Women's Health Clinic: what do users think?
Diamond Wiggins: Don’t go here if you’re pregnant!!! They’re the most unprofessional people I’ve ever went through the lady doesn’t even speak fluent English and never answers the phone!! Will schedule a ultrasound and will give u a different time so that u miss your appointment !! I’m 40 weeks and I’ve never had prenatals everytime I’ve told them to send me prenatals they’ve never sent them so I went this whole pregnancy not being able to take prenatals they’ve never scheduled me for a glucose test and I’m over my due date and they’re trying to make me wait untill I’m 42 weeks to get induced which is very risky !! Don’t go here or your baby’s health will be put in danger and when u ask to speak to a supervisor they will hangup on u and keep declining ur calls I also asked to be put on bed rest the foreign lady wrote me a doctors note excluding me from work but when my short term disablitly faxed her paperwork to fill out she told them she never wrote me a note to begin with and I still have the note for proof‼️
Jordan Mcclellan: They put a Nexplanon implant in my arm over3 years agoThey refused to Let me make an appointmentTo get it removed
Chubbyking -: Service was slow even though there was no one else besides me in the lobby.

Sparrow Women's Health: what do users think?
Amber Swint: I was hung up on by their receptionist Teisha twice when calling to have an order sent to McLaren. She had a dramatic and rude attitude. Refused me to talk to the office manager about the incident. I'm now changing offices.
Daymara Rodriguez: I’m always treated with respect when I go and my concerns are always listened to!
Lindsey Z: I called to get information for a first time pregnancy never in my life have I ever felt so disrespected and dismissed. The receptionist is so rude and unhelpful it was baffling. I guess I should of looked at reviews before calling. 1.9 says it ALL!
Andrea Thomas: I have been coming to this women's clinic since 2004 back then it was five stars today I give it one the nurses are rude and condescending you can hear then discuss patient information freely and loudly they seem to not care about the patients at all last time I was in for my yearly the nurse had a disgusted face yeah cause thats comforting I'm already uncomfortable and not very knowledgeable for being a health team
Kassandra Hanson: I started coming here in 2019. And I enjoyed being here. Very sweet and nice people. Yes, when I went I was normally in and out like that but others time there was kids and they were screaming but I honestly didn't mind it. Some of the patience waiting to be checked in was rude to the workers. I started to come here because of sparrow hospital. 🙂 The only bad time were I had to wait for a bit to get checked out.. but other than that again I enjoyed coming here very sweet and nice people. From others people experience you can't blame the workers for screaming kids it's not there fault. Its the parents fault that the kids are screaming.
Ci Ci: Doctor's are great. Genuinely listen and advise. Receptionhowever argues real quick and today I saw one woman cough into her hand, wipe her nose on her hand and not even sanitize before grabbing my ID. I can't come back here.Oh you can't be ten minuyes late or they'll cancel you. But they're always at least 30 late for my appointments.
Danielle Popoff: My past couple experiences have been terrible here. They couldn't figure out the problem I was experiencing so they told me to come back in 3 months. The doctor was throwing around the cancer word when she couldnt even diagnose what the actual problem was. Will not return.
Angelyca Soucy: Horrible place to interact with!I had an appointment scheduled on the 27th and when I called to confirm my appointment, the employee told me that my appointment was 10:00 and that I needed get there at 9:45 for checkin.I got there at 9:53 (my bad I know), but the front desk told me that I wouldn’t be seen because I was 13 minutes late for my appointment at 9:45 and their limited was 10 minutes. I explained my earlier phone call confirming my appointment at 10:00, but it made no difference then I was told that the Dr. would call me for a phone consult between 5:00 and 6:00 on that day.I kept my phone at my side all day so that I didn’t miss the call and by 7:00, never having received a call, I gave up and went on with the rest of my night. At about 9:30 that night I saw a missed call from the Dr. at 8:34! A minimum of 2 hours and 34 minutes after the scheduled time! Then I called on the next day and rescheduled a 1:30 phone consult for the next week. At 1:45 I called the office to let them know that the Dr. was 15 minutes late and asked about the appointment. The employee told me to just continue waiting! When I hung up, I saw I had missed the doctor’s call. I called back and nobody helped out, I was just told to continue waiting for a call from the doctor.I waited almost the whole afternoon for my call, which never came.I missed work waiting for this and I still didn’t have my appointment/consultation!You guys need better communication between your doctors and front desk. You also need to actually run the place like a professional establishment and treat your patients with respect. I just have a simple issue that I’m sure the doctor could figure out within minutes. I’ve been trying to schedule for over 3 weeks now.Unbelievable! I can’t imagine how it would be if my appointment was for something more serious!
