Jena Flynn: First time eating here and never again! Fried rice had a horrible strange taste, sesame chicken was absolutely disgusting looked translucent with very small pieces of all not good looking dark meat, crab Rangoons were rubbery and glossy. Threw it all away. Non friendliness and the place was cluttered and dirty looking. Not sure how this place is still in business after reading all the reviews. Health department should definitely be taking a close look at this place.

Paula St Andrew: I visited the Hong Kong on February 13th for lunch. It was hard getting there with road construction, but very worth it. The owner took care of me that day. It was such a pleasure meeting and talking with her. I ordered the General Tso's chicken. It was delicious, as was the hot and sour soup. Suddenly the owner came to my table with a small plate of what she told me was real Chinese food: pork in fish fragrant sauce, braised pork belly and potato, and fried Napa cabbage. It was wonderful! I will be ordering from the Chinese menu from now on! The only thing wrong to me was the lack of customers. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 9:30 every day but is closed on Sunday. They have lots of vegetarian options as well as vegan (plant based "meats"). The place doesn't look open because of few cars, but trust me, go in and you will love it
Sandra Finley: We ordered 3 things. Egg rolls, 98% pastry, no filling, Egg Foo Young, according to recipe books bean spouts, no but broccoli pease and carrots no gravy, Almond Chicken, browns cooking, and black meant done. I had read every good review, believed them! Wrong! To add insult to injury, no soy sauce, or mustard or sweet sauce for egg rolls. Terrible experience! We ended up after buying Soy Sauce throwing out most of the food.

Alyssa Salter: This place is amazing! The Owner noticed I wasn't enjoying the Egg Drop soup and brought me some crab rangoons, a spring roll and some sweet and sour chicken! It was very kind and she didn't even charge me! She was so helpful and kind! The food was absolutely WONDERFUL! Service was a 10/10. The Owner is up front all by herself and she was doing a fantastic job! I will 100% be returning here with my Church Family, Work Family or just anyone that will come with me!!
David Kloeckner: My wife and I enjoyed our dinner and found the delightful owner to be very helpful, she is so sweet and happy to serve you a meal. We dined on Hot and Sour soup, Pork Pot Stickers, Crab Rangoon and a bowl of Dan Dan Noodles.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

A. Powell: New restaurant for me and a friend. Discovered that hostess is new owner. The Almond Boneless Chicken was the best I’ve ever had! The breaded and deep fried breast was cooked perfectly! Stayed juicy and moist so I could eat it ALL. Did not become a brick that couldn’t be cut like I’ve had in the past. The Egg Roll was also delicious. I could taste all the flavors not just a mouth full of ginger. Will definitely return to try other dishes. I didn’t care for the Fried Rice otherwise five stars from me.
Aslam Makhlouf: Rice was over cooked. The chicken did not taste like chicken and had too much batter on really small pieces of chicken. Was my first and last time to try this place.
jojobugb: It was cold in the restaurant and seemed to have only one space heater food on the buffet was cold probably won't eat there again even the soup was cold
Chris Bryant: They got murdered on Xmas day. I felt bad for them but it was bad service, missed food, cold food. Unfortunately they were not staffed appropriately.

Lexx Lee: Delicious hot pot! Wonderful experience
Curtis Schultz: Love this place
Jay H: Fantastic service and food. We did a deal for 3/$36, a single hot pot, bunch of appetizers, and my favorite dessert (sesame balls). Nothing like a family run business that'll fill your belly like a good mom/grandma and you'll feel just as welcome here.Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
J C: Place friendly and clean. I didn't know what to eat, so the waiter recommend me some kind of pork with vegetable and it was too greasy and way too salty!
David Beek: Was excited to try this place. Extremely disappointed. After waiting 40 minutes for a simple beef soup I left. It was a quiet Wednesday night. Their electronic menus are cumbersome at best! I witnessed workers preparing meals and eating food at the same time.
Tyler Purcell: Best place to get Hot Pot! The staff is always friendly, and fast. Love the vibe of this place. Beginning to feel like a 2nd home to my girlfriend and I, seeing as we’re in here once a week at least, ha!Would give more than 5 stars if possible!
mike martinez: Delicious hot potMe and my wife enjoy coming here very often i get the veggie hot pot and her the seafood hot pot its so good especially on a cold day and their crab ragoons are delicious as well!

