Red Roof Inn Lansing East – MSU: what do users think?
Tammy Hardiman: Price was not bad. Location was very convenient. Rooms were not the best. Needed remodel and deep clean. 2nd floor walkway underneath had exposed rebar and broken cement that could pose a risk to ground floor guests. We requested no housekeeping just access to fresh towels each day. We wanted to give housekeeping a break.A staff member acted as though we had intentions of taking them and made us return dirty towels each day before we could get new ones.Lastly we kept getting locked out of our room and had to have key card reset several times over the course of our stay.Overall not a terrible experience but would not choose this location again.
Lucas Dainen: Nice and quiet, accommodating for the furries. Very pleased
Gabbi: This hotel was extremely disgusting. I am only able to give one star if I was able to give no stars and leave a review I would! Not only did they not provide any hot plates for the microwave which is the only thing we have to warm up food!!!! THEY ALSO HAD ROACHES !!! I repeat they had roaches!!!! I’m itching now writing this review after I stumped in the office and demanded a refund which they gave over so easily because they knew!!!! When I address the lady in the front desk and ask have this been a pass problem she says “ “oh not in that room” …. Wouldn’t you think if they had them in one room they have them in ALL!!!!! I’m telling you guys I only spent three hours in the room in a mama roach gave birth to 38 babies in my bag!!! Luckily, I caught it the same night, I would’ve went home with roaches. How disappointing lost out on a good bag!!! Please don’t book here or you will be the next victim of this disaster!!!! Or sleep with one eye open!!!!
Aileen Huard: We stayed at the lansing Michigan location and it was awful. No towels and toilet paper and was refused towels and toilet paper at the desk had to go buy our own. Ice covered stairs my mom fell down the stairs slipping on the ice and the office staff could care less. No remote for the TV. Snow blew in at the seem of the door the shower temp was reversed the microwave handle was broke

ROBRET MATHY JR: Was not happy staying here at all. It was totally disgusting in all ways. Bathroom was so not clean and very nasty. Urine stains on toilet and floor. Toilet was still unflushed with urine in it. Bathroom door had a hole in it. Shower floor had hair all over it and not cleaned. Empty shampoo bottle on shower floor behind broken shower chair. None of the room had been dusted in a long time. The floor was not moped recently with dirty shoe prints. Carpet was not vacumed and food crumbs all over.Very dirty refrigerator. Bedding looked clean but was 100% sure. It was close to where we had to be next morning but I'll never stay there again.
Elizabeth Compton: They need new beds bad the mattresses are awfulRooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Mary Birdsall: Parking lot could use a make over. Location is center no matter which way your heading! Closest fast food is a Taco Bell. Rooms are decent just a really small bathroom.Rooms: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Stan Myaskovskiy: I have stayed here multiple times. First stays were a fine. Decent rooms no major complaints it’s what you expect. My last stay was a complete disaster. I came to the hotel with a booked stay for 1/2-1/3.I arrived after a 6 hour drive Early 3:55~ AM exhausted and with only 3 hrs to sleep because I had to wake up early for my cats cancer appointment which was at 7:30am.Rather than give me my room, they refused and kept me awake resolving the issue until 5am with no compassion for my situation.I was quickly informed that due to some ridiculous policy they have that they —CANCELLED my room (they could have called me to make sure I’m still coming but did not) and they would only give me a room if they could charge me a second time FOR THE SAME ROOM I ALREADY PAID IN FULL FOR.I showed them in writing that rooms are non refundable and they insisted i just needed to talk to the manager for my refund. As I came in at 4am, I had no choice but to pay a second time for the exact same room. So I was fully double charged. They are now all useless by telling me only their manager “Josh” can refund me, but I call every day, emailed Josh, and don’t think this person exists because he is never there, he doesn’t reply to my emails. And every day they tell me “he will be in tomorrow” but he hasn’t been in once.I’m now out $140 for a one night stay and can’t seem to get anyone to care about giving me a resolution. They are happy to take my money, and not happy to even attempt to return in.Had to tell them that if I don’t hear back I’m going to fully file a dispute for both payments with my credit card company.I stayed for 3 hours from 5am-7:30 and then left home. This isn’t how you treat someone with a sick and dying animal who travels 6 hrs for treatment at MSU.If I get a resolution that is responsible I’ll edit my review but at this current time I’m deeply disappointed and frustrated.
Heather Lane: Our room was nasty my husband was on call cause of the storm an we chose this place cause we've never had a problem. Quality Inn University: what do users think?
