Not only do they have absolutely delicious breakfast tacos, the crunchy hash browns on the CCP are a revelation! Jesse: My partner and I had wanted to check this place out since seeing the article about how the owner gave the staff a day off because of mistreatment from customers. That's the kind of place we wanna support!! So not only good people but the food was amazing. Very fresh take on tex mex and hard to choose what to get. Also the people working were so friendly and were working their butts off. We were told they were behind and it would be about 25 minutes until we got our food during Sunday brunch hours! That's super fast in my experience. Can't wait to go back and try literally everything else.

Michael Traver: We stopped at Basalt a little after noon and enjoyed a lunch of nachos and taco plates. The tacos are not your garden variety versions, but built with a blend of meats, sauces and flavors. The carnitas and chorizo versions were particularly delicious. The addition of crispy hashbrown to the chorizo taco is an inspired choice.
Benjamin Kiaunis: Awful service. It took an hour and a half to get food, while other tables were turned over quickly, including a 7 top that came 20 minutes after us. The server pretty much ignored us, and when the server came around, they were pretty rude. We had to go to the counter to ask for our food to go.The horchata french toast was a real disappointment, too. It was a bit dry and carried only a hint of spices. The eggs, at least, were properly cooked. My partner asked for a vegan Southern Bell taco and vegan mac 'n' cheese, and got the non-vegan version. She's allergic to dairy.This was a terrible experience.

Luis Ballesteros: Food is ok, green salsa has a Texan-tang, I liked that. Overpriced, $14 for beans and eggs. The rating is more on the owner, than anything else. Owner/lead chef is a bit aggressive, had just entered the shop, finishing a call, and was blasted by the owner to move, as I guess I was in their hall to the bathroom and kitchen. Mind you, it’s a big hallway, and there wasn’t much movement of folks. Either way, my bad. There’s no signage and the register is hidden behind a wall of sauce. Maybe consider a sign, order here, could be helpful. Anywho, yelling isn’t how you treat people, mate. Read other reviews, similar issues with you how you treat people. Your responses prove the point, anger never wins. Sad, as there isn’t many young Latinos doing fun things with food in this town.

Jennifer Henbest: We were in Grand Rapids today for my daughter’s field trip, and a friend recommended the Beltline Bar. My kids were hangry and tired, and this place totally hit the spot. My kids said it was the best restaurant they’ve ever been to. It’s Tex-Mex so I didn’t expect authentic Mexican food, but the flavors were great, the portions were generous, and our order was made correctly. I'm not sure what they did, but they are not the same, they are just ok now. Please go back to the way you used to make them. I don't live in GR anymore. I used to make a point to stop there when I was in town. But not anymore.

E P: This place is a gem in a sea of overpriced food stations. It's good to see that you can actually get a good deal on good food at a place like this. Have to say that everyone was super friendly here. When I placed my order I got a couple pork tacos which were probably the best pork tacos I've ever had in my life from any place ever. They're perfectly seasoned. They had all the fixings at their salsa bar that you could add to them and everyone was super polite and helpful. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on the menu next time I'm in town. I also discovered they have their own standalone stores as well, which I might go visit sometime next week. We called to let them know and they barely apologized, plus once we drove all the way back to get the rest the market was CLOSED. This is the second time in a row the order has been significantly wrong. Plus, the tortillas were grainy, there was less meat than from other locations, and overall just “meh” in flavor. Would not recommend.

Tom Pitts: I will say this isn't a standard taco truck, it's elevated Mexican cuisine that really highlights traditional flavors and recipes. I havnt had a bad thing here, and when you say "Medium" sprice, it actually packs a little gusto! The inside of the restaurant is clean as a rule, and the bar area perfect for a lunch and a beer. Highly recommend.

Sofia Baldwin: I ordered food without knowing that the items had cheese on them (which I'm severely allergic to) I called them to see if I could get my food remade at which I was told to bring them back. However, when I showed up they refused to help me figure out what to do. Instead I got told that they can't remake the food.Even though they told me they would a minute ago. When I asked for my refund back they simply said that I can't have my money back. I have worked in costumer service for 5+ years and this is the WORSE costumer service I have ever experienced. The manager didn't even try to show their face to resolve the problem. I won't be going back there again. They should be more considerate about people with allergies.

Chris Shankin: Best experience was being seated by our hostess. Every other employee in the building was higher than a kite. Wrong food came out right off the bat. Nobody checked on us after the food came out, only saw our server for drink and food orders. Manager on shift couldn’t have cared less. There was NO sense of urgency in the entire building. Not worth the overpriced drinks and basic TexMex.

Alexa Tanner: *I did edit my rating because they gave me a refund and reached out to me regarding my complaint.I would order here quite frequently because I like the Thai chili tofu. I always order on the app and go to pick them up. Every single time they are cold. Worse than that is the assembly of these tacos. I order lettuce on mine and on a number of occasions my tacos have literally had 3 small pieces of lettuce on them and a few pieces of tofu. A couple times they have been made well but too often they are thrown together with no effort. To top things off, I ordered 5 tacos today and when I opened my box once I was home there was only 4 in there.Quite disappointing as I have been a loyal customer getting these tacos a few times a month. I kept ordering because I enjoyed the vegetarian option, but the inconsistency and lack of effort has made me feel I need to go elsewhere.
