Eric Walters: Really really disappointed. Perhaps the worst Rueben sandwich I’ve ever had. CUBED not shaved corned beef. No sauerkraut, none to very little dressing and maybe cheddar cheese on it! WTH? We ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer and they came out with our meals. Oh and was told when given, we’re out of the cheese dip. WTH? Fish and chips were ok as well as the French fries. My draft beer was refilled in the same old glass not a new cold glass… Totally bummed out.

Sam Johnson: Great food, ignored most of my requests claiming I never asked for them in the first place. Sat for a long long time waiting for a second beer, even longer for the third, which I have come to realize will never materialize. I was finally asked about 20 minutes later. I know running a bar isn't easy, but I went here because it looked dead and assumed service would be better.

John Bozich: We were in town visiting a customer and we stopped for a couple drinks before heading to the airport. Doors were locked and we started walking away. The door popped open and we were greeted by such a welcoming gentleman. We're not open quite yet, but come on in. We had our drinks and the staff was awesome! We will go back again when we are in town!

Cozy hangout spot with darts pool and tabletop shuffleboard, drinks are strong, shelf options (especially Irish whiskeys) are expansive. Beer drinkers, don’t worry — they have Guiness, Harp, Smithwicks, an Irish cider and a few domestics on tap. Good times await!

Kristin: Awkward experience... We were really excited to try this place based on the great reviews. It was a slow Sunday (may 8th) and we sat at the bar. We specifically went for the bloody marys after seeing the pictures in the reviews and they did not disappoint. Loved the bacon garnish! Got the cheese curds which were also amazing. We ordered a burger medium and it took a bit to come out. When it arrived, it was a burnt, charred hockey puck. The bartender wasn't very attentive and it took about ten+ minutes to get her attention to send the burger back. We had to leave so we just decided to skip the long wait for a replacement. The bartender wasn't that friendly to begin with, and got super rude after we told her about the burger. She gave us our bill, with the burger still on it. When I asked her to take it off, we got even more attitude. She really made the experience uncomfortable, I haven't had such bad service in a long time. I really wish we had a better experience, we are often in this area and thought this place could be a nice hang out from our usual spots. For sure not going back to sit at that bartenders bar! She made it an uncomfortable and regrettable experience. Plus, what cook sends a burger out like that?? So bad..

What was brought to our table was a plateful of 1-cm diameter crust balls with no cheese filling, with a small handful of larger curds tossed on top in an attempt to hide. Even some of the large curds had no cheese. (For the best curds in town, go to Forty Pearl!) We couldn’t believe this was even served.My entree was the B&P beef sandwich with French onion soup. The sandwich was adequate, nothing special. The cheese topping on the soup was actually black. Not brown — black. The soup itself tasted like someone dumped an entire cannister of salt into the bowl. I love salt, and I salt my own food liberally, but this was just awful. I took a few bites, washed down with several big chugs of water, and couldn’t stomach any more. My husband tasted the soup and almost couldn’t swallow it.His entree was the Ahi tuna tacos. The tuna slices were sad, thin and flimsy. And SALTY! Even the tuna was salted! This should have been a great menu item, but it, too, was terrible.After spending $80 ($64 bill, $16 tip) we had had no enjoyable food. The place has zero ambiance so it wasn’t even a fun place to just sit and hang out. Brick and Porter doesn’t seem to know what kind of restaurant it wants to be, but we do know one thing — it ain’t good.

Alex Brenner: Great atmosphere if you're looking for a smaller pub catering to a younger crowd. I recall in the past they had a burger deal on Sundays along with a decent bloody Mary bar which was a highlight for a Sunday funday. Not sure if they still do this.
