Ahsav 26: Darling tea house - attended a themed tea party, the Patriotic Tea. It was quite informative, be prepared for a decent amount of content presentation between courses. Food and tea was scrumptious. Tea Room is housed inside the hostess' own home it would seem, which took me a bit by suprise when pulling up (thought I arrived at the wrong location!) Very intimate setting. Be prepared to chat with some friendly old ladies, and a couple slightly younger attendees too
Christine Vanderheide: Food was good , presentation was lovely atmosphere was a warm tea house very welcoming could sit and visit very comfortably Worth the visit
Frances DeVries: Cynthia Wedge puts on a lovely high tea a few times a year. They are fun. The food is scones, little sandwiches and other tasty tea party foods. The tea itself is delightful to drink.
Laura Burton: I absolutely loved going to The Little Women themed tea party. Great tea, great food, wonderful host and place. I hope to go again sometime soon.
chris perini: What a terrific time at the Little Women Tea this afternoon! The food was delicious with a different type of tea for each course! I enjoyed learning new things about Louisa May Alcott from our wonderful hostess and talking about Little Women with everyone.
Leslie Carr: Delightful experience!
Pam Gifford: My best friends too me too my first tea party and I loved it.
Joseph Miller: Nice quaint tea room, with awesome food, tea and service! I'm very pleased and will go back again in the future!

The Sparrows Coffee & Tea & Newsstand: what do users think?
Erin Routledge: I've been visiting Scorpion Hearts club for the last year, and here is why I stopped going there altogether. Many from Grand Rapids love this little coffee shop, formerly known as Sparrows. However, I have experienced some things and have learned a lot that puts a bad taste in my mouth. We as a community are obligated to support and protect each other and that includes making sure everyone is entitled to a living wage.In the past year, many baristas that I have come to know and talk to have left. I overheard an interview in which I learned that the starting wage for Scorpion Hearts club is $9. Ask yourself if you could live off of that. Now, you may say, but tips! "So many people tip and this brings their wages up significantly." While tipping can help, it is not promised and I do not believe that any worker should have to rely on tips to make a living wage. No one should have to rely on a stranger to tip them $3 so they can pay their bills.I have also witnessed several times where there was only one poor barista during a rush and had 10+ coffees to make themselves.I also want to point out that with the returned ownership, all the drinks went up in price, however, the workers still make $9/hr. I urge this company to take a hard look at themselves and question if they cannot pay their workers fairly, do they deserve to own a business? Multiple other small businesses AND large franchises pay a higher base rate.Besides this, there are many other instances that made me uncomfortable and turned me off of this establishment. If you are counting on the wifi to do work, you might as well never come here. On average, the wifi has to be reset multiple times in a 3-4 hour basis and I often felt like I was being a nuisance by asking them to check it. Much easier to just go somewhere where I know the wifi is reliable. I would recommend they upgrade or get rid of it all together. Please remember that small business ≠ ethical practices and I urge you to be an informed consumer. Try a different shop that treats their employees and guests fairly. The coffee is okay, but there's great coffee other places too.
Antonio Altamirano: A coffee shop with a soul. Go for the pour over dark roast and stay for the socially conscious art, books and greeting cards. One of my favorite coffee spots in Grand Rapids!
My Grand Rapids Life My Grand Rapids Life: This coffee shop is definitely one of my favorites in the area, and there are many reasons why.First and foremost, the atmosphere at Scorpion Hearts Club is absolutely fantastic. It's a cozy and welcoming space that feels like a home away from home. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to work or a place to catch up with friends, this coffee shop is perfect. And of course, the coffee itself is top-notch. The baristas at Scorpion Hearts Club really know their stuff and take pride in creating the perfect cup of coffee every time. You're sure to be impressed by the quality and attention to detail that goes into each and every drink.Overall, I would highly recommend Scorpion Hearts Club to anyone looking for a great coffee shop in Grand Rapids. With its welcoming atmosphere, top-notch coffee and food, and friendly staff, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

She was such a pleasure to get to talk to 😊The ambiance was really cool and there is a good amount of seating—just be warned that on a weekend afternoon, they can fill up fast!