Ama N.: Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in East Lansing. Obsessed with the Spicy Boiled Fish. It’s got great flavor and just enough heat that even a spice addict like me can enjoy.Recommended dishes Seafood, Spring Rolls …More
Sylvia Lin: Came here twice with lunch and dinner. Lunch has a good deal and reasonable for dinning for one. With the dinner, we ordered 2 hot pots, with Japanese Miso with squid ($13.95 + $3.95) and Lamb Special with taro ($13.95+ $2.50), but the soup flavor is so similar that make it pretty boring to have to finish both. Also order fried tofu, which is the worse tofu dish I ever had; it's very tough and flavorless even when dig in the sauce. The Pork Belly Buns ($6.95) is good but portion very small (one bit size); cannot tell from the picture. Taiwanese Sausage on Rice ($14.95) was the best dish we had and both adults and kids can agree on that.
Emma Graham: Will definitely be coming back! The staff is so kind and the food was delicious! It was a great value and they had good vegetarian options. The owner is so friendly and every interaction with the staff was positive! Love the crème brûlée bubble tea!

Chef Gong Chinese Restaurant: what do users think?
B B: Food is priced well for the quantity and quality. Service is awesome. You will not get authentic Northern Chinese cuisine like this often so give it a try and enjoy!
Grace Kim: Everything I've tried from here has been great! Great customer service
Clarissa Vang: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Wings, Spring RollMore
erica cooper: 1. If you are typical Michigander and don't eat spicy things, make sure you look at the beautiful pictures accompanying the menu items and choose something that doesn't have chilies...2. Customer service was wonderful. Our server was very helpful and took good care of us. It is my belief that when Americans rate Chinese restaurant poorly based on customer service, it is actually cultural differences.3. Our meal was so delicious. The portion sizes were very large. We ordered the crispy chili chicken to share between my husband and me, and the portion was probably for a party of at least four people. The prices are high because the portions are large. great for a group of people, or great for people who love to have leftovers- update: we made our leftovers onto meals that lasted 3 days. It was very spicy, just the way we love it and can never find in this area. We also ordered the stir fry eggplant and it was one of the most delicious things ever.4. We can't wait to come back, bringing friends.
Adriana Liu: Authentic Chinese food, delicious , so fresh, large portions, looks beautiful too😻 that’s only want to come back
Annis Hapkiewicz: Food was so spicy we could not eat more than a few bites. I had a heaping pile of red peppers after trying to separate the spices from my shrimp. The shrimp were small and appeared to be farm raised. Meal was overpriced.
Wendy Guo: A cup of soy milk from Phoenix Bean House is said to be soy milk, but they are selling it openly and secretly. There is no drink menu, and the price is unknown. At the checkout, 950 ml of so-called soy milk (actually soy milk
__: Good: authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine. Delicious. Large Portion. NOT the typical American Chinese stuffs.Bad: authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine. Unmodified oily and salty. Expensive due to the large portion. NOT the two-dollar sign. Should be the three-dollar sign. Don't expect typical American Chinese stuff.
Coqui Ta: The food is amazing!!! The service is outstanding! Each customer is treated like they're the only one in the restaurant.Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious vegetarian options
Forrest Herald: Took my friend here for her birthday. We got Spicy cold noodles, Dry pot chicken, and yushuan eggplant w tofu, all were excellent. The spicy cold noodles looked very different in person than they did in the menu, but they were fantastic. I wasn't expecting the bones in the chicken, but they didn't detract from the amazing flavor of the dish, just forced me to exercise some caution while enjoying it. The tofu was amazing! Well sauced, crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. We finished the cold noodles, and brought home as much of the other two as we ate at the restaurant. Will certainly be returning to sample other items from the menu
Han Zhang: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lotMore
Clifford Walls: First time in and it won't be the last. Incredible meal and a cool vibe. I want to try everything else on the menu but it'll be hard to avoid ordering the Old Mother Pork Belly and Chef Gong's noodles everytime I go back. They were just so good.
Thu Vo (Ms.Foodies): This fine restaurant serve such authentic Chinese dishes!Recommended dishes Crispy Pork, Spicy Eggplant …More
Dan Paxton: Chef was attentive to my allergy concerns. Flavorful, delicious, and fun.

Willow Richmond: Food is authentic and the staff was very nice. We thought the prices were kind of high until we saw the portions. One order of soup was enough for 4 people. Then the waiter told us it would have been larger for a larger party for the same price. The decor is very nice, too. I consider this a fine dining place.
Matthew McDaniel: Honestly, this place is fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxing, the food is off the charts delicious and authentic. Any reviews that seem to be painting a different story are extremely off. This is probably one of the most authentic hot pot places in all of Lansing. Definitely the most tasty in all of Lansing. High praise, but it's true. Go with friends or family, and enjoy your time there. The service was great when we went in on my birthday. Staff was polite and helped with the meal choice. Also, when you go in, be respectful. They're sharing amazing food, so there isn't a point to being a jerk.
Elizabeth McDaniel: My new favorite place for Chinese food! Very authentic and delicious.
Anna Baker: Amazing flavors and so fresh, you can tell the staff and owner knows what they're doing and cares about the quality of dishes and service. We visited last night and I'm still thinking about the crispy noodles and dumplings.
Haley Burt: Perfect spot for a date night with that special someone. Food is definitely worth the price. When you can hear them chopping in the back, you know that your food is going to be fresh! Also a very relaxing atmosphere.

