That is the way to go here. Don't order like you are at standard Chinese restaurant. Live a little. The freshest crab Rangoon you will ever eat. Not fake, not frozen, and not super sweet cream cheese. Real crab, seriously.Today's background music was the bomb. Way better than last time. Not to loud, and new.

Ian Griffin: Used to love this place but recently tried to order online and was turned off by the amount of frivolous fees they now charge. Minimum $15 order? Fine, lots of places do that. $5 for 3rd party delivery - again to be expected. But then we have another "small order fee"..for a quart of Lo Mein + appetizer (bear in mind this is already to meet the "minimum order" requirement)...and what's this? Another "convenience fee"? I'm already paying a convenience fee - it's called delivery charge. This experience, coupled with the recent reviews I've been seeing about the quality/service, guarantees I won't be ordering from them again.
Arachne Siofra: Food was delicious, the woman who served us was very kind. Will order from here again.
Tina Slack: The best Chinese food! Quick delivery.
Macy Shroyer: Used to come here often but it's been a few months and it's not like it used to be. Egg rolls were overcooked and the chicken was so dry, some pieces weren't even chewable. Not to mention most of it was breading and not chicken. Really disappointing and not sure if I'll be back.
Xyrish Ancero: Use to be my favorite till they got rude. Refused to take orders cause they was backed up.
John Scott: I used to go to this place on the regular when it first opened (pre-pandemic). It was good food at reasonable prices and near where I lived so I went there frequently. I moved away but was in town today and thought I would stop by. This place has changed a lot and not for the better. It seemed that three teens were the only workers when I visited today. I ordered my food and asked if there was a restroom. I was told that I was not allowed to use it. Wonder if this may be some sort of violation for dine in customers. If not, it should be. They have a makeshift sign announcing that orders of $10 or less must be paid with cash. I made note of this as I ordered the lunch special and two egg rolls. Typically a lunch special is a smaller portion of the entree with an egg roll or soup. Not here. The "lunch special" is just a smaller entree portion with rice. I was not asked if I wanted plain or fried rice. My order came up, went to my car and realized my egg rolls were not in the bag. Keep in mind that I was the only customer in the restaurant. I went back in and mentioned that the egg rolls were not in the bag. The person that took the order got two egg rolls and gave them to me - didn't ask if I wanted any sauce for them, I had to ask for it. The total for my order was just over $12. Because of the lack of attention to detail, I almost left with $8 worth of food. The food was decent but it is the lack of customer service and the inattention to detail, coupled with the unexplainable reason for not being allowed to use the restroom, that will keep me from returning. I am at a loss for what happened to this place that was run by a couple that was very friendly and very concerned with customer care.
Cho Aye: It’s really nice and clean, good customer service. And even better looking workers.
Michael Mcdonald: Not so perfect! Got beef sticks. Very tough.Don't offer condiments, Had to ask after I addressed not finding any when I got home with an previous order.
Thalia Nan: Went today for the first time and got the house special lo mein. It was delicious! Definitely would go back to try more dishes.
Karina Jean: Flavorless and bland fried rice, and they charge more than other nearby places for their crab Rangoon, which is about half the size that it should be. Not worth the money, I promise you can make it better at home.
Christian Liu: Best Chinese food in lansing
Chris Sokoloski: Have always loved this place. Last couple times not so much. Just a gradual decline, but nothing terrible. Until now. We both got fried rice. Absolutely disgusting! 1 bite was enough! Maybe time to change the oil maybe?? Sweet n sour shrimp was not very good either. Again, there was this aweful taste of dirty old oil. Don't know if I will be back.
Debra Chapman: Good food, fair prices, nice people.

