Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Plainfield: what do users think?
Sue Towery: Excellent teachers! Very understanding about difficult schedules. Very encouraging and lots of fun!
Bill Cleveland: Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Plainfield provides a great opportunity to learn the details of ballroom dancing. We are learning the waltz, foxtrot, salsa, rumba, and several others. Private lessons have been great along with the group lessons and other events.
Ms Whitherspoon: Arthur Murray will get you dancing in a very short time. Arthur Murray will be riding you hard to sign a very expensive contract. The instructors are good. There are more negatives than positives about all these studios..... 45 minute private lessons, actually 40 minutes. Just barely enough time to get warmed up. Last 10 minutes of the lesson the instructor spends looking at the clock. After spending thousands of dollars, if you ask an instructor a question or to show you something, they refuse and state you have to schedule a lesson (AM policy). They can't dance with you outside the classroom (AM policy). They barely speak to you outside the classroom but are your best friends during a class?? Very confusing signals. They are rigidly structured and will only teach in the sequence AM approves. Sounds good right? Wrong! They milk you for every cent. They make you learn dances you could care less about. There are better dance studios in Grand Rapids. The top two being Social Dance Studio in Standale and Movier in Grand Rapids. These are private studios that offer ballroom dancing at a good price. Their instructors are fantastic! They will always drop what they are doing and answer your questions or show you where your feet should go. There is no snooty corporate attitude....just pure energy and fun! You can learn any style at the pace of learning you desire.Bottom line.......Arthur Murray....Two Big thumbs down. Read more reviews online and you'll see the big picture.
Frank McLeod: I Taught at Arthur Murray in Grand Rapids, MI., long before the current staff was most likely born. At that time, to become an instructor was intense, rigorous, and required several hours a day of non-stop dance training. I suspect with the variety of dances now being taught across the state and nation, instructor-training is even more demanding. That’s said, I would recommend Arthur Murray dance training to everyone. I promise that your instructor will dedicate his or her every effort to teach you how to become an accomplished dancer. Dancing has become a national recreation and dance shows of every kind are frequently on TV and in the movies. Dancing is good for one’s health and is excellent for cardiac improvement and is emotionally one of the most satisfying forms of human activities.

Social Dance Studio of Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Renee Farber: It was a great night of dancing. We had a DJ, and played all the music to our dance schedule. Plenty of seating. The dance class prior was great. Awesome dance instructors. Large dance floor. No photos to share..... busy dancing. Everyone was very nice who I danced with. I danced with beginner and advanced dancers. They worked with your ability to dance. I didn't feel not good enough, and met many people. I am addicted. I will attend again.
Mohammed El-mehdi: Very nice place very friendly people's I will 💯 recommend 👌
Daniel: My fiancé and I went for their omg wedding package and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our instructor Michael was fantastic and made us feel comfortable right from the start. I highly recommend going here and we will definitely be going back soon!
Michael Waldron: Detroit urban ballroom dancing
laura kenworthy: Went the first time to urban ballroom dancing. Was not what I would have expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved getting to learn and also watch experienced non professional people (i.e. people who just enjoy dancing) dance and enjoy themselves. I will definitely be going again to try the other dancing nights they have.
Kathren Ayers (Kat): Fun time. Lesson on dancing Bachata and Salsa.
Judy Laitinen: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Matt Terbush: My fiancé and I signed up for their Couples Package in anticipation of our wedding and could not have asked for a better experience! Michael was able to listen to our vision and create a complete dance for us that we were so thrilled with. I'll also mention that due to wedding planning, we had to cancel, reschedule, and attend lessons late at night in which they were completely accommodating.
Donna Cole: Great place to learn to dance. They go out of their way to help you. I just attended their country dance, talk about some great dancers.. they taught 2 couples dances and plenty of line dances. With 2 dance floors there is always a place to do your thing. There just isnt any place where you can go for dinner and dancing that is as good as this. The food was great. Wait staff was very friendly.. I drive 45 miles to dance here and it is well worth every mile.
Lia Linedance: Amazing place to dance. super super good food. Impressed with all the dancers.
Krystle January Wellness: My only regret is that I didn't start going here sooner LOL they are an awesome place to learn Latin dance on Thursdays
Miren Lazzarini: Simply the best dancing experience I've had since I was a child taking my first tap dancing class! 💃Beautiful atmosphere and the kindest & funnest teachers. Many diverse classes levels and times so there's something for evey dance connoisseur!I'll definitely be back! Thanks y'all!!💗💖💓💫🧚‍♀️ 💃🕺👯‍♀️👯‍♂️

My fiance' and I are learning a gorgeous dance for our wedding and couldn't be more excited. We've been to other studios before and you really can't beat the price and the atmosphere of this one!
Dirk Lake: Learned some Waltz moves here and it was a very nice experience. The new facility on 4 mile road is a beautiful upgrade! Great place for receptions and the likes. Trying their catering at an upcoming event.