Sheila Stutz: They classify people and treat them accordingly! I have asked for the rest of my medical records several times over the last few years, no budging! Also, I can't help but wonder what they did with the only doctor in the Sparrow Health System who found it necessary to do a skin scraping examination and why I got put on a wild goose chase about my elbow exray after my elbow filled with liquid...things that make you go hmmm
Taylor Michalek: I would not recommend sparrow women’s health to expectant mothers. I’ve been a patient for 3 years, starting when I was a patient for my high risk pregnancy. I recently became pregnant again and called to request an appointment and initial lab work, as I had extremely low levels during my 1st pregnancy. I was told I could not schedule an appointment until I was 7 weeks, and I couldn’t have my labs done until 9 weeks and that was “policy”..no exceptions if you have complications in the past. And not knowing how far along you are because they don’t do labs to look at your levels! So I called a different sparrow OB location, and they borderline laughed and said they did not have a policy like that. After talking to a nurse who looked at my chart, she couldn’t believe I was denied simple lab work considering all the issues I’ve had during pregnancy.Apart from that whole issue, wait times are very long. I’ve waited in a room with 2 crying toddlers for over an hour just waiting for a doctor. Apart from that if you’re late at all, they will not see you. They also completely messed up my depo-shot because the receptionist didn’t think to schedule me during my window so I had to discontinue the birth control all together. I then had to pay for lab work for pregnancy testing before they’d give me a different form of birth control, even though it was clearly their error. At the end of it all, I was given birth control pills when I explained I am bad with taking them..but the doctor didn’t care and said my blood pressure was high..shocking someone has high BP after waiting an hour for a doctor in a tiny room with 2 screaming toddlers. They’ve definitely went downhill, they have a super high turnover rate with receptionists which seems to be the root of the problem because there’s no consistency at all. Call a different location-You’ll have a much better experience.
A_Grey_Boy Vex: 40 minutes on hold to get refills
Kira Ferguson: While I havent had an issue with the staff, other than a shaking handed trainee steuggling with IUD insertion making me very uncomfortable, their hours are terrible. I am a working woman, full day job all week. They open after I am at work and closed by the time I get out, forcing me to take a day off for an hour long appointment.
Elizabeth Clark: They have a 10min late policy and I respect that. But I’ve been THIRTEEN MINUTES LATE with 2 kids in tow, one screaming their ear off. They turned me away and said to reschedule. There’s no wiggle room with them at all. Meanwhile I’ve waited in their waiting room well over 30min. There is just no personal feel to them.
Shannon Kassab: I called at 4:25pm. They immediately placed me on hold for 5 minutes then transferred me to a completely different building. A nice woman answered and apologized and let me know they were the building located behind sparrow women’s health. So I hang up and call back again and they are CLOSED! Very unprofessional!
Lexus Giddings: Horrible service, the receptionist was rude as I tried to schedule an appointment. Her tone of voice immediately changed and became more pleasant after I told her what insurance I had. Once I scheduled my appointment (which was a month and a half away) I came in to see Dr. Sarah R Pearl, DO and she decided not to see me because I was five minutes late (there is a ten minute late policy). The receptionist asked if I would like to reschedule and proceeded to tell me it would be in 2 and a half months. So after I waited a month and a half Dr. Sarah R Pearl wouldn't see me and the receptionist who was still being rude suggested I reschedule and come back in two months.
Kathy Berry: Excellent experience fromCheck in to check out and everywhere in between!! Wonderful ENTIRE staff!! Highly recommend!

Planned Parenthood - Lansing Health Center: what do users think?
Perseus Jason: Services are always available on a sliding scale. Be ready for an hour+ wait for your appts regardless of why you are coming in. routine check up or pill appts vary due to preference in services but up from a 2/5 rating last year. Would give 4/5 but for the wait a -1 malice to rating
Adam Mercer: I'm worried if this is a real planned Parenthood, or if this also has a hidin Christian agenda?
Briana Carpenter: They were very slow. Waited 30 minutes after my appointment time, and another 30 in the room. The staff was very nice when i interacted with them but things were definitely running behind.