Shy Barnes: I had a horrible experience at this hotel when I got in the room the beds were not made and they overcharge me because it was the last room available and also the manager came screaming and knocking on my door before it was checkout time that I hurt had to hurry up and get out of the room or else he was keeping my depositRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Thomas Taylor: The overall atmosphere of the hotel was dirty. The parking lot needed to be cleaned. The lobby area was dark and uninviting. The room was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Angel Piya: Its like my second home. Few times repeated staying here. Fav hotel in jb town
Katie Stollar: We was charged twice the amount listed online due to it being a graduation weekend for MSU. They also wanted 100 cash deposit which was to be returned after checking out. The room was decent but looked grubby in the corners. The mirror over the vanity for the bathroom had 2 large holes behind it which extended down below the frame. The cable wire for the TV was just laying on the floor next to the door for the adjoining room. If you was using both rooms it would of tripped you (or kids) over and over. The breakfast they offered was great the next day.Upon checking out the man at the desk gave us the run around about returning the deposit. He called the housekeeping who claimed we was still in the room. He threatened to have us escorted from the building and keep the 100 cash deposit. After another call to housekeeper and him informing her that we was at the front desk and not in the room she then verified we left the room and the deposit could be returned. After such a hassle and being overcharged from the online price I will personally never go back to this placeEdit to add:Owner response seemed pretty much computer generated, much like the many other reviews. Clearly they have no plans to remedy the issues or make it right with the people they've done wrong. I for one would like some sort of refund, given the fact we paid double what was advertised and then asked for a cash deposit
Yvonne Ramos: Not sure if they are going through a remodel, but our room was horrible. Stains on carpet, bathroom floor very dirty, poor lighting, poor air circulation, outdated everything. I was upset to have spent that amount of money on an extremely low quality room.It wasn't the staff's fault. Everyone was very kind.
Jacob Nepochatov: In summary, the place is a good deal if all you want is a bed, but do not expect the hotel to be even remotely "nice."The good:-really convenient location-ample parking-easy check in/out-friendly staff-comfy bedsThe bad:-extremely outdated building with dark creepy corridors (especially at night)-Stench of chlorine throughout halls because pool is not in a separate area from the rooms. It's all kinda under one roof it's weird..-there is no water station so they CHARGE for water bottles at the front desk-room phone was dead-my blanket had a coffee stain (I hope)-cherry on top was our room had a window which only looked into the corridor outside the door. I realized, even with the curtains closed, someone could see both beds through the mirror on the wall. So basically expect to have very little privacy in your room someone can just peep in if they want.
Sanjeet Shrestha: Really good for the price. They have pool tables, swimming pool, gaming station and gym. Also the breakfast was really good for the price.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
ldwalton75: I was very disappointed when I walked in and saw the sign that read....No Birthday parties, No cake, etc or you'll be asked to leave the hotel. I have had and have been a guest there for many birthday parties and celebrations. And, for families to not be allowed the opportunity to celebrate there saddens me.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly …More
C J: What a disappointing experience. The place is old and dirty. Broken wall pieces, cracks, bed bugs, and very unprofessional. We went there for my daughter's 13th birthday. I reserved 2 rooms a month in advance. Honestly it's hard for me to even put into words how bad the manager Ron treated us and how unprofessional he was. I finished my check in, which was not the best experience. The girls went up to their room and my son and I finished bringing our stuff in. We had one balloon that was a table centerpiece that said happy birthday and one case of cupcakes, 3 presents and then our bags and snacks etc. As my son and I are walking the manager Ron stops me in my tracks as he is standing at the door of another clients hotel room arguing with her. He then proceeds to tell me no birthday stuff and I will get kicked out. He was so unprofessional. He wouldn't let me speak he wouldn't let me go collect the girls so we could discuss the situation. It was either get rid of every single bday thing including the cupcakes gifts all of it or get kicked out. No where on the reservations email or the website did it say you could not bring this stuff but he kept repeating it was on the web. By this time we are in the lobby I'm in tears, he is still talking over me being rude and unprofessional. Let me mention when we arrived there was a large group probably 10 adults a few teenagers etc in the common area by the pool with open beer cans, a case of beer on the table and a radio going. Then they brought out a TV!!! Ridiculous. Honestly if I had more time I would give more details but I'm so over the money and effort I put into this already. I have pictures of my confirmation and screen shots of the website and pics of the bed bugs etc I will be sharing and contacting corporate. Ron the manager is an arrogant, intimidating, unprofessional manager. He was eating behind the checkout counter, laughing acting like whatever. It was such a bad experience.
Julia Beck: Service at front desk is very helpful, whether switching from 2 bed room to 1 bed room, making a reservation for a tailor, or anything else the staff is always helpful.
Lori Shaw: Room was available on time, was clean and good size for the price. The bar was well staffed and good selection of drinks available.Reception staff especially Angus was very helpful and polite.Would stay again
Sara Hart: Terrible service and doesn't say they don't allow any parties on their websiteNoteworthy details: This place doesn't allow parties and doesn't tell anyone that they don't until after you deposit 200.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 2/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly …More
Michelle Thompson: The staff was very helpful and good attitudesRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Joseph Peters: This place was just like being home. Spacious room with friendly staff. Walking distance from just about anything. Major kudos to the manager for going above and beyond expectations. 10/10 will stay there again
Melisha McMichael: We decided to stay here prior to a morning ferry crossing. The lady was very welcoming and our very large en suite room was charming and comfortable. We were served breakfast before the normal meal time because of our early ferry. The breakfast was excellent. We will definitely stay again.
