Eli Broad College of Business: what do users think?
M. Syarif (omcalip): Among all MSU buildings, I think this is the most comfy one. Very modern and clean. There are 2 connected buildings in the same area. You can find the Panera Bread outlet there. The location is also next to the edge of Red Cedar river. You may sit and enjoy the view while you break here.
Andrew Beitel: I attended the Broad College of Business as a marketing major from 2020-2021. I transferred to Michigan State in 2019 from a smaller private college where I played baseball and studied business. I transferred because I wanted to focus on my education in the field of business, and coming to the Broad College of Business was by far the best choice.Broad College did a great job at making me an expert in all different fields of business other than just my major of marketing. On top of it, the most important thing is retaining all of the information that we learned and they did a wonderful job at helping me do that. The building is beautiful and every time you walk through the doors in the morning, you feel like you are apart of something special that a lot of people don't have the opportunity to be apart of.I highly recommend being a student of Michigan State and the globally recognized Broad College of Business - it is really something special that will help your career take off!
Joe: Me and my mother visited this school today (7/27/18) for their white and green day event. I like the lecture halls on the upper floor and the Starbucks on the lower floor. What I don't like is after your 1st year at MSU, you have to apply to the business school (granted that you want to go into business).I heard from a counselor that there is a 54% chance getting into the business school. I think that's too low.To get admitted you must have a 3.0+ college GPA and have "a background in business". Go green! Go white!
Chase: Beautifully Renovated Building. However, was disappointed in the quality of my Broad College education. 400 Level Finance Professors seemed lost, didn't know how to teach, and were a total bore. Since graduating, there are many things I learned in the real world about the careers in Finance that I never learned at MSU. Had I known some of these things, like trading firms don't hire finance majors anymore, I probably wouldn't have majored in business.
Jackie Tan-DeWitt: Love this place . Best place for an education
James Van Antwerp: Full of business majors 🤢. At least it's quiet and well lit.
Barry Lynn Strank: Back in October 2001 , I kept that business College from plummeting to the ground during a heavy wind storm event. The building was still in the construction phase and a good share of the windows hadn't been installed yet, and I was in charge of Security to guard the computer room and a lot of accoutrements that were already in the building. That storm started blowing 70-100 mph.wind gusts in the open window holes and the glass atrium started to act like a balloon. Scared me and I dont scare easily. I had to find a way of stabilizing the building and being an old farm boy, I knew tractors and hydraulics, I saw a HI-LO hydraulic lift and totally disregarded orders by my bosses to not use any of the construction crews equipment .I ran that hydraulic hoist up to be just snug tight to the steel I- beam ( rafter) to stabilize the entire atrium to ensure that it wouldn't collapse. I am completely sure that would have happened had I not. The next morning , the crew came in ,saw the lift nicely placed up against the roof and let my boss know that whoever did that probably kept the building in one piece .At first, my boss reiterated to me and reprimanded me for using their equipment , then some fella in charge of the school had heard about and saw what I had done and told me more than likely I really did keep that atrium from going down and even thanked me profusely and gave me a heartfelt and genuine hug. I dont know if that gentleman was Eli Broad or if he wasnt- I didn't have the time or energy to ask. I needed to go home to sleep.Anyway, I'm glad the business school is still upright and educating people . I dont handle Security anymore, but at the time, I was glad I was there to help .Thanks for your time in reading about my experience - and I thought my experience with the Eli Broad building might be a good read for people who might not know what their school has endured.Peace.
Bob Ramos: Th best college of business on campus!
Megan Nhieu: Workers were rude & impolite. No hospitality whatsoever.
JP: Has one of the best business schools and grad programs for masters. The healthcare management program is very well developed and exciting program to be in.
Zachary S: I sit here for 3 hours a day and let me tell you them seats are not comfortable.-Z
Chen Wang: best business school ever
Mayank Mittal: One of the famous B-Schools worldwide. Has association with major B-Schools in Asia. Well learned and helpful faculties.
