raven manzella: I was surprised by the bad reviews. I have been to this urgent care 3 different times in the last 6 months, all for different reasons and have never waited more than 12 minutes to be seen. As for the review that they do not have wheelchairs, thats just false...there are many. Anyway, every time I visit this urgent care I am met with effective and efficient medical care. Nothing but professionalism at this place. I would (and have) recommended this Urgent care to friends and family (especially over the frandor urgent care).
P K: Who is managing this place? They have the worst service I have ever experienced, and they are an urgent care! I was literally told that they could not see me 15 mins before they closed because “they were busy” and closed in 15 minutes. Ummm what? Yes, you are an urgent care, and you may get busy, and? Maybe they should update their hours saying, takes last patient at (insert time here). Saying you close at 6pm has me believing your office will be open until that time. Not pick and chose who you are seeing before the end of the day. I don’t believe it had anything to do with them being busy but that they just wanted to get out early, it was a beautiful day! Regardless, I will be back tomorrow right when they open, can’t wait!!

Anna Morris: March 16, 2016 I fell at a nearby business. I was loaded into my daughters car by two young men. This emergency facility does not have a wheelchair!!? The staff argued among themselves about who would come out and help me get inside. My daughter said they were all rude. The one lady who came out wanted me to just "hop" on in there! Come on really? I weight 120 lbs. and nobody wanted to touch me. Very uncaring group of humanity there! We left and went elsewhere!

Erica Edwards: I signed my son up online to see him for a medical appointment, and the machine said walk-ins are 180 minutes to 201 minutes. I went two blocks over to complete the registration because my phone didn’t work in the area, and someone from the registration desk called me and told me if I was not back within five minutes, the appointment would be canceled. She said that the machine lags sometimes. They need to get that fix. The young ladies sitting at the front desk do not even attempt to inform you the machine is not accurate. They barely even say hello. Customer service is for the birds these days. 👎

I wish they could be my primary care!Made an online appointment for my teen daughter. Got in quickly. Very thorough! They even added me in testing for strep & mono. The staff were all amazing!! Kathy Selden: I registered online before arriving (Tuesday evening). When I arrived, it said I had 20-30 min wait. I waited in the lobby about 7 minutes before being called in. Staff did my history, took my vitals. Within 5 minutes of her leaving, a gal came in, did the physical check up (I was there for a respiratory infection), told me she was ordering an oral antibiotic and antibiotic eye drops, explained that it could also be viral and likely was if it didn’t improve after 3-4 days on antibiotics. Shortly after she left, another gal came in, reviewed the meds and how I was to take them and confirmed the pharmacy. I checked out. Was there about 40 minutes total. All staff were very professional and efficient. Excellent experience. I will be back if I need care again.

Samantha Mullins: Absolutely terribly. I went here yesterday with severe breathing/lung pain and a pretty bad cough. The doctor didn’t seem to care. Listened to my lungs for a good 10 seconds, looked in my nose and down my throat and told me it was an upper respiratory infection. What did she do? She gave me .25mg of Dexamethasone and sent me on my way. No medication to take home or anything. So I had to take ANOTHER day off of work today to go to my primary, thay prescribed me an inhaler, antibiotics, and cough medication. My primary was genuinely in shock that the urgent care doctor gave me such a small dose of steroids and nothing else. I have been MISERABLE, I have asthma and anytime I get sick like this I CANNOT breathe. I expressed this to the urgent care doctor and they didn’t seem to care. I thought sparrow was worse but honestly after my visit here yesterday? I’d much rather go to sparrow.

