Peter Myers: Truly a great store. Looking for a host gift, and this was the exact right place to get one. We picked out some Michigan cherries, a bottle of maple bacon bourbon barbecue sauce, and a tea towel with the Michigan state bird on it. They carefully wrapped each item in tissue and arranged them in a free gift bag. The workers were helpful and so very nice. Great selection of gifty stuff and a huge selection of wine. I'm gonna go back and get that bottle of spicy honey.

The staff immediately started hawking us around the entire store and scolding us for lifting things to check prices. I am sorry if the shelves are packed so tightly with objects that we knock a tower of stacked soaps a little askew. I’m sorry if I wasn’t carrying my coach purse and didn’t look like someone who should be in your store. We won’t be returning. Bah Humbug.

However yesterday myself and my husband were shopping for our adult daughter , I liked several items and would have purchased them, however, I did not notice a sign on the tshirt display that states you are suppose to ask for assistance from an employee to look at tshirts, so an employee noticed I had a tshirt in my hand and scolded me for touching them!! Her tone and verbiage was very condescending! Needless to say we walked out without purchasing anything !

Saw this little local shop and noticed it had soaps and lotions. I loved the peppermint and lavander lotion, then I saw their apron and thought it was the coolest thing. I complimented it, raised my head up to smile at the staff. All 3 women behind the counter were staring and never broke a smile. My behavior was good, I didn't have anything on my face, I was dressed relaxed for a hot day as any 27 year old woman would, the new bohemian looks that are in style (quite relaxing and cute), clothes are in good shape, a nice hat to shade the sun, I don't smell, took a shower, wearing deodorant... So what was their deal? Idk but their behavior and lack of smiles really made me think twice about giving my business. I usually try and look over small things because we aren't perfect and I've worked customer service for a long time, so I understand. I am big about shopping local as much as possible, but I did not appreciate them staring at me like a clique of snobby girls in middle school.Not a big deal, when I visit my father I will take my business somewhere else. Didn't feel welcomed and couldn't even get a smile back. No common courtesy.

I bought some handmade cards that I really like. One was a thank you card that I used to give a gift card to my neighbor for helping me with some yard work. Irie Lott: I don't dislike the store but it is the only store in the area selling Catholic-specific items and the items they carry don't represent the diversity seen in the Catholic community. They cater to nuclear white families. Much of the printed material looks like it's from the 1950s. I tried to address this when I was in the store looking for a first communion card and the response I received was "that's what we get from the suppliers". Unsatisfied with that answer, I sent an email to the owner with my concerns and if they would be willing to look into purchasing from other distrributors, but I didn't even receive a response. Very disappointing.