Travis Stoliker: Great school.
Qin Jason: Best College Ever!

Kay Murphy: Great venue for a conference! Wait staff were friendly & helpful. Food was excellent!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
Richard Greiner: Came for a conference. Room and Dinner were 1st rate!Only complaint....bring back breakfast!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Anatoly Evdokimov: Good place for conferences. Budget option to host students. But rooms rather small and no fridge. Also shower/toilet is like in RV - you can sit on the throne and shower at the same time.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
W WT: Two of the more pressing issues at the time were cleanliness if the facility, and safety. Coming out of a pandemic this was my first time staying overnight in a hotel again. The conference center and the rooms both appeared well attended to. My other concern was safety after the incident on campus being a few days past. It was great to see the campus full if it's normal hustle and bustle. I enjoyed getting out and venturing around Lansing.Nearby activities: Lots of local places to get out and eat/shop.
Mark Spencer: I was there for a beekeeping conference. Well ran, no issues.Location: 5/5 …More
Colleen Horn: Very nice conference rooms. Facility is clean and well maintained.Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Souhair Ghozayel: We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly. I liked the sms service. They reply instantly. The room was the cleanest I have ever stayed at. The restaurant was cozy, food was not pricey at all and tasted so good. The waiters were extremely polite.I recommend it and would definitely stay there again despite the shower 😂
Kevin Corwin: Ours was a 3-night stay while visiting the University. From the front desk to the wonderful Spartan Spirit shop in the lobby area to random spots in the hallways, the staff were warm, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was clean with truly comfortable beds. Old injuries frequently mean sore a shoulder and back with hotel beds, but I had no issues here. The ability to park in the adjacent parking structure at no additional cost was an outstanding guest benefit. Some nearby competitors charge $30/night for parking. The covered parking also meant I didn't have to clear off my car after either snowfall during our stay.
Heaven Baier (Ma'am Baier): This is definitely not a 3 star. Good Lord they need to take lessons from Springhill Suites across the way that is a 2 star but should be a 4 star.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Paul Rinella: Best hotel on MSUs campusRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Office for Education Abroad: what do users think?
Jack Taylor: One of the most frustrating experiences I've had at MSU. The study abroad department lacks transparency and the communication necessary for a successful experience abroad. Dwight Handspike is incredibly frustrating to work with - it takes multiple follow-up emails to get his attention and he makes it difficult to understand the grading standards and transferability of international credits. My abroad experience was very enjoyable, but dealing with the Office for Education Abroad was an unfortunate hurdle to jump through.
Tiegan Eggleston: Semester study abroad was wonderful! The people in this office got me everything I needed for my trip. The Peer Advisors working there are extremely helpful and will help you where ever you are in your study abroad process. 5 stars all the way.
Kathleen Foley: Freshman Study Abroad program is a fabulous. Cannot say enough. Well done. Thank you.

Graduate East Lansing: what do users think?
Nick Woodhams: Prepare to get your room broken into by the maids and water that never gets hot. Other than that the safe they have in their lobby was cool.

I'd definitely recommend the location to anyone staying in the area. The 10th floor bar makes excellent drinks!Food & drinks: Lots of eateries, coffee, drinks etc within walking distance.
Nicole Henderson: This hotel exceeded my expectations! I was expecting lower quality due to the more than reasonable price but this management team set the bar incredibly high. Paige at the front desk was incredibly kind and the hospitality she displayed was top notch. The facilities were well maintained, the valet team was super. This is 100% the place you want to stay when visiting the area!

