Michael Waldron: This is the best youth agency in town working with the homeless community.
Hector Grande: Amazing place and amazing people
April Morris: They have some really good services for young adults but some of the staff could use a personality check.

Jay “Kozmic” Rogers: Positive energy and the vibes took the roof off the place
antonio lopes: This program is the best for people who have moved many times. , I mean don't have a specific place to live ,
Monique Williams: It was good
Chriswick Boseman: It's a place if u need to be fed or clothed. Not much of the materials you would WANT but things you would NEED if u were homeless or a runaway. They keep your information confidential ex (secrets or issues you have, state id birth certificate) and any thing else stored and put away. Very safe feeling environment and plenty of smiling faces. Internet there to get on and supplies for school and job applications for you to choose with the help of staff. Staff have great resources to help you with jobs or personal documents. And a 30 day bus pass system for you to earn everyday by doing "chores".
Barbara Jowers: Very friendly and helpful staff and Dr.
Chelsea Hill: Great work, very nice facility, much needed services in GR
Eric Boda: They are always nice, I feel comfortable while I'm there. They are respectful and they work with me and my needs.

YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids: what do users think?
William Bennett: They try to do everything without doing any one thing well.
Dohey Joenuts: My six year old boy and I love playing racquetball, and we’ve tried multiple times to play at this YMCA after school. I stopped by earlier in the day to sign up for a court, 4 o’clock is the only time we can really play because he’s a child and can’t stay up late after school. When we showed up for our court, five minutes in a league player came and tried to kick us out. I told him we had signed up, he came back five minutes later with the staff and told us we had to stop. They let us play on the squash court, but it was pretty frustrating. Now I come to sign up again, and they say , the leagues, get all the courts at 4 o’clock for the rest of the day. Now I have to disappoint my son, due to changing standards, and miscommunication. The staff today was not very enthusiastic about trying to figure it out, or help us out at all either. I was assured after the first incident that leagues wouldn’t start till later, so that kids would get a chance to play.
Becky G: Cons: no towels, closed rock climbing wall, closed waterslides, app they use isn't available, found 3 large floating clumps of curly hair swirling around in the hot tubPros: 2 pools so kids don't get in the way of laps, good parking options, kids have own locker rooms (although one mom brought her son into womens), plenty of room to change, swimsuit dryer, they have a variety of workout accessories you can borrow
Ed Bowen: Staff is phenomenal especially front desk group. Very nice large facility. Walking and running track has decent views on all four sides. Tons of equipment and free weights. Cardio stuff too. Big lockers with shelves in men's locker room. Locker room has decent space between rows and no terminal rows.
Natalie Killingstad: Love the facility, but not enough parking. Without a parking attendant they can’t control the giant trucks that park in the lot, take up 2 spaces and stick out into the lanes waiting to be grazed by passing cars. The front desk says nothing they can do. Apparently they aren’t concerned with the safety of their members.
Leandro Binuya: Dirty lockers, filthy whirlpool (watch out for burning smell of chlorine and floating brown filth in the water), not very friendly staff, overcrowded, and overpriced (for the condition of the facility). I do NOT recommend. Planet fitness is cheap and doesn’t have all the amenities but at least they are very clean!
Joe Brinkman: Men’s steam room is so dialled down it’s a wet drip rooom ooollll ooooo
John Donaldson: Great gym good views while you exercise way more options than planet fitness and a real judgement free atmosphere best gym in the city down at the best gym enjoying the new equipment real nice happy Thanksgiving 💯💫💚🐍⛎👑
James w. Lanning: Excellent gym for a variety of people, whether you are into freeweights, group fitness, swimming, or if you have kids. I work out in the early morning. Parking is plenty, not too busy on the free weight floor, and I can do any workout routine I can think of. My only complaint is the dumbbells. 45% of the dumbbells are over 60lbs and virtually never get touched, while the dumbbells in the 20-45lb range are fought over like candies from a piñata. That setup could benefit from a data-oriented redesign. Men's locker room is a bit outdated but functional. There is no towel service. This gym pops off at about 5-5:30, if you work out during that time it will be nearly impossible to find a parking spot, though you could find street parking if you are still down for braving the herd of bros fighting over the dumbbells.
Daniel Crawford: Took my wife and two young kids to the aquatic center because of the water slide. They said they’d open it at 7. Then 7 comes around. They said they didn’t have enough lifeguards. Mind you they had at least 3 and I believe I saw a 4th. And there was no reason for the lap pool to be open. Multiple disappointed kids. Seems like the high school lifeguards didn’t feel like running the slide.
