Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Kris LaPointe: Maggie is the main reason our stay was a nice as it could be considering our circumstances. We had previously stayed at the Hampton Inn and were treated so very unprofessionally for all that they did wrong Maggie made everything that much better for us. She was kind compassionate and caring, just what we needed as our loved one is in the ICU at Butterworth Hospital. This establishment is very luck to have her as a member of their team
Amy Hall: Maggie was great at the front desk! Very helpful and friendly. So nice to see someone happy! Anything we needed she help provide!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Karl Peterman: Stayed here for a few nights while attending a conference at the DeVos Center which is just a very short walk away. The hotel seems recently renovated and is kept clean and tidy. My room was abundantly furnished - I think is the most pieces of furniture I’ve seen - and they were very functional. I think the TV was 55” and could rotate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and exercise room were both in good shape. The restaurant had great food as well. I accepted an offer for breakfast every morning for $5/morning. It was definitely worth it. Great hotel and I’d stay there again.
Timothy Civis: Rooms: Clean and well kept.Walkability: Good location for site seeing
Mark Cliff: No hot water due to electrical issues! Might be a coincidence. Might not.
Jessica Vincent: The staff was amazing, nice and very helpful with any questions. The property inside and out was clean and welcoming. I have zero complaints and will definitely stay here again and will highly recommend Holiday Inn Grand Rapids, MI DowntownRooms: Very clean and invitingNearby activities: Many things to do within walking distanceSafety: Felt very safeWalkability: Very centrally located to many attractions. I stayed at this location to be close to GLC Live at 20 Monroe and it was literally like a 5 min walkFood & drinks: I didn't use the dining service at this location
Erika Ward: The staff at this hotel is on point!!! Our room was awesome.
Cody Larriviere: Friendly staff, nice little gym, and close to everything downtown
Michael Burbank: Very nice hotel in downtown Grand Rapids

Chase Keihn: This was a wonderful place to stay for our day in Grand Rapids! The hotel was very clean, and everyone was incredibly friendly. We had the pleasure of dealing with AJ at check in and she was wonderful! We also appreciated the need for a room key to use the elevator as a safety measure. Will definitely stay here if we visit Grand Rapids again!
Adrian Perez: No room service done on rooms during my 2 day stay. Wasnt pleased with that.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
leia stephan: Great hotel. Only thing to say is the heat is impossible to turn up staying at 69-70 degrees set at 78 degrees. We do love this place though, so for sure will be back!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More

Jeff Johnson: Just a place to stay. No free breakfast and only 1 coffee. Found a used coffee k-cup still in coffee maker.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Brian Zink: Not the best Holiday Inn I ever stayed in. Nothing was as advertised.
Richard Honaker: Stopped to stay on our way home from Leeland. We wanted our 4 year old daughter to do some swimming and play in the kid zone. Not happening, don't believe the advertised pictures. The whole pool area was disgusting. Mold and mildew, water looked terrible, food on the ground. Needless to say we checked right back out.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Lars Degn: It was okayOlder rooms but not bad at allRooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Dena: Were do i start, I was charged twice and never received a refund when I was promised one they made a mistake on there end . Then there was a stink bug in my so they moved me to a room that was not clean at all the floor was sticky the microwave was dirty there were crumbs everywhere this was the most disgusting dirty place I could have stayed in. I took pictures of everything but for some reason I can't post them on here
Nathan Rickman: I booked my family's stay on the main hotel website. I requested a room close to the pool and on the main floor. I wanted to stay for the splash pad for my daughter. Everything seemed fine online when I got my confirmation. On arrival I was charged an addition $100 for a deposit until I check out. When I asked about the extra money the counter clerk said oh, the hotel has the right to add a deposit. I told him that I did not receive any document explaining this online or on the papers I signed at check in. Once I got my room number I noticed it was upstairs I asked about my request, the guy said their are no guarantees with a request. We give you what is available. I got a room upstairs and on the other end of the building.I asked about breakfast and the clerk said we have a restaurant and don't do breakfast where online said different.I am not impressed with the pool area. The paint was falling and chipping off the wall. The pool had sand in it and was not clean. On a positive note the room was nice enough, but not enough positive to bring me back.
Emily Devendorf: The first room we were given had a TV that didn't work. The front desk woman was so kind and moved our room. The second room had a TV that worked BUT:-There was a used bar of soap in the shower-The shower had stuff that looked like old scum or mold in the cracking grout. (I couldn't even get in the shower, I was so grossed out)-The bathroom sink had very strange stains all over it.-The second room had a desk with no chair.-The first room obviously wasn't cleaned bc we found other peoples leftovers in the fridge.-There was a thick coat of dust on the tops of the mirror and picture frame in both rooms.-The second room had a remote control for the TV, but it didn't have a battery cover. On the bright side....-The sheets and comforter were very clean and comfortable.-The design on the room was gorgeous-The staff was very, very kind.I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless it's a last resort. It's so strange bc the hotel looks new and remodeled but once I saw the bathroom it looks like not everything was remodeled.Rooms: Very nice design, but not very clean at all. I think the housekeeping staff needs to be a lot more thorough for the money it costs to stay for even one night.
Andrew Stewart: Rooms: Dirty, broken, and poorly kept. No coffee in room. Coffee in lounge was watery.Nearby activities: Pool was dirty, no pool towels.Food & drinks: What drink?,bad coffee.Noteworthy details: Worst Holliday inn express, I've ever stayed at. I was generous with 2- 3 stars. Last time I'll ever stay their.
Kourtney Bourbina: Kids loved the pool!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Eddie Mcpherson: Great place to enjoy a kids BD because they have like a indoor swimming area that's like a water park it was a really safe and clean for my granndbabies and I don't play when it comes to them because don't want anything to happen to them I like a mother wit cubs when it comes to them love them and the room was super large two story wit loft nice I enjoyed every momentRooms: The room was like a high class studio apartmentNearby activities: Right of 131 you got gas / food/ shoppingSafety: Staff is always present when u need helpFood & drinks: Didn't order food but I would have if I was the one staying in it we was just doing BD party
Joshua Loonsfoot: Don't stay here!! Gross and short staffed. Yet, they still charge you full price as if they'll keep up with necessary accommodations! $200+ for a Saturday night to have a disgusting room. We went home to get blankets and towels just to be satisfied. And it wasnt.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Josh Loonsfoot: THEY PROBABLY HAVE BUGS!!! DON'T STAY HERE!!! Blankets were disgusting and dirty, stains on the walls, blinds were broken, and the floors were dirty. This was just some of the issues. I had to leave back home to get new blankets and towels because they couldn't supply us with anymore towels. They admitted to being short staffed, yet I paid over $200 for one night. And the lady at the front desk said breakfast was free and that was a lie. I wouldn't be surprised if they had BUGS!!!!!!
Ashley Latham: The only thing about this hotel that deserves five stars (and a raise) is the staff...every employee we came across was friendly and helpful. The hotel and pool area are definitely due for an upgrade. But the rooms were clean and the kids did have a blast at the super kids friendly pool and splash pad.Breakfast was not complimentary, it was two free kids meals with purchase of an adult meal. But breakfast was still good and speedy, even with them being short staffed
Kevin Chambers: Room was clean and ready when we got here. The splash pad area is ok but there were 4-5 bandaids on the floor the night we got here and then again they were still there the next morning, so I don’t think the pool area is cleaned everyday. The regular swimming pool was very cold. We were under the impression that there was a complimentary breakfast but there was not. Other than that it was a decent hotel room.
Kurt K: Great place for little kids, loft style room . Location right of the highway so a little highway traffic noise.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly …More