Kitten Kay: I've been going here since I was 16, and they've always been very nice to me. I'm 26(almost 27) and I still go here. Thank you for everything you've done for women like me!
Finn McGee: The staff made me feel very welcomed and they were very cool! The wait times were a little long but honestly I'm very satisfied with everyone there, they did so much for me and I couldn't thank them enough ❤️💕
Kyanite: Really compassionate and thoughtful staff all around! Best medical experience I have ever had and an otherwise painful procedure was done in a way that made me comfortable and informed.
Lindsay Barchard: Great first experience here for my wellness exam. Super friendly, professional and helpful staff.
Monica Sherman: Got my implant taken out here by Kaitlyn and she did an AMAZING job! Painless and she is such a great peoples person. Definitely recommend! All the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Justina Diem: I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about because I had a wonderful experience! The entire staff was super sweet and Caitlyn did an amazing job at keeping me comfortable while taking out my birth control implant! Highly recommend coming here!
Ke'Lannie Rockett: I was nervous about my experience coming here after reading all the reviews but everyone was kind and answered every question that I had. Nikki was especially great. They have my support 100%
Devin Myers: I was under the assumption that Planned Parenthood offered free STD testing, but they do not. You have to be a registered client with them in order to even receive that. You have to see a clinician before that’s even possible. They don’t tell you any of this information until after your visit. $80 for an STD test. That’s disgusting. They didn’t tell me the price until after the procedure was done. Health departments offer STD testing for FREE. Don’t go to planned parenthood for any sort of testing if you haven’t already or else they will charge you an arm and a leg.
Alyx England: The wait is painfully long and staff are "just okay"
C. G.: Besides the wait times (due to covid, so I understand) I don't understand these bad reviews. Autumn was so nice and sweet from the phone call, all the way to getting me checked out. She answered every question I had and printed out information sheets as well.NP Markstrom was just as nice and understanding, also answering my questions and hearing out all my concerns. She made me feel safe the whole time and talked me through everything she was doing. My experience here was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go again.
Hailey Amarie: The women here all made me feel so comfortable I went in to get my Nexplanon removed and didn’t feel a thing they even held my hand and gave me snacks afterwards and were super informative and professional
Maliah Czachowrski: Was just hung up on, very professional.
Becky Adair: Haven't been to this location in years but I went the other day just for a check up and I had a great experience. I called to make an appointment and I was able to get in within a couple days. The girls over the phone and in person were very helpful and friendly. The clinician who examed me was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend planned parenthood.
Michigander: The wait times are about as predictable as any clinic - they actually were nice enough to call ahead this time and let me know they were running behind, and helped me reschedule painlessly. But the care is what keeps me coming back despite the unpredictability. These kinds of medical visits can be really upsetting for someone like me with PTSD. The two physicians I’ve seen were extremely kind and attentive, clearly trauma-informed, talked me through everything they were doing, and made it easy to ask questions. They manage to make the appointment go by quickly and calmly without feeling rushed at all. I have left every time feeling a little more relieved than the last. Highly recommend PP for anyone who might be feeling nervous for any reason.
P Emerald: I will start off by saying I love Planned Parenthood but this location is absolutely awful. I made an appointment a couple weeks ago got there from driving 30 minutes and was told their systems was down so I had to reschedule. I made a new appointment days later went in today and was told I had to wait outside until I could be checked in it was 85° outside I waited outside for a hour and a half my appointment was at 2:15 I got called in at around four. When I got called in she took my temperature right away and told me I was above the temp they allowed. She waited not even a minute and took it again twice. Didn’t even let me cool down from being outside and told me I can’t be there all while arguing with the other nurse on staff about whether or not I could be re-tempt or I had to leave. They were very rude and unprofessional I went out of there in tears today as they made me felt so uncomfortable and just purely unprofessional. As I left they had about six other people sitting outside in 85° weather for who knows how long. If you can go anywhere else to another location I would suggest that this place is horrible.
kamdog kam: Appointment was at 11:30 wanted a half and hour just go get in and there was nobody at the place. And on top of that we waited another hour and half just to get done with it
Danielle Wilson: If I could give less than one star, I would. I LOVE planned parenthood and what they provide and stand for but absolutely not this location. I made an appointment months in advance and drove an hour just for them to tell me they wanted to charge me two grand, cash only for something that costs three hundred dollars at every other location I’ve called. It’s pretty sketchy to me and seems like they wanted some extra pocket change. I love planned parenthood but recommend going to another location if you can.
