! I called another place in Grand Rapids and they were rather short and frustrated as to why I would call. So Thank You Keyboard world!! I appreciate your zeal for your trade and I thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Tom Johnson: Great store. One of the few places left to go see and try what you want in pianos or keyboards. Salesman Greg is very good.
Cameron Scott: Amazing experience. So many choices. Excellent information. Competitive prices.
Jason Ostrander: Great place! Great people!
Thu Giang Duong: The staff is very polite and take care of all my question

Herrema & Sons Piano Co.: what do users think?
Lavender Blue: 5 🤩 2 years ago, I bought my piano and it has brought me joy everyday. Herrema provided excellent quality, service, and delivery. I am very happy and highly recommend them.
J Morgan: Knowledgeable and friendly owner. Hiighly recommend.
Joe Horness: These guys were fantastic! They had the unique ramps and tools, and the innovation and skills, they needed to get our baby grand into our new home. Other movers would have been totally lost without the tools and options they had with them. They were joyful, creative and oh so careful. And they were less than half the price of other movers. They saved us hundreds and they were the best!
Kate Kanaley-Miller: I would recommend Herrema and Sons Piano Movers to all and everyone. They were SO HELPFUL and COURTEOUS!!!We were a bit gun shy about movers having had a horrifying experience with a so-called ‘great price’ mover when we moved from Illinois to Michigan. Felt like we were in the middle of an extortion deal AND a lot of our stuff got broken AND they wanted more money at the start and then again at the finish. Mean and insulting person in charge. So, when we were looking to move the piano I was cautious!!! Couldn’t have been happier with the Herrema and Sons Company’s response to my questions, the move, and the movers. Thanks, Kate
John Pobanz: It was a great experience, working with Herrema & Sons Piano Co. They made moving our grand piano look easy! We traded for a Casio Celviano AP-710 Digital Piano, and are so pleased. It's really an exceptional instrument. Kids so enjoyed Ronnie's piano playing, as he showed us around our new piano. Highly Recommend!
Ryan Siegert: We had a great experience with Herrema. They were on time, great educators about how they were going to carefully take care of our piano and performed the job with ease.
Judy Rogers: Great service & quality work!!
Dan Rogers: Owner is a very informative and understanding, he helped my wife thru a bad experience on facebook marketplace, and gave use a very good deal on a piano. Highly recommend this business!
Aundrea Smith: Absolutely fantastic movers. I was given my Grandmother’s upright piano and needed it moved downstairs. Booking them was very easy, they took less than 15 minutes to move the piano from our garage to our downstairs walkout. They were so careful and took great care of the piano. Amazing team, so happy I entrusted them to move my Grandmother’s piano. I highly recommend.
Joanne Redmond: We are new to the area and purchased a pre-owned baby grand piano from Herrema & Sons for our teenage daughter. Our experience at the store far exceeded our every expectation. Ronnie was not only knowledgeable, his passion for music and innate sense in understanding our daughter's musical gifts and talents lead us to a beautiful baby grand piano as well as a keyboard well-suited for her compositions. The baby grand was seamlessly delivered in 48 hours. A white-glove experience all-around. Cannot recommend Herrema & Sons highly enough!
Rob Campbell: I'm not sure why anyone would look for a piano anywhere else. Amazing service, Ronnie is extremely helpful and made sure that I got exactly the piano I wanted. He even had some awesome tips for how to do some small customizations that I never realized I could do on my own. I would highly, highly recommend looking here before looking anywhere else.
Professor Doonan: Excellent service. Very professional. If you need a piano moved trust the experts.
Rich Mason: Ronnie moved our Yamaha piano and took really good care of it. They are reasonably priced, polite, and professional. Alex tunes our piano 2 weeks later and it sounds amazing! We are very pleased with Herrema & Sons and would definitely recommend them.
Taylor Rose: We hired Herrema & Sons Piano Co to move our vertical Steinway & Sons back in July 2020. It wasn't a far move (Allendale to Jenison), but they were amazing! They secured and protected the piano during transit and handled the piano with great care in and out of the homes. I HIGHLY recommend using Herrema & Sons Piano Co. for any piano moving needs! Job well done!!
beth tippet: great local small business owner who is knowledgeable about his inventory and wants his customer to find the right piano for their needs.
Kimberly Bocchiaro: I highly recommend these guys for all of your piano needs! Responsive, knowledgeable, and kind! Helped to make a Christmas piano surprise simple and hassle free!
Matt Hoffer: Herrema did a wonderful job moving our baby grand. They were prompt, quick, and a pleasure to work with.
Roger Bleiler: We purchased a pre-owned Kawai grand piano from Herrema & Sons Piano in Jenison, and had it restored in a beautiful satin black (from a scuffed walnut finish). Ronnie and Anna took the time to answer our many questions in selecting the right piano, offered at an affordable price, monitored the brilliant restoration, stored it In their warehouse while our home construction was delayed, and delivered it this week—without a scratch. LuAnne and I couldn’t be happier! Their attention to detail and five-star service is beyond words...
Roetorooter: Was given a piano and contacted Herrema. They were able to deliver it the next day and made the entire process incredibly easy and a lot cheaper than their competition!I will choose them for any of my future piano needs. Thank you Ronnie!
Sandra Hilliard (Sandy): Herrema & Sons helped make a bucket list goal of mine happen!!! A long time dream was to own a black lacquer grand piano. They had just the piano I was hoping for, delivered and set it up AND removed the piano that I currently owned. AND, the purchase included my first tuning! Highly recommend to anyone searching for a piano!
Art Schmehling: Herrema & Sons piano movers were a great find to move our grand piano from our current home to our new one. They were very professional and efficient with the move. Communicating and making arrangements with them was very easy being handled efficiently over the phone. They understood and knew exactly what was entailed and needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needed help with a piano.

