Gretchen Paige: Fantastic auto repair service. My car broke down on way to Chicago and stopped here to see if they could troubleshoot. Jake jumped on it and quickly identified the problem which was quite extensive. They were able to take me in right away and had it all fixed within 24 hours. Additionally they checked other aspects and recommended additional preventive maintenance needed. Fair prices and just amazing, knowledgeable customer service.

Jacob Belknap: Brought my wife's Trax in for an oil change and fluid top off. Went to clean the windshield - no fluid in the reservoir. Made me wonder if they even did the oil change so I checked up on the sticker on the windshield, still the old one. Looked at the oil life % on the dash and still at 22%. Keep getting an email stating I'm due for an oil change from feldman saying I havent been in since early 2022. Don't think I'm going back to this place for an oil change, guess I'll do it myself from now on!

Frank Green: It was a pleasure dealing with the service department. Everyone was friendly, professional, and seemed committed to getting the repair done right and at a fair price. In particular, our service agent, Dan, did a great job.
Douglas Jones: First off I have been going to BUD KOUTS, since I first learned to drive and have purchased a majority of my cars there. This place ain't them. I brought my truck in for a very slight repair job to my hood on the truck. I had already contacted my insurance (first mistake) they sent thier estimate to the shop, replace grill, paint bumper, and fix hood. All because a traffic cone had hit me after another truck had hit it and the cone went flying and struck the truck. Now, Feldman told me they HAD to go by the insurance estimate. I explained those repairs were not needed. I would have figured they would call them and tell them of the situation. Nope...no communication to them. My truck sat for almost w weeks. They said the parts were ordered but did not know when they would be in. Talked with a manager named Jeff, he said he would look into it. He basically blamed the the company saying they had to go by the estimate the insurance gave them. Told him the only thing the truck needed was hood repair. I called the insurance company they told me that the repair shop needed to contact them. Basically, it was very poor communication between the shop and me. Sure I had a rental to drive. Bud KOUTS and later Feldman would give you a rental to drive, they don't do that anymore, because of covid (that was Feldman's excuse). I just feel I was not told all the facts straight away. So, I still have a damaged hood and a new repair shop. Only time will tell.

Mai M: I went in for a diagnostic test on my car (which was priced at $108) and somehow I ended with them keeping my car for almost three weeks trying to do more tests. They talk fast and around you. They did not tell me they were charging me extra for keeping my car. They also did not explicitly state that they were running additional tests. I wish they would have just told me they did not know what was wrong with my car after the first test so I could have had time to go elsewhere instead of cheating me out of $300. Scott Roberts: Dropped off for a simple oil change. They called and said they couldn't remove the skid plate. A screw was stripped and there would be this process in order to remove it correctly. $148. charge. I declined. Next day I went to Instant Oil Change. No issues.Service:Oil change
Tim Kylman: Picked up my Mom's truck after they installed transmission lines. The lines leaked the transmission blew. With less than 50 miles on the vehicle they said it was her fault and it would cost $5,000 dollars for a junk yard transmission no warranty or guarantee. We called a transmission shop $4500 Jasper remanufactured with warranty,When we went to have it towed the truck had the window broken out the transmission lines cut the catalytic converter removed and it was suspiciously parked two feet outside the camera range. They never HONORED there warranty. I give them two stars because I honestly believe they were telling the truth about no warranty on the transmission that blew because be of thier repair.

Mike Pizzo: Friendly, knowledgeable, honest shop with excellent service. Their labor rates are one of the lowest around and they don't charge a ridiculous markup on the parts. I had a 6,700.00 estimate from another shop, Auto Lab did everything plus more work that was found for 4,700.00 and offers a veterans discount. Sam the manager is a genuinely great person. I cannot recommend any other shop over the service you will receive at Auto Lab.
Ron Feher: Said they don't give quotes over the phone. That should have been my first sign. Like they don't have software that tells them how much parts are and how long it takes to put them on. I finally got them to give me a quote and dropped off the car cuz it was about what everybody else was charging. They called me the next day said they made a mistake and doubled the quote. As soon as I told them not to work on it I was coming to get it they proceeded to wait 20 minutes and call me back and take it back down to the original quote. Promptly went and picked up my vehicle. Those kind of sales tactics are so outdated and ridiculous I can't believe they thought anybody would go for that!Update: The bait and switch quote was double what 3 other shops quoted me. Funny the other 3 were all within $10 of each other. You called me back and reduced the price to what you originally quoted me that was the price the other 3 quoted me. Can you explain that away? You had my car so you thought you were going to hold me hostage. Not happening. Trying to work with you costed me 2 additional cab rides. Compltetly unprofessional and deceptive way to make double the profit on a repair. No need to talk further. I think we both know we won't be dealing with each other in the future. By the way it pays 1 hour. 4 bolts, How could you make a mistake on that?

j g: After a few days they returned with the same diagnosis I gave them at the beginning so a few wasted days isn't great but whatever. Then they quoted 2x to 3x the price for a part saying that was "his" price from Napa yet Napa's own website confirms Auto-lab is asking 2 to 3 times more. The part can be found on Amazon for 6x less than Auto-lab quoted. Had my vehicle towed to a more honest shop after talking with a rude manager (Sam) who just whined about how expensive it is to run his shop and how he needed his profits. Business owners and managers who whine about expenses are destined to run the place into the ground while blaming everything but their own decisions. Sure, making a profit is fine but trying to dramatically overcharge on an easily confirmed price is just bad management.