Holiday Inn Grand Rapids - Airport, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Magdalena Mejia Ponce: Very nice room however the customer service needs work. After being told shuttle service was 24 hours were then turned away by driver saying that we weren't signed up and he had no gas to take other people just the flight crew. Then the clerk at the front desk said we'd have to wait an hour before we actually could board the next available shuttle. Bad bad service since when is it a hotel guests problem the hotel can't fuel the van to offer more available rides for everyone.
amoure trewhella: Very nice but forgot we were in wedding party and we almost didn't get our breakfast!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Weng-Ching Cheung: Cute and seemingly clean, and the staff was very friendly! Unfortunately the room alarm went off at 5am and disrupted what should have been a great night of sleep before an important event after a red-eye flight. Bathroom door handle is also loose and I got stuck in there for a minute before my roommate let me out from the outside.
Adam J Morris II (Torchman75): Rooms were in good shape and the lounge is a nice place to hang out and have a drink. The bar tender was very nice. If you need a place to stay in the area this is a good place.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Stephanie Organek: Room had stains on floor, weird shredded brown stuff in sink and bath tub, toilet paper holder was broken, water in sink was white, no breakfast, pool is cold and gave us all ear infections, and were charged $250 for a cleaning fee! I use to tell all my friends and family to stay at holiday inn and now I will never.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Marlon Mccaleb: Upon check in Rob and Daniel(I believe his name was) were very patient with us! They were polite and offered help every step of the way! The bar staff was very helpful when I asked questions as far as the drinks they serve! First time here and wasn't disappointed at all! Our room was clean and our room was upgraded for our anniversary! Thanks again Rob n Daniel for your help n services all around!
John Shipley: When I checked in today Daniel working at the front desk was so pleasant and kind. I wish there were more people like him . Thank you Daniel!. John s. Piedmont.Rooms: Daniel so very nice at check in.

Amy Croff: Very nice hotel for the price! Love the unique shower that had great water pressure. Comfortable beds. Spacious rooms. Hotel is larger than it appears. Was nice to be tucked in a corner that was quiet (high number rooms have a small separate little wing!). Very close to shopping, restaurants.
Matt Hammond: Everything was clean, room was quiet, and the front desk personnel were perfect.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Maricela Garcia: GoodRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jennifer Jonika: Came for a volleyball event. Perfect location to all of the event centers, the front desk staff were amazing, restaurant and bar food and drink prices were great! The restaurant/bar employees were so friendly and welcoming. Hotel was nice and quiet even with a lot of players for several different sports.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Mark Heydenburg: This is a very nice hotel very clean modern The sheets and pillows show there quality the only challenges breakfast is not quite up to the standard of the rest of the hotel maybe some improvement in quality of product would be nice. There is a shuttle and the people are friendly and on time and all the amenities of a full hotel are here.