Paula St Andrew: I visited the Hong Kong on February 13th for lunch. It was hard getting there with road construction, but very worth it. The owner took care of me that day. It was such a pleasure meeting and talking with her. I ordered the General Tso's chicken. It was delicious, as was the hot and sour soup. Suddenly the owner came to my table with a small plate of what she told me was real Chinese food: pork in fish fragrant sauce, braised pork belly and potato, and fried Napa cabbage. It was wonderful! I will be ordering from the Chinese menu from now on! The only thing wrong to me was the lack of customers. The restaurant is open from 11:30 to 9:30 every day but is closed on Sunday. They have lots of vegetarian options as well as vegan (plant based "meats"). The place doesn't look open because of few cars, but trust me, go in and you will love it
Sandra Finley: We ordered 3 things. Egg rolls, 98% pastry, no filling, Egg Foo Young, according to recipe books bean spouts, no but broccoli pease and carrots no gravy, Almond Chicken, browns cooking, and black meant done. I had read every good review, believed them! Wrong! To add insult to injury, no soy sauce, or mustard or sweet sauce for egg rolls. Terrible experience! We ended up after buying Soy Sauce throwing out most of the food.

Alyssa Salter: This place is amazing! The Owner noticed I wasn't enjoying the Egg Drop soup and brought me some crab rangoons, a spring roll and some sweet and sour chicken! It was very kind and she didn't even charge me! She was so helpful and kind! The food was absolutely WONDERFUL! Service was a 10/10. The Owner is up front all by herself and she was doing a fantastic job! I will 100% be returning here with my Church Family, Work Family or just anyone that will come with me!!

A. Powell: New restaurant for me and a friend. Discovered that hostess is new owner. The Almond Boneless Chicken was the best I’ve ever had! The breaded and deep fried breast was cooked perfectly! Stayed juicy and moist so I could eat it ALL. Did not become a brick that couldn’t be cut like I’ve had in the past. The Egg Roll was also delicious. I could taste all the flavors not just a mouth full of ginger. Will definitely return to try other dishes. I didn’t care for the Fried Rice otherwise five stars from me.
Aslam Makhlouf: Rice was over cooked. The chicken did not taste like chicken and had too much batter on really small pieces of chicken. Was my first and last time to try this place.
jojobugb: It was cold in the restaurant and seemed to have only one space heater food on the buffet was cold probably won't eat there again even the soup was cold
Chris Bryant: They got murdered on Xmas day. I felt bad for them but it was bad service, missed food, cold food. Unfortunately they were not staffed appropriately.

General Tso is actually decently spicy, and everything has been top notch.Ordered twice in a week, it was so good!UPDATE MARCH 2023: everything still rocks. We did the math the other day and we've spent around $700 here so far. A very regular place for us.The Mongolian beef? Fantastic. Sesame chicken? Love it. Egg rolls? My favorite place for them. Cantonese rolls? Where have they been all my life, so good! We've tried so many different things from the menu and not one has disappointed.
Nathan C (Blint): This place is a gem. I've driven past their business for years and only just tried them. I'll admit, the front of the building made me sceptical, but the food is great! The ingredients used looked incredibly fresh and the price is comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the area.I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm craving Chinese. Thank you for a delicious meal!
Randy F: Edit 2023: priced out. Nearly $20 for something that was $14-$15 a year ago.I like to try Lo Mein at chinese places I go to. This one is Lansing so far is the best. It's more a salty lo mein than a sweet one(up north has a great sweet lo mein). Was getting pork lo mein for awhile, tried the chicken lo mein and I fell in love again. Definitely try the chicken lo mein.Advice for the chef: Get rid of the bamboo shoots in the lo mein. It has a really off putting taste and can sometimes make it smell bad. I pick them out.

Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine: what do users think?
Hsuan-Hsueh Huang: It truly stands out as the best in Michigan, providing an unmatched level of authenticity alongside fair and reasonable prices.
Yoshihiro Mochizuki: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. I initially came across this restaurant through a recommendation from my Chinese colleague, and I'm grateful that I took their advice. At first glance, the restaurant's facade may not catch your attention, and you might even overlook it as a potential dining spot. However, stepping inside changed my perception entirely. The interior was bustling with activity, filled with Chinese families enjoying their meals, which immediately assured me that I was in for an authentic experience. As soon as I tasted the food, I knew I was in for a treat. The flavors were absolutely outstanding and genuinely captured the essence of authentic Chinese cuisine. We decided to sample a variety of dishes, and each one was a delightful culinary adventure. The dishes were so good that I was completely absorbed in their deliciousness, forgetting to take pictures as evidence of their presentation. (Hence, a lobster pic.)To add to the excellent dining experience, the service was impeccable. While engrossed in conversation with my friends, the server gracefully attended to us, ensuring that our needs were met. They even kindly packed the leftovers without interrupting our conversation, demonstrating their attentiveness and professionalism. It was evident why Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine is popular among the Chinese community. The attention to detail in each dish, along with the vibrant and rich flavors, truly made it an exceptional dining experience. It's rare to find a restaurant that stays true to its roots while catering to a diverse clientele.Although I don't live in East Lansing, I can confidently say that I would go out of my way to visit this restaurant again. The quality of the food, coupled with the warm and inviting atmosphere, makes it a place worth returning to time and time again. If you're in search of truly authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend giving Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine a try. You won't be disappointed.