Andy Smith: Just went for record showRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Seedar Dalasinh: We stayed for one night as a stop over from the ferry. We’re bowled over by the warm welcome and excellent conversation. So pleased we booked this rather than a faceless hotel in town. Will definitely be back if we come this way again. Thank you for a wonderful start to our holiday

Jessica Schulte: A little out of the way but the rooms were nice. Perfect for long term stays with kitchenettes. Beds were new, no dips. Clean and nice furniture. Got a free upgrade.Rooms: Dishwasher and fridge available in suites. Had a whole pantry available. Great for long stays. Out of the way so pretty safe
mel brooks: Great Wi-Fi. The hotel is clean. Great staff. Carlos the evening manager was great . He’s friendly and very patient. I took Uber to my destinations, and the rates were reasonable. The hotel is on the grounds of a golf course.A hospital is in walking distance if medical care is needed. Lots of places to eat are close by.Nearby activities: GolfingSafety: Safe. Quiet neighborhoodFood & drinks: Many restaurants and bars near by via driving or Uber.
Clifton Copenhaver: The bathroom was the only negative experience. The tub had spackling on it(?), which meant my bath was very unpleasant. Secondly, the bathroom light had to stay off because it had very bad random strobing effectsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Jim Larue: I found myself in the Lansing area, needing a room, but without a reservation anyplace. Originally targeting a budget place like a Red Roof Inn, I learned a couple of popular shows were in town, and lots of the usual lodging was booked. That's when I found the Candlewood. The staff was very friendly. The room's features reminded me if a Hilton Garden Inn or Marriott Courtyard than a Red Roof room. My room had a kitchenette, so meals could be prepared if I had planned ahead. This would be a great place to stay for a week or a long weekend. There were some basics for sale in a lobby area, such as prepackaged cereal, milk, microwave popcorn, etc., but far better would be to bring groceries from home or hit a local grocery store. The bed was comforatable. Everything was super clean. I'd stay here again.Rooms: Very clean, spacious, well fitted, comfortableSafety: This is across from a newer hospital in a somewhar rural setting. It appeared to be an area low in crime.
Joanna Carrillo: I have been here a couple times and each time the bathrooms were not as clean as I would like to see. With hairs in the bathtub shoe prints on floor, stains on wall etc.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Doug Milewski: Needed a place to stay after we arrived at our original hotel only to find the power was out throughout Kalamazoo and we needed to find another place to stay. This hotel a little out of our way but every hotel in the area was booked solid. Nice staff (a little overwhelmed with all the last-minute bookings), clean/spacious room, and very quiet. Everything I'm looking for in a hotel!
Max Lamee: Friendly professional staff and nice clean room. Couldn't have asked for more.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jackie Tracey: I booked a room a couple days ago and needed to adjust my reservation. It took less than a minute. I am so impressed with how easy they made this process for me!Service: 5/5 …More
WillnMandey Sauer: The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. They lose a star for having no breakfast, a star for the tub being so cracked I was afraid to use it, and a star for not having any kind of business center. They got one back because the young girl at the front desk was very friendly.I would also love to know why there's a dvd/vcr player combo in the room. Do people bring a lot of VHS tapes with them? Lmao!
Stephanie Wendt: Conveniently comes with everything you need and is in a good location. Friendly staff. Clean, although could use a good dusting. Shower/Tub diverter was broken, so could not take a bath. But at least the shower worked. 4/5 StarsRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Ed C: A long way from anywhere. Otherwise, okayRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Duane Edmonds: The rooms are nice and clean and the whole motel is kept clean and has a nice staff.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Poetic Oddities: My girlfriend and I have recently been displaced due to flooding and mold that was growing in our ceiling unbeknownst to us in our apartment. After much haggling, our apartment complex finally agreed to get us a hotel room for the night since our entire apartment smelled of mold. Our apartment complex was going to pay for this room until we found out that we can’t check in if you’re under 21. My girlfriend and I are both 19. After a long confusing day, I called this hotel (the one my apartment sent us to) and explained our situation. The first woman I talked to was very nice and asked for us to just wait while she transferred the line, however, the second person I spoke to was very rude and told us under no circumstances were we allowed into the hotel without “adult” supervision.I understand that rules are rules. I’m not upset that they were unable to accommodate us, but the way we were spoken to was absolutely unacceptable. Especially since we were just looking for a bit of guidance.

Residence Inn by Marriott Lansing West: what do users think?
K Gracie: Not a bad hotel. Our family of six for well into the 2 bedroom suite. We have 3 televisions, a stove, oven and full size fridge. On top of that, they offer a free continental breakfast. The only downside was that on each room, one bedside lamp didn't work. Everything else was satisfactory. Would stay here again.
ldwalton75: Had to stay in this hotel after having to leave my home in the middle of the night. The staff was very helpful. They saw I was distraught and made sure I felt safe and at ease with checking in. This hotel is dog friendly as my 4th child (yorkie) had to come with us.My only issue was the pool was never open and the breakfast wasn't all that great. The staff, however; was amazing!!!
Lisa Boban: It's a good place to stay when you're in the West Lansing area. Good check in experience (best bag of treats I've ever gotten for my status!). Nice room. Pretty good breakfast. I left something in my room and used the chat feature in the app to request they set the item aside for me, which worked beautifully!Noteworthy details: Lots of power outlets!