Candlewood Suites East Lansing, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
작가호철: Near at MSU golf club. But beds are so small no light break fast.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Jessica Schulte: A little out of the way but the rooms were nice. Perfect for long term stays with kitchenettes. Beds were new, no dips. Clean and nice furniture. Got a free upgrade.Rooms: Dishwasher and fridge available in suites. Had a whole pantry available. Great for long stays. Out of the way so pretty safe
mel brooks: Great Wi-Fi. The hotel is clean. Great staff. Carlos the evening manager was great . He’s friendly and very patient. I took Uber to my destinations, and the rates were reasonable. The hotel is on the grounds of a golf course.A hospital is in walking distance if medical care is needed. Lots of places to eat are close by.Nearby activities: GolfingSafety: Safe. Quiet neighborhoodFood & drinks: Many restaurants and bars near by via driving or Uber.
Clifton Copenhaver: The bathroom was the only negative experience. The tub had spackling on it(?), which meant my bath was very unpleasant. Secondly, the bathroom light had to stay off because it had very bad random strobing effectsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Jim Larue: I found myself in the Lansing area, needing a room, but without a reservation anyplace. Originally targeting a budget place like a Red Roof Inn, I learned a couple of popular shows were in town, and lots of the usual lodging was booked. That's when I found the Candlewood. The staff was very friendly. The room's features reminded me if a Hilton Garden Inn or Marriott Courtyard than a Red Roof room. My room had a kitchenette, so meals could be prepared if I had planned ahead. This would be a great place to stay for a week or a long weekend. There were some basics for sale in a lobby area, such as prepackaged cereal, milk, microwave popcorn, etc., but far better would be to bring groceries from home or hit a local grocery store. The bed was comforatable. Everything was super clean. I'd stay here again.Rooms: Very clean, spacious, well fitted, comfortableSafety: This is across from a newer hospital in a somewhar rural setting. It appeared to be an area low in crime.
Joanna Carrillo: I have been here a couple times and each time the bathrooms were not as clean as I would like to see. With hairs in the bathtub shoe prints on floor, stains on wall etc.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Doug Milewski: Needed a place to stay after we arrived at our original hotel only to find the power was out throughout Kalamazoo and we needed to find another place to stay. This hotel a little out of our way but every hotel in the area was booked solid. Nice staff (a little overwhelmed with all the last-minute bookings), clean/spacious room, and very quiet. Everything I'm looking for in a hotel!
Max Lamee: Friendly professional staff and nice clean room. Couldn't have asked for more.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jackie Tracey: I booked a room a couple days ago and needed to adjust my reservation. It took less than a minute. I am so impressed with how easy they made this process for me!Service: 5/5 …More
WillnMandey Sauer: The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. They lose a star for having no breakfast, a star for the tub being so cracked I was afraid to use it, and a star for not having any kind of business center. They got one back because the young girl at the front desk was very friendly.I would also love to know why there's a dvd/vcr player combo in the room. Do people bring a lot of VHS tapes with them? Lmao!
Stephanie Wendt: Conveniently comes with everything you need and is in a good location. Friendly staff. Clean, although could use a good dusting. Shower/Tub diverter was broken, so could not take a bath. But at least the shower worked. 4/5 StarsRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Amy Rohrbach: Needed a room at 1am. They were super nice and made it happen for us. Always clean and nicely appointed. We love Candlewood.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet, Great value …More
Ed C: A long way from anywhere. Otherwise, okayRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Duane Edmonds: The rooms are nice and clean and the whole motel is kept clean and has a nice staff.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Poetic Oddities: My girlfriend and I have recently been displaced due to flooding and mold that was growing in our ceiling unbeknownst to us in our apartment. After much haggling, our apartment complex finally agreed to get us a hotel room for the night since our entire apartment smelled of mold. Our apartment complex was going to pay for this room until we found out that we can’t check in if you’re under 21. My girlfriend and I are both 19. After a long confusing day, I called this hotel (the one my apartment sent us to) and explained our situation. The first woman I talked to was very nice and asked for us to just wait while she transferred the line, however, the second person I spoke to was very rude and told us under no circumstances were we allowed into the hotel without “adult” supervision.I understand that rules are rules. I’m not upset that they were unable to accommodate us, but the way we were spoken to was absolutely unacceptable. Especially since we were just looking for a bit of guidance.
