CADL - South Lansing Library: what do users think?
Luanne Beaudry: I really enjoy going to this branch. Friendly, helpful staff. Always willing to provide assistance. Great selection of books and other media materials. Interesting displays. I love my library.
James Best: Had a great experience here, everyone is super nice and very helpful.
Great Lakes Narwhal Michelle Erskine: Nice medium sized Library it has computers and color or black and white printers and a play area for children
Yolanda Aubrey: Excellent location very clean staff is amazing they go above and beyond very polite always smiling and offers informative advice and if you're a little low on food they give free bags of commodities... they're lab tops are set up for user friendly privacy spacing is on point
nader soltani: It was great
Nicholas Killingsworth: Neat and tidy this library has been my go-to since I was a teenager large selection nice computers and a great resource for all of Lansing thank you cadl
any one: I like this library.
Glenda Wilson: I like it 🙂
Danielle Williams: I love this branch. The staff are great! Story time is an awesome program. And the toys they have for kids to play with are abundant. It is a smaller branch but if you want to check out a book or a thing from "library of things" from another CADL branch you can have a hold placed and in a day or two you can pick it up from your neighborhood branch. I love CADL and South Lansing is my favorite branch.I regularly use their color printer fax machine and computers.
Michael Conway: Friendly and helpful staff. Small collection but you get anything delivered to the branch with district online catalog and statewide Melcat catalog.
Clarence Cromwell: These five stars really belong to the entire Capital Area Library District, of which South Lansing is a part. I frequent the Downtown and South Lansing branches because they are both convenient for me. Since retiring I am catching up on classic movies I never had time for while working and raising a family. They move requested DVD titles to a close branch on request for pickup.
barb nieratko: The staff helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It's clean. Well lit. Fun areas for kids. Tons of computers and quiet areas to concentrate.
Randall Swank: Good selection of CDs and DVDs
Elizabeth Leahy: Great Library
Maggie Johnson: Extremely helpful.... But unfortunately their FAX MACHINE.has a mind of its own and it is SLOW and very uncooperative, but still charged me even though I couldn't use it.....🙃🙄🤗
DEBBY CAMPBELL: Love this little library
Teresa Anderson: The customer service is very good, professional and always helpful. The library is clean and organized. A very pleasant environment.
Dave Crim: The are very helpful. Easy parking. I may go there all the time.
Deobolique Rogers: It was quiet
Paul Lee: Great help keeping informed&connected safely in our Community
Thomas Allen: Nice and clean and still useful and helping the public.

CADL - Downtown Lansing: what do users think?
Sharon Lane: I had an amazing time celebrating CADL 25th anniversary with great jazz, good friends, and the opportunity to meet new people. CADL provides MORE than books, but it also provides a welcoming experience.
Krystal/Ryan Parrott: Excellent 😊 Selection and staff first rate.
Theresa Dhondup: Check out the book store in the basement for some amazing finds.
Robbie Scott: i like this library! very big, lots of room and good amount of books there!
Andie Bruman: I went to a book sale in the basement they were having. It was great! 3 books all $1.50 each.Update: went to a craft show. Awesome that they hold all kinds of events.
Jean Neil: Attempting to finish a document online. Appreciate the helpful assistance from your librarian. Just have to uoad some document that wasn't with me
Amy Carter: A lovely library to visit! Parking is a bit of a challenge, but not bad on “free parking Friday”! They have a cool kids’ area, with a lovely dedicated space for kids 0-4. It is beautiful and appropriately stocked with fun things. My daughter and I had a great time. It’s way in the back of the children’s section. Just keep walking back till you see it!
monique Bates: The play area has changed it's looking more " scheduled event style" so not much walk in an play so the Southside one is a little more kid friendly..
Great Lakes Narwhal Michelle Erskine: They only have restrooms on the 2nd floor, and a lot of homeless people hang out there. I really only go there for the book burrow (bookstore)
Diva baldwin: I love this library & location! I love the librarian’s as well! I dislike the people coming in having full blown conversations & talking on phone & etc IN THE LIBRARY! LIBRARY IS QUIET, PEACEFUL, RESEARCH LEARNING ENVIRONMENT NOT A PLAYGROUND PEOPLE! Thank you kindly !