Ella Rapelje: Love this place, so glad they're here. Amazing selection of tea, herbs and spices sold in customizable sizes.
Anna Bailey: Amazing tea selection!
Ty Wiseman: Tea but on a whole 'nother level! My wife needed a specific tea and they had many more options besides the one she was hunting for. Organic tea, not covered with "natural flavors" or in toxic tea bags. They have a small tea bar so you can walk out with a cuppa. They also have some nice sundries and handmade gifts.
Tate Kessler: I've been coming here for years. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and WONDERFUL selection of bulk teas and herbs
Margaret Werderits: Great place for gifts, coffee and very helpful service. Never been disappointed.
Margeaux Cotton: So thankful to have found this spot for refilling my spices in bulk! The parking lot is shared with a few other shops, but I had no issue finding a spot. You can bring in your own containers or have them fill paper bags for you. They also have a huge selection of tea and other fair trade gifts and home goods.
Paul Townsend Lamb: Spices galore! Fresh whole, ground and powdered spices from all over the world. And tea! So much tea! Teas for every occasion. For no occasion. For you, for friends and for family. While you are gathering your spices like a squirrel gathering nuts, enjoy a latte or other coffee beverage. Not a friend of the coffee bean? Have a chai latte instead. Not a latte fan? Fine then, have a nice cup of tea. They also carry handmade products from all over the globe to infuse some culture in your life and support small business at the same time.
Paige Kern: My favorite place for teas, spices, and chocolate! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I absolutely love the Dream Blend herbal tea.

Joseph Kaniewski: Nice selection and staff was happy to help.
Jada: Thanks, Johanna! You were such a great help and the tea was amazing 😊 we hope to be back soon
Joshua Loomis: Global Infusion is a lovely little shop that embodies Eastown - it's eclectic, well traveled, and diverse. They have a wide variety of goods offered including spices, loose leaf tea, coffee (both beans and ready to order beverages), jewelry, candles, and many other globally centric gifts and goodies. The spices alone are worth the trip - I'm an avid cook and they offer the freshest and widest variety of spices in the area. The staff is always cajoling and helpful, to boot. A true gem in Grand Rapids!
Caroline Karimi: It was a very artsy and fun tea store. It has very healthy options and fair-trade items. The teas came in many varieties. There will be surely something for everyone if thye like tea. In addition to hot teas and lose leaf teas, they sold journals, handbags, notecards, and other accessories.
Cathy Barger: Awesome, homey, global shop, with wonderful fair trade goods. Highly recommend this place!
Glenn Fischer: This store is now on my list of "must visit" places when visiting Grand Rapids. The merchandise is high quality and cute. The tea and spices they sell are so fresh. The staff is friendly and attentive; you feel like you're the best part of their day. The drinks made here are top notch. Treat yourself to a visit here.

Davi: I have tried the smoothies, Chai latte, and healthy bowl. They were are great! The service it amazing. Great vibe.
Alex Duran-stawiski: Kinda pricy, took a minute, but it really did give me the feeling of a white teenager with the illusion of productivity. Men's room needs ventilation but the mango drinks were yummy. I really liked the Boba. They had apples to apples in the back of the store but it was the family version which is wrong.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Sarah J De Mey: Update #2: By jove, I think they've figured out the tapioca situation. Last 2 visits, they hit the nail on the head. Delicious drinks and great customer service.Update #1: it's improving! Two recent visits: On one visit they had tapioca! On the other visit they didn't but their customer service was in top gear..I really enjoy their boba tea... when they make tapioca pearls. They often don't have tapioca made, so call first if that's what you want.
Jesse Rodriguez: Great for coffee with friends!Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Amy Martinez: Cashier was nice, but I requested light ice. This is not light ice by far; I probably won’t be back.
Zaletchi Georgia: The place is great, the coffee is delicious.I will definitely come back here!
Sarah Matzen: Best Acai bowls in Grand Rapids! This place is a hidden gem! Love that they have Nitro cold brew. My favorite coffee shop in the area, great prices too.
Patricia Reed: Went in for lunch and ordered a coffee and a sandwich. The coffee came out right away, but I had to wait over 45 minutes for the food. It tasted fine, but I don’t recommend going here if you want something to eat within a reasonable timeframe.
Faith Jaciuk: Ordered the pour over, the coffee tasted like regular coffee. Was extremely busy. Needs more staff
Isaac Hamlet: Rented out the space, at a very reasonable price, for a personal event. The owner was very flexible and accommodating, the coffee was very good and the space was perfect for the event!
Michele Thorson: Great tea! Great environment! Great service! I love the personalized atmosphere instead of the run of the mill chain coffee shops. The breakfast items are delicious, too. Highly recommend!
Brooklyn Dearing: I do not know know much about coffee, but the baristas were super kind and helpful! One of them made me their favorite drink, an iced latte with pumps of white chocolate and lavender and oat milk. IT IS SO GOOD! I feel like I am drinking Spring itself, 10/10 great coffee and even better service 💜
Jessica Morgan: The barristas were very sweet and helpful as I tried to make a sweetened coffee that works with my diet. Delicious coffee and comfortable atmosphere.
T T: The sign on the door said it closed at 2pm Saturday, but the door was locked at 1:38. That's kinda frustrating.
Michael Horowitz: Friendly and courteous service. Great nitro coffee. Child loved the bubble tea. I usually frequent a coffee chain for fear of the unknown, was happy I have this place a try.
Zachary Parsons: It was okay, nothing bad just nothing great.
Angela W: Friendly service

