Amber Sajewski: The best place to go locally for all your plants and SUPER knowledgeable staff. I've bought flowers, veggies, herbs, and bushes from Ekerts, and they never disappoint. Last year, I waited too long to buy veggies, and they no longer had some of the things I wanted, so I bought what I could from Ekerts and bought the rest from a big box store. Well, my Ekerts ones completely blew my big box ones out of the water. More harvest, healthier plants, etc. You never know until you try, but I'll never go back to big box. #EkertsForLife
Carey C: Not a super bargain like some others have said, but the prices are reasonable.Selection though is off the hook. Anything and everything you're looking for, and some stuff you're not. I got sucked into that vortex of seeing a plant that grew in my yard as a child and ended up buying it for nostalgia's sake.Do buy their "Eckert's, Potting Mix"! No more Miracle grow for me, now that I found this mix. My flowers and vegetables are doing great in this mix. I even used it for my repotting my house plants, and they're diggin' the mix too.If you plan on frequenting there, get their punch card, but note, it is only good for the season you start it in. I had a full card I wanted to use from last year, and they wouldn't let me.

Kathy F: Eckert's has been my go to gardening spot for over 12 years . Great staff knowledgeable and stupendous plants to pick from ❤ I wrote that from before. All true except one change the gentleman who was writing up my bill. The girls at the register said he has the final say. I spend over $300.00 at least each season. I found only one of the hanging begonias in the color I needed. It was damaged only one tubular was still alive. I asked if it could be marked down. He replied nope and continued tallying. I was also over charged. I figured that when I got home. I was so upset by his demeanor I really just wanted to get out. There were two older women in front of me that also were treated like an inconvenience. He wouldn't listen to what they were trying to say. I'm giving it one more try tomorrow.

Brenda Lowe: This was the most horrible Walmart. I came from out of town and have never seen a Walmart so horrible. The aisles were so cluttered and unorganized and filthy. The bathroom was gross and out of toilet paper.

X: Unresponsive on basic emails regarding stock, managers don't know simple concepts like deadheading, they say they gonna call you back on phone and never do.Go to Ray Wiegand instead, they actually care about you. Only a few more minutes away from the CTP location.Even when applying for a company position, the HR manager (Nicole Phillips) is so unorganized (I had to call her a half-hour later after our scheduled call). Poorly run company overall, but hey they can scam you on prices because they are "family-run". Maybe hire outside the family and connections and the place will be run professionally instead

Susan M: We drove 20 miles to shop here instead of shopping at the Troy, MI location because Karl Schmidt of Troy School District is stalking me on Yelp.We were looking for realistic Christmas garland that lit up with white LED lights. I had bought two 12 ft strands many years ago at the Troy location and wanted more to wrap around the porch. I get so many compliments on how classy my home looks in the winter because the garland looks so real.They had a lot of garland; however, we did not find any that met all requirements - wrong color, not realistic, didn’t match current set, no lights, etc. We ended up buying one realistic garland strand without LED lights. It was the only one they had!I bought a string of white LED lights for the garland at Meijer for $3 during their Christmas clearance sale. It looked fantastic and matched my current set. Now, I just need to find one more garland.

They delivered the poinsettia in a timely manner and it was beautiful! They even added a large red bow and a personalized card. I would highly recommend the English Garden to all my friends/family.

Kat Tear: I love EG but their policy to ask for phone number w every purchase is annoying and unnecessary. Normally they back off when I say NO, today they kept pressing not taking NO for an answer. Fast forward to paying and the cashier kept asking me my name. WHY? "I'm just curious" w a nasty grin on her face. Do you need my SSN to buy this potted plant? Unless I am purchasing a service that requires delivery, nothing you will sell me requires my personal information.The one and only time I have returned anything to EG in the 20 years I've shopped there, you got a fake phone number because it either doesn't matter, in which case you don't need it or you're going to sell my info in which case no one should be buying from you.

Jeremy Patterson: The 1 star reviews on this place are a joke. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable but doesn’t try to “sell” you anything which is great. And they carry a LOT of organics others don’t ans at very reasonable prices. I wish they’d carry the Nectar for the Gods #4 and #8 coco, but other than that they’re a great place to get most of your gardening needs. I’ll continue to go out of my way to support you Northern Lights Hydro.