All i was told was to take advil and tynonel. It has not helped at all. Im sitting here crying to sleep because of how much pain im in. The effort to go to another urgent care is so hard. I drove my car while dizzy, you guys couldve gave me something to feel better. I literally can not blow out my nose. I cant hear in one ear as well and I told you this. Was told to come back after 2 days if I felt worse. May god help me get better. Ill be heading to a different urgent care

Jeff Wagner: I wish I could give 0 stars. HORRIBLE medical care. It's a referral mill for sparrow. Even steers you towards their pharmacy. Literally wont write a prescription for you unless you say you use Sparrow pharmacy. Criminal behavior.
Matthew Ross: Absolute criminals, went to hospital and was seen. I have no insurance and filled out paperwork for sparrow and my debts were covered because of my income. Fast forward a year later, I am notified of a garnishment from these criminals. No letter to appear to court to plead my case nothing. A year and a half later they are charging so much interest my debt just keeps increasing. This is absolutely pathetic and unacceptable. Sparrow gets tax breaks for not going after the uninsured and they walk around that by selling off the debt to an outside company.
blackhawk81: I was notified that my account went to collections and that I owed $950. Never saw a bill. Apparently Sparrow hires doctors that are legally allowed to charge you separately WITHOUT sending a bill, in addition to being charged for your actual hospital bill. Ridiculous.

Michael Wood: This group of physicians is out for blood. They are not above suing the indigent. I was physically injured when I presented for high blood sugar. The physician attending to me caused bodily harm during an exam and then did not note the exam took place. If you were to ask me it was intentional because I am a man. I filed a complaint and and have not heard another word from this place in regards to their findings. I will never go back there unless it is against my will.
Joe: Got a call from a collection agency regarding an alleged outstanding invoice from emergency medical associates. I never received such invoice. My wife tried to call ema but they refused to talk to her. When I called, they said they could not help me unless I had an account number. I explained that I never received a bill and have no account number but that simply was trying to figure out if I owed them money. They said without an account number they cannot help and hung up on me. I guess they're not getting paid.

Yes you often have to check for times early because they can fill quickly, but honestly still faster than trying to get an appointment with our family doctor.My ONLY complaint, and yes it’s MINOR, is whatever air freshener they use in the lobby. It’s quite strong and I’m very sensitive to anything scented, and it often will trigger allergic reactions and headaches for me. I’m sure there are others out there that can’t tolerate scented air fresheners. I’ve experienced this in all locations visited (mostly frandor, west side, bath/haslett, and Dewitt).But other than that yes, we enjoy our encounters at LUC.

The PA was clear and concise. You can tell both the MA and PA are experienced in working with children. Very positive experience.

Abby Mondro: I have a hard time finding an urgent care around my school (MSU) that doesn’t have a 4 hour wait due to all of the students, but this urgent care was clean, quiet, staff were friendly and helpful, doctors took their time looking at your condition(s) and I was in and out within 30 minutes with a prescription. This location is definitely going to be my new urgent care when I am at school.

Katie Grenan: I went in to urgent care yesterday with an incredibly sore throat. They were quick to get me in a room, tested for strep, and then realized I was dehydrated as well. They were so kind and patient with me. They went above and beyond to get me treated and feeling 90% better before I left. This was probably the best experience I’ve had at an urgent care!

Jazmyn Denise: They don’t have enough workers, rooms, or sympathy for their patients. Rather get you in and out quickly regardless if they help you or not.
Brodreck Patrick: Very very neglectful.
Jamie Kimble: 2 nurses in charge of 20 patients waiting in the hallway, and 10 more in the waiting room. The medical care that I got was good, but this is the least efficient hospital I’ve ever seen. Thankfully, my injury wasn’t life threatening, so I could be here for 7 hours for one test. I would never come here again for anything more serious.(Nurses and my PA were great, but stupidly overworked and fighting a losing battle)I waited two full hours just to be discharged, while there were people actively waiting for a chair in the waiting room. Understaffed and overfilled, you also get zero privacy while talking about your medical history and symptoms, as everybody is just literally lined up in a random hallway in armchairs. Exceedingly inefficient, I was angry at this hospital’s administration the entire time I was there.

Then was told I’m not allowed back there with her at all! But is allowing other people back there! Don’t come here everyone is super rude and is totally not professional!!!

