Nick Grutter: Jose is a very nice guy. Didn't have what we were looking for on their lot though. Very few vehicles will less than 100k miles.
Alexis Greenman: They try to cover up everything that’s wrong with the vehicle. Called ahead to ask about the vehicle I was coming to see. Was told it had very little body rust. Upon arrival found the vehicle to have significant rust on all 4 doors so bad that you could stick your whole hand through the holes. They had spray painted it with black Matte spray paint to cover it up. Also had a rather large oil leak. They were asking for well above kbb’s price for it and seemed surprised when I said I was no longer interested in the vehicle. Definitely not a place to go to.

Jaynnie Nielsen: Drove from out of state to buy a car from them. They said it had an oil change and was mechanically sound. After purchasing it, found out the oil had in fact not been changed and the transmission fluid was black! Took it to a mechanic the next day again for a shake and found that it needed $2400 in work. Not to mention that it had 4 different tires on it with different stages of wear on it. I would strongly urge you to not buy here! I paid top blue book price for a lemon!

Mandy Furrow: So I maybe 17 years late on this review, but I still feel I should tell my experience. I bought a a Chevy s10 ZR2 from John himself. I was a young single mom who put myself into debt to buy the truck of my dreams at the time. It was green and I was in love. I was nervous to say the least but I remember John telling me he was a good Christian man, he told me about the church he went to. The day I drove my truck home the transmission and heater core went out before I even made it home. I called him up and he said sorry no warranty. He wouldn't take it back nor would he pay for any of the repairs it needed. That truck put me into so much more debt because I had to trade it in for another truck. What should have been a exciting experience turned into one of my biggest mistakes financially. For a person to use religion to take advantage of a young woman is despicable. It was wrong then and it's still wrong 17 years later.

AVOID!!!This is a car dealer "expert" that will do little examination on the vehicles they obtain an the bare minimum in road worthy repairs before selling to you.I have purchased a vehicle from this dealer. With some desperation an a little to much trust for a small business with what seemed like good reviews. I ended up getting scammed at a total loss, because I should have known better. As should you google review reader.This dealer is fraudulent and unfortunately well within MI used car dealer laws.I'm sure they'll make up some "customer service" respons. That excuses them from screwing me out of thousands and stranded on the south side of Chicago.
Jo Lewis: My brother bought a car here a few years back. Ed was awesome! I was looking for a vehicle. so of course this was the 1st place i looked! Ed sold me a pretty rare vehicle. i thought i hit the jackpot till i drove it home. come to find out it had a blown head gasket. and it was a piece of junk. they only made them for one year! Ed was gonna help me fix it till we found out it was way too much. He gave me my money back and called it good! Ed is a stand up guy even though he claims he doesnt know much about the car ur buying. just make sure you get it checked out real good!

She was interested in test driving 3 different vehicles, but was given the impression that she was wasting the salesman's time after test driving one of the 3 vehicles. "Why should we drive the next one if you will not purchase it". She was treated like she was some dumb blonde that didn't know anything about cars. On the test drive, the salesman was surprised that she wanted to test the vehicle on the highway. In her words, she felt like she was treated like a child. Will not recommend MWS to anyone searching for a vehicle.

ND R: UPDATE: Please read the owners response from my review and it will validate the poor review. There was no customer service given other than sending a Carfax (after asking twice for it) and emails that said "call me" after I clearly communicated that wasn't possible during business hours. In his response he also states he had to get a 3rd row seat which he would have known about before pricing the vehicle. He then states the price was raised because he had a lot of interest. That's not how you do business. This confirms my previous review - shady business practices. Beware!Terrible customer service is not a strong enough statement. They had a vehicle I was very interested in but since I am over an hour away, I emailed them for more details. I wrote a detailed email asking for additional pictures (there were very few interior pictures posted), the Carfax and any other background info they could give me. I got a response that said "it's a nice vehicle when can you come drive it?" That's it. I responded I couldn't anytime soon and asked for the info again. Crickets...nothing. After a couple days, I tried looking up the owner and emailed that address. I got a response saying for me to call. I responded I wasn't able to during normal business hours. At least he sent the Carfax. The next day, they RAISED the price by $1000. Read that again, they RAISED the price. A bit shady don't you think? I never received additional pictures or any other information. I would be wary of doing business with them, there are several red flags. Bad business practices, bait and switch, back door dealings....something is off about this dealer. Be very careful if you are dealing with them for any reason
eaglegrad 16: Family referral sent me to test drive a Malibu and a Buick. The Malibu had obvious suspension issues. Pulled left and a bad front wheel bearing. The Buick was the big winner. Or least it seemed until we popped the hood to inspect and the prop arms were damaged or broken. I had to hold it up while my personal mechanic checked the engine block which had fluid leaks all around the intake, and fluid stains down the side. A hefty $700-$1000 repair. Their Tech was either off duty that day or slacked on inspection.

Mark is very knowledgeable and both he and Dave are genuine and best of all, not pushy. They don’t hover over you like other sales people, which I can’t stand. Dave and his team have always given me honest advice, great service and fair prices. They even have loaners or are willing to offer you a ride if a loaner isn't available.
Mike Michaels: This review is after a few years of ownership. Do not buy from these guys unless you can take the car to an independant mechanic for an inspection. Bought a money pit SUV with something breaking once a month on average. Most their vehicles are auction vehicles from Canada which are known to be super rusty. Will not be buying again and would not recommend.

