Poke Poke - Sushi Unrolled: what do users think?
Bridge Z: Loved everything about this poke place except the yellowfin tuna was very fishy tasting like it had been sitting out too long or very old. You could smell the Tuna from many feet away. Would not recommend the Tuna but everything else was delicious!!Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Poke, Edamame …More
Sarah: Haven't tried the poke bowls, but the boba is delicious!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Chloe Christina: Food is never fresh, breaks so many health code violations, and treats staff like garbage. Don't know how it's still running as a store.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
JC Olson: Food was great, nice choices and the dinning area was clean. They have make your own bowl or signature bowls. Boba tea and mochi ice cream. Miso soup and a rewards program. Catering available. This is a chain that has many other locations around Michigan and 2 in Florida. Only thing I have to say “bad” is my server was at a 1/100 for enthusiasm or just happiness, it really seemed like she would rather be doing something else or not there, she was not helpful and was very short with her answers, even though it was just myself and wife in the building.
Natalie Tan: Decent enough.Recommended dishes Large Bowl, Avocado, Poke, Edamame …More
Lilly Baker: The food is good, I've only done takeout. It may be a little overpriced but it was good food. They have a lot of poke options and it's nice to be able to customize your bowl to exactly what you want.
Leah Mangan: I used to like Poke Poke. Disappointed at the price of $13 for a bowl that you don't even get that much in. They used to give you a fair amount of rice, but it seems like they've stopped doing that. Food, especially the tuna doesn't taste as good anymore. At first I thought it tasted okay but by the time I was almost done it started to taste like it was bad. I also do not like how it's hard to hear the staff and they can't hear you there. This place is just not comfortable, will not be returning.
Shelby Baker: I was pretty disappointed with my experience here yesterday. The sushi meat did not appear to be as fresh as I would have liked in addition to my avocado being brown. Also I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by coming in to place and order. I’ve had much better experiences at Poke Toki Cascade, as others have mentioned.
Nick Verburg (Tejas Ananta): I'm actually a doordash driver in the city of Grand rapids I've been doing this for 6 years. Uber driver I actually picked up one of the co-owners of this restaurant several times. It might have been a different location by think it was this one too.I walked in there today to deliver an order for them and I asked if I could quickly use the bathroom I just need to use it real quick. They told me that the bathroom is only for customers and that I had to buy something in order to use. I'm pretty sure that most places locked up bathroom to keep the riffraff out. But I'm not riffraff I'm definitely working with them they're selling food because I'd pick up their orders. no other restaurants in Grand rapids have ever done that to me. I will not be picking up any other orders from this location. If they don't respect us and see us like every other restaurant in Grand rapids as a team partner I don't care. And this was the manager that told me this.
1Wiuk: The fish was really dry and the fruit and vegetables (except for the cucumber) tasted very spoiled. The pineapple straight up tasted like it had started to ferment.
Kaan Gill: I love Poke but this place just isn’t it. First time I wasn’t even able to walk out with my food when my total came to $55.xx I forgot my wallet and only had a hundred dollar bill. They wouldn’t accept it. Oh well, I guess I’ll try this place another time. When I was finally able to try the poke I could tell right away the ingredients did not seem fresh. The portions were small and overpriced and the unfriendliness of the staff was enough to make me never go back.
Söl: Fantastic boba tea!!
John Green: The place was dirty and the food wasn't good.
Randal Cole: Got turned down service because I came in with one other friend. They insisted they only service one person at a time and would not service us because we're a group of 2. Utterly astonishing lack of service.
Nicole Larson: Was just refused service because she can’t serve groups…..there were 2 of us!Absolutely terrible customer service.Parking: Awful parking
Amberly Marckini: Use to be super good and I thought the price was worth it before, but since the portions are getting smaller over time and recently almost every order is terribly wrong or missing things such as all sauces I'm sad to say I can no longer spend my money here. I'll give it a shot in a few months with hopes they listen to their customers and make some improvements. Tonight's meal was 2 regular Bowls (not large) for over $40 with no sauce (because it's missing) and missing ingredients. Horrible.
Pearl marie: I would give them zero stars if I could. Just had an all-around terrible experience will never go there again.
Brianna Simonson: I went here to pick up a door dash order and I asked to use the bathroom and they said I have to buy something lol…. Ok.
