L Edwards: Parents need to keep their lawn chairs OFF the track. The legs RUIN the material. This can lead to holes or uneven parts on the track. Which in turn makes it hazardous for the teams to run on. Emails have been sent on a regular basis but if the Sunday Flag Football admin that are at the game dont follow through then their words are meaningless.... KEEP THE LAWN CHAIRS OFF THE TRACK PEOPLE!!! THERE ARE BLEACHERS TO SIT IN!!!!
Blackheart Lives: We have been to MANY high school football fields. Runkell field, like all UCS fields is lacking a lot of amenities and niceties. It's just an average high school football field.

B GB: It’s a good facility. Lots of parking and fairly easy access. Concessions closed because of Covid so I don’t know how those are. Lots of seating on the home side, probably a bit small on the visiting side. Turf is great and a nice scoreboard. Easy bathroom access and staircases under the bleachers

Fields are in good shape.Bathrooms are convenient.Playground: Kids love the adventure at this playground.Restrooms: Restrooms are In the parking lot and are cleanDog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leashPicnic area: There are picnic tables but not what I would consider a picnic area. They are located next to the diamonds which is nice.

Blessan Joseph: Beautiful location and plenty of space for games and activities. A hidden trail for walking or running enthusiasts as well.
Theresa: There is a nice playground, one large pavilion with bathrooms--seemingly always in use on weekends, adequate parking, open lawn area for running around or maybe sports. We go for the paved walking path mostly through woods along side of, and sometimes crossing, a small creek. Woods seem unimproved. If the city ever planted desirable trees in the woods, they seem overrun with invasive species. Lots of invasive buckthorn. Creek is clogged with branches and tree trunks in some spots. There is one area in the sun facing the parking lot where a few desirable native perennials and annuals were planted recently. Time will tell if they survive or get swallowed by grass. Not sure why, the city insists on planting invasive, non-native lawn grasses along a path in a natural space. It would be nice if Sterling Hts would join the 21st century and make some effort to understand and restore nature.

From Snow Scootering in Winter to Gravity Trike in the Spring, Summer, Fall, (my invention that replicates the Snow Scooter ride dynamics but uses wheels) to Skimboarding puddles that form after Rain or Snowmelt!!!! Skimmed Puddles today after a good rain the night before!!!!
D mc: Not a classic park that we are used to. Seems to appeal to soccer and team sport families. Wanted to ride my bike but no trails.

Blackheart Lives: A really nice park with a variety of things to do. My kids run here and also play on the playground. They have a smallish sledding hill that is pretty nice in the winter. The front is dedicated to baseball and the fields are awesome. We run our rc cars in the back either in the far northwest parking lot or on the grass by the hills. My only complaint, and it's in pretty big, is the inconsistency of open bathrooms. They have a nice back bathroom and sitting area, but the bathrooms anyway too often closed. Like today, when they clearly plowed the snow all the way back to the sledding hill, but did not open the bathroom. While watching my kids sled, I saw easily 10 people try to get in and were very disappointed. That happens all year long, not just in the winter. That's why the 4 star rating instead of 5.
