Sapporo Ramen & Noodle Bar: what do users think?
Nat Shannon-Hutchison: I was so very disappointed 😔 I ordered yaki udon but had to give up after a few bites. The sauce on the udon noodles tasted strangely sweet like cinnamon and the stir-fried chicken that was supposed to come with the order was deep fried, over-cooked, dry and flavorless 🙁. The “mixed vegetables” described in the menu consisted only of iceberg lettuce and sparse carrot slivers 😒. Even though the noodles tasted inedible with the sauce, one positive I can say is that they were cooked well.
Andrew Schaner: Favorite place for noodles!
Bill Murray: The food is fantastic! Service fantastic! Everything is fantastic. Solid 5/5 and if you follow me you know this is a rare rating.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sameh Dwaikat: Excellent Udon, well seasoned dashi. Takoyaki was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Never disappointed here.
Sam Krygsheld: Fantastic food. I recommend the Ugly Pop - rice bowl with fried chicken, pot stickers, and spicy mayo. Every ramen dish I've had has been good too.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ryan Ott: Soooo freakin' yummy! The fried chicken in the Ugly Pop is amazing and I it add to everything I order. The vibe is cool, too. Lots of Nintendo and anime playing on the TVs for entertainment.
Theo Sinclair: Found this place on maps. I was looking to get some tonkatsu. I ordered the Orochon “Brave” (I love spicy). It did not disappoint at all and the chef even did a special half sautéed half fried chicken. Also I got an ugly pop bowl for the road. Everything was delicious. On top of great food Zach who took my order was very informed on the menu and had some great recommendations. Will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Grand Rapids. Also for my truckers there’s parking within walking distance.

Lilly Baker: I love this place! It is a little out of the way from where I live, but I consistently drive out there for this ramen. The Orochon miso ramen has a great level of spice. I have not found another restaurant in the area with so many great ramen options. I would recommend dining in over take out. I have done both, with take out they separate the noodles from the broth and I just personally think it's better all together right away. Love it!
Marcelo Aleman: No bueno! We asked for recommendations and what they recommend was salty and noodles were uncooked. Never again going to try this place.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Patricia Ward Sauer: The crew at Sapporo's is top notch!!! BIG MIKE !!! AND LETS NOT FORGET SUZY! I AM SO GLAD I MET HER. SHE IS THE BEST!! SHE IS THE REASON I GO THERE!! HER SMILE IS SO CONTAGIOUS :)

Mateo Gebon: I’ve visited Sapporo several times since there aren’t many options for ramen in GR, but it’s been tasty each time. Admittedly, I’ve had better ramen, but the noodles here still hit the spot. I had the butter corn shoyu ramen this last time, along with an order of the takoyaki. Both were excellent. The broth was rich and was complimented by the spring onions, menma, egg, corn and butter. The noodles were slightly chewy (in a good way), and it was very satisfying. The takoyaki was packed with umami and was very rich. Sapporo is a very welcome addition to Grand Rapids’ restaurants.

Paike: Food was all right. The staff was friendly but a little off. However, we aren't here to judge. There was anime playing on one TV and Call Of Duty gameplay on another. G PV: First time we been to this place and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and helpful because the menu is a little confusing. The food was delicious 🤤 It’s a great place if you’re in the mood for a nice big bowl of ramen 🍜 we went on a cold day so it hit the spot.
Walt Lodes III: One of the only purely Japanese only places in Grand Rapids. Everything else is just a fusion it seems like, or just sushi. No sushi here! The ramen is AMAZING!!! Everything I've had here was very good! They even have takiyaki!!! And Japanese style curry!! So good! Really enjoy this place! I keep bringing new people here to experience it! 10 out of 10!!!
Barbara Gaines: Absolutely L.O.V.E the food here!

Alfons Müller: Ginza: A Delightful Sushi Experience with Exceptional Service!Recently, we had the pleasure of dining at Ginza, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Although the restaurant's furnishings are functional, what truly set our evening apart was the amazing service provided by River. Their attentiveness and genuine care elevated our dining experience to new heights. We started with appetizers, and the Boom Boom Shrimps were delightful. However, it was the Shumai that truly surprised and delighted our taste buds. These Japanese steamed dumplings were delicately seasoned and packed with amazing flavors—a true culinary treat. For our main course, we ordered three rolls, each beautifully arranged and incredibly appetizing. However, the Naruto Roll took the spotlight. With a refreshing cucumber wrap, a medley of different fish, and the absence of rice, it offered a unique and innovative interpretation of sushi that surpassed our expectations. It was a new and exciting experience, expanding our perception of what sushi can be.The overall experience at Ginza was nothing short of awesome. From the exceptional service to the delectable dishes, we were thoroughly impressed. It's safe to say that we will be returning to Ginza as soon as we crave good sushi in Grand Rapids again.#GinzaSushi #ExceptionalService #CulinaryDelight

ATO SUSHI Korean & Japanese Cuisine: what do users think?
Ash Maul: I've eaten here several times and never had an issue because I haven't ordered the tuna. I just ordered their Chirashi and it was the weakest serving of fish I've ever seen in a chirashi bowl, but my problem was really with the tuna. The tuna was filled with red food coloring, and I thought the color was a little vibrant but didn't think anything of it until I lifted it off the rice and saw the huge red stain it left below it. The sushi cuts are half what most restaraunts give and the price is the same as others charge, and beyond that they're now serving questionable dyed tuna.