Lamberton Lake Apartments & The Plaza at Lamberton: what do users think?
Katelin Parmelee: Overall, we had a great experience living here. The grounds were well kept up, maintenance issues were quickly addressed, and many improvements are currently taking place. Great location, a hidden gem.
Chrissy Tetter: I have lived here for over 4 years. I love the apt and they grounds are beautiful. Staff has been great and have taken care of my issues in a timely matter
kyla kyles: I have been living at Lamberton lakes for a little over a month & although everyone is super nice, my time here has been a nightmare! My apartment has had serious problems in the month I’ve been here like they did not prepare it properly. After moving in I realized my heat didn’t work, & they had to replace my furnace on week 1. I also can’t use the microwave without my power going out ,& after 2 electricians , a new microwave etc the problem stillPersists. The newest issue is I hardly have hot water. Everyone has been dragging their feet like these issues aren’t serious & super inconvenient for a new tenant & im honestly at my wits end with it. 30 days in an apartment & I’ve had problems with heat, electrical & hot water. What a nightmare
Kayla Crutcher: Not friendly to renters coming from out of state! I was super interested in a unit, but since I am unable to physically be there at the moment, I requested a video tour. I was told to just look at the pictures on the website.
Cameron Neely: Beautiful view of lake and very spacious grounds. Both office staff and maintenance team are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone moving to Grand Rapids.
Garrett Lucas: It's a place to live and is a viable option for GR residents
Jared Hekker: Very rude and unprofessional staff
Roger Peacock: Nice place I lived in the plaza building across the street for over 6 years .My problem is both the lamberton and plaza building were bought out my original lease was 645.00 a month with a 400.00 deposit.New owners say it was 300.00 and will not return because of cigarette smoke damage. It was a smoking apartment. I believe this is normal ware and tear damage especially when my rent was raised to over 1100.00 a month .They say it needed to be painted 3 times. I am a professional painter myself. If done properly it could have been done in one process. I think this is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed
Dixie Spence: great Apartments and beautiful scenery all around the apartments
Caitlyn Heidenga: Lived here before moving into our house and we had a great experience. Loved being able to walk to the lake, and the apartments themselves were really nice. Never had any issues with management or maintenance. Great if you’re looking for an easygoing, quiet place to live.
Tom Wilkinson: Great place to live. Beautiful grounds on the lakeside and good neighbor’s. Pet friendly and quiet and peaceful while being close to anything you could need.
Eriko Apriliando: The place has a beautiful lakeview (manmade). One thing that I am not too keen about is the fact that the management puts up new regulations regularly. While the reason for this is for the apartment to be more compliant with the fire department etc, it gets a little too much sometimes.
Rachel Badr: Lived here for three years as a graduate student at GVSU in a 2 bed/1bath ground floor walk out. Grounds are lovely, though lots of geese poop near the water (that is what you get for living on the lake!) and the private drive is beautiful in all seasons. Never felt unsafe here as a woman in her mid-20's despite being located next to Lazy T Motel or the trailer park as the long private drive separates us and not many people wander down it, additionally you cannot access your building without a key or being buzzed in. Had a few issues during my time there (just as any apartment would have), but maintenance was ALWAYS timely, addressing my maintenance requests typically in less than 24 hours but no more than 48 hours. Ellen and Teila went above and beyond in certain scenarios to make sure things were taken care of ASAP, and were always great about communication- I truly enjoyed my stops into the office. The apartments are exactly as pictured and very spacious. There is nothing quite like every apartment having a lake view (did I mention how beautiful the sunsets over the water are?), let alone access to a private beach, 24/7 gym facility, bonfire fit, horseshoe, and sand volleyball. It was also wonderful to have a car port free of charge, especially in the winter months! I cannot recommend this place enough- location is prime as well with immediate access to the highway and any fast food or dine-in restaurant you could possible need, in addition to many pharmacy's and a Meijer on Plainfield. Great apartment if you want to come home everyday and simply relax by nature.
Jane Doe: Worst Apartments I’ve ever lived in. Moving out ASAP...they will try to cause problems with you even if you mind your business, trust me they will find somthing to complain about. I was thinking to myself jeeze they seem crazy with the things they come up with to complain about then I read these reviews and realized it’s not just me :/
Dugan Karnazes: Beautiful view, friendly neighbors, and excellent staff. I’ve been here about 4 months. The one time I had a maintenance request, it was fixed the same morning. The grounds are very well maintained and the apartment I moved into looked exactly like the model. Pictures online are accurate. Only downside is the geese, but the beach is cleaned almost daily including on the weekends. You can’t really blame the staff for them. They try hard to fight em, but that’s what you get with a lake and large lawn. Some highway noise when you’re outside but the walls are insulated well and I never have any noise issues with neighbors. I recommended moving here to a close friend.
Tori Royale: I've had an excellent experience at Lamberton Lakes - friendly office staff and neighbors, large floor-plans, convenient location, and a very well maintained property. Couldn't ask for much more from an apartment.
Julie Kartes: I really enjoyed living at Lamberton Lake Apartments! The location was central to all the major spots, close to Alpine, East Beltline, 10 minutes from downtown GR, and close to expressway ramps! We had a great 2 bedroom with an awesome view of the lake from the 3rd floor. I will miss watching the sun rise in the morning, for sure! The staff and maintenance were always so nice, quick to respond, and helpful! Ellen, the manager, worked with us and was helpful during our move out time, which we truly appreciated! I was a bit sad after moving out of our apartment (bought a home) because it was cozy and a fairly quiet, peaceful location. The only downside was the geese but Ellen and maintenance were always proactive in trying to keep them off the property and keep the beach and lawn clean everyday. Their efforts were always much appreciated! Thanks Lamberton for giving us a great first home when we moved to Grand Rapids!
Claire Nan: I lived here for 2 years. The apartment has a definitely great view and nice people. There was one time that I was out of Michigan in winter, the management helped me to find a parking place with a roof on it. The view is gorgeous in summer. The apartment is safe and close to Meijer.
Michael C. Dublis: This place screams Michigan! Best property in Grand Rapids! Love the management!
Theresa StJohn: I wish there were dates by these reviews....i'd chance a guess that one person is using multiole names to make these past few complaints. They all read with the same wtiting style not to mention the fact that most of what was written is false.Sadly, I am moving out this weekend because of retirement changes. I've been here 3 yrs and it has been nothing but a pleasur...I am genuinely sad to leave. Management is GREAT. I have never been treated with anything but utter respect and friendly helpfulness by all office and maintainance staff.I also take umbrage with the statements about the motel and trailer park mentioned in other reviews.. I know for a fact that the motel is an EMERGENCY SHELTER for homeless people run by local government. . Being in need of immediate shelter does not make a person a prostiture. The trailer park is indeed old, but this too is an affordable setup for people of little means. I have been aware if only one big police fiasco at either place, and this was when there was an arsonist who was going around starting cars on fire in the area and hit one up in the parking lot of the motel.Neither of these places are "next to" Lamberton Lake apartments...We are on a private drive here that beautifully winds for 1/2 mile away from the motel and trailer park.I think the reviews written prior to mine are downright sinful. If a person cannot follow the rules of their lease or doesn't pay their rent and gets evicted, or cannit cooperate and come to terms with management, this cannot be blamed on said manahement. After all, we are one of three complexes all owned by one firm. Management has their own laws and rules that they must abide by and bosses and owners to answer to.Again, i am sad to leave. I have found management to be caring, understanding to a fault and efficient. I have never hesitated to go to management KNOWING that things would be resolved in short order and that comoromises would be made when possible. Maintanance too...on the spot the day of any repair call.OH, ha ha at 'I heard from somebidy else about a bedbug issue" as quoted from another review. No such thing...I have not once in 3 yrs heard any mention of bedbugs, cockroaches etc and i have known people from every building here. I live on our beach in the summer ...this would surely have come up in conversation. It's nonsense.I came to this site today to write my moving out review and was horrified by what was written here. I'm here to tell you that I have loved Livingston here and have had NO issue that could not be equitably resolved.MOVE HERE IF YOU'RE LOOKING...I can guarantee you will love it also. Terri...Buildind D.
Nolan Revers: We lived here for 1 year then found a new apartment that was more affordable. You cannot beat the view of a daily sunrise over Lamberton Lake and the community is so friendly and safe. We would absolutely move back under different circumstances. We ran into some issues trying to move (unrelated to Lamberton) and Teala and Ellen went above and beyond trying to help us get out of our jam when they had no obligation to do so. We were always pleased with the staff, including Esther in the office, and the maintenance workers Mark and Steve. They are doing their best to improve the community but projects were not completed as promised. We were told at move-in we would get new balcony sliders come Spring, but that did not happen. The updates to the 24 hour fitness center were beautiful but they failed to repair broken equipment. Our biggest issues were the drafts from our windows driving up our energy costs and the army of geese in our backyard.

