Country Stitches: what do users think?
Audrey Banks: We drove 45 minutes to check out the store, and we loved that they had so many choices of fabric that you wouldn't find in a big box store, but after an hour of being there not 1 time did an employee say hello or even ask if we needed help finding anything. This is why we left without spending a dime. It seems that only the regular customers received attention. We also witness an employee being impatient and obnoxious because her POS system had an error and needed more attention than the women who was having her fabric cut because she wanted to go on lunch. We won't make that trip again. I'll stick to Joann fabrics instead.
Carrie Smith: Large shop with a variety of sewing options. Wonderful and friendly staff.
Ed Wright: Had everything I needed and always does!
jackie hamilton: My granddaughter loved her sewing class!Everyone was so fun and made her feel welcome right awayHighly recommend
Jami Opalek: Worst place ever, way over priced, service is even worse. I have a pfaff that's only 2 months old and they wouldn't honor my warranty because I didn't purchase it there. I'm sorry cs but I'm not driving to California to have my machine serviced. It clearly states in the warranty that if your over 50 miles from place of purchase to go to the nearest certified pfaff repair place. All it takes is a simple phone call from cs to have my warranty transferred but they would not do that. It's all about the money with them. 🤬
Sandra Holbrook: I was amazed at the size of the store! They have everything you can think of. I took my designer epic in to get it fixed and ended up purchasing a 10 needle embroidery machine!
Christine Cobb: Very knowledgeable staff, the classes are amazing and the sales are worth it.
Bonnie Odonnell: Great staff. They all are so experienced and helpful!!
Gerald Hosford: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Ruth Songer: This company is so prosperous that it ignores potential new customers. I wonder if this kind of disregard extends to existing customers. Either way, don't bother with their "contact" button. They won't respond.
Frank Stewart: Cold food
Bruce Holt: Great selection and they have a reward program? There is always something new to see.
Pam Curtis: Very helpful and they have a large selection of material too.
Laura Batey: Beautiful selection of fabric, designs I have not seen any where else. Store is large, has carts for your intended fabrics. Maybe think about a seat for people waiting while others are shopping.
Betty Sweet: Jen was very helpful. Thank You
Jenny Crabill: This is an amazing quilting shop with many top brands of sewing machines and parts, bolts and bolts of beautiful fabrics, notions, threads and patterns galore, and too many inspirational sample items on display to count!I stumbled upon this gem about 3 months ago and just made the 1.5 hour trek back again - it's worth the drive! The gal who helped me even remembered me from the 1st trip! Bonus, they're actually open on Sundays which is rare for a quilt shop. A must-visit for quilters in the area.
Regi Gibson: Love
Pat Menhart Patrick: Great variety of top quality people, machines, fabric, and craft supplies... not to mention wonderful classes.
Daniel Millisor: Great store
Carole Higgins: They have a great selection of fabrics, notions and machine accessories. They are very pleasant and helpful.
Luann: Great fabric selection! And very helpful associates.

Seams Fabric: what do users think?
Grace C: The employee working was kind and extremely helpful. We had such a lovely chat about cats and she even gave me a free plant! The owner obviously puts a lot of care and love into the shops content and appearance. It's so nice to shop somewhere genuine!
Sarah Rapelje: This is my happy place! You always feel welcome! They have the best fabric! The quality is vastly superior to local sources. They are conscious of their sourcing, impact on the earth and sustainability. They are a true local treasure. If you get the opportunity to go do yourself a favor and check it out.
Tracy B: What a hidden gem, tucked away on the east side of Lansing, this little fabric store has the nicest fabrics. They carry a beautifully curated selection of natural materials, many I had only seen online. It’s so nice to see a store focus on Indy sewing and embroidery patterns, quality fabrics and excellent customer service. Hands down my favorite place to visit in Lansing.
Jeff Carlson: Very cool fabrics you wont find elsewhere very easily.
Laura Antonius: Seams is a wonderful store where it’s easy to spend a long time browsing. They have a great selection of high quality fabrics, embroidery supplies, sewing patterns for all ability levels, and some notions. It’s a small store so it can get crowded when there’s more than a few people. They offer classes periodically and the one that I took was really great - yes it’s a little pricey but you get hands on personal instruction from experienced teachers so definitely worth it.The service at Seams has been great every time I’ve been in. Staff is pleasant and helpful without being overbearing, they’re happy to let you browse away. When you do have questions you’ll find out that they are all extremely knowledgeable about their products and about sewing and textiles in general. 10/10 great place, will be back many more times.