Craig Eby Jr: I love this place and always have. I've been coming here for over 10 years since I went to Grand Valley. I also think this would be the best place to break up with someone, based on the name alone.Great coffee drinks and a great atmosphere whether you are there to study, work or meet with friends or potential breakupsVegetarian options: It's a coffee shop. Pretty easy go vegetarianParking: Street parking or there is a lot across the street near the bus stop. Very convenient location
Amy Rossetti: Was in GR for the weekend. Didn't get to the Hyatt Place downtown until 8 pm and every other coffee shop nearby was closed. Couldn't believe our luck that there was a 24 hr coffee shop less than 2 miles away! We went here a few times during our stay and got various lattes, chai tea and fruit bubble tea. There are SO MANY great drinks to choose from. Very hip and located in a unique space with a lot of character. (It apparently used to be a very old bank?) Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.Parking: Plenty of free parkingWheelchair accessibility: There's a large step up. Didn't see a ramp or an entrance other than up front.
Mason Music: Great people, great coffee drinks!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Brett Andrew Kirken: This place has a lovely atmosphere and has good hours for studying and socializing, and the prices are fair, but unfortunately it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of coffee.I appreciate the ethical sourcing of the beans, but the espresso is overroasted by contemporary third-wave standards, and the espresso shots are pulled long. Mine was served in a coffee mug, and although it was pulled very long it still tasted over extracted and was basically undrinkable.
Eli Tennant: It was a bit crowded and we had to wait in line a little bit before getting to the counter... But my beverage was good and we had a great time. I also really appreciate that it's open 24 hours because by the time my friends and I left it was midnight. This is definitely a coffee place that a lot of college students come to.Parking: There are a few parallel parking spots in front of the coffee house and there is a parking lot across the street.

Eggn't Egg: Excellent staff. Food menu is limited and not very good but the coffee is good. Atmosphere is nice and cozy. Very welcoming place.Kid-friendliness: Has a book exchange, coloring pages and a game section
Michael Jacobs: Open 24 hours. Good coffee. Eclectic atmosphere.
Jose Angel Dominguez: Visited this coffee shop on Saturday night while out with my family and this place is great. Cozy little shop, mainly for college students but very welcoming to anyone. The chai tea latte was great, the decor was the magnificent. Today, when everyone is on the run, this place takes you back to a time long lost when you could just sit and enjoy the evening. Definitely going back to try a coffee this time.
Terry LaForge III: I like the staff and environment, plus it's 24hrs so that's always good. Ever flowing Coffee! The coffee was good and had a balance of roasts mostly earthy but have fruitier choices too. They roast inhouse and provide a variety of blends offered through drip brew method, in addition to the variety of espresso based drinks.
PinguAX: Cool building, good coffee. I almost hate to give it 2 stars, but after sitting down and having 3+ gnats swarming me, each one took off a star. I'm not sure if this was a one time thing or what, but I really can't relax and study with bugs swarming my coffee.