Kimberly Lavon: I absolutely love this library! The bargain book section is my favorite. Fantastic place.
Anas Ahmed: Good library
LaToya McDonald: The librarian was super helpful the library it's self is clean and well organized. There is a huge children's section and a great selection of media items.
Robert Gilbert: This Library is close to the bus station in Central Lansing, and the staff are very helpful, especially to someone who is visually impaired like me. I would like very much to get a library card, but I am currently on the verge of being homeless, so I'm "locked out" of that situation. Being able to get online at this time, when I no longer have access where I'm living, is quite a blessing in itself!
Av Garcia: Do not waste your time visiting as a guests. You can only use computer for 30 mins no exceptions. Horrible experience.
Medardo Antonio Rodriguez: Loved the place.
Hanlon Daugherty-Clifford: Wonderful, I missed the library!
Richard Wayne Laming III: The best library in greater Lansing Michigan, with the only exception being (Cooley law library) and (MSU campus), media center staff had to "order" one book from grand rapids Michigan library, i was impressed very much and love Lansing Michigan. thank you. -Richard
shortdwarfcom *: what a treasure trove of knowledge!with librarians that are more than willing to share their wealth of knowing!⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Kasey Kent: So far really enjoying this branch. The one downside is having the kid area right at the front of the location....I wish the kids had more of their own level away from the adults so they could be kids more. Other then that, great location and I love the app being able to put holds on the books I want no matter the branch.
Jessica McLarty: Books, Movie, and Thing Library is so helpful refreshing!

East Lansing Public Library: what do users think?
X. RAO: One of the larger size library, compared to all of Capital Area Library system (not part of CADL). Nicely renovated with unique decorations. Open space and well lighted. All area are kept very clean. General great staffVariety of selections of books, magazine, CD, DVD, etc.Several different rooms for meetings and community activities. There is 3D device that you can pay to do 3D printing.EVEN not part of CADL, You can return books from any CADL libraries to other CADL libraries.
Madison Roberts: I love the library, with a few complaints. After school, several teens come and are running through the library, yelling, cursing, and being noisy for hours. Staff hasn’t said anything to them. I’m super happy they find the library a welcoming place to come, but they should learn library etiquette as it makes the library a less enjoyable space for people looking for a quiet place to read or study. Also, several books I’ve wanted to check out are overdue by months. I get not wanting to have fines and I agree, but there’s no incentive for people to return books on time. Not sure how to fix this problem.Overall it’s a great library and I’d definitely recommend it. Maybe avoid it during after school hours if you’d like a quiet place! Staff is super friendly and wifi is great
That's My Two Cents: Wow, i sure wish i knew the name of the young lady who helped me today. She was What being helped at the library should be. I’m sure she was a student at MSU. She was half my age, and she was very helpful, very kind, very respectful, the way people like to be treated. She carried on a real conversation with me, listened to my Dad jokes and didn’t make me feel like i was being rushed off. Made my first experience at this library very AWESOME !!! Thank you very, very much !!!
Charli Simone: I go to the library everyday after school and have recently noticed a man who comes in and looks at inappropriate images on the computer. I reported him of course because it’s a public place where children come to play. I told on woof the librarians and he barely acknowledged my existence and did absolutely nothing about it. Not exactly what I would call a child friendly place.
Brian K: Tried taking my kids there to get a library card and checkout some books. The librarian told us that we didn't live in East Lansing so we weren't allowed to get a library card (even if their people told us we could at the farmers market urging us to open one).We then had to tell the kids to put back the books they chose and she ushered us out of the library like we were some second class citizens. Not even giving us an opportunity to pay the $30 some odd fee for a card as if we couldn't afford it.Terrible first experience with libraries for the kids.
Ahmed Elshafie: The staff are very helpful and very welcoming. Kids section is great and full of wonderful books and computers that you can use for kids under time control. Usually you get a free membership if you live in the same map distribution of the library, otherwise 30$ annually is really worth it.
Shannon Kelley: Wonderful options for East Lansing residents. Staff members were happy to answer questions and approached two of us waiting for another in our party to see if we were waiting or all together.