Randy Brokaw: Kicked out in the cold due to “large party” exceedence (family of 5). We were the only customers in the store.Around 11am on 3/9, we wanted to have a little snack before the children’s museum across the street opened. Never had a chance to try the food. We were informed only 2 people were working today and their staff levels today didn’t allow for “large parties”. Apparently, one family of 5 were too much for them to handle this cold day in early March. We notified the terrified young lady behind the counter that the kids were going to just play at the table with their toys (Polly pockets) while the adults eat. She then informed us that the kids aren’t allowed to play in the store. Confused, we told her the kids were going to play at our table with their toys. She, again, said she couldn’t handle large parties. Godsmacked with the “large party” limitation at this store, we informed the no longer terrified and now rude young girl behind the counter of our intention to hang out for a moment while we Google an alternative. She boldly told us that we can’t hang out because she can’t handle large parties. This sunny day in Grand Rapids was 39° and would have appreciated a little time inside a warm place to figure out another place. She said we only have a few minutes and can’t hang out. This has been the strangest interaction I’ve had in a business. I understand the lack of staffing at restaurants have made it difficult to serve customers properly, but the lack of empathy and patience for us to find a suitable alternative for our family is unacceptable. The customer HAS to abide by OUR, the vendor, rules and you must take your family outside in the cold immediately.
Britteny Kilbourn: My coworkers and I placed an order for 10 people for work the day before. The order was confirmed and scheduled no problem. Got no correspondence, again, the day before, it would be an issue. When I got there to pick it up I got a huge amount of sass from the worker stating “we really put them behind” and “next time we need to go through catering” as there was only one other customer in there and as if we weren’t paying customers as well. So while the food was good the portions were kind of small for the high price and the larger tip was clearly not appreciated.
Caroline Jansen: Idk it was fast and the workers were nice. The rice was pretty overcookedFood: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Edamame, Watermelon Radish …More

Katie J: Delicious food, generous portions, and friendly staff. They were very great about making sure everything in my bowl was gluten free. Best poke in town!Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free labeling and the staff took my gluten allergy seriously. Really appreciate that!
Yamin Cornell: Super duper delicious and healthy poke bowls, my first time having a poke bowl was here, and i was completely blown away by it, the fish is fresh and the flavor is so good, some may think it’s too expensive because you can get much cheaper food somewhere else but for the taste and health standpoint, it is worth the price.Recommended dishes Build Your Own Poke Bowl …More
Maggie Felix: Too expensive for a vegan bowl. Almost 20 dollars.
narniadreamer: I have tried a lot of poke places in town, and this is by far the best! They have a huge variety of toppings compared to other places, and everything is so fresh and delicious!
ruida M: Awesome. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Adam Stowie: Bottom line: pretty much as advertised, relatively fresh, on- the-go takes on Japanese/Korean food. Think it's priced in too high though, so value-wise it's a bit lacking.Pros: nice, relatively fresh ingredients combined to create sushi/Korean/Japanese food you can consume easily and on the go. High ratings for convenience and quality.Cons: this is, by design, a fast meal experience. That means there isn't any dining/hospitality experience to go along with it, and consequently the price point doesn't seem justified.
Susan E: Good food!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Build Your Own Poke Bowl …More
Jacob Mol: It's been 2 years since my initial posting, and this place is STILL the best in Grand Rapids. If you haven't visited yet, do it.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Viktorija Tomas: Great food! Very delicious and super fresh! Cozy and clean! Highly recommend!
Liz: Great, fresh food every time!
Laurie Pullen-Johnson: Staff members are aware of allergens! The seaweed salad, which came from a different supplier than usual, contained wheat. The person creating the bowl was able to prevent a gluten exposure to someone who has Celiac. Most people take the delicious bowls to go because seating is limited. There are so many combinations of different options, you could eat there for weeks and enjoy totally different flavors and foods.
BRIAN Upham: My favorite poke bowl place. Lots of options, friendly staff, if you want the flying fish roe you have to special request them they are available but under the counter and not on the menu board. Very healthy and flavorful. We go back often.
Maddie Archer: The best Poke place in the GR area, and luckily there are 2 locations! The toppings and protein options at Poke Toki are so yummy and you can make your own bowl however you want! Also, the staff is always very nice and helpful with any questions you have if you aren’t familiar with Poke.