Morton Hotel: what do users think?
The A3 Company: I would have LOVED to leave a better review but after being THREATENED & FALSELY accused of stealing here we are. The hotel was very accommodating itself but that is where it ends. After checking out I received a disturbing email stating we STOLE linens which we NEVER did. We not only washed and folded but helped THEIR worker load it all and clean up to ensure it was in the ORIGINAL state. I have NEVER been treated so poorly then have their staff THREATEN me by defaming my name which is against the law pursuant to 18 USC 41. I will be seeking ALL legal remedies for this situation. I expected better after spending the amount of money I did with this establishment. I’m disgusted to say the least and I just wonder did any of the WHITE guest have this same problem?!

Sherri Jones: First time staying at this Hotel.Came to town for concert at Van Andel Arena. Would definitely stay here again! Residency style accommodations; beautiful suite, kitchen and open concept living area. Strong security systems. Thank you Logan for the high class service welcome! Hotel is walking distance to Arena, downtown restaurants and bar/pubs. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!!
Laurie Evonich: The location is great & convenient! Our college age daughter lives a couple blocks from the hotel. Also, having a full kitchen was very useful; I had to cook/bake a full meal for 15 people (to take to another location) and that was perfect to make that happen. The bed was comfortable and the closet was huge. Although a lot was happening on the streets of GR it was very quiet in the room.

Maarten van Lieshout: It's a modern hotel in a historic building. The apartment I stayed in was spacious, clean, and friendly with all the amenities you can think of. Loved how they preserved and accentuated the original structure (e.g. steel H beams). The check-in and check-out couldn't be easier as most of the communication goes via email. No hassle at a desk. And the security seems great. 1 personal code gives access to the building, my floor, and my apartment. Don't like codes? When entering my room 2 fobs were waiting for me.Although there is not much interaction with staff the tone of voice is friendly in all their email and p[rinted communication: making sure both fido (if you happen to bring your dog) and you feel most welcome.
Julia Pulk: Good location, clean and comfortable room, kitchen and washing machine were great additions.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kelsey Zigarelli: this hotel was absolutely beautiful but also very creepy. someone was supposed to be at the front desk form 10-6 but i never saw anyone there. personally i think i hotel should have someone there from 8 to at least 10. You also use the same code to get in the elevator that you use to get into your room. if someone see me type that out and they know what room i'm in they can easily get into it. I would have felt much safer if we could have changed the room access code.