Dan Gunter: Kind of a little bitty place off the beaten path, and without any frills, but totally met the needs. We did not call ahead so I had to wait while the order was prepared, which it was in a quite reasonable amount of time. The helpings were large we may well get two meals each out of them. The person waiting on us seemed kind of less than fully interested but was totally competent and prompt and got the job done so, basically, it was a minor note. We will certainly consider this place quite favorably next time we're in the area.
Shelly Wood: We stopped for takeout as we drove through town. Everything was hot, tasty and in abundance! I ordered szechwan chicken and a pint of wonton soup. I bet I have enough for two more meals! Delicious!

Gina Jackson: ABSOLUTELY WORST PLACE TO EAT. If you are in the Lansing area, DO NOT GO TO ULIKE CHINESE RESTAURANT. We ordered over $250.00 of food, then we had missing items. It was like pulling teeth to get them to make the missing food. When I came to pick up the food, they charged me over $27. for food not rendered, then charged me $9. Told me that the $27. was a mistake and would return it back to my credit card. I have been calling for over a month because those charges were not reversed. Gave me the run around, talked to at least 6 people and they gave me every excuse as to why they cannot refund my monies!! Contacting BBB & my credit card company for fraud!
Ryan Gilmore: Have to saying coming tonight to get food I was saddened. I always get the combo platter with lo mein and it was like a $2 up charge. Now it’s $5. That’s crazy. Food is always good but I have to say might be the last time I come here.
Justin Macauley (macaulj): For late night Asian food, it was done fast. A peaceful, quiet and nice family owned restaurant. The food was hot and delicious. Fresh rice and fresh general Tso's chicken. 👌Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Sandra Finley: I have ordered food from here for years. Wasn’t ever #1 on my list but a solid #2. Hadn’t been able to order for awhile, and I ordered a all time favorite. Pork Egg Foo Young… well lots of egg, a little pork, no bean sprouts, no water chestnuts. A waste of time, ingredients and money. Egg rolls very greasy, everything just off.
Rick Slaght: If you like this kind of food I would highly recommend them ours was excellentParking: 10

Mark Chamberlin: The dumplings I had today were fresh and plump and full of goodness. Same with the Crab Rangoon. Fully stuffed with delicious filling. This is a family run restaurant. A bit of a hole in the wall place. But the food is top of the line Chinese. They do a booming delivery service. While we were there in late afternoon I saw at least ten orders go out. I will be back!
Paige F: I got the crab rangoon and sesame tofu delivered. Both were great! Crab rangoon especially
Jessie Austin: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Sarah sanden: Ok where do I begin... First of all it was cold as hell in that restaurant. Alot of the food was overcooked or just soaked in grease. The crab ragooons were split open and bad. So bad the waitress apologized but the cook refused to remake them... It was an expensive mistake to eat here!

Silvaria Winter: Meals that we ordered for dinner tonight were disgusting. The food was old, not cooked correctly and not barely cooked either. We use to love the food from here and I keep hoping it will get better. But it has not, it has gotten worse.
Aaron London: I ordered t and tipped well an they have brought me the wrong think twice. I've tried to be patient. Forget this place!!! Do not order from them!!!!!!
Michael s: Food was meh.. they didn't give me my crab Rangoons. Don't order delivery, and don't tip unless you get all your food. $68 out the window an incomplete flavorless meal.
LOUIS-MARIE ENGOULOU ABOMO: I didn’t like at all , the crab Rangoon was all melted together in a small box leaking the fittings out, the doubt too thick and sticky, and the special house fried rice kind of acceptable, Also I went to pick up myself and the place all wrapped up with tape doesn’t look hygienic all! What I had for my $18.75 was not worth it at all. I’m totally disappointed.

Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine: what do users think?
Hsuan-Hsueh Huang: It truly stands out as the best in Michigan, providing an unmatched level of authenticity alongside fair and reasonable prices.
Yoshihiro Mochizuki: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. I initially came across this restaurant through a recommendation from my Chinese colleague, and I'm grateful that I took their advice. At first glance, the restaurant's facade may not catch your attention, and you might even overlook it as a potential dining spot. However, stepping inside changed my perception entirely. The interior was bustling with activity, filled with Chinese families enjoying their meals, which immediately assured me that I was in for an authentic experience. As soon as I tasted the food, I knew I was in for a treat. The flavors were absolutely outstanding and genuinely captured the essence of authentic Chinese cuisine. We decided to sample a variety of dishes, and each one was a delightful culinary adventure. The dishes were so good that I was completely absorbed in their deliciousness, forgetting to take pictures as evidence of their presentation. (Hence, a lobster pic.)To add to the excellent dining experience, the service was impeccable. While engrossed in conversation with my friends, the server gracefully attended to us, ensuring that our needs were met. They even kindly packed the leftovers without interrupting our conversation, demonstrating their attentiveness and professionalism. It was evident why Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine is popular among the Chinese community. The attention to detail in each dish, along with the vibrant and rich flavors, truly made it an exceptional dining experience. It's rare to find a restaurant that stays true to its roots while catering to a diverse clientele.Although I don't live in East Lansing, I can confidently say that I would go out of my way to visit this restaurant again. The quality of the food, coupled with the warm and inviting atmosphere, makes it a place worth returning to time and time again. If you're in search of truly authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend giving Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine a try. You won't be disappointed.
Luoda Lambda: A real gem of a place. I learned that the head chef trained for years in Hong Kong to be able to make the dim sum in-house. They do not compromise on quality.Recommended dishes Dim Sum Buffet …More

Sandie Foodie: Food was flavored well, however, for the price and amount it is not worth it. Spring rolls were good, the tofu mushroom was ok though the tofu was too soft. Atmosphere is just ok. Friendly staff. Way too many options on the menu. Might be good for many but this wasn’t it for me. Clean restrooms.

hair Matthew: 平常在这边点菜吃饭就一直觉得不错,过年想换换花式,特别在店家这边定制了一个盆菜,用料相当不错,分量非常足!店家也很友好!
Ying Chen:
X Y: Called the night before Chinese New Year to order a Peking duck in anticipation of how busy they will be today. Well, they forgot my order, asked me to pay and wait OUTSIDE because there were so many people there. I waited for 20 min before calling them to ask how long it would take, they told me they had no idea either. Nobody said sorry to me the whole time.At this point, I would not even be surprised if I do not get my refund in my card.Terrible experience especially on New Year’s Eve!

Dee Webb: We were seated right away. For a Sunday at 1PM this place was packed!!!Service was swift. The menu is in a few languages.Ask questions! They serve the least Americanized Chinese food in the city.We enjoyed the butter rubbed garlic steak, baby bok choy and jalapeno chicken.Their rice wasn't special, but it was cooked nicely. We were in and out in just over an hour.We are planning on returning next Sunday. We took a picture of the menu so we can study it and be more prepared!
Christina Arthurs: Ordered pick up twice- quick and friendly service. I’ve tried the sesame chicken and kung po chicken and shrimp- the food was fresh and flavorful.
Thao Nguyen: Staffs is nice and food is good 👍🏻👍🏻
Cyril Wolbert: Authentic chinese, a great atmosphere. We went in on a Friday at about 6:00 p.m. by the time we left, the place was packed. Lzz Johnk: This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Michigan. Way back when they opened, I went there for the noodle soups, but now I'm all about the flounder casserole and Chinese broccoli. Huge portions for good prices, especially considering how delicious the food is! The servers are always friendly, although sometimes they are pretty swamped (this place gets busy on a Friday night), so, be patient. Luckily they have several large fish tanks to keep you entertained.

Kanishka Wijesekara (Kanishka): A very good reasonably priced lunch menu I must say. They also include the complimentary Korean side dishes, I was given four of them. The squid lunch special comes with soup too and for $9 it's pretty amazing!. Service is excellent, wifi wasn't strong where I initially was seated(towards the entrance) so the lady was kind enough to offer me a table at the back. Total bill for the food you see was just $13.24 🤯 This place is a godsend for the students at MSU.

M K: UPDATE:Went back on Feb 2023 and every food item we ordered was super SALTY!! When the waiter came around and asked how everything was, so my grandma said the foods we ordered were salty. The waiter just looked at us and went away like it wasn't his problem 🤦‍♀️ The restaurant needs to hire qualified employees or train their employees.. and bring back their old chef...---‐---‐------------------‐-----Some time in 2022:You get so much food for what you pay for. My family had a great time.

Jakup Abedin: This place sucks. Inside looks old, service wasn't great and food was mediocre. I went to the bathroom, and the lock is all messed up. I eat Chinese food frequently, and I just wasn't a fan of this place. I had Mongolian beef, and the beef could have been more tender and flavorful - they definitely used old sauce. I myself have made this dish better. Do I expect restaurants to go out the way and grill my meat, add chinese wine, and red chili peppers like in North China? No, but make it make sense. Get better, please.P.S. I added my dish a few years back. My wife's family absolutely tore it up.
