Hutson, Inc.: what do users think?
Tracy Hoeye: Quick unload with step deck..pleasant people
George Vieira: Scott was very friendly and was not pushy when I told him I was looking at other brands also. He wanted me to let him know where they stood when I decided. I bought from him.
roger cook: There customer service is a joke, I would totally avoid this store, really! I tried contacting you 6 times, and called twice, only to be hung up on, totally ignored, as stated, YOUR SERVICE IS A JOKE! Totally avoid this dealer, look at other reviews, They are Lazy, and could care less if they help a customer, that’s fine , I went elsewhere and purchased, at AHW, This place is a JOKE!
Jeff Confer: Excellent service. Went over and beyond. Thank you!!
Lionel Olson: Very unorganized not very helpful staff
terry miller: Great experience. Work with Scott Dyck. He made purchasing a new tractor easy and stress free. The tractor was ready in a short time. The delivery was right on time. The delivery man was great. He spent extra time going over thing about the tractor. I would recommend doing business with Hutson of Williamston Michigan.
Dustin Raymond: Had the pieces I needed to fix the riding mower.
John Marquette: Just delivered equipment
Enver Hoxha: If you are at all able, avoid this unethical business at all costs and find a different authorized service location to do your repairs. I wish I had looked into what another reviewer called their “peculiar billing practices” a bit more. Doing a bit of research and looking at their reviews, their behavior of neglecting to inform customers of extremely overpriced “diagnostic charges” and then, when warranties inevitably don’t cover repairs, holding customers’ equipment hostage until they pay is a longstanding pattern of predatory business behavior that needs to be called out. The sales rep at the service counter actually laughed at us while we were talking to the mechanic running the repair center. This was an insulting experience all around, but that degree of contempt was something else. Companies like this that rely on entrapping customers using their monopoly as dealers with authorized service certs are common, but Hutson are clearly very good at exploiting their position. In true corporate PR fashion they then retroactively go for damage control by responding to negative comments, either blaming the customer or “apologizing” and asking the reviewer to contact them (seriously just look through their past negative reviews). If they actually cared about their customers and customer satisfaction, they’d try to prevent these clearly VERY common situations, but there’s a lot more money in their racket than in being an ethical business, being up front about their charges, and relying on their work to speak for them.
David Bennett: Went to go get a mower belt, they were very helpful and polite. They had the belt on hand.
Danny: Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Took my small riding mower in for maintenance. They charge something like $120/hr to diagnose the problem. Was charged over $500 for routine maintenance, a new battery, and changing a line to charge the battery. Used tractor one time and it wouldn't start again. Called to see if they would check under warranty, brought it back over. They said the battery was dead and that was the only issue. I was charged another $180 for that "service" call.Update: The owner response shows how bad this company is. It sat for two months because when I called at the beginning of March 21 for service they said they were way behind and didn’t call me until July 21 and therefore I had hired a company to mow. By the time I picked up the mower it was late July. I used it once, then when I went to start it a second time it wouldn’t turn over. I didn’t realize it was out of gas sure, but if that was the case and the battery needed to be charged that would be a simple fix not a $180 bill. Even the service guy at the counter was embarrassed. Blaming the customer and an old mower is a poor business practice. Bottom line is I’m $750 in for a new battery terminal, a battery, and some gasoline. I’d recommend looking elsewhere for service, maintenance, etc.
K L: THEY contacted ME in regards to my warranty for my riding lawnmower and asked if it needed any repairs. I took it in for a tire issue and was told my warranty doesn’t cover tire repairs. They charged me over $100. to look at it. I told them they wasted my time and I said I would give them $20 for their time and they said “no $50” so I gave them a $50 bill and walked out. They are a complete SCAM. Be aware if they call about warranties. S.L.
Bob Cassie: Had the parts I wanted and made it a fast trip
Bradley Baerlocher: Great place! John Deere and Stihl, two of the best manufacturers!
Robin Shurlow: Andy was very helpful and had a new mower for our mom. Thank You....
Rick: Fast courteous unloading.Good customer service.
Robert Darbor: Did a great taking care of my needs.
Ben Mc: Fast and friendly
Tony Sesti: The tech overtightened blade bolts, I spent a long time trying to loosen them, had to take tractor back in. Same tech or someone cross threaded my hyd oil drain plug but they never owned up to it, blamed me though it was observed right after they repaired a different hyd leak during service. They put teflon tape on the plug to "fix" it, then charged me $130 for the "repair". I talked to manager, but he blamed me for cross threading the plug... all this over $130? so long
Derrick Kring: Hired D&G to come out and look at my tractor and do some service. I was warned from people who had used them before to watch out on how they bill. I was surprised when I was charged double than what I was quoted. It took 3 phone calls to actually get someone to talk to me about my invoice. Then rudely told me to pay what I was charged "it is what it is" even though it was double what I was told it was going to be. They have huge amounts of hidden charges. Beware*
Derick Hile: Sharpened 4 chainsaw blades for $28.