Ashley Johnson: This hotel exceeded my expectations! It was our first time traveling with our 5 year old Bully. He LOVED IT! And so did we. Large room, prime location, no problem parking daily, SUPER CLEAN, comfy bed, no dog smells, big furnished kitchen with everything we need, and easy contactless check-in and check-out. I couldn’t say enough great things. The doggie play and wash area in the basement was absolutely clutch as well for those early morning or late night potty runs. We’ll definitely be back

C. Storbin: decent hotel close to retail and not too far from local attractions.Hot breakfast daily of eggs / sausage / biscuits & gravy along with your normal continental lineup of instant oatmeal / muffins/ yogurt / cereal………They have a pancake machine also but I’m told they only run that in Saturday mornings so didn’t get to sample the pancakesthe hotel is under renovation but they are doing that half a floor at a time & didn’t effect any of the rest of the property.indoor pool, hot tub& workout room in basement *hot tub is down for the foreseeable future so don’t count on that being available during your stay.what I didn’t like about the hotel, no microwaves in room & only a single 700watt shared microwave in the lobby area. minifridge in room has no “freezer section” / coldness can’t be adjustedAC/Heating unit was hard to adjust to your preferred temperature, but that mighta been an operator headspace issuethe windows only has sheer drapes that lets the sunshine light up the entire room during the day & allows people to see into your windows at night, you can’t close the other drapes. *don’t stay here if your a day sleeper / don’t go prancing around naked at night
AirJourdan FPV: Hot tub was empty so that’s minus 3 stars. Sad. However the workers were nice and funny with jokes so +1 star for a total of 3/5.

Pops Jones: The facility did seem understaffed. An icy morning was made more treacherous as no one salted the parking lot and a customer fell. The pool and hot tub were out of order, which was not disclosed prior to arrival or at booking. All that said, the staff were friendly and did their best.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 2/5 …More

Mark Norris: This hotel was very clean and bright. Our room was made up upon arrival and contained two queen beds, a fold out couch, cold refridgerator, and KCup coffee maker. Shower was large and had full size bottles of Shampoo, Cream Rinse, and Body Wash. The swimming pool was very nice and included a hot tub. A full workout room was also avaliable as well.Breakfast was excellent. A large assortment of hot foods consisting of omelets, sausage links, bacon, biscuits and gravey, hot cinnamon rolls, as well as a waffle maker. Also included was cold cereal, fruit, and coffee bar featuring 3 types of creamer, hot apple cider, and OJ.The only complaint was the mattresses were only fair and the pull out couch matress was really bad. My young grandaughters had to sleep on the couch cushions as the springs were uncomfortable for them to sleep on. Would definately recommend this place for a pleasant stay