Alfons Müller: Ginza: A Delightful Sushi Experience with Exceptional Service!Recently, we had the pleasure of dining at Ginza, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Although the restaurant's furnishings are functional, what truly set our evening apart was the amazing service provided by River. Their attentiveness and genuine care elevated our dining experience to new heights. We started with appetizers, and the Boom Boom Shrimps were delightful. However, it was the Shumai that truly surprised and delighted our taste buds. These Japanese steamed dumplings were delicately seasoned and packed with amazing flavors—a true culinary treat. For our main course, we ordered three rolls, each beautifully arranged and incredibly appetizing. However, the Naruto Roll took the spotlight. With a refreshing cucumber wrap, a medley of different fish, and the absence of rice, it offered a unique and innovative interpretation of sushi that surpassed our expectations. It was a new and exciting experience, expanding our perception of what sushi can be.The overall experience at Ginza was nothing short of awesome. From the exceptional service to the delectable dishes, we were thoroughly impressed. It's safe to say that we will be returning to Ginza as soon as we crave good sushi in Grand Rapids again.#GinzaSushi #ExceptionalService #CulinaryDelight

shay straayer: Super friendly staff. Really tasty sushi!
Ian Varquez: To be honest I was not too impressed by the Sashimi I ordered. I got the Sushi Deluxe and the fish just did not look or taste fresh in my opinion. At best it was passable.
Warren Pattison: Great sushi. Everything we ordered was great! I highly recommendRecommended dishes Soup, Roll, Sushi …More
ÁC Viviana: Food and service was gr8, can't say so much for the price of 80 bucks for 3 meals tho! I think they gone up wayyyy too high, it's worth it tho-but now.... Idk, for that price I can go to Hunan for the same at half the price. However, one meal is a serving size well enough to feed two adults or possibly four children, possibly 3. You do get your money's worth it's just their prices have gone up dramatically!Kid-friendliness: Not really.Parking: Get in where u fit in, at downtown grand rapids, right by the cop shop

Toon Win: Octopus sashimi were 2 very thick cuts that should have been sliced much thinner.Steak hibachi was very tough even though I ordered medium rare. The rice was hard and bland so I put their yum yum sauce on it, which was very sour. The ginger salad that came with the hibachi had very little flavor.Egg drop and miso soup were normal. The beef in the yaki udon felt like they put a lot of corn starch on it but tasted fine.We ordered 4 sushi rolls (surf and turf, Grand Rapids, crazy boy, and MI). The rolls all fell apart really easily and were not tightly wrapped. Flavor wise, none of them really stood out. There are lots of better sushi options in GR - even along Monroe Center. I would probably avoid this one.

Hassan Saleh: Will preface and say didn’t get any raw sushi so I can’t comment on that, did get three vegetarian rolls and shrimp tempura roll and they were nice but the rice wasn’t sticky enough and all the rolls would fall apart as you pick them up. Again didn’t try any raw fish rolls so I can’t comment on those.
Naomi Kozminski: Service was great, they had gluten-free soy sauce which was awesome, sushi rolls were very good and presented very nicely, miso soup was so-so.Vegetarian options: They had a whole section of veggie sushi rolls.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free soy sauce available on request, and the waitress was happy to check what soups were GF for me. No indications anywhere on the menu, though.
Kayla Benda: This place is amazing. The best Chinese food we have found in the area. Insanely large portions and just so good.
Rooshana Purnyn: Food and tea was really tasty. Presentation was amazing too.
Paul Dillinger: We had a great first meal here. Everything tested fresh. Prices were typical for the area. Our server was very friendly. Overall I was quite happy with the sushi here.
lia cadorniga: so good. amazing. and super low prices. i got the shumai and i was so happy to eat it that I forgot to take a picture.

Walter Gutowski: Daren is the man. Food is always on pointFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ryan s: Sushi was good, although I've had much less expensive sushi that was just as good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Todd OHearn: Great first experience!
Sarah Bly: Food is decent. Buuuut the 12 staff just talking loudly at the hostess stand and at the door to the kitchen has been so so unpleasant. Yes, we’re here early and there’s not many people here..Buut for goodness sake.. RESPECT!!! I did feel like we interrupted the pre shift meeting. Let the people eat. 😑
Scott Smith: Darren is the best bartender I have ever experienced on the west side.