Angela “Ang” Calkins: Well I needed to have my electric looked at my taillights kept going on and off. Also air stopped working. Just to look at it was $200 and if I walked away from getting it fixed I would be out that but to fix just my air it was $800 that day my tail lights were both working😞 all for nothing and got my air fixed with new compressor I guess said to think it's a 2010 and almost 200000 miles is all I could afford and now my car is putting me more into the ground.

Brittany Hardy: I brought my car in at 9am for an electrical repair on my headlight, and an oil change because they said they would need it for most of the day. I called at 5pm because nobody had called me, and asked how much longer. They said they would call within the hour to pick it up, but they never called me back. I called a little before close, 4 times and nobody picked up. Not a call, or text from them. The next day, I call them when they opened, and they said they finished it yesterday, but couldn’t even fix the headlight! So they had my car all day and all they did was an oil change. They said the reason they never called back was because worked on it til close so nobody was there to call me🤦🏼♀️ Ive never been so upset at a business before. My mom was driving my car the tire just so happen to go flat so she pulled in to Valvoline this was 6pm march 17 and went to see if they could put a tire on, she was going to buy a new tire also. They told her no in stead of telling her to come back tomorrow she walked outside to see if good year could do it now and someone at firestone locked the door behind her!! Very unprofessional and it was all before closing time. So instead of getting our service and new tires we went to Tasmanian tire in holt.
D B: Honest review from a regular customer: In short, went to Firestone for my oil change on a Sunday (after calling on Friday asking for one over the weekend). I arrive on Sunday and I'm told that it was scheduled for the following Sunday. The head manager explained that there was no ill intent or wrongdoing on the part of the employee who scheduled it... Earth to said head manager, I understand that (I don't mean to be audacious, but you kept repeating this and I wasn't refuting it). I understand we make mistakes! My frustration is that from a company who speaks about the "Firestone family" and values customer service/experience, you as the manager couldn't apologize once or show any type of emotion that would reflect dissatisfaction on the part of the customer. As the manager, I would expect you to do at least one of the following 1. Apologize for the misunderstanding. 2. Check and see if there has been any cancelations. 3. Put me on a waitlist in the event that something opened up throughout the week. 4. Let me know that you are going to follow up with the employee to make sure that when confirming appointments with customers, a date is included. My car is a Chevy Spark and needed an oil change, usually takes max 20minutes to complete so I waited in the store after making an APPOINTMENT the day before. I ended up waiting in the store for TWO hours for a simple oil change. The mechanic told me they had the wrong filter and that it would just take a few more minutes, 30min later I was still waiting. I would not recommend this store or return the communication was not good. Becky V: Pulled in to pick up a tire we had ordered for a different vehicle. Found out we had an unrepairable flat(that had just happened on the way there). They were able to begin to put 4 new tires on within 15 min of this happening. Chris, the service manager, was above and beyond helpful especially since all of this was within an hour of closing time on a Saturday and they were already full.

Now I would like to know how to get my keys back out of the dropbox so that I can take my vehicle elsewhere?

Giovanni Pompilio: Couldn't be happier with the service I receive at this location. Rob in the front and his team of guys in the shop always have me leaving satisfied. I like to oversee the whole process to make sure it is done how I would do it myself and Rob and his guys are always accommodating to this and let me know what is being done at what time, continuously keeping me up to date. They go above and beyond for me and it is truly appreciated.
J B: Nice guys here. They do cheap $10 vehicle inspections, so it's great if you want to buy a used car.They are a bit more expensive than smaller mechanic places, but they also have set prices, so you won't be cheated. They also have more garage space, so you can get a quicker time.Shout out to the redheaded mechanic. He was very nice and explained everything in detail.
SteveJ: Made an appointment for 9 am to have my brakes serviced. An hour and a half later hadn't heard anything so I called them. Still didn't have an estimate. This is for a simple brake job. Finally, more than 2 hours after dropping the truck off they called with an estimate. I agreed and asked how much longer. They told me should be done by 1 pm. I walk to the shop just before 1 pm. Truck still being worked on. They finally bring it out a bit after 2 pm but when the employee tested the brakes one of the caliper assemblies came loose so back in the shop. Finally left there about 2:30. Five and a half hours for a brake job.Service:Brake service repair

