ChinkY Witherspoon aka Daisy: Thankfully I didn’t stay at this place, but I called to check what weekly rates were and to see if they were pet friendly because I have two service dogs. The person that answered the phone was not only not professional but wanted to ask very personal questions about my federally licensed dogs. And they also sound like they were under the influence. This definitely does not sound like somewhere where you would want to take your kids or service pets. Never have I ever seen such prejudice
Kathy Collingham: I keep calling (and going there) to see if there are any rooms available for the weekly rate, but every time I call or go up there the woman at the desk is extremely rude. I have no idea why, but it's poor customer service
Siempre Brilla: Stay here once with a friend. Left early due to conditions of the room. Not my kind of place but if you absolutely need a room for cheap I guess it’ll do.Plus seeing the owners responses to reviews says a lot about the type of people who run this place. Their responses are rude. Clearly they are offended by some peoples experiences and instead of apologizing and attempting to make things better, they deny accountability.

Mold in the bathroom and in the bath tub.Staff was very rude to the males that were with us.Oh and there was a raid while we were there, management didn't have a clue it was going down the police didn't communicate with the hotel at all. What a town!!!

John Deer: Nice Rooms. BUT don't count on a fun family time swimming. The pool area is small, plus nobody watches their kids. Teenagers act like a pack of wild dogs in the pool splashing and diving and nobody supervises there children in the pool.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Ion Hunter: Down side, no maid service unless 5 day or more stay. Food is 3 Stars and on the high side.Noteworthy details: Sliding bathroom doors are heavy without a knob, and maybe difficult for some. Nearly every light is motion activated, annoying in the night.
Katrina Dixon: Room was roomy and cleanStaff was polite and friendly
Jason Lee Richert: Got shifted to here when work could not get me in where they were going to put me originallyThis is a much nicer place to stayStaff i interacted with was fairly friendlyI thought my room would have been cleaned while I was out for work but it wasn't, I guess I had to request it???Would recommend this placeRooms: Nice rooms very spacious

Adria Klucarich: I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room was spacious and very clean, everything seems fairly new. The front desk staff were really nice and efficient. The hotel gym is SO nice, lots of brand new equipment, spacious, again very clean. The pool and hot tub were nice as well, often crowded but I was there over a weekend. The bartender was wonderful and so friendly, and they offer some local Michigan beers on tap. The food at the restaurant was also quite good! Location wise, it's right off the highway which is nice, and about 15 minutes drive to downtown Lansing. There are also lots of chain/fast food restaurants quite close to the hotel, which is convenient. I would recommend this hotel!

atalaya hill: It kind of throws you off because you have to pay extra for the breakfast. If you buy the Hilton honors charge it to your room to insure that you don't get charged twice. They brought a bill to the table for $69. When you check out it was cover by the honors program.Noteworthy details: The hot tub gets cleaned Monday morning so its cold for a few hours after cleaning.
James redneck: Very clean, nice rooms, friendly staff, quiet rooms, indoor pool, workout room, conference rooms, fireplace....great place to stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value, High-tech …More
Kathryn Foster: Compared to another hotels, I got a good bang for my buck. In town to visit my young grandchildren 3 & 5 year olds, we had plenty of in-room space.A nice pool, was on the smaller size but made it easier to keep a closer eye on our little ones. A nice hot tub but sometimes several kids came in without supervision.Rooms: Very nice, well appointed.
Ryan Green: We stayed here for a convention over the weekend in Lansing. We really enjoyed this hotel. It was very clean, updated and had more amenities than most. We had one of the ladies at the front desk bring us up an extra pillow and she was so kind that she even brought us up extra snacks and waters for free. We have never had this happen before at any other hotel. We had breakfast at the restaurant hotel & it was very tasty. Best breakfast potatoes we have ever had! The hotel is conveniently located close to the highway and shopping/restaurants and the price was fair compared to some of the other comparable hotels. Loved our stay!