Moeystar 232: Please don't go to Joann's, Michael's or Hobby Lobby for fashion fabrics. Support a local business and go here instead! Although their selection is a tad small, they carry beautiful, sustainable fabrics, notions, and patterns, all at a fair price. You're greeted INCREDIBLE customer service, and welcomed as a part of the local sewing community they're working to bolster. I absolutely love the fabric I purchased today and can't wait to go back!
Julie Powers: Popped in to check out the needlework section (small but well curated) and hung out with Jessy (the owner) as she was demonstrating indigo dye techniques. Love that we have this level of handcraft knowledge in the region!
Michelle Patterson: Nothing short of phenomenal customer service!!! Very helpful, patient and enthusiastic with answering all of my questions.
Rina Risper: Seams was the first business that I was aware of that mobilized to make masks during the pandemic. It was a great experience and coupled with their professional customer service and top notch products, I became hooked. Literally, I started stitching again. I purchased some embroidery kits and patterns. The store is well laid out and the colors and quality of the fabrics are fantastic. It is a must visit for lovers of sewing and needlework. The owner is in the photo.
Al: This shop is so incredibly lovely. The person who helped us was really kind and very willing to help. I loved their button collection and we got several little things. Totally a great place to check out.
Robert Jinksy: Amazing place for all your sewing needs. The person there was super helpful and they carry a ton of fabrics, threads, and sewing equipment. I will ne going there from now on. They are super knowledgeable!
Klaatu Nectarine: Really cool supplies!
Ivy Rose: cutest little fabric store. take all my money
Joanne Theis: I love this store, I love their fabric, staff is so warm, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The fabric I have purchased is impeccable and I love it.
Natasha Lawson: Super kinds helpful service with tons of fun fabrics, and embroidery kits. Will be back as soon as I finish the three projects I picked up today! 😂
Emily Leach: I love Seams! Such a great shop with helpful people, beautiful fabrics, and a lot of other really cool crafting/sewing necessities.
Whitney Herbert: The TARDIS of fabric stores -- it must be bigger on the inside, because I don't know how they fit so much amazing fabric into such a small space. But there are always 37 fabrics I need. The patterns are better than the generic ones you find in big box stores. And there's always fun gifty stuff for the sewists in your life. The shop is well curated, and run by extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. The owner is a true pillar of the community and gives back in too many ways to even count. We are truly lucky to have this store in our community!
Rebecca Froebe: I went to pick up my curbside order today, and an employee rushed outside to get my info before I could finish dialing the phone to let them know I was there!I've never seen such service!Everything in my order was perfect. :)
Nora Madden: Tiny but mighty! This store has expert (but kindly) sewists on staff, a surprisingly broad collection of fabrics (especially for garment sewing), and great extras like embroidery kits, iron-on patches, indie patterns, and notions. They do have some higher-end, harder-to-find garment fabrics (like Merchant and Mills), but lots of affordable workhorses as well, for all kinds of projects. They also have "eco-conscious" options like organic cotton thread and estate-sale fabrics, and great remnants. Despite being a boutique in a high-rent area, they are not at all snobby, and are no more expensive than the big sewing chain store in the nearby strip mall. Queer-friendly. Shares some space with the equally-great yarn shop next door.
Deb Donovan: I purchased fabric from Seams twice online. The website is easy to use and the design wall is a really handy feature if you're using more than one fabric for a project. The fabric I got was represented accurately on the website. I received my order sooner than I expected.
Kate McFarland: I love ordering from Seams! They have a great selection of garment fabrics, and some wonderfully fun and funky quilting fabrics, too. Shipping is fast, and the one time there was a small question about my order, the shop contacted me almost immediately to get the information they needed from me, and got my order out into the mail the next day. Seams fan for life!

Sticks & Strings Lansing: what do users think?
irishrozes: This is a hidden gem of a store and the owner is fabulous! Can't even say enough good things about this place. Helpful, informative, pleasant, clean store, wonderful selection, great prices! Just great!
Antoni Williams: Great place! The people there were fantastic and the goods were spectacular!
david marshall: I love sticks strings the teachers and Sabrina and Kathy r the best If they can teach ans old redneck how 2 crochet and knit they can teach anyone
Eve Vankirk: It isnt the building with the art on it, it is the little house next to the building. They have a large arrangement of yarn even but most of it is on the pricey end of things. It has been the only place I have seen size 2 yarn. The people were nice and friendly. Even with the house being a little cramped a good atmosphere. I have been visiting smaller yarns shop in the area and this one definitely stuck out.
