Lansing Parks & Recreation: what do users think?
Steve Rogers: Friendly staff
James Hunzicker: Maybe unlock some bathrooms at your parks so people aren't soiling them with human waste matter???Also, it is June. How about turning on some water fountains???
Bloomin in Kindness: My kids have some wonderful experiences through the many programs that are offered.
ttall yar: Lots of activities. Friendly staff!
Jennifer Bingham: My kids went to camp here for a couple weeks and then my son got booted for “behavior issues”.My son is on the autism spectrum which was notified to them upfront and in person. They chose to kick him out of camp at the end of a tues and not allow him back for some behavior issues. Understandable if they can’t train their staff well enough to handle all kids. They would not respond to emails from me or my husband or answer the phone for the person I was directed to about getting a refund. So they kept a full weeks fee for camp and after care for both my children when they wouldn’t allow them back. Both kids were super disappointed and heart broken. I had to find last min child care and miss work due to not being able to find anything. My daughter couldn’t go back because I couldn’t take them to separate child care. They also talked negative about my son right in front of him and expected my daughter to have intervened with the behaviors and referred to her just sitting there. She’s 7! We had just moved to Michigan and this is the first impressions we got. Sad that other children who were causing issues and biting were allowed to still come but not my son for his issues.
Virginia Workman: Kids had a blast very clean and in a good neighborhood
Melynda Christle: Thelma is a front line worker, working hard to get our school children fed.. She is an amazing lady..
Jesus Saves: BEWARE! Teachers at "Homeschool Days at Foster" are malicious. Gossiping about your kids being your backs, including confidential information. Untrained staff provides subpar instruction to kids and usually have no clue how to manage kids, particularly quirky ones. Programming is what you would expect from a city that doesn't invest dollars into facilities nor communities. Teachers and staff do not communicate effectively to parents.
Sean Eman: Lame
Joe Nehls: Great park but they won't let you bury your pets there so don't even try.
James: Clean building, friendly and helpful staff.
Parabola “Fuk Sheet Up” 100: The TV show is pretty good
Lauren Clarke: Belly dance classes with Garnett are amazing! The opportunity to learn with a professional who has performed and taught all over the United States is priceless! Lots of fun too!
Melanie Rogers: I have enjoyed taking classes through Lansing Parks and Rec since 2000.
Demphna Krikorian: Love the River Trail
Randy Barton: We have had a great experience with the Park's and Rec sports.

Crego Park: what do users think?
Veronica Marshall: Nice place
Brian Bridson: There were only 2 picnic tables (that we saw) and they were were filthy. Nice view of the pond.
Sarah: I loved this park even before the walkways and improvements, great if u love nature or taking walks with or without ur furry animal, picnic tables, kayak launch, fishing, bird watching, access to the river walk, even off beaten trails in the woods. They have a porter Potter for restrooms.
Nikolai Belinski: My absolute favorite park in the lansing area! Great trails to walk. Very peaceful and allows you to reconnect with nature.
pauline Sandoval: Beautiful spot with lake for canoeing and swimming!Very family oriented !!♡
Michael: No fish yet but the scenery is beautiful.
Phillis Mullins: Pretty and peaceful.
Jesse Tompkins: Great place to take a kid fishing or take a nature work.
Anthony Umble: It's just a nice place to walk around.

Stephanie Jordan: Nice peaceful walk. 2 fishing piers to fish
Diana: Beautifully refreshing walk along the Grand River
Patrick A: Picnic area: Nice fall colors for a daytime picnic at the table they had set up
Shihab Shahriar: Restrooms: Bad
Lisa Le: Beautiful place to take a stroll and the water looks clean
Gwen Henry: Love it!!!!
Genielyn Eaton: Very nice place. Took my dog their for her first birthday and she had her first swim
David Cervantes Pérez: Great area
Doug Burruss: Nice place to fish, swim and kiacking.
Pamela Miller: Beautiful
Rob Burghdoff: Small park. Good place for fishing off a small pier, kayaking and they have a spot to hang hammocks. Not much for hiking but some paved paths along the walk way.