I had an appointment at 9 am to get my tire alignment checked. at about 9:30 a technician (?) came out and said they mixed up my car with another lady so it will be slightly longer wait, but my car will be in next. after an hour, so at this point, 10:30 am, no one had said a word to me and my car was still in the lot. I just left, and the technician didn't really say much to be me about it. I am just disappointed because my time was wasted and no one seemed to care or offer a solution. passer by: After having a tire rotation service from a nearby Hyundai dealership, I sudden had a severe noise issue from the front part of my car, so I contacted the dealership, and only response I had from them was making an appointment after 2 weeks. I called a couple of auto repair centers and explained the situation, and also ask if my car could get checked on this issue. Some local centers said I have to pay around $65 to simply get it checked, but only Chris from Firestone recommended me to go to the dealership and ask them to repair because it is consumer's right, and he said he doesn't want to see me wasting money for this issue. I began to have credit on him and Firestone, so I visited Firestone to check the issue, and they found that one of lug nuts in my tire was not tightened properly, and fixed it. Since then, so far I have not had the issue. Most of all, Firestone provided this service free of charge. I have experienced so many different auto repair centers in different states, but I am confident that I have never seen this much conscientious technicians at least so far. I highly recommend Firestone in East Lansing, and if allowed, I'd like to give 10 stars!Service:Brake service repair

Alex Gerweck: After getting my car checked out elsewhere, I have to edit my initial review.The pros:-Every person I spoke to on the phone was kind, helpful, and patient.-They were honest about the fact that they couldn't help me if the problem was anything more than just a dead battery.-I wasn't charged for diagnostics, which surprised me.-They said that they couldn't help me with my problem, but they did give me a recommendation for a shop that could. (They were scheduled way out, so it didn't work out, but it was a good starting point.)The cons:-The diagnostics were free, but they were wrong. It was just a dead battery all along. So I had to spend an extra $100 to tow my car and a couple hours calling around to find someone who could change an alternator for a reasonable price, and none of that was necessary. When I told my roommate about it after I got my car back from the second shop, they said they went to this location a couple years back and had the same thing happen to them--their car supposedly had a good battery and bad alternator, but it turned out to be the other way around when they had it serviced at a different shop. An employee at the place that fixed my car had also met several people who had the same experience at this Firestone.I really do appreciate the customer service here. (It's the reason I took the time to write a complimentary review in the first place.) It's just not the place I would trust to have diagnostics done on a car that won't start.

Grace Gerloff: Stopped in for my first time today for an emergency fix on my gas door which was stuck. I had only needed someone to help pry my door open but instead Mike fashioned a new spring to help it pop open again in the future. Everyone at the shop was unbelievably kind and accommodating to me (and my little dog who happened to be with) and were able to fit me in while taking care of other clients. I am incredibly grateful to the entire staff and highly recommend the service at this family-owned business!

Steve Charteris: The good:I talked to Jared initially and he was knowledgeable and helped select the tires I needed. He said to call the following week since he had to order them.The not so good:I called Tuesday afternoon and was told the tires were in. I asked when I could come in and was told by the lady on the phone to come in at 8am and they can be done in an hour. I came in at 8am and was told it wouldn't be an hour. It ended up taking about 3.5 hours. This isn't an unreasonable time, the issue is being told it would be an hour. I don't need to be the top priority but I like to have reasonable expectations set so I can plan accordingly.The interesting:One of the tires sprung a leak and day i got it and I called. I was told to bring it in right away. I brought it in and the lady at the desk took my keys without saying a word to me. I just wanted to know what the plan was but got nothing. I wasn't in a bad mood when I came back (things happen) but I was after this. I think it is reasonable to want to know what the plan is when something like this happens.The tire technician fixed it and was very kind and knowledgeable though.This would be 5 stars if customer service was better, but 3 stars as it stands. I understand people can have off days so I wouldn't say don't bring your car here, but I just wanted to share the good and bad of my experience.

His opinion on matters involving vehicles holds weight.I put about 30k miles on my 18 foot trailer and diesel transit every year, so having a good general service place is a must. It's usually a massive headache, especially since I'm only home from Monday - Wednesday and travel for gigs Th-Sun. But Affordable Tire & Service Center is legit. Their prices are extremely fair and they have some real talent in their service staff. Everyone is knowledgable and friendly - and they always seem like they're having a good time. Jared, in particular, is a super friendly and helpful dude. They'll let you know if a particular fix is going to be an unnecessary expense, which I always super appreciate. They saved me a lot of money on repairs, diesel oil changes, and, of course, tire replacement (my rig has 10 tires in total).This is top notch local business and I'm certain you'll be more than pleased with your service.

C: The place was recommended but I guess is under new ownership. We had a leaking caliber. The price went up $100 by the time they found a caliper that was not leaking. I accepted that, however, when we picked up the car the steering wheel, door panel, and seat were covered in dirt and grease. I called them 2 times and never received a call back about how they left the car. Do not use these guys they have no respect for your vehicle. I will try to post the photos if possible.
Jamie Hall: My vehicle was having trouble staying on. Went here and they diagnose the problem is the water pump. The only reason I came here because the original owner were so good and reasonable fixing my vehicle in the past. Not knowing the original owner sold this place to some new owners. The charge me almost $600, part was only $100. So you can imagine what they charged in Labor. When I get in my vehicle the cover where my battery is was not put back on, live wires everywhere. My daughter almost step on them. I found dirty old rags in my back seat just total sloppy and unprofessional. I will never go back to this location. What they charged I should of got a free wash and wax SMDH.
