Scott Scotson: This place made my little girl cry! But I'm pretty sure that's normal considering she received immunizations.I do have to note that the nurse who gave the shots was so pretty and I didn't want to stop observing the art before me. Wow. Tall and super long hair.

Dylan: I ran half a mile to the Olin Health Center from my dorm after experiencing an allergic reaction and seeking help. The lady at the reception was clearly untrained to handle situations like this and told me that no one was available to help me, even though i was clearly in distress, losing my voice, hand on my throat pleading for help. I asked her to go get someone and eventually a lady came out and told me there was nothing she could do. I’ve never had a more unprofessional experience at a health facility. She told me to go to CVS to get benadryl. Don’t claim to care about students health and wellness if you cant help them in times of clear distress!!!! Extremely disappointed with this service at MSU

Joana Lampe: Most of the staff is immensely polite and kind (especially their womens' health team). I feel like I receive great care, IF I can reach them. I tried to get in touch with them twice this semester for something that needed an appointment ASAP, and both times they were not reachable by phone. The first time it was because they had an all-staff meeting in the morning and they didn't update their phone message (it then took them over 45 minutes after the meeting ended to open the phone lines again and I only know this because I called the MSU operator). Today, neither me nor the MSU operator knew why they were closed. The operator received the same recorded message and told me there was no info on why they're closed. Available services don't help if you can't reach them to schedule appointments.
Riley Coleman: I would really avoid micheal he was weirdly touchy-feely when checking my breathing for like 5 minutes. I was also dismissed but now am experiencing a health emergency 48 hours after going in. AVOID MICHEAL PCP

Shame on MSU for not having a good health care center to help these poor kids who are away from home and sick.When somebody calls the office after they’ve already been there for a visit telling you that the symptoms are worse and they can barely talk or swallow or eat and 6 1/2 hours later there’s been absolutely no response. It’s unacceptable.

Mariana Yacoub: The 24 hour phone service is so mean. I called panicking about my health and she told me I wasn’t a patient here which can’t be possible because I’ve been there 5 times already. I kept telling her that maybe you’re typing in the information wrong and that’s why you can’t find me (because I kept having to correct her spelling) and she LAUGHED and then said “I can’t help you hope you feel better” then HUNG UP in my face. I tried to call back and she left me on hold for a whole hour. SO rude and dissapointing. I had to go the whole weekend in pain and panic because I couldn’t speak to a nurse. I think her name was crystal or Kristin it started with a c or k. I called on may 14th at around 7 pm, she kept laughing in my face while I was panicking on the other end, I expect some sort of apology. Do better!
Abraham Rusch: Genuinely a good college healthcare center. Because I'm a graduate student, I've seen how poorly student health center can be run. At Olin, providers and staff are kind and seem to be genuinely concerned with student health. As a place to seek primary care, Olin is very good.

Brady Dodick: I don't usually write reviews but I felt obligated to write this one because of the low ratings. The staff at Olin couldn't be any more helpful and courteous. My appointment went very smooth and I only had to wait 5 minutes to be seen. Laura was very kind and helpful, and this was one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had at a medical clinic. I would definitely recommend Olin to any Spartan that is "under the weather".

Rowan Hilend: I would highly recommend not visiting Elizabeth Malsheske due to her incredibly dismissive and unhelpful nature. She wasn't able to answer any of my questions or concerns or provide a potential course of action. My roommate, who accompanied me and has 8+ years in the medical industry was similarly astonished at the level of care she provided. Elizabeth Malsheske soured my first experience at Olin and I'm incredibly hesitant to return.
Alexander Harnisch: I am baffled by the numerous negative reviews and bad experiences people had. I can not speak about how things have been in the past or what other people might've experienced, but Olin is my primary health care provider and I've been there many times for any issues that came up. My personal experience has been exclusively very positive. All of the staff (receptionists, nurses, doctors, lab personnel) was always extremely friendly, helpful, respectful and professional. The medical treatment and advice I received has been, as far as I can tell, completely appropriate and without any errors or false diagnosis so far.

Lynnette Angell: I made an appointment online at Westside Urgent Care for a very painful neck. Mowed part of my bumpy backyard. What a mistake! Got right in and was seen by a very nice doctor. He diagnosed my injury after a thorough exam. He wrote me a prescription and I was on my way. (Walgreens had my med ready for pickup on my way home.) Staff, as always, were very nice. I think it’s about the third time I’ve been seen here and every time it’s been a good experience. I highly recommend them. Sure beats going to the hospital ER!
Sara Chesney: I of course opted out of the survey after the visit and wish I hadn’t so I am reaching out this way. I took my grandma to the Lansing location on West Saginaw Hwy on 5/13/23, and although we had to wait much longer than quoted for the online check in, Kelsey was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and thorough. I was having an emotional, rough day trying to figure out what could be wrong with my grandma and what to do from this point on and Kelsey was just calm and reassuring and helped to ease my grandma and I’s concerns. Just wanted to give her a well deserved shoutout as she is such an incredible asset to this company; you’re very fortunate to have someone like her, especially during these circumstances in the world. I hope she will always remember how much of a positive difference she is making and I wish her nothing but the best. Thank you, Kelsey. God bless.

