Matthew even went the extra mile and brought me an extra filter since he saw I could not use the the back up filter to my old furance any longer. Now fast forward to last week I called them to see how to clean the condensation tube and Matthew came out and did it himself! Once again Matthew went above and beyond just by coming out but when he was he changed the tube and my humidifier filter. Michael Villa: Update: Two years later and more awesome service!I previously had my ignitor replaced by Arkan, and when my 20 year old AC went out 4th of July weekend, I knew who to call. He was out quick, assessed the issue, was honest about the best plan of action, and quoted a great price.His sons came out to do the work the day after the holiday and were great. Professional, solid communication, and all around great guys. Can't recommend them enough!--------------------------------Amazing and quick!I had come home Wednesday night to find my furnace wasn't putting out any heat, and the condo was sitting at a nice 58 degrees. I asked for some references and a few friends made one or another, and Thursday morning when I called around, I couldn't get a hold of anyone or a return call.Checking between Yelp and general internet sleuthing, the reviews for Arkan's were all very positive. I called a little before 10AM, was told they'd be here in a couple hours, and by 11AM, I had a knock at the door. Super fast, very helpful, and cheaper than what friends and family have paid for the same issue through other companies all within an hour of calling.I can't recommend them enough! Very honest about the condition and life expectancy of my furnace as well, no hard-selling or pushy tactics. Arkan's will be my go-to for any heating or cooling issues!

K Brown Andrews: I was recommended by a coworker to contact Wiegand Heating & Cooling for replace and install a new AC unit, in my 1100 sq ft ranch in Oak Park. My coworker highly recommended them and stated that they have done work at his home and other members of his family home for several years.According to their website "Since 1982, Wiegand Heating & Cooling has had a solid commitment to servicing the Metro Detroit-area. Our mission is to provide our community with an established and dependable HVAC company—known for its honesty, exceptional service, integrity and complete understanding of each and every one of our customer’s needs." NOT!In addition, he stated that Wiegand had recently installed a New whole house AC unit in another one of our co-workers home in the Boston Edison area in Detroit, as these houses still have radiators for heating. Theresa called me back a stated that they do not work in my area, Oak Park, it was too far away from their office. I guess I am not on the right side of the tracks. Or better yet, one AC unit in OP is not worth their time and energy.She stated that they would not be able to service the AC unit if there was problem and would have to charge me a service call. As I expressed to Theresa, I would hope not to need service on a brand-new AC unit, at least for the next 10 years. At most, an annual service call for general maintenance for cleaning.I wanted to (and like to) patronize local family-owned business, that family and friends have had successful outcomes, and business have good customer service and a good repetition. Unfortunately, this was not a case for me and Wiegand. As a small business owner, you can pick and choose whom you service. However, if I were the a business owner, I would have taken on the new customer business, since this was a referral from a longer time valued current customer.

Dustin Valentine: Just had Wiegand heating & cooling install a new furnace. They made the process extremely easy from the consultation to scheduling/billing and the friendly and knowledgeable installers. They went above and beyond for me by installing a 1/2 hp blower motor for free until I was able to get my new furnace installed so we wouldn't be a day without A/C. I quoted 3 other HVAC companies in the area and choose Wiegand because they where honest and fair with their prices. They didn't try the high pressure sales tactic to replace the old system unless its was necessary.

Andrei Sandulescu: Kim Weigand came out and he spent hours repairing my furnace. Needed new gas valve, NG piping, exhaust work (which I already knew). He went to the parts store and back after discovering the blower was shot. He did all this because the furnace “still had life in it.” He could’ve easily made more money by selling me a new furnace, but he didn’t.Furnace now runs smoothly, quietly, and reliably. Lights up every time, first try (problems igniting before). I’m also not worried about a NG gas leak due to the shoddy work from before.Bottom line: honest & knowledgeable HVAC people are hard to come by, but look no further than Weigand Heating & Cooling.

I had gotten quotes from several other companies to replace my furnace and AC and then contacted ThermalPros based on a recommendation from a friend. The other companies tried pitching the most expensive units, which cost twice as much and provided little benefit over other high-quality units. John from ThermalPros came the next day after I reached out, he inspected my furnace and AC with me, and provided quotes for high-quality Lennox products that were less expensive than quotes I received from other companies for similar products.The installation went seamlessly. The team arrived at the time they had provided and also called in advance of their arrival. They were friendly and upon finishing the job, they walked through how to operate the units and the steps I should periodically take to ensure they continue to run well.I highly recommend ThermalPros and would plan on using them for any future furnace/AC projects.Update Dec. 13, 2022: Apparently I can't write a new review so I have to modify my previous one. Linda Grunewald: My mother contacted her church asking who they used for their heating and cooling needs. They told her they were very happy with Eric Simpson of Simpson's Heating & Cooling who had been servicing them at a reasonable price for a long time. She wanted to purchase a new central air conditioner for me since mine was 30+ years old and took almost 4 pounds of freeon last year to keep it going. His bid was substantially lower than those I had gotten from the big companies and he got the job. It is working beautifully in this oppressive heat and runs much less than the old one did. I had qualified for a program for a new furnace or a fix if it was determined I needed one. The heating and cooling company they sent out told me that I did not need one and that my 19 year old furnace was fine. While Eric was taking the furnace apart and installing the new central air conditioner he found many cracks in my heat exchanger which meant that it was not in working condition. He took a video with his phone of all the damage. I sent it to the program director who apologized profusely for their people missing that, and I had a new heat exhanger installed in my furnace the next week. I understand one of those cost several thousand dollars. So Eric's knowledge saved me having to pay for a new furnace even though he didn't get the job to replace it. What better recommendation could I give? He's an expert, honest, prompt and will be the only furnace company my mom and I will ever use in the future. I've already given his number to another friend. A+++
