Randi F: Critical:Professionalism,QualityGentleman who took my call hung up on me when I asked him a question. This was after a series of questions from him.
Brenda Williams: Whether it’s Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, or LG, these TV technicians can handle whatever brand you throw at them. They are skilled reliable, honest, and they work fast. Other than doing repairs, they also do installations and wall mounting. Their after-sales service is just as great! Perfect score!

Blackie's: what do users think?
John Westra: My first experience with Blackie's was as a kid 55 years ago. It was magical. My most recent experience was a testament to how America has gone from being a maker of durable, innovative things worthy of repair, to a graveyard of cheap goods, manufactured in China, that are difficult or impossible to get parts for, repaired by a dying breed of technicians, whose business is trapped between the remnants of a once thriving enterprise and the landfill/grave.
Jason Mcsorley: Horrible.. HorribleHorrible..that is all I can say
Stacy Graftema: Just had 2 gentlemen come out to do a warranty repair on my TV. Were very nice and answered my questions in detail and then some. Would recommend off of my experience.
Ned Crouch: three years later--still waiting for my refund.
William McQuade: They have repaired a Marantz Stereo amp that had a dead channel and a vintage Pioneer SA5200 on which both channels failed. We also had them check out a Mackies speaker amp for us. They actually do good work and they are a dying breed in this age of throw away electronics. The older gentleman has memories struggles. You will want to deal with the younger light haired man. He's probably the son.The secret to dealing with Blackies is in person. If you call, you will get the older guy and he will become very confused. If you drop something off. Go back after a week with your slip and ask to speak to the younger guy. He knows what he's about. There are lots of unnecessary negatives reviews about this business.Time is money. If they diagnose something for you and cannot find the problem, they will still charge you because it took them time to run diagnostics. I don't begrudge them that. If you get your check engine light light checked on your vehicle you will pay for them to plug it in and tell you what you might already now. Time is money for business'sI will continue to use Blackies because they can fix electronics whereas others will tell you to replace. My 50 year old Pioneer SA 5200 is a testimony to their work!
Emma DeVries: DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you’re looking for a scam artist go right ahead and go to Blackies business. He took advantage of my grandma multiple times knowing she had dementia and didn’t need to get her TVs fixed since they weren’t actually broken. He called her multiple times trying to “fix” her TVs and charged her over $200 dollars for a statement saying nothing is wrong with her TV. Had to threaten to get the police involved for him to stop trying to scamming and taking advantage of her.
K H.: Horrible communication! Blackie is an old rude individual. Doesn't listen on the phone, hangs up without saying goodbye, or to see if the customer has any other questions! I've brought electronics here before, but this most likely will be the last time! I brought two stereos in for repair June 8, 2020. One was fixed in a couple months...the other I'm still waiting on...here it is the first week of 2021, and no call since Oct 2020. I had to call him! "Waiting on parts from China..not getting them from supplier..." For 6 months??I had better receive a discount for my patience......🤞🏻🤞🏻Rant over.......So, here's an update --Today is Wed 2/1/23. I called Blackie yesterday and I 'TOLD' him I was coming to pick up my stereo tomorrow (today) whether it was done or not. He, of course, made up more lies and excuses as to why it wasn't done...keep in mind, my stereo was at his business since JUNE 2020!When I arrived and went in, there he was, asked what I needed and told him, very sternly, I was picking up my stereo. He asked if sometime called me...? I said "I talked to YOU yesterday, and YOU did not call me back, so here I am!" Long story long, I left there with my stereo -after checking make, model and serial number, and waiting for him to fumble around in his quite messy shop to find my stereo. Please everyone --DO NOT bring anything there! At all!I'm finally done with him, after 2 1/2 years...💪🏻And now, rant done.
David Brandon: Have not completed the service yet we will see when the work is done
Lindsay Litke: I could leave a review that spans almost two years worth of phone calls and excuses but I’ve wasted enough time on them.Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
James Martin: Blackie's scoured the world (literally from Czechoslovakia to China) during COVID (which shipping was delayed for weeks and weeks) to find a key spare part that was broken in the CD player of all three of my 30 year old boomboxes. It took two years to find and source the obscure part, starting from scratch and not knowing if it even existed. They knew how to track it down. And they stuck with it for two years. That's commitment. In most places, these boomboxes would have ended up in a city landfill. I have a lot of respect and trust for them.