Nobody said sorry to me the whole time.At this point, I would not even be surprised if I do not get my refund in my card.Terrible experience especially on New Year’s Eve!

Dee Webb: We were seated right away. For a Sunday at 1PM this place was packed!!!Service was swift. The menu is in a few languages.Ask questions! They serve the least Americanized Chinese food in the city.We enjoyed the butter rubbed garlic steak, baby bok choy and jalapeno chicken.Their rice wasn't special, but it was cooked nicely. We were in and out in just over an hour.We are planning on returning next Sunday. We took a picture of the menu so we can study it and be more prepared!
Christina Arthurs: Ordered pick up twice- quick and friendly service. I’ve tried the sesame chicken and kung po chicken and shrimp- the food was fresh and flavorful.
Thao Nguyen: Staffs is nice and food is good 👍🏻👍🏻
Cyril Wolbert: Authentic chinese, a great atmosphere. We went in on a Friday at about 6:00 p.m. by the time we left, the place was packed. The service was quick and friendly.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fried Rice, Seafood, Peking Duck 1 2 Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Lzz Johnk: This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Michigan. Way back when they opened, I went there for the noodle soups, but now I'm all about the flounder casserole and Chinese broccoli. Huge portions for good prices, especially considering how delicious the food is! The servers are always friendly, although sometimes they are pretty swamped (this place gets busy on a Friday night), so, be patient. Luckily they have several large fish tanks to keep you entertained.