Ryan Navin: Paid over $300 for regular service (oil change and blades sharpened). My riding John Deere broke down within 10 days of getting it back. When i talked to Hutson on the phone, he tells my he has to charge me to transport and look at it. I purchased this rider brand new in 2018 and never had a problem until this company serviced it. I will never do business with these guys again.

noe flores: Good people work here
Michael Olcott: Weren't able to help me this time
John Grams: Very helpfull staff

Kristin Sedore: They always have my belt!
John Fryover: I was. Very happy with the service I received and I will be back when I need something else Bill was awesome
Wayne C: Cool place,
Peter Blinkilde: Scheduled my John Deere Lawn Tractor for a tune-up on line, received a prompt phone call from Don to get it scheduled and found out they could pick up and deliver (worth it to save 3-4 hours of my time). They were able to pick up, get it serviced, and back to me unexpectedly fast. Thanks Jim for the pick up and delivery. I appreciate how I was treated.
Fredrick Hearld: very helpful
todd mcelmurry: I went to get a Tune Up Kit for my John Deere LX176 Lawn Mower and when the service rep gave me the box, it didn't have that model (176) on the box. I asked that this isn't the right one, it has an LX173 and an LX177, but no LX176 and another service rep said "Not all the Models are on the Box". Okay, I took his word for it, well this evening when I went to do the tune up.... it was the WRONG Kit. All they had to do was double check.UPDATE: The following day I did go back and swap out the kit. The Manager must have been notified of my review on Google, as he met me on the way out. They did make amends for the mistake that was made, more generous than I was expecting. I would have given a 4 star review, but it started out yesterday as a 1 star, so hopefully next time I visit there, my experience will be at least worthy of a 4 star if not a 5 star.
Brian Antcliff: I quit going to Grand ledge because I walked in there one day and stood around for 15 minutes and they all looked at me like I was lost so I walked out and never went back that was about 5 years ago last year I purchased an 8 ft 6 boss plow from Portland I used it exactly two times unhooked it from the truck stored it in my pole barn and then I went to hook it on this year The connector would not fit into the female end so I contacted them and again they looked at me like I was drunk or on drugs so they had a guy come over and figure out that I needed a new connector why did I pay $8,000 for a plow and it needs a new connector after using it two times so I bought the connector and I put it on myself and it works fine they were going to charge me to put it on I guess I don't understand where customer care went in this place of business number one no matter what, it's brand new why wouldn't they say we'll just take care of this for you Brian because you bought it from us instead they treat me like I'm mentally insane I assure you I will never ever in my life go back to baders at any place that they own I would love to take every piece of equipment that I've bought from there and go back and throw it through their window but I know I'd get in trouble I hope this was worth me plastering your rotten business all over the internet of how you take care of your customers it's absolutely appalling pathetic and makes me sick and I guarantee you I will put your bad name all over Portland and I know you don't care That's how you treat people this is the second part of this review I just received a bill for them coming out to tell me that I need a new plug I will be filing a complaint to the better business bureau this ain't over with yet supposedly the owner was supposed to call me I have not heard from him and I'm guessing it's because he really doesn't care and neither do I anymore
Randy “Mr. Excitement” Adams: Love my new Stihl Saw. Great deal and super close to home. Customer service was excellent. In, out, and dropping trees with no hassle.. Thank you
Brandon Martin: Good people
Ross Austin: The salesman told me he would have my purchase ready the next day and would call.I had to call him, Item not ready promised it to me again the next day. Again I had to call, not ready. Two more days, I called him,and he said he forgot to call me! Got the feeling if your not buying a new ten thousand dollar tractor you are unimportant and a bother to them.
Gail Bienz: Nice place, great people that wait on you. Have the parts you need.
Sally Lauer: My salesman was Jim Ricket. He explained everything and showed me how to take care of the product I bought. Very polite and knowledgeable.
Todd Frisbie: Very slow to get service, some employees seemed to be a little on edge today. Usually do not see that here.
Edward Dixon: Awesome job on repairs
Paul Edgecomb: Professional and friendly service