April Sharkey: Rooms were perfect for my family of 4. My entire extended family stayed and everyone was pleased. Ms. Irene that handles breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing and so was the food. She was so sweet to my young kids, we could use more wonderful people like her in this world. To her manager she needs a big RAISE! Also that was the best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel. We will definitely be back!!!
Katie Woodhams: The only reason I rated 4/5 was because the pool was closed for our trip and beyond. The staff at the front desk made our trip so special by taking an interest in our family and our reason for travel. The room was clean and spacious. I love that the hotel was pet friendly. We will definitely return!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly …More
Alisha (Alisha): I had a wonderful time staying at the residence inn. Every staff member was so friendly and accommodating. I liked being greeted and welcomed back. I felt very welcomed here and checking out was a breeze. The rooms are very spacious and well designed. The heating kicks in quick and warms up the place very fast. The breakfast is very good with slight changes in variety each day. I especially loved the omelets, meat choices, bagels and fruit. I've stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels that were less spacious with very bland breakfast options. I will stay here again when I come back. The TV is very easy to use. I appreciate having the option of signing into my netflix and YouTube account from the TV as well.

Samantha Watson: I am very impressed with the 2 beautiful ladies with welcoming smiles and a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in. They were happy to help with several of my questions. The room is very spacious and clean. I'm looking forward to the rest of the week here.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
The Rarest Pepe: Our stay here was absolutely awesome. Every staff member was helpful and cordial. I was welcomed by Mario at the front desk and treated to a stellar customer service experience. He was professional and expedient all while being kind and attentive. When we had breakfast in the morning, it was delicious and served by Santana. Who was an amazing employee and went out of his way to make my five kids and my breakfast an awesome and smooth experience. Easiest 5 stars ever. Kudos to everyone there and thank you!
Keith Badgley: Gross. When we checked in, they warned us that a bat was flying around the halls. Rooms were not nice. We were just happy to leave.
Kelli Williams: Nice, clean, and just like home!
Taj Zaman (Dowagiac1990): Been holed up here for Christmas most of the last ten years while visiting in-laws. Ever time I notice improvements to the lobby and rooms. Hopefully the worn out carpet in 205 is next to be replaced. Still haven't figured out the mystery door hiding the elevator.
JaysReviews82: Really nice room and front desk is very friendly.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Eric Driskell: I had a good stay the only problem was my two key cards didn't work for the room and I was staying for two nights breakfast is good and the breakfast attendant did a good job bring it out food thank you
Stanley Jelinek: Nice clean rooms. Helpful staff. Close to shopping and restaurants.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
JJ McPhee: Let me first confirm the hotel is indeed temporarily closed until at least fall due to a water main break and renovations. Like others writing reviews I experienced a similar surprise to show up with no room availability. Marriott Loyalty “guaranteed” the room and ensured me (by more than one agent) that they were open. Frustrating.Silver lining, we met Brandon at Fairfield next door (same management company) who helped us out and made things much better.I blame Marriott Corporate for not recognizing the hotel is down for renovations, very unlike them. These bad reviews should not reflect poorly on the management company as they are the only one who stood up and made things right. I look forward to visiting the newly renovated Residence Inn soon. Thank you Brandon!!!Josh
Joshua Caudill: CLOSED! By far the worst experience I've ever had with a Marriott family hotel. I almost went full nuclear Karen. We booked this hotel 6 months in advance while planning my daughter's graduation open house. Needed the kitchen to cook for the party. The day before our check-in, I get a notice on my Bonvoy app to check-in. We definitely needed the room, so I checked in.On the day of our check-in, we pull into the parking lot. It seemed odd that no vehicles were in the lot, save one construction truck. We walk up to the main door and notice a sign stating all packages need to be sent to the Fairfield Inn next door. On the opposite window is a notice that the building was not safe for humans. NOT SAFE FOR HUMANS. Seriously?!?I call the front desk to see what's going on. Of course there is no answer or any message explaining the situation. We drive over to the Fairfield Inn to see if they know what's going on. The front desk clerk proceeds to tell us that there was a flood back in late January. The hotel has been shut down since then and probably won't open until September. This is July. Remember, I booked this 6 months in advance and even checked in the day before our arrival.I didn't receive any type of notification from Marriott about this closure. Not a phone call, email, letter, carrier pigeon, or app notification. I call the corporate line. The person I spoke to had absolutely no clue this location was closed. "What do you mean it's closed?" All they could do was help book another hotel for us in the area and cancel our reservation so we don't get charged the fee for late cancellation. They were kind enough to waive the fee for late cancellation on a hotel that is basically condemned. Thanks . . . .I'm now stressed out of my mind. We're 600 miles from home without a hotel. We should have had a hotel because we booked 6 months in advance. I'm now dealing with the "manager" (Karen Level 1) who has no power to do anything expect rebook us somewhere else. Pretty sure I can do that on my own. I have the app. Who doesn't notify their customers when a location has been shutdown? Marriott apparently. Who doesn't give customer service managers the power to make the situation right? Again, apparently