Dave Moore: Mary at the front end was extremely rude, impatient and not willing to hear that another cashier had my return behind the counter. She rushed me out the checkout lane, saying “ have a great day in a really Condescending rude tone” I shop here all the time, but I will not be returning if she is still employed here. Terrible customer service. Everyone else was very welcoming besides Mary. She looked like she was in a very bad mood. You lost a good weekly returning customer over one employee with a terrible attitude. I’d give this spot zero stars if I could. Thanks for the terrible experience Mary!!!!

Luann Renteria: 5* for the greeter. Told him we were looking for golf clubs. He was very informative about what was available in the golf department and named the two guys that would help us out. Was looking around the golf department for about 10 minutes and no one came out of the office to help us....very disappointing...

Greg Burns: I first purchased equipment during the pandemic from American Home Fitness. Being a great experience, at the Okemos, MI location, I came back today for my next purchase.The Fitness Consultant on my original purchase was Grant Pierce and Grant was my consultant again today. Personally, I don't usually write reviews. However, Grant, meets you with a smile, answers any questions you have, spends as much time as you need to make a decision. Even if the decision is: I am not ready yet. Grant is very knowledgeable about all of the products. He will tell you what is the best and helps you make an informed decision, getting the best value based on what you are looking for and your budget. Grant encourages you to "try before you buy". Today, I tested two treadmills today and had about 5 questions for Grant but I am certain he would have allowed me to test every treadmill he had and answer a hundred questions.Personally, I can't say enough about Grant. I have gone to gyms and stores where the team and staff working act like you are inconveniencing them by offering to buy their products or purchase their services. Grant always has a smile and makes you feel valued as a customer. He also does great at follow up: Give his personal cell if you have any questions later; sends emails with deals ac couple times a year, based on the conversations he had with you.Grant, thanks for all your help and making this a great experience.Keep up the great work, American Home Fitness!

Dr. Valerie Shebroe: American Home Fitness, and Gina in particular was outstanding. American Home Fitness has a large variety of equipment, and I was looking for an elliptical trainer with a smaller footprint. I found the perfect elliptical with Gina's consultation: the True ES700. Although I had done research online, purchasing online does not include the opportunity to demo the equipment and importantly, does not give the customer terrific local Customer Service. Customer service includes: answering questions, helping to select the best machine for one's needs, as well as scheduling the delivery and assembly. And finally, if there is a glitch, scheduling service repair. Shop local!

Laura Muirhead: Gina Demott recently helped me purchase a treadmill. It was an exceptionally positive experience. Gina was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I was able to try each treadmill in the showroom and Gina explained the differences, but there was no pressure or up-selling. Also, the delivery/set-up of the new machine along with the tear-down/removal of old machine went very smoothly. HIghly recommend Gina.

Patrick Yates: I recently bought a $500 mountain bike here and was mostly just pressed by the salesman on an additional bike maintenance program and buying extras. They took the bike in back to get it to what I assumed from the pamphlets the guy gave me would be ‘ride-ready’ but it turned out the tires were not inflated enough and the front brake was rubbing. I had to fill the tires myself and then later that day bring the bike back to get the brake adjusted which was of course an inconvenience. I then looked the bike up on the internet and found out that Dick’s had sold the same bike in the past for half the price. I will not be back to Dick’s for anything ever