Lake Lansing Park North: what do users think?
Heather Field: Beautiful park with trails to walk. Lots of shade
Island Ewert: Perfect for a leisurely walk in any season!
Diane: Beautiful, tranquil place to walk. There are lots of roots and it is muddy after rain. Lots of improvements taking place this summer to comply with the ADA. I'm disappointed to see that an electronic gate is going to be installed.
Robert Lawrence: Fun pitch and put short course. Beginners to slightly advanced lines.
dawn ridge: There are nice hiking trails here. It's a mix of woods and swamp land.Playground: Small jungle gym and swing set.Restrooms: Restrooms are cleanDog-friendliness: I seen many dogs on the trailPicnic area: There is an area with grills and tables
Nathan Wilkie: The park opens shortly before sunset and closes slightly after sunset. The park offers a variety of services including disc golf, shelter rentals (3), hiking trails, a baseball diamond, and a playground. The disc golf course is 18 holes but they are all relatively short par 3. The hiking trails have some variety with the red trail being the shortest and the blue trail being the longest. My personal favorite trail is the orange trail which splits off from the green blue trail.I work here, regularly closing the park. Occasionally there are ruts that form at the entry which are graded regularly but do be cautious as you enter. The springtime offers a look at many nesting birds such as Sand Hill Cranes and Canadian Geese. The sunset over the marsh from just west of the main shelter is perhaps the best view of the sunset in the area. The restrooms are closed for a portion of the year due to freezing conditions and take some time to be un-winterized.There are 2 fire pits near the main shelter with ample firewood provided.Picnic area: There are 3 picnic locations. The main shelter, Oak Knoll, and Sand Hill. The main shelter is the largest space with many picnic tables provided. Oak Knoll and Sand hill are roughly half the size of the main shelter. Oak Knoll is slightly more out of the way than Sand Hill, and is at the end of the blue/green trail. Sand Hill is closer to the entry for the trails and the playground.
Austin Alexander: Cool disc golf course, a good way to spend an afternoon. You may have to pay for parking and to play DG
Richard Hill-Rowley: Beautiful sunny day. The blue loop is about three and a half miles. Varied trails through the woods
Gary: Nice course
James Jenks: The new disc golf course is amazing. Great addition to the park.
Doug Prizer: Very nice new Disc Golf course.
Jennifer Ferenc: Wonderful place to relax and take in nature.Playground: Wooden playground with slides great condition 😀Restrooms: CleanPicnic area: Several picnic areas
Leyton Macleod: Nice service
Jase Arz: New disc course in Lansing
Dorian: They've recently done a lot of work out here
M G (mngrif): A well kept and well loved park with a variety of easy trails to explore.
Geoff Charbeneau: First time at the park. The trail was a nice walk, however the trail system is completely confusing. As you travel there are not any mile markers to give you an idea of where you are and how far back to where you came from. We were supposed to be on a loop. Ended coming out in an adjacent subdivision. Not a great experience considering we thought we were lost the entire time. Other than that, small snakes everywhere. Not sure if that is normal.
Catherine Nicholas: Love that they paint roots pink so they are visible! Clean restrooms
Christine Aiello: I'd give this park a better rating if it weren't for the appallingly bad or just plain absent maps/trail guidance. My husband and I rarely come here and today I was reminded why: You can easily end up lost and walking muuuuch farther than you intended. The only trail map, (a sad and abused thing situated at a key intersection faaaaar up the trail, where you've begun to wonder how much longer you can hold your bladder), doesn't even identify your location (...just try interpreting a trail map without that little detail). I'm sure park funds are tight, but how much would it cost to paint "you are here" on the dang map?
John Hopkins: The main pavilion had fire pits with stocked witch I thought was pretty nice
ALPHIE DRACULA: A+ GRADE