Susan Simons: Wonderful staff. So glad I can go to planned parenthood for my basic healthcare needs and barely have to pay anything as I am very poor. I don’t know what I would do without them. Never had a bad experience except for when they were getting used to new covid restrictions and it was a long wait, but that’s to be expected and if anyone is getting frustrated during this time just imagine how hard their jobs are. I’ll never say a bad word against this place.

Sparrow Medical Group Lansing OB/GYN - Lansing: what do users think?
mandi gilpatrick (legallybrunette88): I am ONLY giving this place 2 stars because the doctors I've seen have been great. Not the best at being on time for appointments though, I've sat in the waiting room for 40 min past my appointment time. Also HIGHGLY disappointed that there's no way to get in for an urgent matter. I called today for an appointment for a UTI and they said they have nothing open until April 20th, so that's cool. I'll sit here and wait with my UTI for 2.5 weeks and hope it doesn't get worse. Thanks for nothing to help your patients.
Susie Canfield: I like this place my sis went here they are really good
Butuga Eve: Dr Shoemaker was one of my best Dr ever I couldn't ask for any other Dr other than him he was the best. He made sure everything had to be well with me. There was one Dr who I don't remember her name she refused to write me letter to take to my job due to my condition I had in terms to have some time off but when I asked Dr Shoemaker he was able to write me a letter I was proud to have him as my Dr. But he retired now I sad to hear that. Unfortunately they didn't want me anymore at that ObGYN after they have destroyed my body with two Cs.
Desiree Makin: Went to them in my last pregnancy 4 years ago and now currently pregnant with my 3rd and going to them againThey are very nice and respectful Dr Matthew has me going back for an ultrasound to get baby’s weight since he seen I have big baby’s. Lol and I don’t want to have another big baby I love being about to meet every doctor since you do not know who will be delivering your baby
Lauren Hall: Dr. Griffin and the staff at this office were so kind and knowledgeable. They were able to get me into the office and set up an ultrasound on site to double check everything for me. I had a great experience and I'm grateful they were able to assist me on such short notice. Thank you!
Tracy Eldred: They were nice to me
Ali Subhi: Doctors and nurses are great, but one of the receptionist is so rude. If you don't like work why you're doing it?
Mikaela Bliven: Receptionist is extremely rude. The manager, Robin W. should be ashamed of herself for how she conducts her office and how she speaks to patients. The doctors are great but were not great enough to keep me there. I was treated with disrespect and it was very clear that I did not matter.
Arynn Tiffany: I have went to this doctors office for my previous 2 pregnancies and now my current one (38 weeks) and I have never been happier. I’m normally in and out within 20 minutes. The nurses and doctors are so personable and have amazing bedside manners. If you have any issues, they take care of them immediately. Sometimes it seems like I’m the only patient that goes here! Lol.Dr. Levitt is my favorite! So sweet.I’m not the biggest fan of the receptionists, they can be rude sometimes and treat you like you’re an inconvenience. However, I would rather deal with rude reception than doctors/nurses! I will continue going here! Thank you!
Kate Blais: Receptionist is extremely rude. Took everything in me to not snap back. If you can handle dealing with someone whom clearly hates their job, every time you call or check in, I guess it could be a decent office.
Serena Giles: I had to deliver my baby at 34w6d due to sudden preeclampsia and ended up needing an emergency cesarean which I was NOT prepared for. Dr. Hawkins made what was a scary experience so much better. She explained everything to me every step of the way and tried effortlessly to get a vaginal delivery for my baby boy. When his heart rate declined she wasted no time getting me in for a cesarean and getting him out before anything happened to him or I. She was truly a blessing. She tried to honor my wishes but when we couldn’t she made that ok to. I was very scared and anxious but she was very gentle and reassuring through the entire process. I recommend this office to anyone expecting a child or just looking for a good gynecologist. Every doctor I’ve encountered has shown genuine concern and care for me from beginning to end. The nurses are always kind and the physicians are amazing.