Robert Kennedy: Very inconsistent & inconvenient operating hours. No Covid anymore get it together & update your web page when you decide to close early.
minzz: It's a great place to workout, play basketball, swim, volleyball, and lots more
James Allen: GREAT people, great atmosphere.
David Brown: YMCA is not what is used to be... they reduced childcare significantly, reduced their facility cleaning (the place is so dirty) and they took away the towels! All while raising prices!Try going to the pool as a family with kids... bringing home a bag full of wet towels is miserable. They say this is due to to COVID... yet I have not seen a single employee wear a mask in months.
Selah Hadley: it’s good here but the rowing machines absolutely suck. i’m a rower and i really need a place to stay in shape and a rowing machine is the best thing to do but none of them turn on so i can’t track any information/speed while i’m rowing. really hope you guys can fix this, im begging you lol 😔
Sarah Harrison: As a family with 3 small children we joined mostly for the shallow splash pad and waterslide. After joining we found out the waterslide has been permanently closed for years. There is no longer towel service either. Huge pain for big families with small kids. We were so disappointed. Also the vending machines only take cash. Other YMCAs take cards too. Looks like if you join for exercise classes its great. A whole 2nd floor of them. And the gym is ok.
None Sampson-Lyke: I simply love this place in downtown Grand rapids. I could swim or ride their bikes all day long 24 today 7 days a week. I'm not embarrassed to say that I'm a larger person but I did not feel down upon which is unusual considering most people do that. Anyway I love swimming and like I said and except for the price of it I would be a member for life. But I'm a disabled social security recipient and I can't afford what they charge a month even at a discount I think their lowest price is $52 a month. At any rate if you can afford it go and have a good time swim all you want so you can't swim anymore I love it
Tommy Hilfiger: Diverse range equipment nice atmosphere
Shelby Denhof: I've been going to this gym for three years. It's a big space with all the machines and equipment one may need. I've always felt comfortable there as a woman exercising solo.
greg clay: New to the area , 1st impressions nice clean fit gym, a temple to the fit!
Le Vo: DONT COME HERE! The heat in the building is crazy. I get it, it’s winter but compared to the other locations this downtown one feels like a sauna everywhere. You will be sweating like a pig. 5 to 20 lbs dumbbells are very old and the accessories for cable machines are old as well.

Wedgwood Christian Services: what do users think?
Madison Follett: i was in wedgwood from when i was 16 to my 19th birthday, it was the only time in my life i was/felt important and appreciated, i get emotional sometimes thinking about how lucky i was to have been placed here, i have been going thru a lot sense i left almost 2 years ago but i thank everyone at wedgwood for placing a healthy foundation that i wasn’t used to and for it being based about Christ bc toward the end of my stay i decided i needed to live for Him, i was really struggling when i first left but them placing the foundation of Christ that lead me to deciding to follow Him ended up saving my life, thank you guys for being the family i never had. i miss that feeling and will never forget the love y’all showed me. ❤️‍
Rylee Fleitz: I lived in Wedgwood for a while 4 years ago. As a kid I thought that the place was terrible. That the staff didn’t understand. That the food wasn’t good. LORD WAS I WRONG!! After being placed in other residentials I soon realized that Wedgwood is the resident that treated me the best. The place is amazing AND CLEAN the staff made sure we kept up with it thank you guys. The staff did understand and truly cared about us I deeply appreciate y’all. And the food welllll if you were in Antonini then you were blessed with staff who knew how to season food y’all are amazing. I miss you guys so much I hope you’re all doing good. Thank you for your love and support. Btw I have a group chat with about everyone I was there with. Gotta support and uplift eachother ❤️
A D: They never pick up the phone idk why they even have one been trying to get meds and can't because they don't ever pick up I'm about to go elsewhere
Laura Turner: I don't think it's right if grandparents send a gift to child resident and this facility withholds as a punishment. Holding back the love parents and grandparents share with them. Totally wrong. The child should receive the gift. What kind of people run this place. Im a Christian I would never do this
Gush Ball: This place would be better to work at if there were an organized union to allow collective bargaining for the employees. They cut hazard pay and said they’d reinstate it if they got a second PPP loan. They did not.
Tiffanie Lacey: I lived here for 3 years. Do not recommend 😱😶‍🌫️😬
Georgia Cotter: I went for substance abuse when I was 17 in 2016! Wedgwood was a great place for rehabilitation. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for youth. I am coming up on 4 years clean from any substance use at all in august of 2021!