China Flavor: what do users think?
Emmet Lang: The food is amazing and at a great price! Very friendly and quick service. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Bourbon Chicken, Egg Roll, Orange Chicken Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend …More
Ross Meenagh: Probably the best general tso I've had in town. Owner is very friendly, and it's always done fast. Great dumplings as well. Cheap, convenient location, generous portions. What else is there to ask for from your basic, hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout place?
dev perth: I never leave reviews for restaurants but I had to make an exception for this place and I see from other reviews that my experience was no isolated incident. I got off work from a 12.5 hour day and didn’t want to cook so I ordered some delivery. The food came faster than the ETA so i was optimistic. The food was nearly inedible. The crab rangoon tasted like cream cheese, maybe 2 pieces of imitation crab, and SALT. They tasted so bad I thought I had gotten covid and didn’t know it and it had affected my sense of taste. I thought there was no way it tasted like that and they would send it off to me. Nope, went to my kitchen and tasted some snacks I had and everything else tasted normal. the wrapping of the rangoon was chewy and flimsy. The orange chicken had no flavor at all and the chicken pieces themselves had a horrible texture. I have never had a meal from a restaurant taste this bad. Someone’s home cooking? Maybe. but nothing I’ve ever paid for. By far the worst chinese food i’ve ever had
Sean Burton: They forgot the forks and I ain’t got no clean forks and my dang fortune cookies like I was looking forward to them thangs like what the heck bro
keyz2 thacity: I wish I could give zero stars. This food was disgusting. The lo mein noodles were over cooked, the general tso chicken was soggy, the fried wings were burnt and the fried rice was literally just plain, obviously old rice that they added a little soy sauce to for color (no meat, no veggies or nothing) I complained to grub hub who stated they would refund the money. As soon as i made the complaint someone from China Flavor called my phone upset saying that since I asked for a refund they needed the food back. I said that was fine and they could come back and get it since we obviously hadnt eaten it. I stayed up till about 130am waiting and no one ever came nor did they answer the phone when i tried to call and see if they were still coming. I am about to throw it out now and i will never order from here again.
Evan Buikema: Ordered late at night after a horrible fiasco cooking dinner. Food came and was absolutely inedible. Save your money. There’s plenty of other Chinese options.
Tori Shultz: The food was bland, the rice was dry, the building was filthy.
Howard Smith: Hands down best Chinese food at 1amFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Ashley D: Great late night Chinese food. Inexpensive food, and the ingredients were fresh. The cabbage in the egg rolls was very green. Crab cheese was good. The people taking our order were polite.
Paige F: I've never left a negative review but this time I had to make and exception. This was, by far, the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The crab Rangoon was gross. Thought I could cover up the bad taste with the orange sauce. Nope. Its usually sweet and tasty. But this was not sweet at all, tasted like watery warm ketchup. The dumplings were just frozen type so not good. Orange chicken was slimy and inedible. I threw everything away. I used to work at a hole in the wall chinese takeout place so I like to give these places the benefit of the doubt.. but there is no excuse for how bad this food is.
Porsche' Burke: Was very interested in trying this place. Ordered there the other night and the gentleman said about 20 mins. We showed up and sat there for an hour and twenty minutes and they still had no idea of who's food was coming out and when. Lots of yelling and screaming between staff members. And the whole facility needs some love. Never eneded up receiving food or getting a call back . Very unfortunate interactment.
Christopher Parks: Great people hot food nice driver
CrystalGryphon _2001: Food never arrived on time slotted. Not ordering here again if the expectation is to just send them money and not deliver my food. I ordered over an hour ago, and it has not arrived. I'm better off walking and grabbing my meal the next time I want lunchFood: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Harley Ellis: I know what you’re thinking. It’s late. Your hungry. And you see that this place delivers until 2am. I felt the same way so then let me guess you checked the reviews just like I did and you say ehh not to bad. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. After ordering my food I received phone calls from the driver demanding a cash tip upon arrival. When the food arrived the sweet and sour chicken was absolutely undercooked and slimy completely inedible and I could barely swallow it after microwaving it for 10 minutes straight. My beef and vegetables consisted of pink/gray mystery meat, onions, carrots, celery, and cabbage. Completely disgusting and not worth the money whatsoever just skip the poor experience and go to the gas station and buy yourself a 7$ ham sandwich. I promise you will be much happier.
Kent Kramer: Ordered delivery online, my account was charged, and food never came. Tried calling repeatedly and no answer.
Allison King: This place is open until 2am which is very helpful if you need a restaurant at a late hour. Their menu has a variety of options and definitely worth a try. Located on Michigan Avenue in a convenient location.
Carolyn Watters: Love everything
K Wallace: Pictured is the vegetable lo mein. Delicious! It was full of flavor, the vegetables were fresh, and the portion size is huge. The staff here are always friendly, the food comes up fast, and hot! Their late hours are a plus as well. What more could you ask for?
Tinkeramber inker: We've ordered from here several times bcuz it's open so late & I'm on 2nd shift. It's not the best but open late & combo plate pricing are it's only merits. Very great & not flavorful food. My mother refuses to eat it. Meanwhile, my daughter is fine with it. Tonight I ordered contact free delivery trying to be conscientious bcuz I had a positive covid test. I made an extra note to just leave on the porch bcuz in the past the delivery driver STILL knocks on the door & waits for you EVEN if you ask for contact free. They literally cancelled my order. My CONTACT FREE order bcuz I said I had covid. It's totally illogical. I haven't even been outside. So IF you do test positive, just don't tell them. Absolutely ridiculous. So I ordered from Conrad's instead with no problems. Better yet order earlier from somewhere else or get Conrad's if it's late night. Much faster.
Honey Anderson: Sometimes the food makes me nauseous but they have the best hours for being open late

Chef Gong Chinese Restaurant: what do users think?
B B: Food is priced well for the quantity and quality. Service is awesome. You will not get authentic Northern Chinese cuisine like this often so give it a try and enjoy!