A_Grey_Boy Vex: Dosn't give you enough to last the year and then won't refill for 2 months before your appointmentForced consent, refuses to talk about reproductive right and informed consent for surgery
Nikki J: They have a policy of having to see different doctor every time you come in. Which is not comfortable at all, not all the drs give off the same comfort level or educate you about what’s going on with your body . Some are super short and you’re just a number. When I delivered I was pressured to have a c section since the dr was impatient ( I was only in labor for 3 hours). She stated the baby wasn’t coming down and I told her I don’t even feel like I needed to push (I was having my 3rd child the other 2 were successful natural vaginal births). I then needed a blood transfusion. Nothing about my experience here is something I’d recommend to another woman. The only reason I came here was because I had to switch providers in the middle of my pregnancy since the original place I was at switched over to general practice. I will say the nursing staff after my delivery was wonderful.
Coraima Sigurani: Doctors aren't that concerned with thier patients. I went in for my 12w check up. The doc just came in And asked if i had any questions and walked out. I waited almost 40 min to be seen and only spent litterly not even 2 minutes with a doctor.and all they did was prescribed me a meds that made me even more ill in my pregnancy. And the fact that with every visit i have to see a different doctor. I DO NOT like that at all. I rather have one set doctor PERIOD!! The only reason i gave two stars is because they are nice. But they need to spend more time to get to know thier patients and have more of a concern for them, especially if they are pregnant. I feel they favor ppl. sad!
holly bishop: I've delivered all of my children with them and it was a great experience. I've never had a long wait time, but for those who worry about that I think we need to remember that some people who came in for a simple checkup, don't always have just that. I'm grateful that they take the time with each person and as needed.
Emily Jarvis: Dr. Pugmire is the best!
Renee LaPointe: Been going here for 16 years. Live the dr and staff
Lisa Coyle: Staff members are always nice and friendly; however, they are always running behind. Most visits I end up waiting an hour to be called back.

Sparrow Medical Group OB/GYN Lake Lansing Road: what do users think?
Myah Satterelli: Nothing but positive experiences, reassurance, support, and effective communication from all clinicians and staff! Absolutely what I needed while navigating pregnancy and first time motherhood.
Amy Rabideau: I have had 2 babies with the doctors at this office and everyone I have met has provided great care. Dr. Duplessis is the GOAT but the other doctors and NPs are great too. I felt 100% comfortable knowing whoever delivered my baby would take great care of us. The office staff wasn’t as good when I had my first baby 3 years ago but have gotten a lot better since my littlest one was born in December.
Hope Neilson: I’ve been here through both pregnancies, and always loved the experience and doctors. The front desk ladies are so nice!
Kristianna Martin: I’ve been going here since I was pregnant with my first child at age 18. I now have a total of 3 at the age of 28. I love Dr. Du Plessis! Ive never really cared for any doctor, dentist, etc. but her, I love! lol I can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve seen another doctor in the last 10 years. Literally, I only request my doctor for my appointments, and I think that is the key to my happiness. When you just see a bunch of different doctors (which I’m used to everywhere else) it doesn’t allow you to gain that doctor patient trust. Dr. Takyi is a guy and I’ve never had any problems when I’ve seen him! He even delivered one of my babies! Oh and the receptionists have always been friendly throughout the years, so that’s a plus! Even after switching from McLaren to Sparrow they have still maintained a good atmosphere for me. So I definitely give them a 5 star!
Makyla May-Cook: Every time I try to make an appointment they always say they’re sooooo booked and i can’t get in for 2+ months. This is ridiculous. I’ve had excruciating pain and cramps since I had my daughter and they seem to not care at all. Early August I told them that the pain gets to the point where I can barely move and they told me I have to wait until November to be seen. Like, are you serious??? This isn’t the first time i’ve had to wait multiple months to get seen for a serious problem either. I shouldn’t have to go to urgent care when I have an OB I’ve been going to since I was 16. Very disappointed and unhappy with this place.
Casey W: Had great prenatal care my whole pregnancy. All doctors and nurse practitioners were amazing! They were able to squeeze me in if there were any concerns. I delivered at Sparrow in March 2022. My birth plan was followed and I had a wonderful delivery experience.
Briana Brewer: I really enjoy this office especially the Drs, ultrasound techs and assistants but those receptionist are some the rudest people ever and I’m not sure if it’s just one or more than one but twice now I’ve called up there once to make an appt and once to cancel an appt an for legitimate reason, and I always say thank you have good day, and I get a “yup” and then hung up on or a “mhh hmm” and then hung up on. So unprofessional and rude. Like seriously what is her problem.
