Elijah Zech: I’ve shot 2 gatherings here and I’ve loved the staff and venue each time. If you’re thinking of coming here, I can’t imagine any other place that would beat it located in Lansing. Great vibes, lovely staff, and very accommodating.

Stephanie Navarro: The Cadillac Room is inside of Riverview Church, which is in Reo Town. I go to this church... it is a nondenominational church. It's nice. Come as you are. Has a coffee, tea & hot chocolate bar. Sermons begin @ 10am & usually let out 11:15-11:30. There are groups for younger ages. There are groups for women. There are live bands. There are all types of events that you can sign up for. It's an extremely comfortable church. I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere compared to a strict, by the book, hymns out of a hymn book, read the bible verses word by word w/o any interpretation, etc. The pastors are knowledgeable & so very friendly/personable. It's an extremely non judgmental zone!

Liz: We had our wedding reception here in Sept 2022. Everything was perfect! The communication leading up to the event was excellent, Leah was always helpful and responsive. The staff onsite day-of coordinated with our vendors so we didn't even have to think about anything other than the celebration. The venue is beautiful and guests made many comments about the space being perfect. I would recommend them to any others considering them for their events.

I can say this is one of the nicer place for an event in Lansing. Staff is super helpful and works with you to make sure you have what you need. Check them out if you need event space.

Melanie Smith: I wish I could give this venue a higher rating because it is beautiful and I loved my wedding and how everything turned out. So for the actual venue itself, I would rate it much higher. I love the repurposed hardwood floors, the bathrooms are nice and spacious, the garage rooms are a perfect way to break up the space for a big event like a wedding. Now comes the reason for such a low rating - the people and experience working with the venue. We were able to schedule a first meeting quickly despite COVID, and the event coordinator was friendly. We booked quickly after and once our deposit was made it was crickets. We would call and not hear back for weeks, eventually being told that they didn't have the staff to "man the phones" so everything went to the answering machine and no one checked that. When we did hear back, we would get information that was completely contradictory to what we had already been told, which created huge issues with other service providers, such as our rental company and caterer. The price of this place seems extremely reasonable until you start adding up the miscellaneous costs you incur because not much is included. DO NOT book this place if you are doing a wedding without a professional planner/coordinator. Just don't. If you do book here, get everything in writing down to the smallest detail so they cannot go back and tell you differently 4 days before your wedding. Lastly, our event was over a month ago and we are still waiting for a refund we were promised before our event even happened.

Leah worked with us to make sure that our reception looked fabulous and Grace was a huge help during the setup for the reception and on the day of. I would highly recommend going with the Cadillac Room for a reception or any event.

A baked potato was not an option tonight but, what a blessing because the mashed potatoes had me at the first bite! I’ve never had such a fantastic mash before. My wedding was on 4/29/23 and we are incredibly thankful for Carmen, Amanda, and the team. Communication was great the entire 8 months of planning, I never doubted if anything would be done right, and our guests loved the space. The decorations were beautiful, the food was great, the staff went above and beyond.I am so thankful for The Hidden Gem!

I had an anniversary party that we decided to turn into a "surprise" wedding at The Gem, and I never would have been able to pull it off without Miss Carmen's help. She is a blessing! She's very patient, flexible, knowledgeable, creative, and talented. I loved working with her. She communicates very effectively-which is great when planning an event! She even took some time to pray with me when I had "bridezilla" moments,. That's priceless in my eyes. She exceeded my expectations in every way.The room was gorgeous! The centerpieces were perfect. Oh, the food was absolutely delicious!We looked at other venues, but I was sold on Carmen and her Gem at our first meeting. Brian Jenks: Meal portion size horrendously small; meat sliced at 2-3 ounces/person; desserts ran out before an announcement could be made that they were available. We had 185 people for wedding, food was made for about 2/3 that number (I worked in food services and banqueting for several years). On the positive side all of the staff were wonderful and hard-working, and the building and location are both very nice. Food (although insufficient for number of people) was well prepared/tasty.

Let me add, reasonable priced and they are very professional!! From the day we became interested in their venue, our experience were nothing short of amazing! Carmen and Amanda answered all of our questions no matter how many questions…lol…Carmen and Donna were very helpful and pleasant on the day of our rehearsal and wedding day! The food was delicious!
