They teach what they live and live what they teach. It's awesome to see men and women setting such amazing examples of Jesus in the flesh. william clark: I give 4 stars cuz nothing is perfect... but we don't complain about it, we only accept that all people... 'were all sinners', at that it's Christ who changes us, through His blood. And, I jumped onto a relative's site to say this.I just read a terrible review of this church that makes me ask a question: Do people realize we were all sinners before the people that decided to accept Christ, did... and we all (whether saved or not) still make mistakes or sin here or there, but not purposely... cuz we are not perfect until we will BE WITH OUR LORD and MADE PERFECT IN HIM okay... we may answer a question wrong or not be on target to do every exactly how it should or shouldn't be done... we may be so far away thought wise that we may not 'see a situation happening right in front of us'... maybe, we just got BAD NEWS of a person dying, or we were just verbally attacked by a person & we're in shock & personally wounded by a person's behavior that we are walking around in such disbelief & just can't emotionally process things that fast. We live in a time that 'being nice' is not the common practice. And the bible tells us that we need to be TOLERANT of others... but how many really DO THAT? so please TRY to tolerate this review.What critical reviews, what shamefulness from unhappy people to pick on people at in the churches where individuals are doing their best, not perfection... but their best. I attended Mt Hope Church in Lansing, for years. I worked in a ministries housed there. When you go to church, where is your mind at... looking for criticism to judge people? I was treated not right, at times, by one woman... BUT, we were raised in our family surroundings in different ways, different beliefs, my Dad beat me at times... don't know her family history... we had different responses to situations.. I LEARNED, 'I' HAD TO BE TOLERANT & UNDERSTAND. I didn't have a 'right to criticize her & she didn't me... 'TOLERANT' is the WORD to learn.Is your heart looking to HEAR the Word of God. Are you there to be a witness of God's love yourself? There is not one church on this planet that is perfect because we are not yet in the Kingdom above, we are on earth. And because of your wording used in your written review, it stands out that you are not familiar with Mount Hope Church, in how you referred to naming 'minister reverends'. I have phoned Mount Hope many times asking to speak with someone because I had personal problems going on & they helped me each time. I had been sitting in the hallway looking sick, which I was, and a person stopped & asked if I was alright & the person stayed with me & then kept checking on me. I believe everyone there does the best they can & they do not ignore situations/people. If a person had passed out & you or another person was sitting there with that ill person then why would yet another person be rude enough to stop & create a crowd situation, when you had it under control or you didn't stop a person walking by to ask for more help... if you needed it. And, you can't even imagine how much this church has helped behind-the-scenes with giving tons of food & etc. to the Lansing community & behind!!! Many Mount Hope Members have went to regions around the globe, spending their own money to get there & reach out to help other people to Know Christ! Your review,, to me, sounds like a false report of a mega church and like you were just running off your mouth to bash a church. Are you even a believer of the most high glorified God? The words you used and phrases you used in your review sounds like you only reviewed 'to publicly throw criticism at a church', not necessarily even at Mount Hope... but just at ANY church. I pray whole heartedly that you find a God focused church to attend and that you open your heart to God & that He ignites your soul to seek Him & that you come to know God through a soul saving relationship that changes your entire being into a new person in Christ. May God bless you to worship Him and accept His free gift of salvation & that you will know Him as your Father Almighty.

Leona Mayfield: I am so glad to apart of the movement that God is doing inside and outside of this place I call home but most of all FAMILY my relationship with my God is growing more and more I was introduce to the the church by Sheri Montgomery my life has changed in many ways and I am truly grateful pastor Kevin said on one Sunday to write down a desire in your heart and put it in your Bible and I did and received a answer the same week which was I got approved for a apartment that told me no the first time so between Sheri and my MH family I have have what I need my apartment is full and I am very safe here and I will be able to continue to go to church and still go sometimes on week days to help out which I enjoy a lot I would like to say a special thanks to team who help with the moving loading and unloading and etc also the church for the furniture let's not for get showing me how to be more Christ like I never felt like people here judge me because of my past pastor Geffory Bassett what a miracle happen in my life thank you for the phone call I will never forget it I hope some day to do the will of God by touching someone by giving them time to sit and listen to them to what move God want me to do to help them I know some days will be harder than others and that is when I will learn to use my faith thank you family for showing love but most of all introducing me to a new way of life

Audrey Abraham: Kind, loving, friendly, positive and relaxed environment. Great messages, praise and worship, prayer and healing services. Come as you are. Children's connect had amazing, fun, patient and loving staff. Kids love going. Spyn for 6th-12 grade has awesome staff that really knows how to connect with the kids and what they are going through today. Helps youth navigate in positive ways that honors God and is respectful to themselves.

Heather Brooks: Only attended for a funeral service, but it's a big, beautiful church. My best friends family has attended Mt. Hope for decades.

Trenton & Emilee Barnes: Full of authentic and relational people. I've attended LACC for about 5 years and love their constant drive to grow and love our community. Great kids programs every Sunday with lots of family support. I don't have children but still find support in their discipleship groups and amazing sermons. It's an awesome group of young families and singles. Highly recommend!

This is a practice I wish churches would stop doing, it's a waste of the churches money, it's not environmentally friendly, and it it is beyond irritating. If you have member's of your church doing this please ask them to stop!

Dana Ester: With a recent death in the family, my family member's home church did not have the capacity to accommodate all of her love ones and friend. Well South Church was gracious enough to offer their church for her home going ceremony. They had the capacity to welcome my family and maintain the orders in place for social distancing. And for that I am very grateful to South Church.

Chris Brown: Will always be my home church with one of the best teachers and brilliant theologians Pastor Dan D. He also has a heart of love for others. Been away for a few years but I miss my friends at South and miss Pastor Don‘s messages.

bgcham1: This is a Bible believing church. The minister shares from the Bible as the core of all he teaches. His sermons both inspire and convict. I like it that I can listen to the sermons online live or at a later time if I am out of town or sick. The music is wonderful. I believe they try to make all of the people who attend feel welcome and accepted. There are many opportunities to serve and be served.

Pastor Ron he delivers the message that needs to be said in amazing way he even tells it in away that everyone can understand. Pastor Ron and his wife Cindy and the whole church has support me and my husband every step of the way for our process for adoption and foster care its amazing. The church does so many things for the kids activity, they do delta rocks every year. We have a food pantry for family that needs help, and Christmas we help so many family's for Christmas.

Human Centered Society: Should sue this church for defamation of a good name. I went here a few services but found they they lied about Satan and his demons. That is a shame they are good and they are the true Gods of humanity. I dont know why this church would lie. I found their beliefs to be stiffening after awhile and quit. Shame. Go pick on someone else. Our true creator Satan means eternal truth in Sanskrit. It's a shame they lied.