Ms Sunshyne: Everytime I need an appointment it's always "oh we're really booked right now an we have something 3 to 6 months from now" !!?? What is the point if u need immediate care as well as they always have multiple different medical staff coming in going over paperwork what ever happened to hippa law's? I also don't understand why Everytime I call make an appointment I'm asked "what do I need to be seen for an why"!?? Looking for a new medical provider wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Baby Girl: Takyi dismissed my miscarriage and told me I was too fat and old for a baby anyways (22yrs old) and they chose a lunch and left me with a cancelled appointment when I was already outside
Lindzey Buffington: I have been at my ob for 8 months now I have only saw my actual O/B once in those 8 months. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and have had multiple appointments canceled due to the physicians calling off work. I was supposed to have a ultrasound 4 weeks ago to see if my placenta has moved or if I will have to have baby via C-section or if I can have him naturally, the service is not good at all they barley keep in contact and it takes them for ever to get back in touch with you
Kenzee V (mackdoodle12): I wouldn’t send my dog to this place 😅 your literally a number when your a patient here. None of the providers of medical staff know which way is up. On top of that they stretch the providers so thin that you don’t ever know who your seeing, you can’t build any sort of relationship with them. Oh and they called me baby a boy when it’s a girl multiple times, that’s how brain dead this place is. They sent in two medical assistance handed me a packet told me to read through everything about my c section and make sure I follow directions. Didn’t go over anything. Place is just laughable at this point.
Mackenzie Anderson: I have loved going here. The OB’s and staff are all amazing. They delivered my first baby and are delivering my 2nd in a few months. They are kind, helpful, and genuinely care about their patients.
Brooklyn McCormick: I love this OBGYN office! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I started at the practice when I got pregnant with my son, Dr. McGraw always advocated for me and really listened to my concerns and answered my questions thoroughly. I saw almost everyone in the office by the time I delivered my son, no complaints at all, they have a great group of providers. I ended up with C section and the doctor on call happened to be one that I hadn’t met before, Dr. Barry. Even though I had never met her before, she still made me feel at ease with something I felt was so scary.Even after having my son the care I receive is wonderful, Dr. McGraw is so easy to talk to and very supportive.
Justyn Tribelhorn: How you gonna schedule a 845 appt and not see the patient for 45 mins? Now running late to work because this place is taking so long to see my wife
Addison Howard: I will never recommend this place to anyone. I missed an appointment so I understand that I had to find a new DR, I ended up finding one in my home town which is 30 minutes from this place. We've requested my medical records to be sent over for the last 10 weeks, and they never sent them over. I'm supposed to be on a special steroid starting 10 weeks ago as well and they sent my prescription to Illinois, and didn't call me about it until it sat there for two months. Their customer service is terrible, the only thing the lady had to say was "we really messed this one up, didn't we?" It took my mother calling and throwing a huge fit to get any sort of response out of these people.
Danielle Williams: I love this practice! I had a complicated pregnancy and recovery. They work together as a great team and got me and my baby the best care possible! From the ladies in the office to the ultra sound specialists, medical techs, nurses, NP, and doctor's these guys are on top of it. I can't say enough for their professionalism, expertises, willingness to hear your concerns, and to walk you through the care you need!!! I love them and they hold a special place in my heart and memory as they helped us through one of the scariest and best times of our lives. 😍
lucy stella: i don't recommand this medical group. i am new to michigan. so this place was recommanded through friend. i took an appt for my pregnancy. They had given the appt with nurse.she didn't check my baby growth in system.she did urine test, heart tone and blood works. At 12th week they missed some of the blood orks.and that too they didn't inform me regarding the missing blood reports. i took an appt with Dr. at 18th week of prenatal visit.still they didn't check in system. many times i asked them to check my baby growth internally in system like ultrasound.but they didn't do anything. At prenatal visit 18th week they informed me about missing blood works. so then i again gave my blood works after 1 week they called me and recommaned for another genetic test due to missing blood works. i dont know how much careless these guys are. and even nurses are also not much caring they didnt say anything about baby. careless fellows.
Chelsea Pennington: Have been going here for 10 years and love them. They were amazing with my first child and with all my annual appointments. All the low stars are based on people showing up late to their appointment. There late policy is clearly stated and helps keep appointments on track.
maraliannet: For my first time in a obgyn and pregnancy, I got the best care possible. My doctor was Dr. Buras. She was amazing and I am truly sad she no longer works here. But the other doctors are great too.