Old Farm Shores Apartments: what do users think?
Ashley Bignall: Tasha was outstanding in helping me get approved and moved in, she made the process unbelievably quick and simple, and had a perfect apartment in mind for me and my 6 month old based on my preferences. Best experience with a leasing agent that I’ve ever had, and the apartment is stunning. Beautiful outside view by the water, and absolutely no complaints from me :) highly recommend the apartments and Tasha!
Kara Kendall: Lived here in a studio for a year. Worst living experience I have had. Tried to stay optimistic but overall I would really recommend living elsewhere. Place was dirty upon move in & multiple maintenance issues. Sliding back door didn't lock, & didn't close all the way, sink had leak, bathroom sink had chipping, have to pull on coat closet door to close & more. I am leaving this unit in better shape. Luckily my dad is a handy man and fixed many of these issues. Maintenance does not fix things the proper way. You will have to keep calling them back to ask for things done correctly. Within 2-3 months of living in the area, my partners tires and rimes got stolen right outside in the parking lot on his 2023 truck. Not a safe area. No cameras or lighting in back parking lot, which is often the only place for visitors to park. Office was informed and nothing was done. My building is supposed to lock and did not when I moved in. After this incident happened I felt very unsafe living alone in the area. Had the biggest stomach ache living here for weeks after this happened. I had to submit several maintenance requests to fight to get my building door to lock, like it should. Was fixed with a small piece of wood. Pull hard enough and someone could get in. Cannot stress enough how disappointed I have been with this place. Lots of frustrations here. Gave up after awhile with asking maintenance to "fix" things. Waste of time. Luckily I am moving out in less than a month.Had giant leak on my ceiling from water heater above me, maintenance brought in fans and painted over it with a white color that does not even match my ceiling. The list goes on. If you care about your space and security I would recommend looking elsewhere and save yourself the headache. Normally I would never post reviews like this, but I want to prevent someone else from going through all this.
Madeline Culbertson: We have lived here for almost a year and I can honestly say it’s been the best experience. The staff is super awesome, always ready to help. The trails around the complexes are super nice and the dog park is a great size. They have been super accommodating to our dogs, and the size of the apartments are perfect. Whenever something breaks/stops working someone comes out right away no matter what time. Overall we have no complaints and we will definitely be staying here awhile longer.
Elizabeth “Liz” Weary: We lived here from 2020-2022 and by far this was the best apartments we lived at in GR. The only reason we moved is because we moved across the country. It was peaceful, staff where always kind, I had great neighbors, and loved the walking trails. It's a hidden gem and some of the nicest people live in this community.
ClΔSH MΔSS. T: Very nice place, all the staffs at the office were very friendly, helpful, and kind.
Vivi Nguyen: Through pictures, it is not hard to see how beautiful it is to live at Old Farm Shore apartment. As soon as we moved in, we immediately fell in love with the area, and the little walking trails for our dogs, but most importantly, we absolutely love the staff at Old Farm Shore - so much, that we decided to upgrade to a larger space shortly after. If you are looking for a scenic place to stay, with proactive and reliable maintenance staff, Old farm shore is the best!
GringoTacoBoy: Apartments on Sandy shore are filled with spiders and had to call the cops one time on people breaking into cars
Wayne Slone: My only complaint is the mailing services make things very difficult due to delivery drivers not being allowed to enter the building so they all go to the main office. I have had 3 packages disappear so far the last of which was an emergency item I ordered for one of my grad school classes which I needed in a timely manner so a $600 3 month science project has to be restarted from scratch.Edit: management has already made a plan to rectify my complaint, I am very happy with my experience living here. Had some issues with my furnace when I first moved in where it went out a few times but someone was always out right away to fix it.Update: they have changed back to the Fort Knox front door so all my packages are arriving 5-6 days late due to them having to make that many attempts. I’ve have about 10 packages sent back to original sender due to no access o the building, and 5-6 times I have had to fill out and file several long forms due to them requiring specific delivery times due to no access to the building. If you have issues with large crowds like me and have most things delivered you may find yourself struggling to get a large majority of your orders.
Aaron Hall: The best apartment complex I’ve lived at! This place quickly felt like home. The property is well taken care of, the lakes are clean, the roads were always plowed in the winter. It’s in a nice location, there are a lot of really nice walking trails near by. The staff is the best I’ve ever experienced. Everyone is super friendly and from the beginning they were always on top of things. Any issue I had, they never gave me any hassle, the maintenance staff was quickly there to fix whatever the problem.
R S: The blinds were disgusting and not replaced when moved in. It smelled of smoke even though it’s supposedly smoke free. The carpet wasn’t replaced and was in horrible condition. They said it wouldn’t be replaced because the carpet was new. The place wasn’t cleaned when we moved in. The front office guy Larry is nice. Basically walking in bird poop from the car to your front door during the summer. Lake view was nice. Too many issues to stay here. Looked nice on website but dirty in person. The laundry washer was full of mold and had to call maintenance to fix it. Like housekeeping must not be getting paid to leave those apartments like that. Anyway if you need a place to stay, look elsewhere because there are cheaper places for the same quality.
Michael Fuller: Definitely a great place to go while saving or waiting for a house :) been very happy here.
Paul Jacobson: What became very apparent early on as a prospective, and then eventually as an actual tenant at OFSA, was that the staff were always friendly, always helpful, always respectful, and always responsive. I don't take that for granted, because as I'm sure many of you know who are reading this, those qualities are pretty rare in the world of apartment renting. There will always be the eventual difficult and problematic situations that arise given the transitionary nature of life in a rental property, but just knowing that the folks that you are renting from have your back, want to right the ship if there arey any issues...that's huge. Most people I have rented from in the past take an oppositional posture, blaming the tentant for anything that arises, even when it's not the tentant's fault. There is a real comfort here knowing that OFSA staff does not take that stance, and I've never felt hesitant to call or drop by the office to chat about anything that may be going on. It's quite refreshing...and that makes a huge difference in terms of quality of life.
Cherie Aikens: Moving to Old Farm Shores has been a win win for me. I love my kind neighbors and the office staff are professional and always have a smile on their face. I enjoy just sitting on my patio and watching the nature around me on the beautiful lake. I feel the location is perfect, close to shopping, Dr's. Offices, specialty stores, etc. I'm grateful every day that I took the leap and moved here.
K F: My husband and I have been living in Old Farm Shores since June of 2015 and never had a problem. Only issue we have is outdated appliances and apartment. However, the staff is amazing and always willing to help with we need it. When we hit hard times in 2020, they were willing to work with us on making rent and I truly appreciated that.
Dr. Jedidiah E Jahaziel: This is my 4th year at Old Farm Shores and it’s a fantastic place to live! The office staff are top notch and so very courteous and friendly. The maintenance team is efficient, fast, friendly and respectful of your apartment while they are working. The grounds are beautiful and it’s not noisy and the lake views are simply gorgeous and the pool is beautiful and well kept. They offer family friendly entertainment and serve snacks and food often. I’m very blessed to have come here and met such a wonderful community of people. You won’t go wrong coming to Old Farm Shores!
Donna Reeves: I love living here…. Office staff is great, maintenance crew is awesome. Same day repairs and I have never had to walk or drive through snow. Crew is up and plowing and shoveling by 4:30 am.
Ashley Burlage: We love Old Farm Shores Apartments! Office staff is incredibly friendly, amenities like the pool, outdoor kitchen and dog park are clean and well maintained! We are on our 9th year here and love the walking trails behind the apartments and how quiet the neighborhood is! There are so many large beautiful trees on the property that it makes every season enjoyable! When family visits, they always are complimenting the view of the pond out back, as during certain times of the year you can see all the fish swimming around!
Brian: I have lived here for six years and it has been a great experience. The neighbors are very friendly and the area is well maintained. Maintenance responds quickly and they have always been friendly and respectful when entering the apartment. The office staff is easy to get ahold of and they are always friendly and seem to genuinely care about the community. Patty from the office is especially a great asset to the Old Farm Shores community.
H TX: Most unprofessional place i ever lived , so glad to be moving outta here . they will try to suck you dry , managers throw darts .. so glad im moving outta here man thank you jehovah god ! It is a blessing to be moving away from the awful manager an awful maintenance team lord knows i hate it here after 5 crazy long years 😵‍💫 last day here an im screaming happy 🎉they will give you prorated rates ! Also had a friend pass away here an they charged him the 5 days he was dead inside his apartment ?!? also tried charging me $4,200 with damages when we would ask them to fix these things the maintenance team never showed…i know im not the only one who has dealt with this as well seeing other reviews an speaking to past residents .
Lisa May: I have lived at Old Farm Shores for about 4 years now. I absolutely love it there. I move from a one bedroom to a two bedroom and the staff made the transition super easy and accommodating with my situation of wanting to upgrade. I am currently in an Upgraded Apartment and it is so nice. I have a brand new washer and dryer in the apartment, a beautiful fireplace and a nice large deck overlooking one of the lakes. On top of how nice the apartments are, office staff and maintenance have been wonderful. When I put in a maintenance request, it has been my experience that it is taken care of the same day. The grounds, pool and walking trails are three of my favorite amenities of Old Farm Shores. I have zero complaints. My whole time here has been nothing but a good experience.
jacob brault: We stayed at our farm Shores and one of our maintenance man came in and destroyed our closet and never fixed it he reported that he fix the closet and he never did also we had a Partman insurance and we paid our bill every month once we moved out we got a letter in the mail from collections for $740 even though we paid our bill and paid our apartment insurance every month old Farm Shores more like wait till u leave to make up charges

