Brian Murley: I have a VW Tigaun. Took it to Wiiliams Auto for a noise coming from my back left tire, Williams replaced the arm bar lever , $1200 later, noise still there. Come to find out it was the wheel barriers that needed to be replaced, called Williams for estimate, $1200. Then called Mike's Auto Care $600 .... Rinda Wahmhoff: My son goes to MSU, and I live on the other side of the state, so when his transmission started acting up on a Friday afternoon, I had him limp to the nearest business and park it. I Googled highly rated mechanics nearby, and Randall topped the list, so I drove to Lansing on Saturday and helped him limp his car to Randall. When I called them Monday morning, their staff was super friendly as they explained that they don't do transmissions, but recommended a great place nearby, Transmission Technology. Randall Auto assisted with getting the keys to the tow driver without any complaints, and even let me know when the car had been picked up. I give Randall Auto 5-stars just for being friendly and helpful, and for recommending an awesome transmission shop nearby. Both Randall Auto and Transmission Technology get 5-stars, and both are now in my contacts list, it's really nice to have businesses you can trust from out of town!Service:Auto maintenance

Our son hit a curb and snow bank 2 years ago. His whole front end in the drivetrain was messed up. We took his vehicle there and they were up front with us that the repair would be more than the vehicle was worth. And they were also unsure that the vehicle would drive right. Little did she know I've been trying to figure out what was going on with it for a while, just was gonna take it step by step. They are very much appreciated, and im excited to be seeing Rose and the team again soon!

Xosé López: My 2012 Subaru was a mess after I moved from NY: exhaust fell and broken, brakes wasted, and right tire doing a weird noise from quite some time due to a broken bolt, with a dangerously loose part of the car. ALL FIXED, and also they provide layman's explanations and showed hands-on to me where the problem was for every issue. Some people complain about they may take a lot of time, but that's because they have a lot of work because they are SO GOOD AND HONEST people. They have my highest recommendation.

Scott Scotson: I've had several shops look at my car to find the annoying rattling noises I can hear but they'd always say nothing was wrong.The gentleman here at Optimist Auto checked the little overlooked things and was able to quiet a lot of the noises.Also, the mechanic is very knowledgeable. He knew a lot about my car even though it's not the most common car out there.I really liked that my car was able to be looked at without an appointment. The desk person is friendly and the whole place looks very clean.They use modern equipment, including computers and payment systems. I feel the place was reasonable in cost.I will be coming here from now on.

Josh Mac: Had my vehicle in for service, 400miles later the “repair” failed. So I had to pay for a tow and additional maintenance that the shop alleges were necessary. Yet no mention of an issue with the prior service. I’m certain you scammed me! 400miles and an alternator fails? Not likely.
Josh H.: Too much oil was put in the engine during oil change. I received a refund but no apology when I went to pick up the check. In the past I have left positive reviews for previous work that was done but I cannot give a good review this time around. I have taken numerous cars here to have work done but I won't be returning.

Matt Sherman: Our van broke down on the way from Grand Rapids to Detroit right before our flight was going to leave. We decided to just drop it off at this place and Uber to the airport. Holt Auto Repair couldn't have been any nicer or accomodating to our unusual predicament. They were prompt, handled all of our questions and had our van waiting out front with the keys locked in it so that we could pick it up on Saturday when they were closed. Highly recommend.