Carrie Boelcke: If you’re needing an ER, you may want to leave Lansing entirely. I was there from 12 am until 5 am. My IV ran empty for 40 minutes, wasn’t offered a new one, and I was stuck in a waiting room with 20+ people— including the man next to me who was non-stop vomiting. After I hit the 4 hour mark I asked a nurse for an update, and they basically said they had forgotten about me as a joke. Turned out I had an ovarian cyst that was hemorrhaging. They said they needed further testing that would require me being there another 5 hours. So, I left and went back to my hometowns hospital where they treated me properly.
Cathy Lee: A one is too high. My 90 year old mother with dementia came down with Covid and my husband called to make sure they would let me stay with my mom. After checking in they told me I would have to leave and I said, no they told me I could stay and I wasn’t going to allow my mom to sign until I was sure. The gal at admitting went away for a minute and then came back and lied to me saying she got permission just to get me to sign. The charge nurse AJ was sooo rude and told me I would have to leave and said many other rude things and that I couldn’t stay with my mom so I grabbed her and wheeled her out and drove her to real hospital. Beaumont Royal Oak and they have been so nice and they couldn’t believe they wouldn’t let me stay with my mom. Night and day difference between hospitals. I think AJ and the girl in admitting should be put on probation and written up for their actions.
Jordyn Berends: Called to see an estimate on wait time due to these reviews and the hospital said not a problem they would connect me to the emergency room. After waiting on hold the lady who picked up was rude and told me she couldn’t give a waiting time and I asked for an estimate and she just said “no.” How is this place still in business? I called clearly sick and in distress and got treated so rudely.
Haley Dyce: Brian and Debbie were awesome but pretty much everyone else was clueless or absolutely disrespectful. The lady working the first desk when you enter the ER (Janine I think) thought that the achilles tendon was in the knee and when she was corrected by the patient she got extremely rude and defensive. Wait times were awful and no one listened when the patient was explaining what happened. They even screwed up which ankle needed to be Xrayed, luckily Debbie who did the Xray did it correctly. Pretty horrible experience overall.

If you are looking to be verbally assaulted and humiliated whilst naked, threatened several times, talked about with staff within earshot and refused treatment with no explanation then this is the place for you. The way J.JOSEPH treated and spoke to my 21 year old daughter is absolutely unacceptable and a insult to others in the medical/healthcare profession. Bree C: This hospital has no regard for human life at all. They will make you sit in the waiting room for 6 hours and then make you wait in a HALLWAY in chairs that are so uncomfortable for another 4 hours. Better off staying home because they will let you suffer in the waiting room. NEVER GO HERE.

Olivia Jackson: I sat on a bed in the hallway for 7 hours. I came in with severe depression and anxiety and while I was sitting in this hallway there were two really loud and disruptive patients on either side of me yelling for hours. I had several anxiety attacks throughout this time and the countless staff that walked by me didn’t try to help. In triage I felt like I had no privacy at all, everyone could hear all the question being asked and answered. No privacy, no empathy, no care. Horrible experience. Go elsewhere if you can help it.
Mikayla Love: WORST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE. I took my sister to the ER here recently. I am going to be making a complaint about the nurses we encountered. I can’t believe this place is in operation. The way these people treated us was so wrong. I am still disgusted and it’s been a whole week.

Corina Mae: I went to the ED at Sparrow with an ear infection, a blocked ear, loss of hearing and pain. Sparrow apparently has an ENT specialist on call M-F 8-5.I waited 4 hours, a nurse tried to irrigate my ear, but got frustrated and decided to call the specialist, who refused to come down and help me. He told the nurse to tell me to go home and continue to irrigate my ear with hydrogen peroxide and follow up with my regular ENT specialist. Why is he getting paid to be on call, and when a patient needs help he refuses to come and earn his paycheck .I am disgusted by this experience. I hope I never have to go there again.
Blessing Thornton: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Been waiting in the PEDIACTRIC emergency room for 2 hours with a 3 year old. Can you guys please do your job.