Holiday Inn Grand Rapids North - Walker, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Jen Starks: Front desk ladies were very friendly even though swamped. Bottom line is this: we were very disappointed because this hotel was chosen strictly for the hot tub. The hot tub consisted of a semi-warm-filthy-community-bubble-less-tub. I called ahead of making a reservation to make sure the hot tub was up and running. Very disappointed, not to mention disgusted.
Fabien Filoche: Les chambres, les équipements, le restaurant, le petit déjeuner…Rien a dire tout est ok
faith abram: Never made a reservation at this hotel and found fraudulent charges on my card. Called the front desk and asked about this and she interrupted me mid sentence to place me on hold. I then get transferred to Tammy, the front desk manager who claims to tell me “ma’am it is illegal to not show up for your reservation. I cannot refund you.”Tammy… I don’t know what world you live in but your customer service was terrible and you blatantly lied straight to me knowing damn well WE BOTH KNOW YOU JUST MADE THAT UP! LOL! let me file a law suit for these fraudulent charges and show you what is truly illegal
Phil Hurst: We inadvertently booked twice and never knew till our credit card was double billed. We have tried to get the owners attention to the matter but the staff has denied all responsibility and lied about facts. We will NEVER use an IHG Group Hotel till this is made right. This owner owes us $151.86 because they failed to offer or acknowledge a second room reservation at the time of check in.Noteworthy details: Double charging for a single room stay is not customer friendly