Bobbi Petoskey: Amazing OB’s I don’t have any bad to say about this place at all!! Delivered both my boys and their staff is incredible!!
amber petersen: I miss my appointment because of traffic and call to reschedule well, they have a zero tolerance policy for missed appointments, I will have to find another oby, I guess it's their loss. It's pretty sad because they delivered both of my daughters and the doctors that are very nice. Oh, well, I guess there staff sucks.

Okemos Women’s Health: what do users think?
Rose marie: Id give it 0 stars if i could NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER GO HERE, been nothing but hell dealing with these people for 4 years and I’ve finally had enough, the desk woman at the Dewitt office is trash, terrible person, gives you nothing but attitude no matter what the situation is.I have been disrespected multiple times by the doctors/ nurses because I mentioned being worried that the depo messed with my fertility and knowing how old I am they’ve always responded with “well are you getting married” and when I’ve said no to being married they looked disgusted, they’ve told me “don’t you think your a little young” not even caring that 1 I don’t have a boyfriend and two I’m not planning I just need to make sure I can have kids on my own for peace of mind.also getting ahold of these people is a trip, I’ve listened to that hold music for almost an hour multiple times
Cathy Rodriguez: This office billed medicare for new patient well care. For$673.00 for a pelvic and woman's exam to rule out any causes of IBS, knowing medicare would deny it. This was a 20 minute visit. Stay away from any doctor that avoided insurance by creative billing. I pay $311 in insurance and bcbs plan G this should have been 100% covered and would bring if they did not bill at as some package. I AM RETIRED AND CAN NOT AFFORD THIS INSANITY.
Guinevere Dorado: This practice confused me. They had me as a high risk pregnancy. I saw a doctor twice a week. Yet never did anyone help me with my vomiting or diarrhea that tormented me throughout my pregnancy, leading to weight loss. They did not prescribe any medications to help or offer IV fluids for rehydration. When it came time for my cesarean, I had hoped my OB would take control of the room, but she didn’t, and I had 4 different people shouting directions at me, which caused me to hyperventilate and need emergency medication. Dr Foucher did a lot of damage to my body during the cesarean due to preexisting scar tissue that she should have had a plan for, and more than six months later, I still cannot pick up my own son without excruciating pain. This has caused more mental anguish than I can describe—imagine not being able to pick up your crying child for six months (and counting!) so I tried to get help with my mental postpartum symptoms, but was refused an appointment. Instead of being knowledgeable about nerve entrapment, I was told by Dr Kota that my pain had nothing to do with obstetrics and they could not help me. I was referred to a general surgeon. It took visiting 10 different specialists before I learned about nerve entrapment pain from cesarean. I wish I’d had knowledgeable and caring obstetricians from this practice instead, who could have guided me through the most challenging time of my life, which continues to this day.
lilyanthonette: Two pregnancies later- this place is still awesome, if not better! The clinic staff are all friendly and kind. I can’t thank them enough for being so nice to my son who was with me on my check-ups pretty much all the time. 😂
Sharla Becker: Doctor Kota is amazing. She shows genuine compassion for her patients. I've never met a doctor like her here in the U.S.
Mandi Bush: I love this obgyn best yet I had my last baby here and ill be going here with my baby now. Always there to help and answer any questions I had.
Kaelyn Walsh: I am an OB patient that just went to get bloodwork done by Joel. I have always been anxious about getting my blood drawn and as soon as I got in there with Joel he was huffing and puffing over the fact he had to do one more test. Then I told him that “I tend to pass out” he said “I don’t have time for you to pass out today”. If it wasn’t for my husband, I would’ve walked out of there and found a new doctor. To hire a man with ZERO sympathy or empathy to do blood work at an women’s health center is careless.
D S: Dr Kota is the best OBGYN I have ever seen. My praise stops there though. Unfortunately this practice has yet to go paperless, something almost all establishments, medical or otherwise have already done. You have to fill out 5+ pages of paperwork every annual visit. Almost all of the information provided is information most practices keep on file in the computer. I hope this practice steps into the 21st century soon.
Swathi Chitrapu: Worst OBGYN I have ever seen. They never return my phone calls . I keep leaving messages - only when I yell on the phone and say am dying in pain, they would give me an appointment. Whenever I call and ask to talk to a nurse , they say they are with a patient.1 star I have given for the nurses and medical assistants there . They are amazing ! I mean every doctors office - the nurses do the talking and everything, the doctors make you wait and see you for only a few seconds .1 star for Dr. Perry is great , kind and actually spoke with me for a few minutes .Definitely do not recommend this place .
