Alexandry Pena: Sadly couldn't give a proper review on food or service. We went there with a group of 8.. they said they didn't have any seating for that Large of a group. But then we noticed as we were leaving two groups of four were able to get in? Maybe it's a reservation type of restaurant and we were walk-ins in their defense.. just felt a bit brushed off but could have been other reasons too. The place did look nice and will try again sometime in the future.

Narae Yang: Had dinner here last night and it was wonderful. The host really went out of his way to find us a table even though there was initially a 45 min wait. The staff was so friendly, and the food came out so fast and was delicious! Definitely will be coming back to dine here again :)

Nathan Spratt: I've been to sister location in Ann Arbor (although 3+ years ago). Not sure if it's the location, or it's changed ownership over the years, but this was really disappointing. The Bolognese had hardly any sauce and the pasta was overcooked. The servings were much smaller, and the tiramisu was mostly whipped cream with very little coffee flavor.

A “The Administrator” H: They have a tiny parking lot, so we had to park pretty far away because all the spots were taken. They didn't have any vegan options on the menu but a few things could be tailored to be vegan. I had the broccolini and eggplant spaghetti dish. The sauce was bitter and bland and the broccolini was also very bland. Their drink selection was ok and the servers were attentive and I have no real complaints with the service. The atmosphere was ok, but not great. It was pretty dark in the restaurant and it was acceptionally cold. I have no desire to go back.Vegetarian options: They had a few vegetarian options but not really anything vegan. But you could tailor one of the dishes to be vegan.

A. T.: We ordered the Mezzaluna pasta, and pizza with artichokes. The pizza was delicious, however the pasta was very disappointing. The sauce was overpowering and acidic. We were unable to order the dessert that we wanted to enjoy with our coffee. The cappuccino was good but not outstanding. The server explained the Mezzaluna dish as stuffed shells with rin meat on top. She said it's one of her favorites, we decided to trust her recommendation. We were very surprised to receive something completely different. They were stuffed ravioli in a sauce with spinach. Very disappointed in the dish. I would've ordered something else, and I didn't want my company to feel embarrassed to talk to a manager as suggested. Elizabeth Spratt: I think the biggest issue we had was our memory of going to Palio in Ann Arbor. This one in Grand Rapids had a totally different vibe and the food was not nearly as good. If they were advertised as a wood fire pizza place who happens to serve decent pasta, I would not have been so disappointed. I got the Bolognese. Hardly any meat: micro amounts, and it was a bit dry. I asked for more sauce & they were happy to accommodate. Service was excellent. We were a party of 9. It was my birthday and Tiramisu is my absolute favorite dessert. There’s was a major disappointment. Disproportionately heavy on the whipped cream, no coffee flavor to the lady fingers, and chocolate sprinkles. It wasn’t bad, especially if you were looking for a whipped cream like dessert and not the classic tiramisu. Again, the food was good, service was outstanding- it just wasn’t the premier homemade pasta high-end Italian we were expecting.

Brandon's Equipment Videos: I was invited to dinner at Bistro Bella Vita. Upon arriving I noticed that the restaurant does have an upscale feel, as others have noted. I am more of a no frills type of guy, so I opted to order a pizza. The table next to us got a couple of pizzas, so I thought that they looked good. I ordered the sausage and fennel pizza and found the flavor to be pretty good. I sampled some of the dishes that others in my party ordered and was not overly impressed with those. I thought the rigatoni bolognese was undercooked and lacked in flavor. I enjoyed the deserts. I tried both the gelato and the tiramisu, and both were very tasty. I did not think that the service was as quick or attentive as I would have expected for this upscale of a restaurant, but it wasn’t horrible either. If you are looking for a somewhat upscale restaurant for authentic Italian food in the Grand Rapids area, this is a good bet.

Starting with the staff, working its way through the thoughtful and excellently curated wine list, to the top flight food, this place is super special.We've been there a few times with larger groups, and they're always willing to accommodate our needs (even if we tend to get a bit *ahem* rambunctious).Looking for someplace special, I cannot recommend Bistro enough. Can be tricky to get into on busier nights (read: Nights with big events downtown), so be sure to check the calendar of events before you head out. That's not their fault, obviously, but its something to be aware of. Also, like a lot of places downtown, parking can be difficult, especially in the winter with snow and whatnot.Wheelchair accessibility: Even though its up some stairs, easy ramp access, and plenty of room at the drop-off outside the restaurant. While I cannot speak to it personally since no one in our party needed one, there seems to be plenty of room to maneuver a wheelchair while in the building. Everything is fairly well spaced out, and the staff is SUPER accommodating, so I'm sure if there was a special request to help out someone in need, they wouldn't hesitate to help out where needed.

Al Damiano: My entire experience at this Olive Garden was exceptional. From the waiting area to the wonderful attentive service. It was a Friday at 6:00 PM and very crowded yet our party of three only waited about 10 minutes. The hostess was very sweet and helpful. Our waiter was at our table within 30 seconds he was very friendly and knowledgeable and extremely attentive to our needs. The drinks were out in a few minutes. The salad and soup were served very quickly. The waiter took our entree orders and before we were finished with the soup and salads we had our entrees served to us. The food was excellent from the fresh salads to the hot Shrimp Scampi. I was very impressed by the entire experience. I want to make a special acknowledgment of our waiter, Noah. He was so very attentive, helpful, and kind, I was so impressed at his ability to make us feel comfortable and treated so well.
