Employees are positive and helpful, many are long term employees who know their store inside out.

Mara Miller: Such a great health food store with lots of variety and options. Everything from fresh produce to vitamins and even gluten free, diet friendly options. They also have local products! Be sure to check them out and always, shop local!

You can also find some frozen meats and fish here that are hard to find elsewhere. We like their employee-owned business model and the incredibly respectful and engaged way they have of interacting with customers. Care just oozes out their pores. Foods for Living is an evolved Food Cooperative for the 21st Century, and they seem to be openly living the values.

A. Jones: Years ago this pharmacy used to GREAT. Dan the pharmacist really knew his stuff! The owner retired and sold it, and since then it has gone DOWNHILL. Today I was directed to them as being a "specialty pharmacy". I needed to find a place that sold a certain test kit my doctor ordered. I was greeted by a VERY RUDE young woman in the pharmacy who said they were NOT a specialty pharmacy, but that the Pharmacist told her that "Assensia" (sp?) on the west side of town was one. I asked her where they were, and she said, "I don't know". I asked her how to spell the name, "I don't know". As a typical young clueless person, she told me to "Just speak the name into your phone." I told her I don't have an Iphone, I was calling from a LAND LINE. She was stumped, and basically told me it wasn't her problem! I looked the word "Assensia" up on the internet, and it was ASSENSION Pharmacy. and not ASSENSIA. I called them, and they also said they were NOT a specialty pharmacy either. The hunt goes on for a "specialty pharmacy" in this area that carries the test kit my doctor ordered. Once again Lansing lives up to it's reputation for being a backwater town!

It’s such a refreshing change after 13 years of Chicago and San Francisco pharmacies. 😀The pharmacy staff is so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly—I’m always greeted personally, with a smile. It’s nice to receive a call from a person when prescriptions are ready...almost always same day. Also a huge bonus, they offer delivery—even to the west side—free of charge (though a tip is always good instant karma).

Jen Melendez: My scripts were faxed over Thursday afternoon to be delivered on Friday. They didn't read the script and sent them to an old address. It's now Monday after 6:00 an still no medications. I have heart meds, blood pressure meds, and insulin that I have to have. My Dr ordered my diabetic supplies and they came through the mail and arrived today, but still no meds. I need suggestions for a pharmacy that delivers when needed, not when they feel like getting to it.

RJ Cormack (Fireguy): This store is NOT 24hr, it closes at midnight and reopens at 6am (if they have enough staff). The drive-thru pharmacy is 24 hours (if they have the staff). The line is always over an hour! Hire employees at a wage that keeps the store staffed. They never answer the phone due to 1 pharmacist alone, and occasionally they just close due to lack of employees. COVID is over, this is poor management not paying enough to retain staff.

Muzappar Okyan: Never ever come to this location. Unless you want to die while waiting to pick up your medication.If you have emergency situations DO NOT come to this location.

Jamie Hall: Worst pharmacy ever I came up there 3 time and every time the staff said prescriptions will be ready in 30 minutes. Wasted gas and time could of just said about a hour and eliminated me wasting time of running up there 3 times are you serious. Last girl was rude af. They really need to teach their staff customers service skills. If you don’t like your job lady then get another one. Smdh.

Chad Jubeck: The only pharmacy open in 100 mile radius on Christmas Eve they seemed really busy and yet the Pharmacist/tech Chet and Cisco were so nice and knowledgeable and prompt. They told me 30 mins which I thought it would be even longer but Chet saw I was waiting and immediately helped me as well as other people around me and I was outta there in 10-15mins instead of 30 or longer! His kindness and professionalism impressed me and was so appreciated after sitting in the ER for 8 hrs in pain leaving rating worse than when I went in, I wasn’t in A good mood at all. The staff at this type of pharmacy was one i’d Drive outta my way to GOTO again.

Joe Shmoe: You let me wait 30 min on a script to get filled just to say you gotta call the doc before you willfill it. This is on a sunday, did you really think the doc was going to be in his office on a sunday? before making me wait for nothing.
