jillykz: My apologies for this long overdue review. Last year I went through a stressful time with my broken HP laptop. My warranty required that I send my laptop out to California for repair. The Tech Dept Staff helped me get it packaged up and sent out but when it returned, only a portion of the problem came back fixed. I have a small business and I use my laptop daily. Seeing how stressful the situation was for me, Phil and his Tech Dept Staff took care of me until my problem was fully resolved. Then just recently I had to go back into Staples again due to a problem with my printer. Again Phil and his Tech Staff took wonderful care of me. They looked up my warranty information, sent off my old printer, and I had a new printer in my hands the very next day. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful Tech Team at this store. They're an amazing bunch and they've been real life savers for me.

Autumn Harris: In case you're planning to order brochures or other marketing documents from here, don't!1. The paper quality alone is very poor. Super thin, generic printer paper, with no option to upgrade on the online ordering system.2. Their online proofing system will show a document that is printed edge to edge. However your physical prints from the store will have a thick white edge all around it. - This is not noted anywhere on their ordering website, nor is there an option to opt for online printing to avoid this - contrary to what the employee tried to gaslight me into believing.3. I was very unhappy with the white border on all of the brochures that I ordered. And when I asked the employee why this happened she said, "my printers are incapable of printing all the way to the edge of the document. If you wanted the brochure printed like that you needed to order an actual brochure. (as if I had incorrectly ordered the wrong item - I specifically ordered Tri-Fold Brochures - so I don't know why she said it like that) And you'd need to select the option to have them printed without the white crop, online, and have them mailed to you." This lead me to believe that I had missed a step. So I immediately hopped on my computer and walked through the order process start to finish to see if she was correct. Nope, there's no such option. She's either grossly misinformed about how their online ordering system works, or she just wanted to gaslight the heck out of me to make me feel responsible for their poor quality.If your quality is bad or you're terribly misinformed about the ordering process, just admit that. But don't gaslight your customers into thinking it was user order error, what a horrible method of customer service! Do yourself a favor and order your marketing documents somewhere else.*images attached, 1st image: A screen shot of the proof that is provided when you've finalized your online order. Notice how both pages appear that they will be printed all the way to the edge. 2nd image: The garbage brochure that was given to me with a thick white border all the way around the entire document.
Claire Bode: Staples… THIS Staples in particular… is my favorite place in Lansing. Seriously. My son and I go here to cruise the aisles and get advice from the very helpful and friendly staff. We shop here for everything paper/pen and pencil/computer related. I bought a Staples office chair from here that I love. And a label printer, and school supplies every year for 12 years, and laptops. The staff, Chris in particular, go out of their way to point out less expensive alternatives or to help you find that particular item you need. A visit here always brightens my day. I want my ashes scattered outside the front door. That’s how much I love this Staples.

The SPS Edge: It was a great relief to go into the store on two different days and get received with the same courtesy and professionalism from the staff I worked with. The first day Sam was very helpful in helping me bring my vision to reality. The next day Linda helped me execute it. Its worth saying that Staples on Michigan Ave is well worth the trip.

Most recently, I needed a vga/hdmi adapter & purchased one. It didn't work so I brought it back. The store manager (or assistant manager) knew right away what needed to be done to fix my problem. BAM! He removed some hardware from my old cord, the adapter worked, & I was on my way. He went out of his way to help. He could have easily told me what needed to be done & left me there to figure things out. Thank you for going the extra mile!

Travis Boggs: Lucas and Joe at DBI were exceptional in helping me get an office chair repaired recently. I truly appreciate Lucas and his willingness take my existing chair and have better quality parts installed on it than what originally came from the factory. Now the chair is better than new and I will absolutely be calling Lucas and his team next time I’m in need of new office furniture. Top notch service that you will not get from big box stores or internet suppliers. Thanks DBI Team!!!
BOBBY ADADO: I called their office and they gave me the salesman name Garrett Barnes. Talk to him on the phone he was very pleasant. Told him what I wanted he came out and visited me at my business. We measured out everything And he said he'd been contact with me. He called me probably 2-3 days later we talked a little bit more. Said he would get back with me and he never did that was over a week and a half ago. I called Kentwood office furniture. Talked to a very nice sales lady. Order $6,000 at the office furniture. As I'm writing this post I still haven't heard back from DBI.

Sara Hudgens: Amanda and Rachel in the print center are absolute angels! They were a joy to work with and went above and beyond to help print items for my wedding. We had another Staples center in Novi that told us it would be 3-5 business days and they needed to ship it out to a business center. This store got it done for us in a matter of hours!
Daniel Smith: Just needed 9 pages printed. The lady who was not busy directed me to the self serve a common practice. However it wants a $5 hold for 9 B/W prints that is less than a $1.50. I again asked the employee for help and she was too uninterested in taking 2 minutes to print my 9 pages. I was so frustrated I left and went down to FedEx Print and had it done in half the time it took Staples to explain how to send the document to self serveGo elsewhere

SugarGeekDraws: Me and a friend walked in and witnessed a terrible verbal assault of a customer onto one of your employees, Andrew, but he handled it incredibly well. Apparently the man wanted something printed that they couldn’t do, idk who his coworker was but it seemed Andrew stepped in to try and deescalate and the man continued to get in his face and be a problem. We waited to make sure this grown man didn’t attempt to physically hurt this teenager but thankfully he left. Andrew was very kind and respectful and deserves a raise, but also I think Home Debot should work on making sure more managers are available on the floor to properly handle situations such as this when they arise.
Olivia Bryant: Had a great experience! The retailer Andrew helped us find the push pins we needed. Unfortunately there was a customer that wanted to argue with the poor teenager, the man needed something printed and it wasn't possible for them to print it off in such short notice and the ADULT MAN started yelling and screaming at this teenager who was working at the Office Depot. Let me just say that boy handled the argument much better than I would have!! He was very calm and upkept a professional attitude along with great customer service and was able to defuse the problem until the man left. He then apologized for the man's behavior. He definitely gave me a lot of hope for the upcoming generation and definitely deserves a day to relax after that.

Jon V: Don't trust the online "in stock" information. It said the printer I was looking for was in stock at this store. It also said 20 minute pickup was available. I drove across town and sure enough, they don't have it. Calling the store provides no option to actually talk to somebody to check the stock on an item. Terrible shopping experience in 2023.