Hawk Island Park: what do users think?
Tahir Haddad: Amazing place for picnic 🙂
tony harris: Great place to relax love this park
Vicki Mwangi: SerenePicnic area: Very well maintained
Vinzon Lee: Nice park! Good scenery!
Michelle Mason: Beautiful park while visiting Lansing, Michigan. Has been trail and picnic area around a beautiful lake.Playground: Though on an early school day, I noticed a family on play ground/ picnic area and appeared to be preparing for a children's party.Restrooms: Certain bathrooms closed during off season.Picnic area: See above. Not sure about grilling
Carrie Hill: Just beautiful. Great for a picnic, walking, biking, etc.
Kate B: The splash pad is great! Need more shaded areas...
orphanedhanyou: Lovely park layout & nature but the front bathrooms are "closed for the season" in May? Taxpayers pay for entry to their own park for only one open bathroom (which had rusted and crumbling facilities)? On top of this several areas of the park had more litter than expected plus Sycamore Creek had multiple areas with downed trees & branches just piled with trapped trash. Hope a city clean up will get organized.
Deborah Moomaw: I used to take my family here years ago during the summer. We always had a good time. There are so many activities at the park: splash pad, swimming lake with row boats, fishing, sand volleyball and badminton net area, grassy area to fly a frisbee, and a wooden playground.Picnic area: Picnic tables around park, concession bar, some tables under umbrellas near splash pad.
Eli's_ BR549: Beautiful place to go fishing, walking, bike rides, etc....
Justice Team: Hawk Island is a Beautiful park and Soldan fenced dog park was great. Lakes and all! Jake had so much fun with the other dogs and splashing in the water! Thank you!
Cinnamon SpiceFox: Didn't catch any fish but it was a beautiful day
Kelly Krueger: Love this park!
Nolan Saros: Fun
Jane Ventsias: Great place to pretend you're not in the city. The dog park is amazing!
Bloomin in Kindness: My kids and I go on walks here all of the time. Can't wait for warmer weather so we can enjoy the beach.
Coqui Ta: Beautiful clean trails make a more enjoyable walk. I'm giving it 4 stars because their tubing reservations system leaves a lot to be desired, this time of year
KRISTEN L: Ran the pi day 5k here on Saturday. Nice little park. Trails were all clear except the boardwalk around the lake. Trails are very well marked. Actual rest rooms (so I don't know if they were just open for the race worth are open all year). Nice play equipment and plenty of parking
L: On Friday, March 3rd 2023 at 5p i purchased 5 tickets ($55) for a time slot of 4p-6p for Saturday, March 4th 2023.When my family arrived on March 4th at 3p (ish) I was told i am not on the list. I showed "Shelby" my confirmation email and she said, "you are a day late. those were for yesterday."i looked at the email and was shocked, I said, ""why would i buy 4p tickets at 5p!" she said that they were filled up but i could wait around and possibly the last 15-30 min we could go. i let her know, that $55 dollars is not worthy of a potential 15 min of tubing and i asked if i could have a refund. "I dont do that" i asked if i could speak to a manager and she called a christina. i could hear cristina on the phone and she said the same thing. i asked if christina could come here to speak to me and she said she would.i waited around for over 30 minutes. i asked if she can be called again to let her know im still waiting.christina spoke with me, "Im on my lunch and im not coming there to discuss with you. this is the deal, its like when you buy 10 movie theatre tickets, 10 people come and there is no room for others, thats the same im telling you."i said, "can i explain your computer scheduling issue and what happened" she said the computer scheduling issue is not here, "you can try to talk to someone on Monday about this." she had a laugh in her voice.I had again explained, "you cant allow my 3 kids to enjoy the tubing since we drove an hour here." i didnt care about my ticket or my husbands at that time.she said, "no"this was beyond hurtful, lack of empathy, no customer service, controlling and they should be embarrassed. they made it to we will never visit again and i will be sharing this experience with multiple social media reviews/friends/etci hope their behavior makes it to the proper chain in command and perhaps some customer service classes/training.
Jessicia Venture: Amazing trails, dog friendly (even dog water fountains! ) can't wait till summer to rent boats!
Laura W: Love this park. Lots of memories with my boys here! Trails, paved trails, water, fishing, paddle boats, beach, playground, water pad, nature in the heart of Lansing 💗

Ehinger Park: what do users think?
Kurt Henderson: Great small park with tons of shade.
Charleston Burks: Great park for the kids. They enjoyed it a lot and made some new friends.
Mary Morrison: Beautiful small park in historic district of Lansing. Small playground and picnic table there.
Mark Grebner: Small, and with minimal play equipment. Hemmed in on all sides by houses, so it's necessary to keep the noise down. Very much a neighborhood vest pocket park.
Melanie Snyder Lindblom: Cute park, with swings, slide and climbing wall for youth and merry go round with metal roping for climbing. Two picnic tables. Lots of mosquitos so bring spray.
Gary R. Zemer Zemer: I drive by the park frequently but haven't been there in quite a while . But my experience was it is a very nice park.
L: Very pretty with nice foot paths.
Nate: Small neighborhood park