Marriott. We asked if they could book us in the hotel next door, the Fairfield Inn. According to the corporate "manager", that hotel is completely booked. My wife, see that I'm at a Karen Level 3, heading into nuclear territory, decides to check with the front desk. Turns out they do have rooms!Corporate Marriott is absolutely worthless. They have no clue what is going on with their hotels. They couldn't offer any kind of discount for our inconvenience. They did offer me a whopping 10k in Bonvoy points, which won't even get you one room for a single night. I think that's about 2 bottles of water from their store. This could have been a huge customer service win for them.I've been a Marriott Rewards/Bonvoy member since 2011. I have their credit card. I’ve been Gold Status for the last 2 years and Silver for over 5. To be treated like this is mind blowing. What’s the point of a loyalty program if Marriott can’t step up and fix a huge mistake like this? What's worse is I have reservations for this location for this Christmas. Booked in June. Again, 6 months in advance at a hotel that is definitely condemned. Why on earth would their system allow me to book it?!? Oh, the hotel will be operational again by September. Right . . . . like I'm going to believe that. Nothing like getting stranded without a hotel during Christmas. Hotels are easy to come by during the holiday season . . . . . .If you like being stressed to the point that becoming an alcoholic Karen sounds fun, you might want to check this place out. If cirrhosis and delirium tremens aren't your thing, I'd look elsewhere. So disappointed in Marriott. There's a brand new Hilton across the street. Maybe it's time to check out their loyalty program. Do you know if they'll accept Marriot Bonvoy points? Asking for a friend.

Hyatt Place Lansing – East: what do users think?
Linda Wiseley: Rooms: Really nice rooms!Food & drinks: Breakfast is great and a nice bonus!
Abby Roberts: Really nice room with wheelchair accessibility.. however there was a sock under the couch in my room that didn't belong to my party...which makes you wonder what their turn around time is..other than that great access to alot of areas around close to shopping center and Walmart as well!Nearby activities: Within 15 minutes of at least 3 golf courses..tons of activities to do in the area for kids as well.Walkability: You are in walking distance of several restaurants and shopping alike.
Jayson Yoskovich: How dare you guys leave a handicap person outside to sleep in their car after paying for a room!! Someone shoulda gladly came out and help her in any way possible!! Carry her if ya have to!!! Shame on you guys!!! Would never recommend this place!!! EverRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Lara Marie: All around bad.Had a friend needing assistance to enter the facility after hours. With there only being 6 ADA parking spaces available (at a 120 room facility) she was required to park far from the entrance. Because it was after hours, the only way to notify the hotel of her arrival was via phone. Unfortunately, her calls went unanswered and no one came to help. After sleeping in her car she was able to contact the front desk in the morning hours as she just needed to shower before her morning meeting. To add insult to injury she was told they could not help her remove her wheelchair from the car (which she needs to enter the facility since the parking is so far due to limited spaces) because it’s a ‘liability’.A LIABILITY to remove a wheelchair from a car AT A HOTEL where a guest has paid to stay? As if that wasn’t troubling enough…they still charged her for the room!Shame on the hotel for limited accessibility.Shame on the night time staff for not doing their job and answering the phone.Shame on the morning manager/staff for not thinking of people before policy.Shame on whomever could have made her experience better at any point in time and instead did not.
T Essex: Incredibly disappointing that you would leave, someone who PAYED for their room IN YOUR HOTEL to sleep outside in their car because your hotel is not accessible to ALL of your guests! Including but not limited to someone who is in a wheelchair. This is beyond appalling. Even after she reached out to you for help, so she could get out of her car, you refused her. I would never pay to stay in your hotel and I hope you find a way to make it up to her! This woman helps so many people and it's just disgusting what she went through. In freezing Temperatures!! DO BETTER!!!!!
Rebecca f: Would NEVER stay here after finding out they had a customer, WHO HAD ALREADY PAID FOR HER ROOM, sleep in her vehicle due to being in a wheelchair and refusing to give her any assistance.Absolutely disgusting.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Jessica Struzik (Green Web Design): Our handicapped friend, who paid for a room at this establishment, was left to sleep in her car in the parking lot overnight after the staff REFUSED to help her get her wheelchair out of her car. They told her to call the police if she needed help. She was left in her car overnight by staff, knowing that she was cold, tired, had no access to a bathroom or food, and needed assistance. Anything could have happened to her out there. I hope they refund her room, that would be the absolute least they could do. Shame.
Sam Matson: Just found out that this hotel let my friend sleep in her car in the hotel parking lot after paying for a room because she wasn't able to get her wheelchair out of her car. The hotel's customer service refused to help her in any way and told her to call the police to assist her. Let me say that again: she PAID for a room and your hotel's CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED to help her out of her car. You treated the wrong girl horribly, Hyatt. I will only speak for myself and say I'll never stay at a Hyatt again, but I think the entire industry that I am in is feeling the same way. Disappointed and angry with Hyatt.
respectabull rescue: Found out this location left my handicapped friend in her car all night to sleep after she paid for a room because there were not enough spaces close enough to use her crutches. She called repeatedly to try to get assistance and when she finally got through was told it is a liability to assist her. You are lucky she is expunging my criminal recors or I would come up there and catch a charge!