Bloom: I've been going to east lansing public library since I was little! This place never fails to impress!
Molly Bancroft: I was immediately welcomed and assisted at the circulation desk and was issued a new library card within 10 minutes. Great new books section. Rugs could use some freshening but it's a great library for our community!
Peter R: Fine library.
Pedro Nariyoshi: Great library. Maker studio and rental tools are great. Also very good at Covid-related safety.PS, one can use their CADL card to check items out. No need to pay the extra fee
BigSoLDaddy: Books and CDs and DVDs and more. All free at the library!
Joe W.: Quaint library, with a nice variety. Friendly staff
Ron Perry: A very well supplied local library with many different spaces for study and collaboration, as well as a very friendly and helpful staff
Chris Schicker: My favorite library because of their hours. You can study late on a weekday and don't have to worry about parking.
Ben Eysselinck: ELPL is a good place to be. Whether you're looking to read, meet with others, use the maker's room, or even borrow a tool, They've got you taken care of and the folks that work there are the nicest.
Victor Lee: Great place for kids, public computers, meeting rooms, activity room, 3D printing. Everything a modern library should have and great staff to boot. Oh and they have books.
Macey: Super nice and very clean.
Victoria Dolton: The East Lansing Library is a delightful place to visit. The staff is so helpful!
Jared Koekkoek: 4 stars for it being a spartan spit location. Pretty quiet and out of the way. Free parking available. Very easy and obvious pick up and drop off. Well done, East Lansing and MSU
Chuck Grigsby: Great place for many things. The people who work there are phenomenal!

CADL - Foster Library: what do users think?
Al: A cute but very small library with great librarians. Got a couple of good books, and witnessed an adorable story time with the kids. The computers are nice too.
Kasey Chappel: Large facility
Waverly Jones: We love a local library! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Yolyn Hollingsworth: Had my taxes prepared by AARP Volunteers. They were excellent.
Kevin Lucas: A great little library! It's collection is small but well curated. You can have holds directed there from any CADL branch for pick up.I wish there were more of these community branches around. There is free parking which is nice if you're driving. It's also right on the bus line if you're using public transit.
Will Gregg: Really love the public libraries. The staff is friendly. In addition to books and movies to borrow, they have computers and a printer to use. I greatly appreciate that they are there. The only unfortunate thing is because this is a smaller less used location they have rather limited hours.
Phil Damico: Cool little resourceful diamond in the rough. Located in the Foster Center right off Michigan Avenue on Lansings Eastside. Good selection of books and movies. Great staff, very helpful.
Yvette Collins: Great neighborhood library. I love how CADL has adapted during COVID, implementing contactless pickup.
Andrew Mattes: Great local library
Jill Dombrowski: Foster is my cozy local library. My daughter and I enjoy their wonderful space for small children on a regular basis. With a constantly rotating table of toys and puzzles it is always a treat to visit and an outing we both really enjoy. The staff are helpful and congenial.
Andrew McFarland: I attend the infant reading program with my son. Ms. Linda is a very engaging reader and her enthusiasm is apparent. This is a small library so there is a sign up required (as opposed to the other CADL locations child reading programs). The smaller size allows more attention for each child so it is a welcome addition to our weekly library reading lineup.
Fredric Lee McLaughlin: Staff competent but often loudly socializing among selves and with patrons, vs. focusing on library business). CADL rules of conduct are seriously wanting and should include: 1) whispering only (importantly and especially exemplified by staff), 2) young children supervised, 3) phone use restricted to texting only (no voice conversation except for public emergency notices or medical necessity). Thank you
Dontae Pearson: Love it
Alex Kilpatrick: Conveniently located but a small selection. There is a nice playground outside.

Lansing Community College Library: what do users think?
Sarah Wright: Varining limited hours... see accompying photo... Great place for resources such as laptops, 3D printing capabilities and so much more...all you need to do is ask an LCC employee for help.
John Murdoch: This is not a library, its a place where people talk and not allowing others to get any work done. There is no rules enforced and the place is constantly under construction.
Jesus Esparza: Plenty of space, and rooms for groups. They have a selection of news papers and magazines. I was surprised to see the Harvard Business Review! Good magazine that Harvard finally released for public viewing.