Desk staff was not the nicest and one of the two nurses was just flat out rude. We even made an appointment before going in and we were still there for 2 hours before we even got back to the room! It's great they offer onsite prescription filling but even the NP said it's more expensive than what you'd find at your average pharmacy.

amber finner: Took my 2 year old to get vaccinated. Everyone was very nice, especially the lady that checked us in and the lady who was playing with the kids. A lady was going around with a bubble gun to distract and cheer up kids. My daughter loves bubbles so that was nice. She didn't fuss or anything with her shot and was only upset when it was time to leave the bubbles. Lol The nice bubble lady gave my daughter a ball which instantly cheered her up and she happily walked with me outside. I loved how easy they made everything. There wasn't even really a wait. They were great.Also, WIC people are amazing. I've been on WIC for 3 years for my daughter and I've never had a bad experience with anyone from WIC. They've all been truly the kindest people. Their hard work and kindness is extremely appreciated. 💜

I used the email and specifically asked for a signed record, but I was sent a record with no signature which was summarily rejected by the entity that I needed it for. I can understand that things are strained during COVID, but I’d rather just be told that they can’t or won’t do it as opposed to having to reach out to them multiple times and wasting so much time. If you want me gone, then cut it short. I don’t get it.

Charman Todd: My daughter received a call from the health department and went. The doctors said she needed a procedure done with no numbing medicine or anything. Then when she told me what they did I was very upset and the procedure should have been done it the operating room and she should have been sleep. I am putting in a complaint with the attorney General office yes she is a adult 32 years old but she didn't know!!! Yes I am very very upset!

Casey C: Went here to get some blood work done. I was informed verbally and physically on paperwork that they would work with my HDHP and offer me a heavily discounted $30 one time charge (discount to help those with HDHP). I paid that and went on my way. Now it’s 7 months later and I’m being called from a debt collector saying I owe $200. Come to find out, Sparrow Labs is also billing me for this service. ICHC realistically provided me no service as I find out it was Sparrow labs doing the blood work. Sparrow somehow had my old contact information from 10 years ago and was unable to reach me, hence the debt collector.After all of this, I had to keep calling Sparrow and ICHC back and fourth of the other blaming the other and neither would help me. This is causing such a headache that I’m just going to pay the damn $200 and will never be returning.
Robin Ann: i went there for an immunization shot and told them i would be self pay. They looked disgusted and barely wanted to answer my questions. In fact, after the shot i found out it was a generic similar to the one i was expecting but that it did not cover certain aliments of the original. It is best to think of every last thing out of the blue that could be a question because you can't count on the staff to inform you. This isn't just seen at this health department though unfortunately.

Tayanni Terry: I was going for my prenatal care there. Keep telling the doc that something wasn't right with me. So instead of running all test they said oh your fine. After 3-4weeks and telling the same doc this. I had a appointment with sparrow said something to that doc she looked at my file come to find out I have gestational diabetes. Only one doc at Ingham county health wanted to say that. Others said it was fine. Well I take insulin shots 4tmes a day along with other meds. Thanks to sparrow my baby will be born at a healthy weight now. All cause they listened to me. I will not ever recommend anyone to this clinic. They don't listen to they patients.

M: They do a good job but make sure you know what they’re charging you you and if what they give you is absolutely necessary. Came in for an ankle sprain and just needed an X-ray and crutches, but they gave me a $650 boot that I never needed, the same one goes for like $40 online too…
DIY‘s for sanity God bless: 99% of the staff was better than I expected. I injured my back wasn't wanting any pain pills just checking to make sure it was not broke and know how to take care of it. I have a very high pain tolerance and this takes my breath away(. I lost my son 2 years ago to a drug overdose and I found him. ) so I don't take any additive pills. Went to go for my x-ray the tech rolled her eyes when she came to get me because with the injury take me a minute when I told her that she rolled her eyes! I instantly started crying because I truly was crying only because of the pain and how I was treated because when I got in there to get my x-ray she was rude until she noticed me crying then things change! I didn't tell anyone because that was the reason I hadn't been there before a week of pain! Judgement that everybody is in there for pain medication! Guess what I WAS NOT It just broke my heart because of all the other staff was AWESOME SAUCE! The dr help paying for my medication! 1 bad day for her or you have a bad seed!

N.B.: So impressed with this facility! Smooth registration process, very organized. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional! Waiting room, exam rooms and restroom incredibly clean. Summer Mason: South side Lansing Urgent offers poor service! I signed in on the Kiosk & received a text message to fill out my health coverage information. I let the receptionist (a heavy set black chick) know that I did not have the information available that the text was requesting, & that it is In the system. She then mentioned that it will allow me to bypass it, I told her It was not allowing me to bypass it because it was an Asterisk. She then handed me paperwork to fill out, which is what they do any other time I come in. It was obvious whatever she was doing on her phone was more important than doing her job. I don’t usually leave reviews, but she certainly deserved one! Get off the phone & provide Great Customer Service to the Customers!!

I was in and out within 30 minutes even tho the wait time for walk ins was 55 min. If you are there for something that could be serious they take it seriously and don't leave you in the waiting room. This will be my new LUC location. it's closer to my home in Holt anyway but I use to stick to one I had been to before. After the positive experience I had today I will now use this location!!

Nick Sachjen: I wound up with a pretty nasty gash on my arm. My arm was pinched between a Metal Dumpster Hopper full of disgusting garbage and a wall. I was really concerned about developing an infection from the wound. Deanna was amazing. She was really awesome and helpful. Made sure the gash was glued closed, performed X-rays to make sure I didn't have a fracture, and was just really down to earth and cool as a P.A. and a person. Thank you!