Shawna Gurgul: NOT ADA friendly, if you are traveling with special needs, the staff is non responsive and would not help a wheelchair user. Would never recommend.Noteworthy details: NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY
Melissa Clemens: If I could leave NO stars I would!!!The concierge refused to help a young handicap customer out of her car into her wheelchair so she slept in the parking structure ALL NIGHT!!! This is totally unacceptable, she was told for liability reasons they can’t help? What ever happened to compassion or just respect for other people!!! I will NEVER stay at this hotel and you should not either!!!
Amy Brown: My friend who was traveling alone needed help getting her wheelchair out of her vehicle and they refused. Left her in her car in the parking lot overnight and told her to call the police for help…. 100% Unacceptable.
Emily Lakin: Not Wheelchair friendly!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
THC4PTSD THC4PTSD: So your employees left a handicapped person in their car all not. Stating it was a liability to hemp get her wheelchair out of the vehicle. I willl let veteran organizations to not use Hyatt because of this. Why ask when reserving a room if you need handicap accessible if you won’t help?Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Vanessa Marie: I have a friend that had a reservation at your hotel last night. When she arrived she needed help getting her wheelchair out of her car.I found out this morning that front desk staff would not help her and she spent the whole night stuck in her car alone. This is so horrible.
Kat Gvara: If you or a family meme er are wheelchair users, please avoid this hotel. A friend of mine is wheelchair handicapped and asked for assistance getting her chair out so she could go to her already paid for room. Staff told her it wasn’t their job and if she needed help to call the police. Of course she didn’t know what to do so she slept in her car!!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE AND UNBELIEVABLE! You treat people like this and think it’s okay? What if she would have been assaulted while trying to get it out herself again? You not only humiliated someone for having a handicap but also showed that your employee have no heart. If I could give you a negative 5 I would
Anna Conrad: Refused to assist with a handicap guest who needed her wheelchair taken out of her car and suggested calling the police to help instead. Very bad service and will never stay again 5/16/23Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Anish Mandala: Outstanding front desk and service one of the better hyatt places I have stayed at. Really top notch.
Joseph Pleso: One of the better Hyatts. Breakfast was above average. For those with Teslas, this is a good place to stay as the charger is nearby. Also several nice restaurants are walkable. MSU is a quick drive as well.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
PointCarpetMovies: Outdated and lacking for a four-star.Shower water pressure was a pittance. No USB on the wall outlets (in 2023). The three prongs were so loose that chargers wanted to fall out. One of the lamps hanging over my bed was sagging and ready to fall off. Measly haphazard bar soap. On room entry, the fridge was left open clearly for several hours, so it was not cold.On checkout, there was nobody at the desk for 15 minutes. A line formed for people checking out and checking in.Otherwise, nice place.

Residence Inn by Marriott East Lansing: what do users think?
Kimmy K: The room was nice. I had a 1 bedroom with small kitchen and living room. However, it smelled a bit like perfume which made me ill. The freezer on the refrigerator didn't have an ice maker and it was a long haul to the ice machine. I asked for extra pillows in my room and they weren't there when I checked in. The hotel is near part of MSU, but far from many things. Not many restaurants nearby. Had to drive about 5 miles to anything.
Kristi Dickinson: Fantastic! Nice big rooms

Katrina Davis -Johnson (Johnson): I stayed here for an extended Military assignment and the hotel is great, the rooms were nice and updated, amenities and grounds. One of the main reasons I stayed were because my kids liked the basketball hoop & I liked the kitchenette and gym. However, for some reason they don’t allow my 13 year old to play by himself. I was told a minor cannot be anywhere in the hotel without an accompanying adult!!! I’ve stayed at hundreds of different hotels, including Residence In all over the United States and I’ve NEVER had an establishment tell me this. Not Once! So, in order for him to enjoy the amenities, after a long days work (sometimes 16-24 hours at a time) I would have to sit there with him. I really don’t want to say this was racial profiling but when I saw other children waking around without an adult…. I felt I was single out. Great hotel but guidelines need to be consistent and universal. I thought it was kid friendly but I guess not.