Dian Podpolucki: My name is Dawn valmassei and I used to live at Wedgwood. I am thankful for all the help and support I got from the staff. It was my choice to leave
Antoine Neal: I just want to profess my sincere gratitude to Wedgewood and its staff members especially Kevin Vandenbosch for the positive influence it had on my life. They taught me what family was and that I was lovable and my life meant something.I also want to thank Vivian for allowing my wife and daughters to attend the lives transformed fundraiser with me where I could not only express my gratitude but show what a wonderful life i have now. I wouldn't be where I am today without the amazing life skills and guidance I received from Wedgewood and its staff. You guys are truly Angel's on earth. -Antoine Neal
Jonah Barnes: Wedgwood is a beautiful, christian, faith based facility. Working miracles from the inside. After spending over a year in there care I am a recovered alcoholic and drug abuser. It's been over 2 years since I've been in a physical altercation. I have been able to build a positive relationship with myself, with my family, new found friends and with god. I am a hard worker, an active member in my church and NOW I'm a mentor to others:) wedgwood took me off the streets and into the hands of God.
tenchimasake: I lived here from mid-2010 - early 2011 at the Zondervan home via Michigan DHS. This may sound like either a lifetime ago or a couple years ago although to me, now in my mid-20s this was not that long ago, especially not counting all that has happened in my life since then. The staff I knew at the time were excellent, Christian, dedicated to helping and befriending troubled youth and introducing them to Jesus Christ, and able to deflect the stress caused by their jobs. Some of them had worked for Wedgwood since the mid-90s. Unfortunately I cannot attest to their quality as of 2018, 8 years later -- some staff left while I was there, some have left their positions, the kids have aged out; I've even heard of one of my co-residents who passed away sadly. However, I feel like enough time has passed that I can evaluate what I experienced. Do your research, but I experienced excellent care at Wedgwood Christian Services. I would work here, even.
La: Im 14 years old and have been going to consoling for 3 years now. I really don't understand where all of these complaints are coming from. They have a strict no smoking indoors rule and a lot more to make it feel safe. My consoler is very kind and I depend on her a lot. The trick is just finding someone you like and can open up to, not hating on a whole company if you had one bad experience then stop coming .
Jeffery Wright: The West buildings constantly smell like weed.
Cambles Soup: Staff Tracie Stempein at Vanderark was on central registry and they still hired her. AND I was leaving from visting my child by VA and found marijuana cigarettes right by the building.
Veela Knites: Half of the staff who works there arnt even Christian and some of them don’t believe in God. It’s sad for a place like this to be tarnished by some of the staff. From personal experiance I heard workers curse at children and tese them on how the children behave. It seems like there is no LOVE there but more like a holding place. When my kid went there he told me he would be better off home then ever going there. My child was missing extra meds out his bottle also I was told that staff didn’t have time to listen to his issues. I’ve talk to a few staff and one lady from there off campus said my kid wouldn’t be there if I was a better parent!!!! It’s not Wedgwood it self but the staff but as long the staff are there they do represent how Wedgwood is looked at. I pray it becomes a better place.
Patricia Nelson: Thank God for Wedgewood.! The highly skilled and friendly counselors here saved my family! They patiently, professionally and compassionately walked my adopted child through the trauma of adoption and other issues and stood by us encouraging us along the way. They also helped our other kids deal with the negative impact of living with a person who has experienced trauma. We are all stronger because of it and we would have given up if it weren't for our awesome counselors. Appointments were always on time. Office staff was always courteous and helpful. I've been all over the city looking for quality care and educated counselors. I'm so glad we found Wedgwood.
Luis TV: Okay So I Honestly Didnt Like The Staff Because They Were Rude And The Consuler I Had Had Me Waiting 3 Weeks 2 Go Home And Zondervan House Is So Disgusting.
Connie Hull: My Husband and I went here about a year ago. He finally agreed to marriage counseling. unfortunately the female counselor we had tended to favor everything my husband had to say and dismissed all of my issues. She thought she was helping so he would continue to cone. However I always felt awfull when we left. So we quit going and now my husband refuses any counseling. We are still together but still have the same problems. However the lady at the front desk was always so nice and kind.
Melinda Kondracki: My daughter became mentally unstable while staying at their respite house. The therapist put her on suicide watch. 4 hrs later she was found hanging in the closet. Thankfully she is ok medically but she should not have had access to anything that she could hurt herself with while on watch.
Jimaine Wilson: I lived there at a time in late 90s
Renecka Carter: As a teenager I was placed in this program and if so I would really love to find some of my friends that I made there we were really close and looked out for each other and I have searched for their names on Facebook and haven't been able to find them this place back then when I was 14 it was a really good program they tried to help build confidence in us some of the people wasn't there for the children someone there for a paycheck but the home I was in it was more like independent living we got to fix our own meals we went to school off campus or on campus we had privileges we had to beyond a certain level to be able to leave on our own and go places like the shopping mall it has its effects is just on how you use them in what you're striving for
