Than i had to go waste more of my time going to another store. Wasted half a day of time because their tool was junk and they wouldn't replace it.

He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Scott’s brand that you carry.We discussed germination rates and the use of straw versus the grass mat to hold and protect the seed.I also inquired about the availability of some metal stakes to hold down a very large, heavy-duty tarp that I am using to cover up a section of our garden to keep weeds from growing. I am downsizing the garden and will be planting grass there eventually. Brandon was able to tell me what kind of stakes he had (plastic and metal) and where they were located.I thanked him for his courteous assistance and advice. I also asked to speak to his supervisor (Brendan) to express my appreciation for Brandon’s helpfulness, but he was not in at the time I called (9:00 p.m. ).
Daniel Dailey: We pretty much shop the Okemos store for most larger construction materials we can’t get at the local hardware. Had to build a platform for a garden shed. Met a veteran there who helped us a great deal. Got what we came for, cut to size, at the right price, basically with someone guiding us to each location. Got to thank him for his service as well. Joana Lampe: I rented a tiller for a garden project online. Since it's a small project, we rented it for the day of. We had friends ready to help shovel and rake the compost and everything was set up. I got a reminder email for my rental and everything. Once we got there, we were told that staff "had been worried about this rental" because all the tillers were still winterized and we shouldn't have been able to even place that order. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the poor high school or college kid was getting slammed without accessible supervisor support around lunch time, but he stayed polite and apologized profusely. Not his fault, but you'd think 1) that they'd update their website, and 2) once they notice there is a problem with a reservation made 4 days in advance, that they'd reach out. This way, I had to rent from AC&E in Lansing (which I should have done in the first place, they were amazing) and do the project without the help of friends. Very unfortunate. Not impressed, Home Depot.

Nikki Gubry: Please do not BUY anything Craftsman. Bought a Craftsman power washer December 2022, for my husband for Christmas. Of course it was winter here in Michigan. My husband opened and assembled the power washer early April and tried to start it end of April. The machine won't even spark up. Can't get through to a live person at Craftsman. And the only advice Lowe's could give was to contact Craftsman. This was Lowe's in Lansing, Michigan. Will definitely not shop with them for having terrible customer service. Should have known better than to buy anything Craftsman, but this is what a friend recommended.Not sure who from Lowe's posted the response back. No one at the 1-800 number even knew where to send my call to. What a joke. I am now even more furious. DO NOT BUY CRAFTSMAN. There is a reason Sears went out of business. Their product is junk. Will still not shop at Lowe's again. Would not have had this issue at Home Depot. Should have known.

The clerk directed us to Lowes West Lansing, a 15 minute drive away. We went and success! So the five stars are for Lowes West Lansing. One star for their online presence.

Jackie Machala: I am very disappointed that I arranged for a design specialist to meet at my home about 5 weeks ago, from the Lansing store, she texted me a few weeks later explaining she was very busy and I said no problem, waited a few more weeks and called the store and asked if Tammie still worked there and explained the situation… to Lori, another design expert and she promised to have Tammie follow up with me and that was a week ago… I pretty much know what I want but may have to search elsewhere for furniture as no one from the Lansing store seems interested in getting back to me. It amazes me as If an employee searches my data base, I have spent something like $20,000 in the last 10 years…. I am in Sales myself and this goes completely against my philosophy of taking care of the client ….signed, still waiting ….
Elissa Stohne: Everything is so close together in this store that I couldn’t even fit my small wheelchair. My husband had to move things out of the way literally all over the entire store for me to get through. I tried to address it with a manager and she passively said they’d look into their spacing, but honestly that didn’t sound too promising. She just seemed annoyed that I even brought it up. No “I’m sorry about that” or anything. So not okay. So disappointing for a store to not be accessible in 2021 and for the manager and other workers to not even really care. Very ableist of them. They can get through so that’s all they care about. They clearly don’t care about people with disabilities. Again, very disappointing.

There's a pottery Barn store in town but the won't pick it up, I don't have a car, and I don't have the original box. They're not very helpful with returns. Lisa Mollenkamp: I like Pottery Barn products but have had so many issues with their online ordering that I will never order from them again. In the last month, I asked for help from customer service to get some bridal registry pillow cases monogrammed, she told me she would put my order through, add the monogrammed ones and then cancel the non-monogrammed pillowcases because they had to be on the order first to get the item marked as completed on the registry. What??? But ok...she seemed to know what she was saying. Yep...I got and paid for, double pillowcases, monogrammed and plain. I let that one go. Now I am waiting over a week for pillow shams that were suppose to be here in 3 days. Tonight I ordered a gift for a shower in 6 days that said it would be here in up to 5 days. After I placed the order, I got a notice that it could be 7 days. I called customer service right away (no more than 10 minutes) and she said it was too late to cancel. So now I have nothing to take to a bridal shower. For such a high-end store...they don’t treat their customers very well. Not worth the hassle!!

Sarah Flynn: We just had someone in our home for 4 hours who we thought was a plumber, PLEASE READ !!! Just had the weirdest and worst experience in my home while dealing with a contracted worker associated with Lowe’s. We requested a toilet installation through Lowe’s and was sent an employer named Michael Beesley. At the beginning Michael was doing a good job. Getting his job done without a hitch or being in anyones way. However, as the job came to a close Michael’s behavior and work became concerning; so concerning that everyone in the house became on edge and anxious with his presence. Michael stated that he had broken something on the toilet towards the end of the installation, and that it was not his problem, the inside main water valve hence shutting our water off. Even though he was a plumber, or claimed to be, he went on to say that he could not fix that for us and we had to call a plumber and pay for additional services. He proudly followed that up by saying. “Don’t even bother calling Lowe’s, corporate doesn’t want to hear from you,” not only that but when asked if he was licensed and insured he stated “I don’t even have to be.” To make matters worse, Michael continued to brag about how much money he makes as a ‘contractor’ without even having the proper schooling behind it. I am horrified with his behavior and the fact we had this man in our home. To top it off, Michael Beesley left the location without offering a refund for his botched work, or even offering other companies we could call to fix what he had done. All I am saying is never trust Lowe’s or their contractors. I will be telling everyone I know and posting on all social media platforms about how scary this situation was.

Jason: Came in for about $600 worth of supplies. Left with 2 boxes of nails and a pencil. Was told the wrong places for things twice. Lumber missing signs, not going to guess. Epic fail, would have just left but I need the nails.Edit: Tried again to buy lumber, needed a board cut and an employee walked up and asked if I needed help. I started explaining and his phone beeped, ge grabbed it while I was talking and ignored me. After a moment he started walking away, looked over his shoulder and said, I need to help another customer and left. I have never been so disrespected in my life. Least if he called me N*gger first I would know he acknowledged me. I hope everyone in this store loses their job and die in squalor.

The item didn’t quite fit in the back of my SUV and we were trying to think of different ways to make it work. They figured it out and had a great attitude and were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I really hope to encounter them again on my future trips to the store.