Jebraun Ardister: Saturday March 25th was the worse experience I’ve had at this hotel. I booked a two bedroom suit a week prior for my son’s birthday. I Informed the front desk attendant my intent for booking the room. After we checked and our guest started to arrive we received a call stating that we can not have more than 6 guest swimming (something we weren’t informed about prior to booking or at check-in) It seemed like we were being watched on cameras or assumed that every person of color that walked in was with our group. I proceeded to walk to the front desk for clarification. While speaking with the front desk attendant I informed them that the people who planned to swim were my son, his 4 school friends and myself and us 6 are the ones that will be staying the night in hotel. Fast forward to us swimming a few of the front desk attendants came into the pool area and asked one group “how many kids belong to them?” Never came to me and asked me any questions but once again assumed that everyone else was with me. She then called our room and told my wife that we had too many people in the pool. I spoke with the lady and identified who was swimming she then gave me a time limited to wrap up the birthday party and that she will come to the room and do a head count. As she arrived to our room, we wrapped up the birthday party and people were heading out, she quickly told us we had 5 mins to leave because it was too many people in the room. As we were leaving the police was called on us (which scared our son) I felt like our group/guest were profiled, harassed and treated unfairly. Never will I attend this hotel again
Courtney Shantelle: Very rude seem very racist I would not recommend if your are of color I would never go back
paige Murchison: Worst experience I’ve ever encountered!!! I recently attempted to stay at the residence inn in east Lansing the weekend of 3/25/23. I’ve stayed at this location probably over a dozen times throughout the years. I’ve attended birthday parties, business group events, holiday parties, and personal stays there and they were all pleasant which is why I booked there over the weekend. I made reservations weeks prior to my stay, I called them to let them know my intentions for staying and the only concern was to make sure I have my ID to validate my discount. Upon arriving, I was given a homemade paper full of rules, I was asked to sign. After informing the lady Taylor (I believe, they refused to give me their names and they didn’t have on name tags) I am there to have my son swim party she then tells me I cannot after I already was approved to do so prior to me booking and paying. During the little time I was there, I was being micromanaged, watched on camera, assumed all the black people that were at the hotel there were together. I spoke with another black parent that was a guest and she was experiencing the same thing. There was also another child’s birthday party being held by white ppl, my husband asked them if they were having issues and they said no. And there were more than 6 people with them as well. To sum up my experience, we were ask to leave and they gave us 5 mins. The Asian lady with the glasses at the front desk then proceeded to call the cops on us because it took longer than 5 mins to pack and leave. After seeing the cops approach us and asked us to leave with there hand resting on their gun, when we were already off the elevator with heading out with all our belongings, my son then became scared and started to cry, asking me if we were going to jail and are they going to shoot us. They refused a refund and had zero remorse for ruining a 6 year old birthday party. I also told them, we were just there two weeks ago for another birthday party and it was no issue. Maybe because my friend who booked her biracial daughters party was a white lady. I have never been more humiliated, embarrassed, unwelcomed, and sad my sons party was ruined. I wouldn't recommend anyone BLACK to stay here. My guest and I never threaten anyone there but to have the police called to a 6 year old party was so out of line. Marriott will never get another dime from me and my "guest" said the same and they'll tell their family and friends the same.
Satoria MoonGoddess: Extremely clean, great staff, super friendly. Free Breakfast bar had vegan options. The room was just like a 2 bedroom apartment and I received a military discount. I can't wait to go back with my family for a weekend getaway. I've traveled the world and this was one of the best stays I've had anywhere!!! Kudos to the staff.Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast buffet. I'm plant based and there were many options for me.Noteworthy details: The staff was extremely nice. and accommodating

Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol: what do users think?
Bonnie Hanner: How can a hotel like this have no microwave? Along with having no way to heat up your left overs from last night that you put in their fridge their restaurant is closed as well so and don’t know when it will reopen according to the front desk. Therefore there is no continental breakfast. Parking, You either have to pay for parking in the parking deck or park on the street which by 8 a.m. is not free anymore.I can go to the west side of Lansing and get more convenient parking and a microwave to heat up my food for $40 cheaper.
Annette Munroe: PICK ANYWHERE BUT HERE!Was told on arrival that the king room we reserved months in advance (& confirmed with reservatiin staff the day prior to our arrival) was not available & our only option was a double. The only thing keeping this review from being a full 1 star was the staff behind the counter who discounted our room & gave us a couple free non-alcoholic beverages (as well as handling several issues yet to come)When we asked the valet where the hotel parking lot was, he said our "only option was valet", so we filled out the form & gave him our key & he said we would get a text to use for payment & pickup once they got "caught up". Never got any text.Headed to assigned room & found a "do not disturb" sign on door handle but key unlocked door which opened to find pillow & blankets strewn across the floor so we quickly backed out. Back down to the check-in line to get a new room & the staff advised us that room had not only been marked "cleaned" but also marked "inspected & ready for occupancy" so she sent a housekeeping mgr up to our next room to verify it was good & then deal with the first room.Second room had view of a heart-wrenching 9-11 Monument with bright upward shining spotlights, unfortunately shining directly into our window & only sheer curtains were closable (black out curtains were apparently only for "decor" because their track only went 1 ft from the corners). Wall were paper thin & every surrounding conversation was loudly audible in detail all night. No hotel info in room & no TV info channel so we had no directions to hotel amenities or check out procedure.Obviously slept poorly but fast forward to 7am & still no text from valet so now worrying our car would be missing. Got to front desk to check out & find valet to sort out our car, only to be told the 3rd party valets never showed up for work that am & the hotel was trying to contact 3rd party mgt. Luckily the hotel mgr had keys to valet box so was able to get us & several others our keys & directions to find our cars (incredibly they asked those who had the valet text to still pay but most refused, they did give us our key based on photo ID only)Overall a HORRIBLE hotel experience, especially for the Radisson brand. Location was the only other good thing about hotel as it was across the street from convention center however everyone else at my event who stayed there had similar horror stories including 1 couple who said their first assigned room smelled so strongly of mold when they opened the door that they also had to be re-assigned to a double room instead of the king they paid for.AN INCREDIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT! I'd personally recommend staying elsewhere & just planning a little longer walk or drive to convention center before I'd trust Radisson again.