Holiday Inn Express & Suites East Lansing, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Antoinette Collins: I was so very pleased with this hotel. Breakfast was awesome!! Staff worked so hard to please. Clean rooms and lobby. Would stay again.Walkability: Close to restaurants and stores
Krysta S: This is the first time I have ever left a review after a hotel stay but this warranted one. The room was visibly nice and that’s as good as it got. Staff was rude, the tv in my room didn’t work, and I got bed bug bites from my stay. The fire alarm was set off Sunday morning and continued to go off for about hour before anything was done. Nothing was done when these concerns were brought to management.
Jeremy Wicks: My wife and I stayed here one night, and I would not stay here again. The hotel has an overwhelming smell of chlorine and bug spray. Additionally, the floors are disgusting, there were dirty towels left in our room, dried toothpaste on the bathroom door, and the front desk staff were unprofessional.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More
cathleen paciello: Wonderful visit. Friendly, helpful staff. Cecilia the mrg immediately helpful with the guest washer. Bill was simply amazing! An older guy that takes great pride in the breakfasts he makes. Homemade potatoes, eggs, bacon. Not boxed or frozen things! Clean room. Fresh lemon water in the lobby was an appreciated touch. I would come back here.
Taylor Family: April 2023 is apparently very different from prior times (lookin from looking at older reviews). We booked two rooms for our family for a basketball tournament. The entire team stayed here and we all were highly impressed with the staff. Our young men all felt that they were treated professionally, even though they are teenagers. They had a great time playing in the (small) warm (enough) pool. Team meetings were held in the lobby, where seating was ample and comfortable. The beds were firm, so if you like a firm mattress, you will like these. The pillows were soft and not super poofy/thick… Very good quality! Climate control was easy. The shower was heavenly, with ample water spray and lots of hot water (good for sore muscles after lots of basketball). The bathrooms are newly renovated, except for the tubs themselves, which do show some wear. We really appreciated having a bathtub though. Dove products are provided and were very nice.Rooms and hallways all have new carpeting and look and smell good. This was a very clean hotel. We appreciated the fridge and microwave in each room as well. The breakfast was delicious. There was fresh fruit, fresh cinnamon rolls, pancakes, bagels & cream cheese. The eggs and omelettes were quite tasty and did the job. I don’t eat meat, but the kids tore up the bacon and sausage! And, of course, they had cereal. Orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, and apple juice were all delicious options for drink.I felt I got a lot for my money and would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Alicia Rivera: Tried calling to reserve and the person who answered was a bit rude and hard to understand. We ended up just driving to the hotel and getting a room there instead of booking a room ahead of time. The worker at the front desk was super helpful. The room was very nice. Veery nice. Very homey. Definitely would stay here again if I passed through the area.
B. Andrew James: We had a very nice overnight stay. Very quiet and peaceful.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More

jamie pierce: Was here for an out of town work meeting, meeting room was small we had roughly 18 people 4-6 tables an we was all cramped together and it was overly warm in there. They did have a somewhat decent breakfast for us the bacon was great.
Penny Bair: Nice to wake up to hot breakfast
MICHAEL MACIEJEWSKI: I don't know if this was the hotel we stayed in whatever hotel it was nice it was not I've never been there before I would like to swim in the pool great breakfast I like the room that was quite comfortable nice TV everything was really nice about I expected a bigger shower but out of the mat not bad place I would go there again if my friend would put me up there again
Ari D: I should have slept in my car. And since more words are needed to post allow me to elaborate:I reserved a king room for my stay. When we got there the guy on duty…. Let’s just say he likely is VIP at the dispensary but whatever the level under completely unhelpful is. He didn’t greet us & we were given a room on the first floor. I asked if they had any higher floors available and his response was “No” and he turned around. We went to our room which ended up being a handicapped room….. the bathroom was not clean, there was hair on the shower wall, the blackout curtains didn’t work so it was blacked out our entire stay ( we were later told that the batteries had been on back order). The breakfast was terrible, I should have just put ketchup on the snow. I have never seen such a terrible Holiday Inn Express. I do have observations about our handicapped room. 1) Why is the soap dispenser high on the wall in a handicapped room? If I am in a wheelchair I can’t get up there & wash my hands 2) If I am handicapped & in a wheelchair, how does one utilize the mounted microwave? Just eat it cold huh?I spoke with another woman there the next day who said she was a manager. She knew exactly who the worker whowas too high to care was & promised me that Blake would call me. This stay was 11/18/22 & I still haven’t heard from Blake
Blake V: Not bad, but not great.Pros-Room and bed were awesome. Spacious and bed was super comfy.-breakfast is on par for the price. Pancake machine broken.-Staff was friendly.-Toilets.Cons-No hot tub. Boo.-Lots of dings, scrapes, and dents throughout space. Floor in bathroom swelled when showering, causing door to jam and become inoperable. Cost cutting is an obvious priority.

Crystal Diliberti: 3 adults and infant and a 16 month old for 4 days. Not one time did our room get cleaned nor did they bring us fresh linens or bath towels. I literally went and asked for a vacuum and trash bags along with fresh towels and washclothes. We were there for our sons wedding and they didn't make our stay as nice as it should have been. I love IGH but I'm not sure about staying here again.