Emily Gudzinski: My favorite sushi place in GR - I always get their bento dinners, but have tried their noodle bowls, spring rolls, and sushi as well. Everything is always great, made fresh, and super delicious. If you're looking for a good sushi joint in the city, definitely give this a try! The workers here are also super welcoming and kind - they'll make you want to come back!
Lilly Baker: This is my favorite place to get sushi downtown. I like to go for lunch because they have some good lunch specials. I've had several rolls and their ramen. I have had better ramen, but it wasn't bad. I prefer the spicy roll combo at lunch, which also come with miso soup if you dine in. It is pretty small so not great for a large group, but for a couple people it's great. They are always very fast and very friendly staff.

Maru Sushi Bridge Street: what do users think?
Matthew Niedner: Great ambiance, great service, excellent sushi, and the food is plated beautifully!
Josiah Schrotenboer: I love that they finally renamed this place from Ando to show the same ownership and consistency from the other Maru that I've loved for years. This place is a great place to grab some yummy sushi!

Todd OHearn: Great first experience!
Sarah Bly: Food is decent. Buuuut the 12 staff just talking loudly at the hostess stand and at the door to the kitchen has been so so unpleasant. Yes, we’re here early and there’s not many people here..Buut for goodness sake.. RESPECT!!! I did feel like we interrupted the pre shift meeting. Let the people eat. 😑
Scott Smith: Darren is the best bartender I have ever experienced on the west side.
Terry Dodds: I come here quite often. The food is always great. Every server that I have had has been wonderful.Kid-friendliness: I have two boys that I bring quite often.
CASEY: Milena was so sweet, the best server! The Cosmo roll and spicy tofu appetizer are 10/10! :)
Andrea Blandford: Food and service is always excellent
Scott Suchecki: Delicious Sushi, took 45 min to come out, we got there before the rush.Water and cocktails sat empty for probably 10 minutes before the server checked in.Other hosts dragged the chairs of the tables they were setting making loud awful noises, when they could have tried to lift and slide them.
Damian Huber: Love this place. If you don't like sushi then you are a lot like me. They have other options and the food is freaking phenomenal. I highly recommend.Parking: It's downtown Grand rapids so if you have been down there before you know it's not easy to find a place to park.
Jennifer Sutherby: Great food, good service. Took a bit longer than I anticipated, hence the 4 stars. Clean and nice atmosphere.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sushi Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Paid street parking …More
Jentry Patulski: Very beautiful place, and the service was adequate. The food, although was overpriced for what you got. We got a few sushi options, a ramen and some appetizers. The sushi kept falling apart, making it hard to pick up, but the flavor was good. Our Ramen pork belly was dry and hard. We paid 8 dollars for a 6oz lemonade with no refills, which we felt was a huge disappointment. Overall, I wouldn't go back. There are lots of beautiful spots with great food and at cheaper prices.
Nate Bailey: Had a really nice atmosphere, the cocktails were very enjoyable and we had a great server. I would have loved to come back here in the future.Unfortunately, nothing on the menu is labeled as gluten free, usually not a big issue with sushi as many items can easily be made gluten free. This was not the case here. The waiter (who did a wonderful job) made me feel as if the modifications we made to our selections wouldn’t be an issue (to be made gluten free). After watching many of the tables around us be seated and then served before us it was clear that wasn’t really the case. When we did finally get our food one of the options wasn’t brought out and we were told we weren’t able to get it because they were out of rice….?! Fortunately we ordered more than we needed and we didn’t go hungry. To be fair, all of the food we got was excellent. Just can not recommend this place to the gluten sensitive.
Paul Marsman: Food is 5 stars, however the time to get it was too long. My wife and I went there for lunch today. We ordered with the dining room half full at best, didn’t get our lunch special rolls at the table for an hour. Even table next to us was complaining that they had been there for an hour with no food. Server stopped and said they were cutting the sushi, took another 15 minutes to get our total of 4 rolls. COMPLETELY unacceptable for a lunch special place that was NOT super busy to take so long. The server did take $10 off without us asking, but still paid $50 after tip. Go here if you aren’t in a hurry and want great sushi, otherwise shrug
Emma Cavitt: As much as I love sushi I can’t stop coming back every time Darren is working. His work ethic his out of this park and did I mention he is drop dead gorgeous?! 10/10 for the food 11/10 for the staff. Keep doing your thing Boo!
Rabbi Porkchop: Decent sushi nothing special.Vegetarian options: Not bad, at least they have some.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Edamame, Sushi …More
Nate: Waited about an hour and 15 minutes for our food. Server checked on us once after we ordered food about an hour into the wait, and we had to ask the status. I can understand a bit longer wait since it was a Saturday night on a very busy holiday weekend, but no one should ever have to wait that long for food at a restaurant. If the kitchen is so backed up you are unable get food out in a reasonable time, you should not be seating that many tables. My wife and I were just in town for a weekend getaway with no plans but felt bad for others around us waiting who had a concert to get to. Aside from the service issues, the food was good, not great. Nothing to write home about for the price.
Jennie Lefler: I went there to get a “to-go” order and it took an hour and fifteen minutes for me to receive my order 😳 Obviously they were pretty busy and the kitchen seemed to be backed up. It would have been nice for them to tell me the wait was going to be over an hour before letting me place and pay for my order. I would have much rather went somewhere else as I was already really hungry before arriving. That being said, when I did get my order it was delicious…but it was a bit pricey.
Jon Busch: Went for my nieces 21st birthday!!! Hands down the best service ever. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff stayed 40 minutes past closing time so that we could celebrate this special day. Thank you for an amazing night.

