Kris P: The service was great, but the prices aren't very good. My local Airgas (Midland, MI) offers 50% off on the first fill when purchasing a new cylinder. The folks at the Lansing store charge full price. It's not the biggest deal in the world, but that's a 10 to 13% difference in price depending on how you look at it. For a 125CF tank of argon the difference is about $36.

Rebecca Houlihan: I am disappointed with this company and saddened to even write this review. They were my dad’s propane supplier. We lost my dad in April of 2021. In October of 2021 they delivered propane to his house, which I am grateful for. However, we never received or even knew he had a balance as we never got the bill (USPS didn’t deliver it). That is not Lansing Ice & Fuel’s fault and I am not blaming them. What I am incredibly disappointed by is their decision to remove my dad’s tank in the middle of winter without trying harder to reach us. Even a note in the door (when they delivered or any other time) would have been perfect as we would have seen it. Because of their decision to pull the tank during the coldest months of the year, all of my dad’s pipes burst. I did reach out to Lansing Ice & Fuel to discuss and hopefully rectify/get a new tank delivered, and was promised a call back. They seemed nice on the phone and said they had to talk with the boss before knowing how to proceed, which is understandable. That was a week and a half ago though and I still have not received a call back. Overall, I’m just extremely saddened by the poor timing they chose to take away my dad’s tank, knowing it was dead winter, and the lack of communication once I found out who his propane company was and reached out to them. All I wanted was to make things right and take care of my dad’s home by getting a new tank out there, and I 100% would have paid the previous bill had I known their was one.

Cody Rozell: Nothing but a great experience with these guys. I was irresponsible and neglected to monitor our tank and wound up noticing it had become empty. Even though they had hundreds of scheduled delivery’s ahead of our last minute request they squeezed us in the same day so we wouldn’t run out. Just pay for their monitoring service, it is worth the peace of mind. It helps you and it helps them and you won’t end up like me. God bless.

Sarah Bland: I would never recommend this company to anybody. Terrible customer service...on hold for HOURS and then don't receive calls back. We ran out of heat and they told us it would be at least 2 weeks before my 14 month old daughter and I would have heat. One lady on the emergency number literally told me at 4:00 in the morning that I could go sleep in my car with my daughter for heat. My husband was out of town for work for a week so I was alone without heat with a freezing cold, infant for 4 full days before we decided to cancel services. My husband got ahold of Applebees Oil and Propane and they came out with a new tank and reset our furnace within 35 minutes because it was an emergency situation!! Now that is customer service! Not everything Ferrell Gas has put us through ... not to mention they mischarged us multiple times.

Steve Garrett: My experience was substandard in all respects. I tried to set up new service and they do not communicate, no return phone calls when promised, excuses and buck passing when you try to get an answer to a simple question. In my experience , they seem to have abandoned the idea of customer service. Very frustrating.