Adado Riverfront Park: what do users think?
Chloe Brown: Good place to visit
Jon Jakarai Franklin: 💕
Steve B: This place is a blast perfect for your next special Event.
leonard barlow: Dog-friendliness: they have an enclosed fence where you can let your dogs play
Kurt Lambright: It's a cool park in the downtown area. Unfortunately, the good is also the bad. Homeless camps are often in or near here as well as the crime rate in the area leaves some to be desired.
Jeff Panaka: A beautiful park right on the Grand River. There is an old amphitheater in this park hidden beneath some pines. It reminds me of Rome and it speaks of a past now gone. It’s a relic of some bygone times. 5/5.
Loretta Sanchez: IT IS SO POLUTED !!!Needs attention 😪
Ted Wiborn: You will have to deal with homeless people hanging in the area. Do not be surprised if you are asked for money while there from homeless people.
Sean Conover: This park was way better before the cops started disconnecting the outlets to discourage people from hanging out.
Ahmadou Alain Mbow (BEAUTY): Cool place 😍
Shameka Terry: I used to live in the nearby apartments so, I spent a lot of time in this park. The Riverwalk leads to 2 playgrounds for kids, you can feed the ducks, and walk into old oldtown. This is on my list of wallet friendly fun.
Brandon Scott: Big open space on the river. Grass is maintained.
Chris Templeton: Amazing
Dawn Pesino: Love crossing this at night was all lit up they have wonderful concerts and different shows there
eduardo maceo: Es un buen lugar para caminar y despejar la mente. También tiene espacios donde te puedes sentar y tener una agradable conversación junto a tu pareja, familia amigos.
kirk phifer: Love this place. honestly my favorite place to go in Lansing such cool surroundings and the bridge is amazing.
Cody Paseka: Great park to enjoy. Lots of events happen here also...
Justin Nelson: Love wrestling there
Nicholl Rae: The weather had an impact this day. Not many people and of course things were pricey but overall a nice area for events.
Jesse Torres: Nice park trails and enough room for bikes and walkers. If you can make your way up to the fish ladder it is something to see.
James white: Boring

Keith Tarrow: Disc golf has new baskets
Chris M: Grand woods is where I started playing and played for many years. Its a decent course that's pretty challenging (for me) with lots of water. Lost hundreds dollars worth of discs here over the years. Came back this year after not playing it in nearly 10 years and its been upgraded a bit, definitely the baskets, theyre super nice

William Thorsson: A wonderful place to picnic for an afternoon.
Robert Holmes: Very nice county park. There are plenty of picnic tables and grills. A bandshell, performances Fridays at 7 during the summer.

Nolan Williams: Great dock with a deck that we use for birding?
Lisa LAD: What a beautiful park! Kudos to Lansing for making such a wonderful place for families to create memories! Lovely lake, ice cream shop, rent a Swan paddle boat, fishing...just lovely.Playground: Kids won't get board here all day long!Restrooms: Nice large restrooms off of the concession stands.Dog-friendliness: Say's no but I see folks bringing them on a leash. Just clean up after and pups may go unnoticed!
Dan Slater: This was the best day of 2022, the president of the company I work for too all my co-workers and I to the lake and went tubing. It was the most fun I had had since I had been in recovery. It was a special day because everyone that I work with was here and I can’t say in words how important each person I work with is to me. Lake Lansing is an awesome place to hangout with family and friends and go tubing.
M Nasser: Very nice park and lake. It was beautiful in the summer as well in the winter. But it was very cold and lake is frozen.
Brandon Miller: Great family spot or just to take a walk enjoying the views of lake Lansing. They offer rentals. this park was also the site of a former amusement park.
Bill Rouse: Very nice park. We rented the lake view pavilion for a company BBQ and it was perfect. Near the lake and not far from nature trails. Was a great park and we willcbe back. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is they have signs posted that your not allowed to bring your pets and I didn't know that beforehand so my dog had to stay in the truck the whole time.Dog-friendliness: Signs said no pets
Nick Shorkey: Great place for families. Pavilions, beach area, play area, anough room to spread out and relax. Great views and very friendly.
Michael Spalding: Nice place for a family or organizational mandatory fun day!
Jacob Sackleh: Enjoyed this place quite a bit but was confused by the blocking off of certain sections of the play structure. Really nice area and I love that it's by the water.
Sonia Campos: It's so pretty and there is something about the water and smelling it, hearing it and looking at it. I go there quite often. To gather my thoughts
Lanah Bogard: We had a great time, family reunion in the Pavillion. Wonderful park with alot of annemnities. Highly recommended
Anthony Johnson: I didn't know lake Lansing dog friendly I didn't know you can bring your dogs into lake Lansing
Cathy Isaac: Restrooms: Adequate flush toilets. Clean. Signs to ensure that you know where your dogs are allowed. Large picnic area with tables and grill. Wonderful water. Very pretty place. Fishing I believe cause I seen people fishing off walkway dock. $3.00 day use.
Shafaq Gill: I loved it. Mesmerizing!