Ellie VanKeulen: Tony is highly professional and very talented at what he does! That is very evident! I highly recommend him!
K Singer: Tony was very professional. I scheduled an appointment online through email, which was super easy to do, and read that Tony has autism and prefers to communicate through written communication rather than phone calls. Honestly, that’s almost better in a way, because you have a record of everything that way. I scheduled a tuning and cleaning on a old piano that I recently inherited. The cost was probably going to be a few hundred dollars. Tony showed up on time and was conscientious of protecting my floors with his equipment. After Tony began working on the piano, he explained that there was a lot of damage and he would not be able to tune the piano at this time. He explained a few of the issues and said he would follow up with an email thoroughly explaining all the issues and giving me a price for the repairs. Tony only charged me $50 for the service call, and not the full cost of what I booked. Tony emailed me later that day with a full itemized email explaining all the repairs needed and if he recommended getting the repairs done based on the cost versus the value of the piano. His honestly and efficiency was in awesome. I would definitely recommend Tony to service any piano needing work.
Elmer Oberhofer: I have a rare Butterfly Grand Piano which I treasure. It is 82 years old and I am only the 2nd owner. Tony treats my piano the way I would want him to do it. He very quietly tunes and sometimes does repairs and I enjoy his annual visit.

Purposeful Piano Lessons: what do users think?
Michelle Zwyghuizen: I've had multiple children doing lessons with Esther for several years and we love it! Esther spends a great amount of time teaching the kids musical theory so that they have a strong foundation. Her lessons are so much more than hitting the right key on the piano and my girls have had a great head start in school music programs that they participate in. Esther brings her family community together frequently with group classes and events - you get so much more than a 1x1 piano lesson with her program. She's a great mix of being serious about learning and also having fun. Can't recommend her enough!
Kelly Groves: Esther is a wonderful teacher! She goes out of her way for her students and does extra events for the kids and their families.
Christyn Gaston: We couldn’t be more pleased with our daughter’s piano experience! Esther teaches thoroughly, pleasantly, and patiently. We have several children and have had in total 10 other teachers for various instruments. Esther comes with my highest recommendation of them all!
Amy Sequeira: Esther has been teaching my son for almost two years. She is patient, fun, effective, and encouraging. You won't be disappointed!
Leigh Emery: Two of my children, ages 10 and 8, take lessons here. One has been playing for four years, and the other for two. Esther is a great teacher- she provides clear instruction and expectations while remaining laid back and providing encouragement and guidance to meet them where they are at.All three of my kids have have learned an instrument with the Suzuki method (the third plays violin) and we have absolutely loved the approach! They are able to begin playing music before mastering all of the note-reading and theory, they develop an "ear" for music by learning their pieces just by hearing the song played by professionals (by book 2 they are also note-reading,) and the parents are very involved in every aspect of the process.Purposeful Piano has helped my children to gain an appreciation for music, a love for the piano, and challenges them daily to develop self-control of their minds and bodies.
Heather Ingraffia: My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Esther for about 6 years! We really like the Suzuki method of learning music by ear. estherbis very patient and creative when it comes to practicing challenging passages. The bi-monthly piano groups are also a great way to interact with other children and grow in piano theory.