Susie Bement: My friend Pete Dropped off a vintage NAD amp referbished sells for over 2000. After 3 months of excuses and said they were oob. Covid. He was telling different excuses. Calling me forgetting that he already called with another excuse! I stopped in there and chatted with him within that time during which time he bragged about how much he was selling his vintage amps for like $3,000.I popped in unannounced he had it on the counter with a paper on it quickly removed the paper. Tried to say it wasn't mine. He finally looked up my receipt and serial After glaring at him insisting it was he finally handed it over. I believe he was in the process of selling it! Never fixed it I explained to him that I had the same problem with my other NAD that I had and it cost me $40 to get it fixed he said it would cost 400. SCAM ARTIST!!!
Kathy Y: Fast and reliable service
KARLEY MCCALL: SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM !!! Do not leave anything valuable in the hands of anyone operating this business. They will not work on anything you drop off they will charge you for parts they will hold a deposit. You’ll be extremely lucky if you ever see your stuff again. Took an entire year to get my dad‘s RARE real to reel back. They never even worked on it claimed they shipped it to somebody almost lost his music!
Jacob Lammers: Gave him a 6 speaker surround sound set and he said it would take 3 weeks to get it checked out and took a deposit from me. After a YEAR of coming in and calling he still didn't remember me and never once called within a week like he said he would. WORST customer service I have ever experienced.
Matthew Lamoreaux: Find a different place! I never leave reviews on businesses but felt compelled after my experience. First, these guys are unprofessional and rush you off the phone and in person. I dropped my tv off for them to look at and asked them if they needed the power supply and they said no. They told me they would look at it that day or the next morning and give me a call. Two days go by and I never received a call. I call them and they said they needed the power supply but never called to tell me that. Who knows how long it would have sat there if I didn’t call. I bring the power supply back and they said it would be that day or the next for them to look at and they would give me a call. Another two days go by and they don’t call. I call them and they said they didn’t get a chance to look at it so it sat over the weekend. I call back on Monday and they say something about parts taking a long time to arrive but would call me back that day to give me a definitive answer on what’s going on with the tv. Well, you guessed it, they never called! I called back the next day and they say it was just a firmware issue. I get the tv back to my house and it’s still not working!! They had my tv for a week, I paid around $150 for them to do absolutely nothing. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else!!!
Jazmyn Tanis: I wasn’t even able to take my electronic in. The phone call alone was very rude and I would not trust this place with my device. Yikes.
Peter Garchow: Brought in a fish finder for repair. After a few months got a call stating I need to buy a $60 part to fix it ,so I did .After several more months and more inquiries was told they can't find it.Always the same excuses , Covid , no help ,etc.Must have repeated the description of the product at least FIFTEEN TIMES on the phone so he could look for it but after a year and a half I give up.Horrible service. Don't take anything there that you care about.
Tim Vaught: Took a Bose radio in18 months ago belonging to my 90 year old mom. Also took in my KEF subwoofer 6 months ago. I have called and stopped in numerous times. Excuses every time about no time, no parts and no help. Says he’ll check and get back to me. Never any follow up. Always cuts me off in phone conversations. Checking out my options, BBB, my attorney whatever I have to do.
Ed Hawks: Horrible Service, just like the other post. Blackie is RUDE. Hangs up on you before you even quit speaking on the phone. I stopped calling and have had to stop in every two months for the past year and always get an excuse about parts taking a long time to come in. Yesterday I checked in and he tried to end the conversation with me when someone walked in from the back. I politely said I am not finished and told him I am at a point after one year where I don't even believe he knows where my 1984 Akai Reel to Reel is. I have always been polite to and cordial to him and all I get is excuses and rudeness. I doubt I will ever see this 1984 Akai reel to reel that I purchased new at the PX while stationed in Kaiserslautern Germany. I was also charged $50 for them to look at it. Amazing. I paid $50 to have my reel to reel stolen. They probably used it for parts. I also have a friend that had the same problem. A year later she still has not got her pottery wheel back. Blackies are a rip off. Stay away.
Ernie Ostuno: I always prefer to support small, local businesses over the big box stores and when it comes to electronics repair, you really don't have much of a choice. I have been here several times over the past 20 years and have had no problems at all. Each time the item (usually a TV) was fixed in a timely manner. Here's the thing, though...you have to stop by in person to check on things or you may be waiting a long while to hear anything. I took one star off because of this inconvenience, but I understand why it is that way. Thanks to the pandemic this business, like so many others, is struggling to find help and this has caused some problems with keeping things from running smoothly. The owner knows his stuff, but he is sometimes overwhelmed by the exigencies of the job. Have some patience and take a few minutes to stop by (listen to his stories, they are what life is made of) and you should have your item fixed and ready to go in a week or two depending on availability of parts. If you have an old stereo or VCR go here...Blackies can fix just about any electronics that have been sold in the last 50 years.
Jed Galecki: Bad service. Never called to inform you what's going on with your product. They take 35 dollars to drop off and charge you more money to pick it up and fix nothing. Stay away from blackies
