Lauren Buhlman: Very unprofessional. Turned down business.I reached out via email to try and get some questions answered about wedding cakes. It was like pulling teeth to get them to answer all the questions I asked so I had to keep emailing back repeating my questions. I scheduled a tasting/consultation via phone because they won’t do it over email. After speaking with the woman who answered the phone, what we are looking for (small cake and cupcakes) didn’t need a consultation but told me to let them know if that’s how I wanted to proceed or not. So, a few days later, I emailed back asking to cancel the consultation because I didn’t want to hold up a spot for someone else. They responded saying all Wedding orders required a consultation. I responded saying how I was frustrated because I kept getting different information and that the woman on the phone told me we didn’t need one and then asked them to keep my appointment and confirm we were still on schedule. Promptly, they responded saying that I was no longer a “good fit” for them and that they were cancelling my appointment and would not be of service for our wedding. I guess they turn down business when you ask to many questions or express frustration with misinformation or point out any mistake that they make.

We got a three tiered cake with strawberry and red velvet and 4 dozen vanilla & chocolate cupcakes. Everything was so delicious and moist! Also reasonably priced! I will be a returning customer! Also the cake and cupcakes were for 150 people and we had plenty, even with saving the top tier for our anniversary.

I got an assortment of 2 dozen cookies and ended up cutting them in half because they are so large and that way people could try 2 (or 3) different kinds. They were all delicious but my favorite was the molasses cookies. Now the cupcakes were the best I’ve ever had. Perfect flavoring….the frosting was not too sweet and oh so creamy! I got an assortment of those also. All our guests loved them. The lovely staff at Cakes-A-Blooming made the place even more special. I WILL be returning again. The perfect icing ratio to cupcake and very photo worthy!

And the dacquoise was also amazing! A must taste! They also have amazing beverages to choose from. Got the matcha latte! Yum!

Nariyah: This is such a nice bakery! I went here wanting to try something new and definitely enjoyed. I was only able to get a few things because it was nearing the time of closing so I will definitely be going back to try new things. I got the pineapple macaroon, crème brûlée macaroon, matcha white chocolate macadamia cookie, and the vanilla cinnamon latte. My cousin got the caramel banana pudding, the confetti cookie, a blueberry tart, and the banana crème latte. The crème brûlée macaroon didn't really have a distinct flavor but the pineapple had a great flavor and the inside filing was good. The matcha cookie was great after being microwaved for a few seconds and latte was tasty and had a strong cinnamon flavor which I loved. My cousins also says all her items were really good. Will definitely be going back!
