Nancy Smith: Chapman Siding was highly recommended to us by our general contractor last spring after a car ran into the front of our house. Our insurance company covered repairs and restoration work including residing the front of the house and rebuilding the porch. We decided to reside the whole house, add new gutters, redo the porch and build a new deck using Azek materials.Our first contact was with Adam Boyd who was very easy to talk to, and knowledgeable, and sold us on using the company. Elaine Siebenrock: Faced with a window installation that was not only not up to code, but unsightly (by another contractor), I called Chapman Siding to get advice how to fix the problem. Adam Boyd, from Chapman Siding, left a jobsite to come assess my concerns. Adam spent a good amount of time discussing my options to correct the situation. Once we decided on the best solution, he quickly sent me a detailed estimate for the repairs. Being impressed with his professionalism, I further questioned him on the problems that I was currently experiencing with my insurance company, which was a roofing claim that I was dealing with for over 9 months, without resolution. Adam was willing to help me gain necessary proof of roof damage that I needed to get my claim settled. He came to my home within minutes notice to have a video call with the adjuster, and the fight that I was battling alone for 9 months was solved within minutes. From that date, it was a total of one week till I had my new roof installed. Adam met with me to choose the color, and gave me a detailed schedule of how the roof installation would unfold. The crew that came to my house was professional and courteous, and completed the job in one day. They ensured that everything was picked up and respected my home and property, and the dumpster was even picked up the same day. Steve Chappell: When our home was built back in 2000, Chapman Siding did all the siding work for our builder. We actually used them to do other work for us after. When we needed some work done in 2019, we called Chapman Siding. On May 9th 2019 Mike Chapman came to our home and then provided us with a quote do some siding work, which we approved and were told we'd be schduled. As summer was coming to a close, we started calling and emailing Mike Chapman to find out when our work would be done. Despite 10 plus calls and emails, Mike Chapman would not respond back. Fianlly, late fall I left him a last message letting him know I did not want to go online a give him a poor rating but if I did not hear from him I was prepared to. Low and behold, Mike Chapman finally called with a song and dance excusee then a promise he would take care of our work in Spring 2020. We have been emailing and calling Mike Chapman as spring stated coming seeking to line up a time to get the work done. Mike Chapman is again not returning calls or emails. As a business owner myself, I am baffled by his complete unprofessional conduct. It takes so little effort to call or email someone back.People need to know when a business conduct is unprofessional. Mike Chapman and Chapman Siding has clearly demonstrated they are an unprofessional and unreliable. We are taking all our business to a reputable professional siding business. At first everything seemed fine but after a bit, NOT SO MUCH! Had multiple issues with this repair after the fact. Months after repair AND first Google review posted ceiling repair started leaking again. Company came back out three times to investigate. After doing a bit more work I was told it was NOT their problem because their work is good. Leak must be coming from roof problem. Tim, the owner came out himself and looked at their repair again and said it's all good. I had multiple issues with the rude girl in the office as well. Now after paying another $1,600 to another company with pictures and proof that the work from Exteriors was not done correctly the leak is finally fixed. I did not contact Exteriors of Lansing back simply because the owner, Tim flat out told me after the last time they were out and were all done because they were confident the issue was not there fault. Not happy at all. I will definitely make sure not to recommend exteriors of Lansing simply because of the customer service was terrible and the work was not done correctly and in turn I was made to feel like I was crazy and the problem was not due to Exteriors of Lansing. If ZERO stars were allowed I would've changed it to that.

Noah Iung: I hired exteriors of Lansing to install windows and repair fascia/soffit. Derrick came out and gave me an accurate quote and answered any questions I had. As soon as the custom windows arrived they installed all sixteen windows, repaired and replaced some of my fascia/soffit, and reinstalled some siding, all in the same day! Where to begin, from the start this company acted as if they didn’t need our business, very stuck up and rude receptionist.They do not communicate, if we had any issues everyone “didn’t know” and took a while to resolve any issues with no apology! several items got destroyed during the process of siding! Our deck was dented, screens busted, fascia was all bent, the list goes ON!! No apology! No daily clean up as stated in the contract we have found SEVERAL NAILS which is terrible because we have little kids so this summer we will have to go around with a magnet and clean it ourselves.Also if you do decide to still go with this company make sure you get proof of county inspection, they tried to say our roof was passed and wanted final payment after we called the inspector ourself who said no they had to fix a few things first. Connie Cogswell: We bought our house less than 2 years ago, one of the selling points was that it had a newer roof that we wouldn’t have to replace for many years. That roof is leaking. We called the previous owners who sent us the paperwork. Roof was done by Exteriors of Lansing 9 years ago with a 30 year warranty on materials and labor. Called them and asked if their warranty was transferable and was told yes. Was called by Shawna because I put in a call for an estimate to fix or replace the roof. Told her that there was a warranty and that exteriors did the work. She then told the warranty was non transferable but she would talk to her boss and call me back. No callback, so I called several other roofing companies to come look at the roof and give us estimates, one company did a temporary fix to stop the leaking until we could get the issue corrected. I finally did get a call back from the office at Exteriors a few days after this from a lady apologizing for giving me incorrect information because the warranty was not transferable and she misunderstood my question. We had a conversation and afterwards she agreed to send someone out to look and see what the problem was and if it was caused by something they did and talk to the boss. The repairman came out and looked at the roof. He agreed that the shingles were not started correctly but said the wood underneath was not wet currently. I told him we had someone come out and do a temporary fix to stop the leaking the week before. A day later I got a call saying that Exteriors would not cover the roof because it wasn’t wet when they came out and that the warranty was not transferable. Don’t use this company. If they stand behind their work and do a good job they should offer a transferable warranty and a 30 year warranty should be good for 30 years. Anyone who has had them do their roof should check their eaves to make sure they are not leaking. The roof looks fantastic but was NOT done correctly. The ice and water shield doesn’t come all the way to the edge of the eaves and the starter strip has seams lined up on seams and this is the reason it’s leaking. The fact that this roof was put on incorrectly was verified by 2 different reputable roofing companies. Buyer beware.

barbara marzette: I hired Exterriors of Lansing in the spring to install new gutters with a guard to stop debris from filling up my gutters. By May I was having water running over the top of the gutters.The whole point of having the guards put on was to prevent my having to get up on a ladder. When I was able to get someone to get up on a ladder the guards were so clogged there was no wonder why water was running over the top of the gutter.I think I was mislead by the company and overcharged. Exterriors is the middle man when it comes to gutters so I paid not only Exterriors but the gutter company. Yeah not happy at all.

Pabbam: The actual work they do deserves 5 stars, seriously, it's great. Good price too. That being said -1 star because they don't communicate what's going on with your project as well as they could. I didn't actually know when the roofers would show up for example.

Derek Melot: Team at Exteriors never disappoints. I had a complex conversion of an exterior wall that involved demolition of old windows, installation of a steel I beam and installation of a tracked door system. Project manager Kevin stayed in close contact with my architect and the door manufacturer to ensure all measurements were correct. The demo and install took 1 week, just as Exteriors had estimated.
