justin johnson: We went here for the first time but had an issue at the end that spoiled the experience.First, the work area was great and it felt good to be there. When you walk in, there is a sign to welcome you, but no receptionist. No map to where the space is. No explanation of where the bathrooms are or that you need a code to access them. It's written "Bathroom: 92640" on the whiteboard in the room, but no indication of what that means. The staff poked her head in at the very beginning of the session to say Hello, but didn't offer any other instructions or advice.Noon came and went with no lunch delivered. When I went to the hallway to see where the food was, it was sitting outside the door. It would have been nice to have that explained beforehand, or even a discrete knock. There were a couple parking validation tickets on the top of the lunch box but it wasn't until I saw an email after lunch that I realized what it was. I suggest they be placed in a clearly labeled envelope or something rather than just set on top of the lunch.But the real problem was when we left. We parked on the surface lot, that said "parking for 99 Monroe". When we went to use the validation tickets, they were rejected. I called the young lady and explained the issue. She said "you should have parked in the Campau Garage as it said on the estimate."I examined that it's unclear and perhaps the confirmation email should have a map or a picture of the correct garage to use. She insinuated that I should just pay the parking bill myself, and I said this wasn't the only confusing part of the experience (despite the fact we'd had a very good experience up to that point). The woman said "I know you were trying to get a lot done and weren't able to ask about how the bathrooms work."So that's called blaming the customer for poor customer service. There wasn't even an "I'm sorry for the confusion." I was told that it was my fault for not knowing what I didn't know and not asking for clarification.The experience is not well set up for new users. It's my suggestion, if Custer isn't going to position a receptionist at the front of the office, to implement some better visual management at the front of the office and perhaps put a simple 8.5x11 "users guide" inside each workspace. Even the cheapest hotels have a little book of info on each nightstand. A company like Custer, who designs office and work experiences and is a vendor for world-class brands, should do a better job improving the user experience at their own office site.We initially enjoyed the experience but the customer service side left a bit to be desired.