Jodi Hostetter: I, unfortunately, am leaving a bad review. The hotel was excellent as well as the staff. My poor review is due to the price gouging this company thinks is ok. I understand it’s a business but what they were trying to charge me was unacceptable. I stayed there for college move in and paid approximately 135 per night. Because there is a MSU football game, which I’m not even attending, they were going to charge me almost 800 for two nights!! This is disgusting. I spoke with several people and explained my situation and their response is “we are stern with pricing and we have to make money because of Covid”. Absolutely unfair and I won’t stay there again. If management thinks this is acceptable then, no thank you. You don’t need my business. I found an air bnb for 88 dollars total vs almost 800!!! Shame on you holiday inn and your corporate greed!!!
Jim Jensen: 3 nights for a wedding nearby. Very clean everywhere. Nice outdoor patio, pool and typical breakfast. Awesome staff and restaurants nearby.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kevin Garcia: NOT BUS FRIENDLY: they won't accommodate late checkout for the drivers. Sleep Inn: what do users think?
S. M. Omar Sharif: I have never seen such kind of hotel. We visited last week and the room wasn't ready even at 7pm. There was only one staff who had to do all job. We struggled to get a room. Every room they tried to assign us had issues whether on washroom or sync or a/c. We switched the room 3-4 times. Wasted 3 hours infront of the receiption. The supervisor (GM) named Sam seemed like stupid and had no idea what to do and whats going on in the hotel. He promissed to refund the fare because of that when we just inform him about to complaint to the owner but he left without informing us. Even the Manager who worked in after shift did not have any idea or information about the refund. Also, the workers and receptionist has no professionalism even the Supervisor as well. I believe they have no education about hotel managementb or never worked in any customer service organization. I hope this comment would catch the eyes of the owner or higher management. Its my responsibility to aware the customers to choose this hotel. Hope this help.
G Thomas: I rarely write reviews but here goes. We stay here regularly because we used to live nearby and still have family in that area. The staff is always nice and friendly, so I can't imagine that if you did take issue with something they would not have tried their best to resolve it for you. We have two pups that we travel with, and you can walk them on lit sidewalks and there is plenty of grassy area for them. The best bar/supper club in the Madison area is a few blocks away (Toby's), so if you want a great Wisconsin old fashioned and amazing fish fry, you need to try it. The hotel isn't perfect, and could probably use a bit of extra TLC as it's aging, but for the price and convenient location to the city, it is a gem. If you come on a busy weekend, expect to pay a higher rate. That's just the way the economy works!
Ivy mlp: Rooms ok for one night would not want to stay longer. No working vending machines or late night snacks available.Rooms: Outdated and the one I had the toilet rocked loudly whenever I used it. Bed was hard and pillows were too soft but it did the job for a one night stay.Food & drinks: The one snack vending machine was out of order.
Kimberli House: I stayed here one night a few weekends ago. It was lovely! The room and bathroom were clean. I loved the shower stall. It was big and the shower head was nice. (It's the little things, you know?)My expectations for the breakfast were very low frankly, like maybe some toast and cereal. However, the spread was impressive! There were tiny egg & cheese omelettes, oatmeal, toast, English muffins, bagels and cream cheese, a variety of yogurt cups, pastries, bacon, and more things I can't remember. I stuffed myself to an embarrassing degree. Also, Traci and Monica were the staff members we interacted with. They were absolutely lovely! I couldn't have asked to have nicer or more helpful people at the hotel. They both deserve raises because we could tell that they were working their bums off, but they made everything look easy.I recommend this hotel quite highly. One tip, though: bring your own snacks and beverages. The snack vending machine was broken, and the beverage machine wouldn't take our cash. There was a mini fridge in our room. This doesn't change my opinion of the hotel, though.