erica cooper: 1. If you are typical Michigander and don't eat spicy things, make sure you look at the beautiful pictures accompanying the menu items and choose something that doesn't have chilies...2. Customer service was wonderful. Our server was very helpful and took good care of us. It is my belief that when Americans rate Chinese restaurant poorly based on customer service, it is actually cultural differences.3. Our meal was so delicious. The portion sizes were very large. We ordered the crispy chili chicken to share between my husband and me, and the portion was probably for a party of at least four people. The prices are high because the portions are large. great for a group of people, or great for people who love to have leftovers- update: we made our leftovers onto meals that lasted 3 days. It was very spicy, just the way we love it and can never find in this area. We also ordered the stir fry eggplant and it was one of the most delicious things ever.4. We can't wait to come back, bringing friends.
Adriana Liu: Authentic Chinese food, delicious , so fresh, large portions, looks beautiful too😻 that’s only want to come back
Annis Hapkiewicz: Food was so spicy we could not eat more than a few bites. I had a heaping pile of red peppers after trying to separate the spices from my shrimp. The shrimp were small and appeared to be farm raised. Meal was overpriced.
Wendy Guo:
__: Good: authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine. Delicious. Large Portion. NOT the typical American Chinese stuffs.Bad: authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine. Unmodified oily and salty. Expensive due to the large portion. NOT the two-dollar sign. Should be the three-dollar sign. Don't expect typical American Chinese stuff.
Coqui Ta: The food is amazing!!! The service is outstanding! Each customer is treated like they're the only one in the restaurant.Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious vegetarian options
Forrest Herald: Took my friend here for her birthday. We got Spicy cold noodles, Dry pot chicken, and yushuan eggplant w tofu, all were excellent. The spicy cold noodles looked very different in person than they did in the menu, but they were fantastic. I wasn't expecting the bones in the chicken, but they didn't detract from the amazing flavor of the dish, just forced me to exercise some caution while enjoying it. The tofu was amazing! Well sauced, crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. We finished the cold noodles, and brought home as much of the other two as we ate at the restaurant. Will certainly be returning to sample other items from the menu

Clifford Walls: First time in and it won't be the last. Incredible meal and a cool vibe. I want to try everything else on the menu but it'll be hard to avoid ordering the Old Mother Pork Belly and Chef Gong's noodles everytime I go back. They were just so good.

Willow Richmond: Food is authentic and the staff was very nice. We thought the prices were kind of high until we saw the portions. One order of soup was enough for 4 people. Then the waiter told us it would have been larger for a larger party for the same price. The decor is very nice, too. I consider this a fine dining place.
Matthew McDaniel: Honestly, this place is fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxing, the food is off the charts delicious and authentic. Any reviews that seem to be painting a different story are extremely off. This is probably one of the most authentic hot pot places in all of Lansing. Definitely the most tasty in all of Lansing. High praise, but it's true. Go with friends or family, and enjoy your time there. The service was great when we went in on my birthday. Staff was polite and helped with the meal choice. Also, when you go in, be respectful. They're sharing amazing food, so there isn't a point to being a jerk.
Elizabeth McDaniel: My new favorite place for Chinese food! Very authentic and delicious.
Anna Baker: Amazing flavors and so fresh, you can tell the staff and owner knows what they're doing and cares about the quality of dishes and service. We visited last night and I'm still thinking about the crispy noodles and dumplings.
Haley Burt: Perfect spot for a date night with that special someone. Food is definitely worth the price. When you can hear them chopping in the back, you know that your food is going to be fresh! Also a very relaxing atmosphere.

Jakup Abedin: This place sucks. Inside looks old, service wasn't great and food was mediocre. I went to the bathroom, and the lock is all messed up. I eat Chinese food frequently, and I just wasn't a fan of this place. I had Mongolian beef, and the beef could have been more tender and flavorful - they definitely used old sauce. I myself have made this dish better. Do I expect restaurants to go out the way and grill my meat, add chinese wine, and red chili peppers like in North China? No, but make it make sense. Get better, please.P.S. I added my dish a few years back. My wife's family absolutely tore it up.