Jim Ward: The most amazing place, wish I could take my mom there:)
Emma Morford: This place is a knitter's heaven. They have so many different kinds of yarn and gadgets for honestly lots of different needlecraft. They 2 ladies that work there are super friendly and give out helpful tips. Definitely love coming here more than ordering online 😉
Jill Redmond: Love this yarn shop! Kathy and Sabrina are always so helpful. They have a nice selection of fine yarns and patterns.
Tanna Meyers: Love, love, love this place!
Abbie Stevens: Lovely little local yarn shop! Kathy and Sabrina are so helpful and nice to chat with.
Hope Owens: I have had multiple problems with projects and Kathy has always cheerfully agreed to help me. I love her! I do pray the store will reopen soon!
Spell Wing: Easy parking, big selection of yarns, and plenty of notions (they have a button cubby that's quite eclectic) and friendly, cheerful staff.
Nathalie McGill: Great selection of yarn and they're very helpful and friendly. I'm not sure why the other review says they're out of business; they aren't.
Justin Garcia: Out of business

Dollar Tree: what do users think?
Debra Kipper: Nice people very helpful
Ronald Riffon: Dollar tree the turnup store, the best store ever go and have fun
Dennis Lardie: I still have a problem paying a $1.25 for $1 merchandise. That is a 25% increase in price and I read anything over 20% is price gouging.
Derek: 9:22 am. Employees were walking around in the store. One employee was having a cigarette outside the door but both doors were locked. Hours clearly posted state 9a-9p. It was raining so we left.
Carol Green: Lights were on, nobody's home. We came at a little before 7pm (within the store hours on the door) and the doors were just locked. Super weird. Saw the reviews with similar issues in the morning but in the evening? Wouldn't recommend.
Bloomin in Kindness: I've now watched 10 cars try to go to this store in the time it took me to make this post. I recognize some will call this is a karen type move my point is they could be doing way more business if they would be able to stay open.
Joseph Beasley: Izzy is a very hard worker!!Also very friendly and provides great customer service!
Island Ewert: Bummer it's all gone up but not their fault! Clean store, good service, same old deals
Rebecca Rook: I tried to stop in today at opening. I waited for 10 minutes and still no employee. The employee who did arrive at that time isn't given the keys. She could not reach the employee that is supposed to open the store.I think I waited for another 5 minutes before I left. I listened to other customers mention this has happened before. Why have hours posted if they aren't open on time?
Leona Jones: 10 am on thursday and not open
Phil Damico: I mean it's a dollar store. Interesting that even dollar stores are now raising their prices lol. Wow.But the cashier at the dollar tree in Frandor did a great job, they were kind, personable and fast workers. Pretty easy store to find what u need. All though being the holidays the store was VERY picked over and quite a bit of stuff was out of stock, lots of stuff was actually.Hope they pay their staff well as not only do they have to run the cash register but also stock the store as well. Probably why there's always a high turnover of employees there. The location is convenient, plenty of free parking. And perfect pace to get toilet.paper cause no one should ever pay more then a dollar for TP or u may as well be flushing money to.Overall if you're on a budget this is the place to go. Convenient being near MSU for students to.
D N: This the horrible dollar tree in Lansing . Stuff always on floor, cashier always outside smoking or always on the phone....
C. M.: Messy and very unorganized, boxes all over the place with some having items in them instead of it being put up on the shelves. The cashier sneezed into their hands, instead of using their shoulder, then went back to ringing customer's up (at least use some hand sanitizer if can't use your shoulder). Just starting to turn in to an unkept, dirty, and nasty location.
Dawn Pesino: Came twice this morning.. Store hours say they are open at 9.come at 930 and 1025 they are still not opened
Ashlie Weckle: If I am correct in which store I am thinking of...this is my favorite Dollar Tree.
Fatima Santoyo: 👍
Mark Kussro: Messiest Dollar Tree I've ever been in. Most shelves in disarray and appeared to have been multiple days of not being taken care of.
Amanda Farr: The store is always a mess but they always have what I need for want and have a helpful staff
David Thomas: Great place to go unless you get the cashier that's always on her cell phone
Thomas Harmon: I had a good shopping spree at this dollar store
Raymond Gill Jr: I had everything I wanted good prices get your greeting cards there great Hallmark cards two for a dollar 25 now also candy and food