Scott Heeney: big fan
Eric small: This library is big, clean and nice. It is however, extremely annoying. I went in there on Thursday and the people who chose to sit near me were, a 40 year old women who was on her phone yapping up a storm, a boy in front of me who's gf was working at the library and then ate their food and made out. The other person who near me was a boy who's music I could hear over my own. The fact the student-staff don't enforce normal library ethics pisses me off. Like if LCC wants to try and by like MSU make one floor where you can talk and another that is strictly quiet.I think a lot of students would be down for that. As a student, I choose the MSU library a lot over this one. Over there, I can at least do my homework in peace.
pat izzo: Decent library and wonderful staff

Delta Township District Library: what do users think?
Jack Keys: They hosted a special speaker. National Morel Mushroom Champion who discussed his techniques from over the years. Well worth the hour & half discussion. Excellent
A Pat: I’ve been asking for a month or more at the information desk please help me put in Hoola on my nook. One lady who works there helped me put my name in again for the information desk person to please help me. No calls, no help. I’m so disappointed because I read a lot and it’s sad when I go to Delta library and they can’t even take time to help me. They need to fire her and get someone in who helps seniors.
Jason Mailloux: This library is outstanding. The space is fantastic and the librarians are wonderful. My kids have enjoyed so many of the programs and events.
Eric H: First time today visiting this library and I must say I was very impressed. From the start their outside garden area grabbed my attention. Then it was on to the inside where it just welcomed you to come in and explore. We were there for their book sale, which was great, and the staff was great. They were outgoing, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. My daughter had a great time exploring both inside and out. I can't recommend this library more because you must explore it for yourself and you won't be disappointed. Such a great store downstairs that sells books and other media. Great selection and great prices.
Christine Miller: Better hours and open holidays as tax payers pay library
David Winters: Fine small-town library. Seems to emphasise fiction over nonfiction, which is a weakness. Great facility and decent book sale room.
Cirea Strode: This is truly my favorite library in town. I love the children area. It’s always so organized and clean. It’s an open space with small table and chairs for the children to sit. They also have a stage and a puppet show area. On the side there are bins of activities for the kids to pick and take to the table to use. My daughter loves the barn with the farm animals. They offer these amazing take home activities pages of thing you can do with the children at home. I believe they are offered once a month for that full month. I also love the therapy dogs. The children get to read to the therapy dog. Our favorite is Hobbs, he’s great and so perfect with the children. This area also has a computer area with different learning applications such abc mouse. I love that they also give back to the community and on Tuesdays they give out food bags for children and families.
Doug Burruss: Great place for books and other materials. A very restful place to read or dream. Hold meetings, visit second hand book stire.
Renee Spags: The library is very nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly!
Jean Neil: They are well organized.
brandon cleveland: Beautiful building. Helpful staff. Fantastic network to get books they don't have in stock. Food pantry just outside, paper masks at the entrance and cheap videogame rentals. What more could one ask for in a library?
Glenn Shattuck: Friendly knowledgeable staff. Don't know why I didn't go sooner. So many things to offer
Laura Abney: Great library. Very friendly.
Ann Jones: Library staff was very helpful with using the printer. It is also a very beautiful venue.
Tomiko Stevenson: Curbside pickup is Amazingly convenient. Thank you!!!
VFarm 5-6: New building, very clean and nice. Very kid friendly. Thank you Delta Township!
Doug Milligan: Very beautiful library with conference rooms and even digital offerings.
Owen Block: Nice library, good books.
Brett Wierenga: Great children’s area, plenty of seating, nice fireplace for ambiance, and beautiful picture windows out the back.
Chrome: This is where I got to finish my favorite book series. And the staff were so nice of telling me where the books were and how to get them from Ecat.
Keegan Hinton: I wish I could score them under that! I rented some books years ago and returned them late and was charged $80 for late fees! Then because I didnt pay the late fee they put a WARRANT out for my arrest for LATE FEES!! I had to pay almost $400 to get this issue resolved!!! NEVER AGAIN AND WOULDN'T REFERR ANYONE TO GO THEIR!!