Kasey Elliott: Best obgyn around. Always work around my schedule to get me an appointment.
Nikelle Redwood: Dr Kota is amazing. Thank you !
Ashley Adkins: This is my third pregnancy and my first time going to this practice. I highly recommend. The staff is phenomenal.
Sarah Lawrence: there's only like 1 dr that actually listens and seems to be of any help. They others seem to do absolute bare minimum. 38 weeks and they wont check my cervix like they said they would last week to set up an induction. This is my third child, not my first. They seem to always say they're going to do things that they don't do. Never felt so insecure about a delivery team but there's not a lot of options in the area so I feel absolutely stuck.
momma bear: I'm currently a patient and I can tell you one thing dr Russell is so rude and acts like your stupid one minute she tells you something and the next minute they won't allow my husband in to hear the baby's heartbeat
G: Front Office receptionist is unprofessional & rude. By far the worst experience I have had at an OBGYN office. Doctor did not answer my questions or address my concerns. Would not recommend.
Kate Freeman: Everyone here is incredibly welcoming. They have wonderful bedside manor and make you feel safe and comfortable. I've been going here for about 15 years and I'm on my 3rd baby and I have always highly recommended them to anyone who is looking for an OBGYN!
Jennifer Wagoner: I had the Da Vinci robotic hysterectomy on December 4th. My OGBYN Dr. Laura Kota also performed my surgery. She and her team at Mclaren Greater Lansing Okemos Women's Health were incredible from Amy who scheduled my surgery (she's so funny!) to Dr. Kota answering every question and ensuring I fully understood my medical options, risks and procedures that were going to be performed. ALL the nurses on the 2nd floor at McLaren Greater Lansing were caring, helpful and upbeat. You guys rock! The 4th year resident Dr. Houser was my point person before and after the surgery and was attentive, knowledgeable and caring. My 6 week recovery has gone as predicted and I'm feeling great. My experience was A+ from everyone who interacted with me from Dr. Kota's office to McLaren Hospital. Thank you everyone for making this big decision and surgery a positive one, I know I made the right decision. Dr. Kota is by far the best OBGYN I've ever been to, smart, thorough, never rushed our appt. and truly cares about her patients. I'm grateful. :)
Kimber M: "Dr" Laura Kota is the most unprofessional, dismissive person I've ever met. Refused to believe I had PCOS because I had regular, extremely heavy periods (despite having all the other signs). She shamed me in the room about how I wasn't "fat" enough either. Went to another OBGYN that had me do an ultrasound and sure enough, polycystic on both ovaries. I can finally get the help I need and stop living in so much pain. DO NOT SEE HER. She does zero critical thinking and rattles off a sheet instead of listening. She will shame you out of finding a solution to your issues. She also loves to tell you not to get attached to your pregnancy because it probably won't survive and it isn't a person anyways. Very classy woman.
David VerSluis: Dr. Wray is awesome.
Cory A: The male physician assistant at the Okemos location is who my wife and I had trouble with. (The rest of the staff is absolutely amazing!)I believe his name is Dr. Wray, in the labor and delivery floor of the hospital. This occurred at the Okemos office. Upon diagnosing my wife with pubic symphysis, he looks at me while she's describing her pain and says "look what you have done to her." And laugh's and leaves. At first I thought did he actually say that, then let it pass, but it kept bothering me. I sought out advice from a family member whom is a OBGYN. Her response was "this is sexual harassment." We see or hear these comments too often. After realizing how big of a deal this actually is, I am writing to inform other women to try and avoid resident Dr. Wray, after reflecting on what he said it's clear he should not be working with women. He's judgemental, verbally abusive, for some reason he feels he has a right to dismiss and laugh at women's pain. When in fact he is supposed to be trusted with their total well being. There should be zero tolerance in this type of field for people like this, because if the hospital doesn't stop him know, will he stop himself from judging women, mocking their pain, laughing at their pregnancy. And continuing to feel as though he has any right to speak in such a way to people in or out of a doctor's office.I hope this helps protect other people from this person, and I hope McLaren takes a serious look into the matter.
Maria P: I really like this place, staff is very friendly and seem as though they really care about your needs.