Vishwa Teja Yerram: Strangest visit of recent times. There was mix up on their end during check in and someone opened our room door at 3 AM. Lucky us we had to door latch on if not they would have walked on to us during our sleep. This is located in convenient location but some websites mentioned of free parking which is not accurate. Public Garage close to it offer full day parking for over 20$. The room was outdated, dusting was not done on the furniture. All furniture in the suite had dust on it. Avoid it if you can.
Meghan Perry: If you come here you have two options for parking, you can valet parking is $30 something after taxes. And then there is a parking lot next door it's $15 for over night but they start charging every hour I think $3 at 6 or 7 am. You can get info at the pay here spot when you drive in but you pay when you leave. They do not have a pool and there is construction going on at the moment but it didn't seem to bother me.The bar and the kitchen closes at 9. I had a room we're you can see the capital I highly recommend. Valet, check in guy, and bartender are great. Hope this helps! I was on the tenth floor.Rooms: Rooms are nice, good size TV, love the shower.Walkability: There is a market near by, some art to look at and a few bars. Monica Slone: I have been coming to this hotel on and off since 2004. Honestly back then it was 100,000 times worse. I was here in the summer of 2020 We were running out of cash and options. The staff blessedly did not give our room that we had checked out of that morning and accepted payment from.a local organization. Now we're here again in 2023. Since then the entire look of the hotel has really changed alot. The blankets are way better. Much softer. Outside they now have bags for people whom have dogs can dispose of and management is pretty strict about it. Mr. Brendan ( Mr. B) is a fair and good manager. He's very present, he walks around the property daily engaging with guests and staff. I think they're great because they work with Advent Ministries and St. Gerards to help families in need of immediate housing. People complain about kids running and things like that, but it's a hotel. Security is becoming top notch also. There are cameras installed on every building now and it's also very well lit. I see staff almost around the clock walking around and still grabbing trash, towels etc, that guests just toss outside their door. So, everywhere you go people will clash and want to complain.

Andy Lyke: Always a great place to stay
Julie Herron: **Beware of unannounced expensive random charges on your credit card after your stay at this hotel (despite speaking with the manager who won’t remove).**We happened to see a charge of $150 on the credit card when reviewing our April statement. Confused, I called the manager and she said it for “hair dye stains in the bathtub” plus a broken couch they “didn’t charge.” My 5th grade daughter and husband stayed at the hotel and verified they didn’t use hair dye or similar that would cause a stain. We believe it was the people who stayed there before us? We feel powerless that this situation could certainly happen to someone else for EVEN more money. I’m going to dispute the charge on the credit card and hope people will see this post. I really wish I made a reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road instead.

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lansing, MI: what do users think?
Bridget Hayes: Hotel was extremely dirty. I had to request for the bathtub and toilet to be cleaned upon arrival. The room was extremely dusty, I could see heavy layers of dust. The hotel was dingy, dimly lit, and carpet had bleach stains. Hotel is dated and in desperate need of remodeling. Making the $100 incidental charge offensive, I will never stay there again and have advised our organization to remove you from our list for room block accommodations.
Jack.K Yang: Rented two rooms for three nights there on April 21-24. Room 102 had an awful sweat/wet carpet like smell to it, unbearable. Could not get room switch bc night was booked per desk attendant and they handed us a bottle of air freshener to spray which didn’t help after using the entire quarter bottle. So we had to buy air freshener and spray perfume in the room to mask stinky smell. Was able upgrade to suite next day room 103 for xtra $10/day to be closer. Would not recommend this hotel for the price. Could have accommodated room switch for no xtra charge for the bad experience.
Damyon Finch: Whatever you see on the website, is a lie. This place is not nice. 160 a night? Not worth that. The lobby is the nicest part.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
grim_apparatus: Upon reading some of the other reviews left for this hotel, my fiance and I were a little worried what we had gotten ourselves into. Upon arriving I noticed their parking lot looks like a WW2 battlefield pocked with craters towards the back. Luckily the inside of the lobby is pretty nice, and the staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. The room itself was quite outdated with very old appliances and the smallest TV I've ever seen in a hotel room. But, that being said, it wasn't the worst place to stay the night. Our two chief complaints about this hotel are the carpet that is old and smells like a wet dog's behind, and the mattress on our bed was quite obviously old, stained, and not that comfortable. For $100 a night I guess you could do worse. Atleast I didn't find any blood stains mentioned in other reviews.
Brianne Spedoske: Went for Spring break, pool was open when we checked in and closed later for "maintenance". Was the main purpose of our stay. Missing hand soap from our bathroom, blood stain on the pillow case and the microwave didn't work. Otherwise a very quiet hotel.
