Shane Chadwell: I was having issues.I took my Cadillac up to leons two times. First time they said they couldn't find anything wrong with my transmission. Second time I had it up there they told me speed sensor. They had continued to tell me it was located on the inside and couldn't do anything about that. They quoted me 2-5k for a different transmission. My car wasn't worth putting that much money into it. So I sold it the next day considering I was not about to drop 2k or more into it. Then they had called me the next day saying that the speed sensor was in fact on the outside and that they could fix that.... but I already sold the car considering their professional feedback on the car. Now I'm out my car I loved because they didn't diagnose me properly. I won't ever take my car up here again.Service:Transmission

They diagnosed my car found no leak from the transmission but a loose engine oil drain nut left loose from my last oil change. Thank you for finding that. Fred Alexander: I took my vehicle to them and it took them a week to fix it. When the repairs were done my power steering went out the next day because they put the wrong fluid in my car. I was without a vehicle for an additional weekend because they were closed and when I took it back that Monday they kept it for an additional day. Now my vehicle vibrates on the highway and is severely out of line. To top it all off one of their mechanics stole my Samsung earbuds out of my car. Travis R: I purchased a Range Rover Evoque and had check engine light after check engine light. I took it to several shops and they never truly fixed my issue. On top of not fixing the issue, they actually made the issue worse. I took it to Redline, and Nick was very open about the road that we would be traveling down trying to chase the code. He was not only spot on to how we would find the remedy, but it worked! Furthermore, their prices were found to be very fair and worth the drive for me. Their staff was not only pleasant to work with, but a joy to speak with in the lobby. I was sitting in the lobby and Nick made two phone calls that stuck with me. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, but I heard him tell two customers that the job came in under the estimated price. Who does that anymore? Redline Auto Service, that's who. I found my place for my foreign vehicle, and I am going to be bringing him my domestic as well. I wait a day and my car is leaking more. I bring it to his attention and he gets loud with me and say I accused him over the phone . I told him just to fix whatever wrong and I'll pay when I get there.. he than puts the old part back on without my knowledge nd have a check for the part ready for me when I picked my car up. Josh Mac: Had my vehicle in for service, 400miles later the “repair” failed. So I had to pay for a tow and additional maintenance that the shop alleges were necessary. Yet no mention of an issue with the prior service. I’m certain you scammed me! 400miles and an alternator fails? Not likely.
Josh H.: Too much oil was put in the engine during oil change. I received a refund but no apology when I went to pick up the check. In the past I have left positive reviews for previous work that was done but I cannot give a good review this time around. I have taken numerous cars here to have work done but I won't be returning.

matt clara: I bought a used car and it started going clunk and I took it to Ryan's and they couldn't find the clunk, but on the way home it was even clunkier than before, so I took it to the dealer who found a bracket mounting the sway bar had come off (and in fairness, it was an intermittent problem until I drove home from Ryan's, so it was harder to diagnose up until that point) so I called Ryans and told them and they said well bring it back, we can beat their price plus a little extra to make it right, and that's what they did. When problems happen, the measure of the company is how well they deal with it, and you can't ask more than what Ryan's did in this case. They are fair and very honest and reasonably priced, too. They are good at what they do, have fair prices and most importantly they are honest and don't try to rip you off with nonsense.I've had a issue with a cracked rotor, the sounds after made me think I needed rotors and brakes replaced for sure. They didn't try to upsell me. They replaced the rotors and checked the brakes but they were in good condition and with plenty of life left. That kind of thing is just one example of how trustworthy they are.Recently my girlfriend had to take her car in for a weird issue and it was almost a year to the date from when that issue happened last time. Turns out they had a faulty part that failed early and they replaced it under warranty. No charge on both parts or labor and they had it fixed in two days. No arguing about warranties or anything... These folks stand by what they do even when it wasn't bad service but just a faulty part (not really thier fault)

I felt comfortable asking any questions I had and never felt like I was being taken advantage of for being a young woman with limited experience in the car repair arena. (That wasn't always my experience elsewhere.)--The estimate I got at Ryan's was lower than every other estimate I got--over $350 less than the highest quote from a competitor!--I was told it would probably be Wednesday or Thursday before they got to my car, but I actually got to drive it home earlier than expected on Tuesday evening.--The diagnostics here are more reliable than the first shop I went to. It turns out I just needed a new battery. They were honest about it and didn't do unnecessary work, and I saved hundreds more than I expected to.My car runs beautifully again (as much as a 22-year-old car that's been through the abuse of Michigan roads and weather can). Andrew Kenaan: Shop did a clutch replacement on my 2000 trans am. Got the car back leaking oil. Took it to another shop, come to find out they did a hack job. Pushed the freeze plug into the motor when they tried replacing the pilot bearing. Looks like they nicked up the crank and tried fitting a grinder in there. For a shop that only does transmissions, a sloppy job like that is unacceptable.

Rachel's Wig Reform: I am very impressed with the shift shop. They gave me a honest price and fixed my front differential quickly. Another transmission shop in Owosso quoted me 3x the price only to find out my front differential part has been discontinued. I would have to get a rebuilt part, the shift shop was honest about that and found me a part for $175. I have to wonder what the other shop was charging me for?? Thank you shift shop I will recommend you and continue doing business with you if needed.

MI Yukon: They stayed within their quote, they did the job in about a week, and explained to me how it works and what was wrong and how they fixed it. It was a lifted 2004 Yukon XL. Great family owned business, clean shop, friendly staff, cute dogs. My truck shifts perfectly now. DON'T pay any attention to that negative review, it was baseless, and likely never ever was a customer and just wanted to be a jerk to smear their perfect 5 star rating. I've been to lots of shops and mechanics in the 50 plus vehicles I've owned and this place is the one of only a couple I would rate 5 stars.