This last time they finally had to remove the entire engine block only to find out that Select Auto sold me a vehicle with a totaled motor, there is no way they did not know about the issues the vehicle had seeing is the brother told me personally that he had been driving the car for 2 weeks himself. If your a first time buyer like I was all I can say is to please stay far away from him an his brother. They own more then just Select Auto so please do your due diligence before purchasing. I am filing a civil suit I have others that want to be a part of it. If you have documentation showing all the issues and work done after purchasing from Select Auto and you want to do everything in your power to keep others from making the mistake we did. LMK

Alex Anguiano: I thought this was a nice place to get a car, I purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee last month, ever since then I’ve had nothing but problems with it, the car was cleared of codes the first day I bought it, 2 days after the purchase, engine light came on, tire pressure came in blinking, my car starting shaking very roughly and the electric throttle control light came on and stopped the car while accelerating…On top of that they give you a no warranty for 30 after purchasing the vehicle for i don’t know what reason if every dealership gives you the first 30 days to bring back the car if anything happens to it. They said that whatever happens to the car before 30 days then it’s on me to pay for repairs, and I’m not gonna let my car sit here any longer and let more parts of it go to waste. Service was nice and all but I’d rather them be more honest professionals, this is my only car and now I can’t even drive it without it stopping me in the middle of the road
Richard Vanbaren: They do not thoroughly check the vehicles before selling them and are straight up dishonest about the condition they’re in. Choose a different dealer if you don’t want a headache along with your vehicle
Wanted Button: They told me to let them hold 1k until I get approved and said the 1k is 100% refundable than when I asked for my money back they refused to give it to me staff is nice until you decide not to buy a car than they get very rude and hostile don’t buy here

Krista Mathews: I was looking for a new suv a couple weeks ago and I checked out this place. Unfortunately the staff were pretty rude and even though they did act like they would help me they tried to tell me my credit score was way lower than it actually was, and tried to get me into a outrageous payment and we’re going to force me to get there warranty! After spending two nights and a tank of gas going there they put me in a vehicle to test drive and my mechanic found that the vehicle was already falling apart and needed work. After they wasted my time I decided to check out Good Motor Company and they helped me get into my Jeep and got me into a payment I can afford.

Kyle Dewey: My girlfriend and I have purchased 2 cars in the last 6 months. One came from another dealership and was one of the worst experiences of my life so going into this dealership I was guarded and skeptical. It turned out to be an extremely easy process and the best experience I've ever had buying a car. Joel was fantastic from start to finish. The car was purchased on a Friday and I chose an interior protection package that needed to be applied and it was ready the next morning. I had also chosen another package that required and install. The car was dropped off first thing in the morning, my girlfriend was brought to work, and Joel dropped the car back off to her at her work. Fantastic customer service and everything was seamless from start to finish. If you're in the market for a new to you car, definitely go see Joel and let he and the team take care of you.

Jay McGee: So in November of 2021 I started looking for a car to purchase and I had a few on my list. One of which was a 2016 Chevy Malibu. I contacted Berger in regards to a car that they had in stock via email, and received a reply very quickly saying that they had two in stock and one that was being shipped to the dealership very soon. Each of the cars were supposed to be a midnight blue color, and I was excited. I tried to set up a time to do a test drive and was paired with a rep named Martin Rudolph. Martin told me that the other two Malibu's weren't ready despite the previous rep telling me they were and that I could test drive them. And he repeatedly came up with excuses. Now my full first name is of a particular background from Africa, and at a certain point I had to ask myself if it was due to that despite the Martin guy never having meet me. The only other possible issue it could have been was the fact that I was pre-approved for a loan through a company he didn't want to use. In either case the experience was horrible, a repeated waste of my time as I tried to work this out with the guy for weeks. And to this day it still leaves me sour.In the end I went to Harvey Automotive and found the car that I wanted. The dealers at Harvey were very happy to work with me. I got a Hyundai Sonata for the same price with under half the mileage that was on the Malibu. Great team over there and Joel Ezinga was awesome to work with. They made everything so easy. I got my vehicle with in a day or two of contacting them. It was a light and day difference and probably one of the best car buying experiences that I have had.

They express how everything takes time yet it took them 30 minutes to get me into a 2016 car and literally drive off there lot. They act like they care up until u get the car. tony gates: I went to Harvey in search of the perfect truck. I told them what I didn’t want. How I use my truck and the payment I was looking for. I got a call an hour later, approved at a great rate and they found 5 different trucks for me to look at. I picked one, they weren’t happy with the tires as it was a 2016 but still low miles so they called and explained the situation. I was waiting for them to tell me I needed to buy new tires, instead they told me they ordered a new set at no extra charge. It went through a complete inspection, they detailed it and I am extremely happy with my new truck. I call it Babe the Blue Ox ala Paul Bunyan. It’s big, bad and a rockin’ blue! A great experience start to finish from Harvey Automotive!

Matt D: Purchased my car in December 2018, for $7-8000, which is a higher price than most of the cars on their lot, because it was a newer model. I thought I was getting a decent deal... First week: Alternator and battery went out ($400). Two months later the timing chain ($2000) needed to be rebuilt, Two months later the AC went out ($1000). The engine now needs to be completely replaced. Summary: They sell junk here, don't spend more than $2000 on taped together vehicles.