Kayla Hungerink: Positive:Quality
Lena Sigurdardottir: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueAbsolutely love taking classes at DanceSpire!
Rodney Allen: Positive:Value
Kate Hyman: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDancespire is truly a place for every person, every dancer. No matter where I am in my progress as a dancer, I always leave class feeling inspired and challenged.
Emani Thomas: Positive:QualityI went to the drop in this week and the dance was challenging but it was a lot of fun. The dance Teachers taught us the dance step by step and reminded us we didn’t need to do the dance moves exactly how they did to look good.
Matt Goodyke: Positive:Professionalism,ValueSo much fun!
Shalyn Anderson-Garner: Dancespire’s Drop In Wednesdays are a great way to causally train in different sub genres of hiphop dance, and sometimes they offer contemporary classes too! It’s also a great way to generally socialize and network within the local dance community. This class is not about being the perfect dancer or showing other people up. It’s about having fun, connecting with others through movement, and trying your best. One person’s best may not be the same level as someone else, and what someone takes away from the class may not be what someone else takes away from the class, and that’s okay! Drop In Wednesday is truly a beautiful environment to be in, thanks to the motivation and support the teachers provide. 3
Ashley Jean: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI love the community that has been created here. If you want a place to simply be yourself, express yourself, meet fun new people or even just exercise through dance this is the place for you. Great people and dancers all around!
Mighty Mini: Positive:ProfessionalismI really appreciated my time as a student of Deavondre Jones. Not only did I make tons of progress in my skill. I also improved in life skills, training skills, and class taking skills. I am forever grateful to have been in his class and I hope to work with him again in the future! Thank you Deavondre all of us at DD love you!
Megan Corey: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDanceSpire has given me a place to get quality dance training in Grand Rapids. Something that has never been available before. The value is unmatched and they are to credit for so much of my growth. Nothing like it in Michigan!
Christin Prokopy: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Becky Solis: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat dance teachers and a lot of fun especially drop in Wednesday’s check them out
Michael Nguyen: DanceSpire has done a great job creating community, bringing people together through dance. If you want more dance training or to be part of a dance group, DanceSpire does an amazing job providing these opportunities. After graduating from college, I missed being part of a dance group; I did not know where I could be part of one. Joining the DanceSpire Family changed my life. Without DanceSpire, I wouldn't have been able to improve as a dancer and gain new friends!

Imprint Dance Co.: what do users think?
Katie Harvey: I never once saw the Ms. Jessica get up and dance with the girls. It seems like they just play games while the teacher sits in a corner. I would NOT recommend this place. There are SOOO many dance studios out there. Also, whoever manages the place does not make parent communication a priority. I had messaged about a payment question and never heard back. Later, I called about a problem with masks, I called several times and never heard back. I eventually heard back, several weeks later.***The owner quickly responded to this post stating she had gotten ahold of me. She had gotten ahold of me regarding problems I was having with their autopay system. She did not get ahold of me in regards to the issues I was having with the teacher or masks. These issues were not addressed until I had called and email several times. When I called, I was only ever able to get ahold of the volunteer. Weeks later, the owner emailed me not to resolve any issues or offer any support. This was not just an issue with me, several moms had concerns about this class and have since them dropped out. The class went from about 8 girls to now 2.This company does not respect their parents and their stance on COVID. They say they are protecting the health of their dances, but, put adult sized masks on kids just for the sake of having a mask on. Although, it is a company that teachers dance, exercise and taking care of yourself physically, they do understand the basic concepts of physical health. Asthmatics should NOT have anything else restricting their breathing more than it already is...
Joy Anderson: Our girls have been dancing at Imprint since they opened. I can not express what an impact they have had our shaping these girls into strong confident young women. Imprint has become a home away from home. They have formed the best friendships and have life long mentors in their teachers.