Judith House: This Sleep Inn should be MORE than 2 stars! The ladies and gentleman, in particular, couldn't have been more kind. The room was very inviting, very clean and the breakfast was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!! Quite a selection. Wish we had a reason to spend another night just for this meal!! If you are looking for a very nice place to stay, this is the location. You won't be disappointed. The price was extremely reasonable.
Youa Her: We stay 2 nights during mid March. The lady in the front was easy to work with. She didn't have problems with making changes or updating our stay. Price is not bad. We paid $82 per night. Linda Belkholm: Booked the room ahead of arrival. Checked in at 10:30pm hoping to sleep and room was so cold we sat with our coats on for the first 45 minutes. It took until 3am for the room to get to a comfortable temperature. Cleanliness was no better than a C- or D. One of the worst hotel stays we've had.
Annelise Maradah: Had such a great experience here! Very friendly and professional staff, both on the phone and in person at the counter! Very clean facility!!! Free breakfast🍳☕🍞! And the foods not too shabby either! I didn't try out the shower 🚿 but the bed was clean and comfy! I would recommend!!!
Justin Ramey: First off, the TV wouldn't work. The shower has mold in it, room 113. The bed is very uncomfortable. My back hurts from this bed. The breakfast was underwhelming. The biscuits were cardboard and the gravy was not gravy. This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in for the price. This should be renamed into a motel 8 or knights inn. We payed $123 for one night. This quality of room. Should be no more than $50.00! It's amazing it there were so many other good reviews, I wonder where those other people have stayed.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Heidi Wilson: Noteworthy details: The office staff is very helpful and thoughtful and alert which I like-- there's a lot of trafficking that goes on around here so it's nice to feel moderately safe at least just to know that someone else's aware that you're coming in the door and especially when I'm alone with a child late at night
Taya V: Decent and clean. No bad odors. Nice service. Nothing all that fancy. Breakfast was good, the usual basic options.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Natasha Hartman: I made a reservation in December. I called to update it in January. I arrived in February to find the reservation had NOT been updated and that I very nearly lost my room for "no show" on the first night. In the end, I was promised a refund for the first night, but instead got charged all 3 nights at the highest rate instead of 2 nights at the original rate.Breakfast options were limited and sparse, despite the hotel being booked solid and getting up at 6am to get food.Rooms were old and smelled.Staff was apologetic enough, but nothing was actually done or fixed. Calling their desk and their customer service has produced a lot of lip flapping but no refund for the night I asked to cancel.
Steven “WhatTheFerb” Kline: The only complaint I have is that our room was not ready when we got there. But .. with that said . The hotel was dealing with the fallout of the Winter Storm and filled completely the night before. A lot of people were without power. The staff was super nice and respectful even though they were dialing with a lot of angry and agitated people. I will be going back next year for the Nordic Fire Festival and will definitely be staying here .. thank you to the staff for having us.
Andrea Walker: Had to stay here due to bad weather and everything was awesome! Great customer service.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Soul VanSumeren: The lights would keep flickering and after 5 minutes be all the way on, the shower was never warm and the temperature control was the opposite (hot was cold and cold was hot). Plus, when we checked in it wasn't the best hospitality, a long with their pool being cold so there was no way you would want to swim in it. Overall it was a horrid experience and I hope that these issues be resolved.
Mob6 CCJP: Holiday inn is always clean and welcoming, and a very appealing point to me is they always have a desk available for work, play, or what have you. That said, this particular one has poorly made desks trying and failing to properly support a 40 pound glass plate, and frankly this is a massive liability were said desks to ever collapse and injure someone. normally 10/10 tho imo.
Terry B: Hotel is run down. Cracks in paint and dirty carpets. Dirty doors with built up grime. Seems like it's more made for truckers. Was a good price and fully functional but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is trying to stay in a luxurious hotel.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Morgan Sanborn: Mediocre stay for our wedding weekend.Had a hotel block but everyone was spread out across all 3 floors. One guests toilet started overflowing at 1230am the first night and had to be moved. My parents specifically requested two king rooms when booking over the phone and were instead placed in double rooms. Instead of the hotel fixing this for them, someone else switched rooms with the. All of our guests were told they were not allowed to request early check in even tho there were rooms available. There was more than one mix up with the desk trying to kick guests out after one night that had clearly booked for two. And the jetted tub in the room my husband and I stayed in was quite literally falling apart and the grout was deteriorating or moldy in places.

Thomas Graspo: I probably should have said something to the front desk. When I came in last night about 11:30 I noticed there was an odd smell in the upstairs hallway that smell carried over to the room. It's probably just musty and need some Carpet Fresh a new carpet but it was permeating and very uncomfortable. Breakfast was decent. The furniture in the room is definitely old , the price is very reasonable but the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great for a one-night stay
Cheryl Wiggins: Rooms were clean but carpet was dated. Employees were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and the area was very clean. Location is convenient, but there are no restaurants near by, for those who may want to walk to dinner. I would stay here again.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
KM H: Of I could have given 0/5 stars I would, first there was a very bad odor, mildew and must, everywhere, the beds were disheveled, only received 1 bath towel, decor was ver run down….but the worst was my door did not lock. I used the room chairs to barricade my self In the room and slept with the lights on just in case. Also the curtains do not close, only thin fabric and even if the lights were off my room was lit up like a Christmas tree, oh yeah and the pool is closed for maintenance. The only bright spot was the amazing personality of the front desk worker, she was very sweet.
Taco caT: Mildew/mold on ceiling in bathroom, another guest had a mushroom growing in their room, blinds were broken, black out curtains don't close, a high price for a low quality very poorly maintained place.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Brittney Burke: The shower head has green mold all over it. Spider & webs in every corner of the bathroom. Random people walked right into our room because the staff gave them the same room number and keys as us. Direct TV was out for some time during a storm. Cleaning ladies were slamming doors for hours. Overall experience was terrible