You get a TON of food, a deliciously simple avocado roll (this varies daily I think), vegetable and shrimp tempura, rice, miso soup, the chicken teriyaki itself (which tasted INCREDIBLE, I was so sad when it was gone!), along with Ponzu and Soy sauce. Rose Black: Ordered online and did curbside pickup. Order was prepared as requested and ready as promised.Vegetarian options: They offer protein alternatives like tofu and mushrooms and they have Veggie-based noodles like zucchini noodles.Kid-friendliness: Get offer kid-size portions and gave great Mac N Cheese (always a kid favorite).Wheelchair accessibility: Two locations to exit parking lot to building that are wheel-chair friendly.Dietary restrictions: Will prepare food in separate area, use separate utensils and pans.
Jonathan DeVowe: This was one of my favorite places for fast, quality food but had been declining for a few years. Portion sizes are much smaller, food doesn't seem to be made to order anymore, and preparation isn't the greatest. Sometimes burnt, usually looks thrown together instead of plated like it used to be.The service was the highlight of my recent visit with a friendly employee taking my order, adjusting a menu item for a special request by my young daughter without hesitation, and people in the back seemed to be in a good mood and happy. This place is just ok now and not high on my list to revisit.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian items clearly marked on menu, several options can be made vegan. Seasoned tofu and recent addition of Impossible panko chicken as a protein choices.Kid-friendliness: Employee modified a kids entree without hesitation to suit my daughter going through a picky phase.

Aubree Mosby: Ordered curbside pickup, food was ready around 7:10ish. Drove across town to pick up , arrived around 8. Pulled up to the curbside spot and indicated I had arrived. Sat for some time, all the while watching through the window staff just hanging around, knowing full well there’s a car parked in the pickup spot. Finally had to get out and go in. Asked about my curbside pickup order, the guy picks one of the 2 bags up that was sitting right on top of the counter and hands it to me….Not pleased at all with the poor customer service. Will not be back.
Sheri Pineault: The staff here is always so friendly and efficient. However, the food has slowly declined over the years. I ordered the penne Rosa, the same meal I’ve been getting for 10+ years. The sauce was basically non-existent and extremely watery. I got the Parmesan crusted chicken as well, which was good…this time. I paid over $15 for basically a bowl full of bland noodles. Very disappointing.
Gene BERZLEY: Discovered this location by accident but heard from friends who have been there that it was good food, have not eaten here.

James Norris: Fantastic service, very friendly. My son tried something new and was not a fan. I ordered something with intent on paying and the manager would not accept it. I had the Japanese Pan Noodles and my son had the Alfredo with chicken for his second dish. Both were great. We will definitely be back.
NapCaptain: The food is delicious and the dining area is very clean and well-kept. Friendly staff and quick kitchen-to-table time. Would definitely recommend coming here and eating or even just getting take out
chris lundquist: Staff and food was great
Dan Stewart: Noodles used to be my go to...but they are really slipping. Staff is very helpful and friendly, but the food is what keeps disappointing me. Mac n cheese was pretty watery, the pad Thai was ok, but made too quickly and not mixed together very well. There's some great alternatives around, and I hope Noodles can get back on their game.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Dominic cannata: Amazing a business can be built out of noodles but the food was very good the service was very good the atmospheres a little bit on the plastic side sort of like a fast-food joint overall I would come back again the food is very goodVegetarian options: Almost the entire menu can be vegetarian p

Rik Bouwmeester: I usually get the chicken noodle soup. I was disappointed it was very brothy and not much in the soup carrots for Harley visible. Used to always be great hopefully it was just a one time thing. We ate in but we ate on takeout dishes and we were not impressed with that either.
