Jon H: Very very very good school regarding the academy, I don't know much about heritage junior high but the UAIS high school is a great school. My daughter wanted to be challenged and this school is challenging her. It is similiar to a mini like community college and only the strongest survive. The principal Shaun Green-Beebe is excellent and so is the vice principal. The teachers are also very caring especially the physics teacher, french teacher, I could go on. Me and my wife are grateful for this academy and we are proud of our decision.
Melanie Wisdom: We are so blessed that UCS has this option for kids. My child has blossomed in this school and the positive encouragement and environment they provide. My child was terrified of going to their regular HS.
Bryan Clifford: Came in for my nephew's choir concert. How do kids go here?!?! The building is beaten down, like the trenches of Eastpointe. There may as well be asbestos in these walls!!

Kelly Diller: This school promotes a very elitist attitude. I also found the staff to be arrogant and they bully the students into conformity. My daughter left a suicidal thoughts note to her counselor and this note was IGNORED...overpaid and under qualified staff...truly my biggest regret with my daughter, destroyed her mental health

Safi Butrus: CPC has once in a lifetime opportunity to start what you would like to do in life a few years early and at least have a basic knowledge about what you’re going into that might save you time in college with deciding what you want to do, AND if you’re in the EMT or Health Science program, you can get many different certifications and licenses that progress you and make you a step further than almost everybody else in your college class.
Exuna: As of right now I am in my second year of the health science program. CPC has allowed me to actually get out into the medical field and get first hand experience as well as prepare me for the college courses I’m going to take. With all of its benefits it is definitely worth the time, even for all of the other courses.

Roxanne: The health science teachers treat you like a little child. They punish you for stupid reasons. They got rid of the separate class for Med. Anat and Physio. The other programs are nice, but Health Science is just not where it’s at if you want to be treated like an upcoming adult.
Ben H: I took there culinary program and got lots of practical experience and learned plenty of good data about how to cook. I will admit I'm not quite gonna be walking out and going into a fine dining head chef job walking out but a very good starting place and the teachers are very competent in the kitchen. The only reason I don't give it 5 is due to there wasn't quite as much time spent on practicing specific arts and techniques in culinary. We covered a day or two on plating, a day or two on steak, day it two on sea food, but didn't get to really dive in on any subject. Instead many days students were making recipes and things for events the school put on or for the kiosk to sell to students since it's what helped keep the culinary program running and we could keep getting food to cook with so I don't blame them. I just wish we got to do a little more class practicing on things (like more practice cooking sea food, making higher end foods, etc) over all a great place for a high school program and excellent start for anyone who wants to learn how to cook and to get the basics before pursuing a college education in culinary and baking arts.

Michael Fair: I called the day before to discuss how it would work for my 5 year old daughters to come in and get their hair done for the daddy daughter dance. I was told to make sure to come in by 230. She didn't say to schedule an appointment, bc I would have. I get to their today at 2 and I am told that they cant help me as everyone has clients. My 5 year olds have barely any hair and for someone who knows what they are doing it wouldn't take 2 hours before close to get their hair done. Really disappointed and my girls left crying.

Brooke Drinkwater: I went to this school my junior year of highschool (2016-2017). My experience was terrible. I had just moved to michigan that year. Since the school is so big and there are so many students, finding friends is beyond difficult if you dont already have any. The teachers were also awful. my math teacher, who teaches several different math classes there, didn't know how to teach, at all. and alot of students agree. his tests and quizzes very rarely had to do with what he taught in class. My english teacher was one of the worst teachers i have ever had in my life. She was strict, and made things exceptionally difficult on purpose. She told us at the end of the year that she made the class so hard so that we could really only get C's in her class unless we worked ourselves to death. She also accused us of being stupid because nobody wanted to answer the bellringer the first week of class. Also a ton of unnecessary busywork. The only good teacher i had was Mrs.Schade. I dont know how i would have survived that year without her. Also WCSPA is not all its cracked up to be. The dance teacher called me "weighed down" during my dance final and wouldnt be reasonable about setting up a meeting to talk about it. anyways i transferred schools the next year because this school was so bad.

I disliked it Alot, the supportive staff was great and caring (Counseling and TC services) but upper administration and super attendant has no idea what they are doing half of the time. Not to mention they care more about their ACT scores and scores on US Daily News rather than the students themselves.Hint for alot of people. If your in the troy area, go to Athens. If your near SHHS, go to Stevenson. Much better choices and quality of life for their students.
