Crystal Schneider: Food tasted fine, service was fine, but the restaurant itself felt dingy to me. I was confused when we walked in and I thought we were going to be walked to the back for a seat and then I learned I was looking at the entire restaurant.The pictures on here are super deceiving imo. My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and got seated in a random corner that felt like an afterthought table was placed by a storage closet covered with a sheet. There were drywall chunks missing on the walls by us. It didn’t feel nice at all. If you want an upscale experience this place is NOT it. Will never be back.
Jeneen Hinkle: I visited Bowdies for the first time recently. I have been trying to get here since 2018 ish, as I work in Lansing, but l commute over an hour to work and am usually rushing to make it home after working all day. I'm glad I finally made it here! The service was great! I had the filet with mashed potatoes and a side of greenbeans! My steak and sides were good. I also tried the shrimp bisque, which was also good. However, I had the crab cake appetizer, and it was amazing! I've tried crabcakes in a lot of restaurants, even in Maryland, and this was hands down thee best crabcake I've ever eaten! I'll be back!

We started with scallops then got the Tomahawk steak for 2 with the Brussel sprouts and shrimp bisque. They even gave us a complimentary birthday dessert that was equally as amazing. matt clara: I had a $62 fillet mignon that was good. But I tell you what, I make a filet that is nearly as good and doesn't cost $62. Their porterhouse is $140. I made one last week that cost me $10 at Meijer's and had a filet attached that was more tender than the $62 filet I had at Bowdie's and that porterhouse tasted as good as any steak I've ever had, because I know how to season and sear them, and in the end I have to say Bowdie's is not worth the price.

kalah royer: Visited here for the first time recently as an anniversary dinner. Everything was delicious! I was very happy with the portion sizes for the price. My husband had the crab pasta which was fabulous. The ricotta and goat cheese dip was a great starter, and my whitefish dish was super flavorful. Ended with the peanut butter chocolate cake. Not a bad bite to be had! The vibe was very modern and clean, overall a great night and we will hopefully be back!

E P: Website states this is a French bistro, where is the French inspiration in the decor or the French food? Food is expensive. A smash burger should not cost $18.00. The restaurant/customers have a pretentious vibe, this restaurant seems more fitting for Okemos than downtown. Drinks are well made. Two sandwiches and 2 drinks shouldn’t be almost $90. Overall this was a very basic and disappointing meal. If you are looking for an upscale experience go to bridge st. Social.

Supreme View: Worst service and food I have had in a long time. Server was not friendly and didn’t know how to be hospitable and make things right. It took us 35 minutes to get drinks (served by another server) and order our meals. The food came out tasting sub-par and flavorless. Waverly Jones: Kind of a weird time. Very cool looking inside. It took a really long time to have anyone come to seat us. Staff kept remarking on how busy it was but our whole party has worked in food service and didn't feel like it was very busy. We ordered 3 drinks, one cocktail and two draughts and it took like 20 minutes at least. It was a long wait for food and one of our appetizers came out completely cold. Entrees were hit or miss. I liked the pimento Mac and cheese but everyone else in my party felt like their dishes weren't great. Pricing felt high for what we got, especially when we realized they charged for each side of ranch. Wait staff were so great though, and they seemed to be trying to compensate for the bar and kitchen. Not necessarily a place I would go again.

Also, the prices on the menu have nearly doubled. The fish po boy which states $9 is now about $15. When I mentioned it the staff member chuckled and said "I wouldn't go by that". I get price increases but that's obscene. Gonna find a different lunch spot now.Loved it. I never would have dreamed there'd be a Vietnamese/New Orleans fusion restaurant in Michigan. kenji steakster: Been here multiple times thinking my previous experience was a fluke, but alas.. this place is a miss. They never ever have the bourbon dip, just take it off the menu at this point. Don't have the wings. Pork Bahn mi is legit atleast, but this is a very very small silver lining to the glaring issues in this restaurant. For example, the server who barely serves. She dropped off the food reaching over my empty water glass, and turned so fast I couldnt ask for a refill. Never asked how any of the food was. She just sits in the corner on her phone with the other staff. Had to flag her down to pay... Just be more attentive. I usually tip very well, but this server absolutely didn't care what so ever. I work hard for my money, not giving it to someone who doesn't work hard for theirs.
Megan Pham: I’m visiting from Los Angeles, and was happy to find this place! I’m Vietnamese and grew up eating my grandma’s pho. Got a bowl of pho here and it had full-bodied flavor and was authentic. Also had the gumbo which had a lot of flavor. Both were nicely sized portions.
Cindy Pham: Super unprofessional. Yrsa had no idea how to help me but called me back and forth 3x about my order being wrong the night prior. Ordered a pho nola and got the wrong order. She kept making excuses of why I got the wrong order (ran out of tendon but nobody told me at any point), the pho should have had brisket (basically I’m lying?), or that the manager was out of town, only trying to offer me 25% off my next order during the 3 phone calls. I just wanted what I paid for but I got to apparently spend more money to do that. Would not recommend. Staff needs to be properly trained for customer service instead of pushing blame or acting like there’s nothing they can do.

Plenty of BBQ dish presentations that you can flavor to your taste many ways at your table. Lighting is dim and cozy for an old rock n roll saloon feel in their dining area. I thought the meat mountain would have more meat but it was more of a pie tin loaded with mashed potatoes and some brisket mixed in and topped with shredded cheese, corn and bacon bits.Parking: Parking lot by the river and arcade bar has to be paid for hourly with a smartphone app.

Richard Knox: So tonight my wife and I attempted to order some food from here. Sadly they were sold out, unfortunately these things happen. The reason why I am leaving a one star review is because we drove from Battle Creek to Lansing specifically for dinner and tried calling several times. No one answered the phone, and when we walked in we were greeted by three girls standing at the front counter laughing saying they were sold out. No apology, no nothing, just laughed and turned us away. The least they could’ve done is answered the phone to advise that they were sold out. This is extremely poor customer service and will make me rethink the next time we come to Lansing for dinner.

Our waitress Keisha was very attentive without being pushy. The huge menu offered a choice of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and small plates. The hardest part was selecting what we wanted. My guest was very pleased with her choice of a cup of asparagus bisque and the Kickin' Pastrami sandwich. I chose the Wet Breakfast Burrito! The rosemary sausage gravy generously served over the delicious burrito of eggs, bacon, hash browns, peppers, and onions was beyond superb! To top it off, my friend's birthday entitled her to a fabulous complementary dessert. She chose the bread pudding soaked in a caramel syrup and topped with real whipped cream.
