Lauren Bookbinder: Devon, a driver from this location, went above and beyond and helped us through a tough spot. My husband and I were driving from NY to MI with a newborn, 2 dogs and 2 horses in one day, and our POD had been incorrectly scheduled for delivery the day AFTER our arrival (no fault of the Lansing location). I called customer service panicked around 330 when it had not yet arrived, and was told that they reached out to the manager of this location and no drivers were available because cause it was the end of the day. The customer rep put in a request for ASAP delivery the following morning, and we started looking for a hotel. About 20 minutes later I got a call from Devon, saying he saw our delivery request as he was packing up and would deliver for us same day. He called after it’s arrival and took what was a really stressful situation and a long day and completely fixed it for us by working a bit later than scheduled. I sincerely hope PODS is able to provide him some sort of reward or recognition for this. We are incredibly grateful for his kindness and work ethic!

Susan Roy: After considering several options, we decided to use PODS for our elderly parents cross country move. I spoke with the representatives over the phone several times during the moving process. Each time they were very helpful, efficient and friendly. The steps were explained to me in detail and everything happened as expected.I would not hesitate to use PODS for any moving or storage needs I have in the future.

Vicki Weiler: Initial contact perfect. Timing all set for two pods to be delivered and picked up at same time. First pod picked up on time, second one was not picked up that day but the following morning. Instead of living up to the contract they made with me for my dates, the second pod that was not picked up on time - was picked up 15 hours later - somehow translated into it not being delivered to my new home until two weeks later. I spent many hours on the phone talking to multiple reps and supervisors and each and every one of them lied to me. Not one would or could fix the issue. They all said comforting things on the phone as any good customer service rep should, leading me to believe they would get the delivery back on track, but each and every one of them lied to me. The initial driver who did not pick up my pod on time caused me to have to stay in a hotel for two weeks. How picking it up 15 hours late translated into a two week delay is beyond my comprehension. There should be some kind of refund on their part for not living up the initial contract and causing me extra expenses, but of course there is not. I do NOT recommend PODS. Will never use again.

PODs is taking no responsibility for this issue and wants to charge me to move the POD so it is no longer in violation.

Truly went above and beyond to position the unit pretty much exactly where I needed it. He let me know it might not work because of the distance he needed. But found a way. Paulyriot 76: The representatives as a whole are nice enough on the phone. However, they're very limited in the amount of info they can give you. If you have to store your stuff at a storage location make sure it's within 50 miles otherwise you may have to pick it up yourself. I tried to speak with a supervisor but I couldn't. You actually have to put a request in to speak to one. I put a request and the lady who helped me either didn't do it or the supervisor just never contacted me. The lack of communication is just awful with this company. I had to go pick up my things at a storage location and they didn't even have a front desk. I drove through the yard to find my pod. Absolutely no one was there to talk to. The pod people don't even communicate with each other. I picked up my stuff and they still charged me 2 weeks later because they though my stuff was still at a holding facility. I don't recommend using their storage facility but they might be okay if you already have a location to drop your stuff off at. I will never use pods again or recommend them.