Terry Dodds: I come here quite often. The food is always great. Every server that I have had has been wonderful.Kid-friendliness: I have two boys that I bring quite often.
CASEY: Milena was so sweet, the best server! The Cosmo roll and spicy tofu appetizer are 10/10! :)
Andrea Blandford: Food and service is always excellent
Scott Suchecki: Delicious Sushi, took 45 min to come out, we got there before the rush.Water and cocktails sat empty for probably 10 minutes before the server checked in.Other hosts dragged the chairs of the tables they were setting making loud awful noises, when they could have tried to lift and slide them.
Damian Huber: Love this place. If you don't like sushi then you are a lot like me. They have other options and the food is freaking phenomenal. I highly recommend.Parking: It's downtown Grand rapids so if you have been down there before you know it's not easy to find a place to park.
Jennifer Sutherby: Great food, good service. Took a bit longer than I anticipated, hence the 4 stars. Clean and nice atmosphere.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sushi Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Paid street parking …More
Jentry Patulski: Very beautiful place, and the service was adequate. The food, although was overpriced for what you got. We got a few sushi options, a ramen and some appetizers. The sushi kept falling apart, making it hard to pick up, but the flavor was good. Our Ramen pork belly was dry and hard. We paid 8 dollars for a 6oz lemonade with no refills, which we felt was a huge disappointment. Overall, I wouldn't go back. There are lots of beautiful spots with great food and at cheaper prices.
Nate Bailey: Had a really nice atmosphere, the cocktails were very enjoyable and we had a great server. I would have loved to come back here in the future.Unfortunately, nothing on the menu is labeled as gluten free, usually not a big issue with sushi as many items can easily be made gluten free. This was not the case here. The waiter (who did a wonderful job) made me feel as if the modifications we made to our selections wouldn’t be an issue (to be made gluten free). After watching many of the tables around us be seated and then served before us it was clear that wasn’t really the case. When we did finally get our food one of the options wasn’t brought out and we were told we weren’t able to get it because they were out of rice….?! Fortunately we ordered more than we needed and we didn’t go hungry. To be fair, all of the food we got was excellent. Just can not recommend this place to the gluten sensitive.
Paul Marsman: Food is 5 stars, however the time to get it was too long. My wife and I went there for lunch today. We ordered with the dining room half full at best, didn’t get our lunch special rolls at the table for an hour. Even table next to us was complaining that they had been there for an hour with no food. Server stopped and said they were cutting the sushi, took another 15 minutes to get our total of 4 rolls. COMPLETELY unacceptable for a lunch special place that was NOT super busy to take so long. The server did take $10 off without us asking, but still paid $50 after tip. Go here if you aren’t in a hurry and want great sushi, otherwise shrug
Emma Cavitt: As much as I love sushi I can’t stop coming back every time Darren is working. His work ethic his out of this park and did I mention he is drop dead gorgeous?! 10/10 for the food 11/10 for the staff. Keep doing your thing Boo!
Rabbi Porkchop: Decent sushi nothing special.Vegetarian options: Not bad, at least they have some.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Sushi, Edamame …More
Nate: Waited about an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Server checked on us once after we ordered food about an hour into the wait, and we had to ask the status. I can understand a bit longer wait since it was a Saturday night on a very busy holiday weekend, but no one should ever have to wait that long for food at a restaurant. If the kitchen is so backed up you are unable get food out in a reasonable time, you should not be seating that many tables. My wife and I were just in town for a weekend getaway with no plans but felt bad for others around us waiting who had a concert to get to. Aside from the service issues, the food was good, not great. Nothing to write home about for the price.
Jennie Lefler: I went there to get a “to-go” order and it took an hour and fifteen minutes for me to receive my order 😳 Obviously they were pretty busy and the kitchen seemed to be backed up. It would have been nice for them to tell me the wait was going to be over an hour before letting me place and pay for my order. I would have much rather went somewhere else as I was already really hungry before arriving. That being said, when I did get my order it was delicious…but it was a bit pricey.
Jon Busch: Went for my nieces 21st birthday!!! Hands down the best service ever. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff stayed 40 minutes past closing time so that we could celebrate this special day. Thank you for an amazing night.