Robert McIntyre: Clean and comfortable. I had to run the water for a while before it was warm/hot. A couple of minutes but it was hot.
Mallory -: My family of 4 had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were well stocked, and we received extra blankets and pillows upon request. The only downside was that this location does not offer a continental breakfast, which we found odd. I would recommend staying here.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Lee Hill: Clean, friendly and accessible place to stay.Rooms: Very clean room.Food & drinks: No continental breakfast. There is a restaurant inhouse. The one meal I bought was pretty good but pricey. Just my opinion.
Jhön Vènt: The room that I was in was very comfortable, and for most of my stay was quiet. I believe that the hotel is new and the area is developing more as time goes on.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Sandra Mrachina: Worked with group sales for a hockey team trip. Not only were they able to secure our rooms at a good price, but they helped us with meeting/hangout space too. The kids loved the pool and the breakfast was very good. Having a place to grab a drink and socialize with the other hockey parents in the lobby was also enjoyable. We will stay here again if we end up on this side of the state. Thank you!
Megan East: AMAZING stay. Super clean rooms. We actually came here after checking out of a different UNACCEPTABLE hotel for the evening. They were kind, accomdating, huge rooms, clean and super nice staff. Safe parking lot & area.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Greenfield Apartment Homes: what do users think?
D -: This place started off great.Big rent increases. A terrible quality renovation and the lack of care for tenants really leaves a poor taste in your mouth. The renovations (Subcontractors) were terrible quality paint not even close. Cheap fixtures that were installed poorly. They took out very nice high quality fixtures and replaced them with trash and now they are crooked! The outlets they replaced are bulging on the walls and they left my apartment a mess. The crew mistreated my apartment while they were in there and the worst of all I had no say in the fact that they were renovating my apartment. I’ve never heard of a complex renovating a unit while a tenant lived there. The disgusting I don’t care attitude of the office and the general lack of being able to assist you with out calling the actual leasing company is terrible. The only saving grace of this complex is the actual on-site maintenance manager. He is a great guy and has helped me tremendously. The rest of the office has been a serious disappointment. I’ve tried being nice and asking politely and taking care of this in house but I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I hope my review makes someone else think twice about moving here.I will say of the years I’ve lived here the last year has been horrible. And they don’t care. They only rules they enforce are the ones that benefit them. This place costs way too much for the quality and lack of care for the tenants
the life of savanah: I only choose these apartments because I like the area other than that if you're looking for quality these are not it!
Michael Bonagura: I have been living at Greenfield Apartments for the past two years now and I have really enjoyed my time here. Besides the Michigan Roads, the units are nice and the near by walking trail is nice to visit. The staff here is very friendly and flexible. Jamal has been one of the best people I have worked with while trying to find apartments. I would highly recommend this place!
Robbin Floyd: Very professional, and informational.
Drew Patton: I was seriously looking into moving here, but the lack of communication from the office was ridiculous. I called several times before I got through to someone, I sent several emails requesting information without ever getting a response beyond advertisements that don't address any of my inquiries, and now that I've signed a lease elsewhere, I am still getting spammed with advertisement emails despite letting them know I am not interested. I'm partially writing this review because I hope they will finally see something I've sent them and LEAVE ME ALONE.
Shannon Anderson: Jamel was super helpful with getting us into a downstairs apartment and helped make the transition easier
Jenna Whitham: Jamal in the office is very helpful to are sure that everything is lined up and good to go. Great at keeping the communication line open.
The Services LLC: Just leaving pictures to show roaches, ants, mold as well as bad air quality when heat is in use as well as improper seals for rooms getting very cold during winter is very strange for a complex charging such rates, with amenities that exist but are at best flawed or faulty like the air fan in the bathroom removing nothing no air or humidity. There is a dog park but grass fields will be found to have dog remains as well as deer remains. Grassfield also floods creating large puddles. There is no sidewalk for walking only car entrance and car exit forcing a car need basis for such a locally acquired location, so walking on the car pavement is a hassle as well as the field available. I doubt any real progress will be made as repairs are done just cheap enough to be considered verifiable method of solution.(sort of like putting clear tape on a old bill) to use the bill will work but doesn't help that the bill is old, beat down and flawed. Whoever set these operations at work was done by a poor man in a rich house with purchased goods including fertility and has made no-good of good people. I've seen response on the reviews. Yet nothing was done, nothing has changed years back ,months back ,weeks back. People who seek to rent a place be aware and rent at your own risk, before even being applicable to there process you have to fit there requirements that don't fit realistic expectations ( like making 3x rent)=rent 1000$+(not including utilities), good credit people don't rent dumps like these. To then pay 150$ singular (more people the $$$ up) for the application fee(half auto-non refundable). Let's not forget the separate charges for utilities. Including the steep Entrance that can take a suspension off and 2-3 potholes around the driveway(not including parking spot) .With that being said I don't know if it's like this in all duplex's in this complex, and I'm sure there are one's that are taken care of but I don't see them leaving good reviews unless they being coreced by management to do so. But if you Hee'd the information provided then don't say it wasn't a given. Real Estate-Agent Working the job at the office which isn't even proper management, your doing a wonderful job ,keeping your job being the person they want you to be and keeping there pockets nice and stuff. In the last 2 months 4 to 3 tenants moved out that I've seen. I wonder who's next.
Lauren Duffield: Toured a unit with Jamal yesterday and had a great experience. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and very patient. This is definitely somewhere I can see living with my fiance and 2 young sons. They have a pool open during the summer, on site coin op/QR code laundry room open 24 hours. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking into an apartment.
Ray Fisher: Moved in early December and loving it so far. I've submitted a couple of maintenance requests and they were take care of asap. Neighbors are quiet and have had zero issues. Jamal is super professional and cares about his residents. As someone who has worked in the industry before, it has been great working with him and staff!
shavon hamilton: I lived here for two years. 6 months into living in the apartment I noticed mold in the second bedroom around the window which I reported and maintenance came sprayed some stuff after I had already clean the mold with bleach. Not only did the mold come back I had more mold spots so much you could smell the mold in air. I reported it again and was told I needed to clean it and someone would come take a look no one never came to check for mold and it only got worse in different parts of the house. All windows in the house, closets and corners of the room had mold spots on the wall and carpet when I moved out. A lot of my items were ruined and had to thrown away. Upon moving out I was told I was charged for carpet that had mold because it wasn’t cleaned up in time by me and the mold could’ve been caused by me taking a shower. A daily shower does not cause a 2 br apartment to have mold in every room. I wouldn’t recommend anyone rent from them unless your desperate.
Lemlem Kidane: Best service
Erika Crowdell: Roaches in apartment and the office staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional, would feel safer in a youth hostel
Andrew Ireland: Nice place to live, pretty quiet & chill and a good location; near downtown gr and east gr without sitting right in the middle of a busy area
Katie Harding: I’ve been looking for housing for awhile and it’s been a struggle! Lee and Jamal have made it really easy and feel like they’re nearly as determined as I am to help me find a place. They answered all of my (many) questions.
Jamie Castle: Jamal is awesome! He helped out so much! Ask for him when going in!
Josh Hoffert: Jamal is amazing! He went above and beyond to help myself and my wife!I definitely would recommend going to this apartment complex! Ask for him
victoria uy: Jamal was very hospitable and welcoming! I toured here and will fill out an application on the spot, wonderful facility.
Dawanna Gunter: I went to this place last week. The guy act like he was really gonna help me & my family til I mention all the bad reviews I seen on this post plus he admitted they have roaches in the apartments. Then you have to pay a ridiculously high environmental fee plus application fee a grand total of $195.55 which will NOT be refunded for almost a month depends on how fast they move to give it back to you. Also they will ask you for your money order stub like you remedial as hell.... WOW you suppose to keep that for your records..... Ppl please be careful it's a hold lot of snakes out here😠
Jessica Aguilar: THE WORST EXPERIENCE APARTMENT LIVINGI rented here because I was in a rush to find a place. Worst mistake. There are ROACHES. They said they would bring someone in but there was never any improvement. It got worse. I never had a roach problem before living here. The leasing staff is almost never reachable. So expect to not get your phone call answered. Maintenance takes forever. They don’t care about their residents. The conditions I lived in were horrible. I have attached PICTURES! The upstairs neighbors had a leak that broke through my bathroom dry wall. They did not fix it and I lived like this for almost 2 months! I had to shower like this and sometimes the tarps filled with DIRTY WATER would pop and I couldn’t shower until someone came to put it back up. I am sure if I hadn’t moved out I would still have my bathroom looking like that. They had the audacity to not return me my full deposit of $600. I am a clean person and never had this happen to me before. I also got charged for an extra day after I moved out. I called the office and they weren’t able to tell me why. I am so glad I am out of there. We terminated the lease early. The bathroom never got fixed. I hope no one goes through this.
Ashley Ward: This is a great place to live! Very quiet, my neighbors are great. Maintenance is really good at getting things fixed quickly and they’re very kind and respectful of your space. The office managers are also very patient, understanding and helpful during such a hard time for many of us. I’m glad I chose Greenfield for my first apartment, it’s been a year and the experience has been very pleasant even during such trying times. Thank you for all you guys do!!!
