Me lolabean: I never ever talk bad about anything but This is the worst school in history… I would not recommend any child going here the staff is really rude and Uncaring,There teachers are awful at teaching very poor for kids in general especially those with special needs .Your child will fail if they feel there not up to speed with the rest they will leave your child unattended they offer no special education system ,they lie about what the school offers just to cram up kids to get for money to make the system seem like there really good .The principle is rude putting down people race assuming what there not capable of speaking bilingual languages as well as children abilities the other teachers have no time for teaching barely there they even lied about there position in what they teach ,they even allowed a staff member her last name is Moore made rude comments about my son talking about is capability she even said why did you come here? very ignorant staff at desk also making rude comments his teacher Mr. Meyer left him to unattended no help at all very cold he has no kind of connection to children yet he’s a teacher he even made awful comments and would leave your child to fend for themselves so just letting you know there are many better schools out there do not go to this one just giving a heads up….seriously poor teaching over all poor staff just poor school period.and lastly they even lied about my son evaluation and try to dumb him down putting fake scores in the system ,which they even told the other school that they didn’t evaluate him….and how do you have a special needs program yet with no special needs teacher nor special needs students? By far the worst school…in Sterling Heights.

Hiba Murad: My son loved his teacher at Huron academy.We loved the activities, teachers and whole environment. My son is very sad for leaving his teacher she is such a loving person. He is still going for elementary at HuronI’m glad we are part of Huron Acadmy❤️❤️❤️

Maria White: I'm a parent and have been meaning to write this review for a while. I enrolled my daughter here two years ago after struggling with the public school system regarding my daughters medical needs. I spoke with Huron Academy's VP during a Kindergarten Open house and she told me all the right things with absolutely no push back. They continued her IEP, educated themselves in what we needed from them medically and to this day continually go above and beyond to make sure all her needs are met. I had high expectations about her being able to learn with her peers while her important needs are being paid attention to and HA did not disappoint. I can drop her off knowing she's in the safest place and that they will call me with any concerns and promptly address them. She's had many health related setbacks and you wouldn't be able to tell because HA keeps her academically right on track without fail. I also have to thank Mrs. Tanalski for being there for us the first year in TK, I've had some amazing educators having three kids in the public school system but she truly loves what she does and is darn good at it! Thank you Huron Academy for being there for her!

Meme Nugget: This is a very good school. I have been here for 6 years, and have been glad to have the satisfaction of attending this school. I am a student in middle school, and all the teachers are fair, nice, and fun.

Ross Meyer: I am a first year kindergarten teacher here and I would recommend it to parents. The teachers really care about their students and they set high expectations in academics. The staff is very friendly and provides a good atmosphere for learning.

Tammy Hampel: I have been with Huron Academy since the year 2000. I have a unique perspective in that I have been both a parent and an employee. I spent the first ten years at Huron as an active PTC member while both of my children successfully worked their way through grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. From a parental perspective what I liked most about Huron Academy was the "Family" atmosphere. A culturally diverse atmosphere that embraces all that walk through their doors. Other attributes that were very close behind were the small class sizes, engaging curriculum and school uniforms. Huron was the PERFECT preparatory school for my children. Both have gone on to do GREAT things! My daughter just graduated with her Masters degree from a private University and my son is currently attending the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. I truly believe that their strong foundation at Huron Academy played a HUGE roll in their success. From the perspective of an employee I have worked on our Teacher Support Team doing Reading interventions for the past 8 years. Our RTI program plays a critical role in bringing students the extra reading support that they need. We utilize the Daily 5 reading Model as well as two teacher Guided Reading Centers.In addition, we have engaging technology centers as well as specialized Fluency and Comprehension Interventions. Amburr: I am so glad my kids go here! The teachers and principal are so involved and really do all they can to help the kids who need extra help get it! You can tell that these are teachers who love what they do. Even the secretaries are amazing and are just as much a part of the kids loves as the teacher. It is like a little community where everyone is there for each other and I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my kids to go 😊

Melissa Wolf: I let my daughter play at this playground with her friends until I found out that sex offenders hang out there. Now she can only go there with me and my pepper spray. I recommend going on the internet and finding where sex offenders are in your neighborhood and keeping a closer eye on your children because they seem to be everywhere. I also recommend teaching your children not only what to do if a stranger approaches them but also how to defend themselves if need be. I tell my children to scream and run and if they get grabbed to kick like crazy, bite, hit, and do everything they can to get away.
