I normally shop at Dream Market, but saw MW's add for lemons. Not one good one was to be found. The lady behind the counter was really unfriendly too. Went to Dream Market and all their produce is so fresh.

Becki Lynn: Some of their produce items have been very inexpensive. I got one 10 lb bag of potatoes that were great. About a week later I picked up another bag where about half of the potatoes had to have multiple bad spots cut out of them. One day I drove out of my way to go there and they weren't open, even though their ad stated their hours, so be aware of that possibility.

David: Grocery: The "world" in their name seems to be accurate — they stock, almost exclusively based on my brief visit, a wide variety of international foods including olives, spices, nuts, dairy, candies, and milled grains.Restaurant: Carryout only, friendly and very helpful staff. They're between menus at the moment (November 2022) so call or go in person to order. The price and quantity of what I ordered was notably better than at competitors in the area, though the sides were unique. They sell standard "kabob restaurant" fare plus some excellent soups, and the two I had were delicious. Of particular note to me are their cream chop and curried potatoes. Their shawarma is a perfect middle ground between the too-dry offerings I've sampled from a couple local stores and the bordering-on-corporate-standard items some bigger and popular places sell. Though I found everything to be delicious and nearly perfectly seasoned and cooked, personal seasoning preference may vary...Try this place yourself!

The sausage I bought also began to turn after only one day in my refrigerator. I was given turkey and bologne plates with blood all over them and small pieces of meat were on my turkey and balogne. The gentleman didn’t even change his gloves. I was shocked to see all this happen. Not as sanitary and clean as it seemed to be!

BUT recently my husband asked to have the chicken cut and when he bought it home i was extremely upset. The chicken looked like they were ripped in 4 pieces. Food along with people deserve respect. I have already recanted my praises of Ishtar to my friends and family!!
Molly B: Racial discrimination! I live nearby and went here to buy fresh meat but I guess cuz I'm a white female they wouldn't wait on me. I was the only person at the meat counter and they just kept looking and ignoring me but then helped a man who came in about 10 minutes later and spoke their language. I'm glad now I didn't give them my money, that's NOT how we do businss in our country!
Farah Al Tikriti: Products in general are very good and the butchers know how to advise customers. The only issue I’ve encountered on multiple basis is customer service especially with the cashier. There would be lines of people waiting to checkout, and she would let her relatives or people that the owner might know checkout first. When she was asked about her behavior, she stated that those certain individuals didn’t know where the line was formed... It doesn’t send a good message to the people waiting in line, and it surely makes the owner lose on customers due to poor customer service.

I took it back and they replaced it and gave me a bunch of free steaks. I get home and opened the chicken again it was rotten again. I will never return here

Anna Hamlin: Be weary of the meats. Bought Kabanosy/thin kielbasa and a corner of it was open when I got to the register. Good thing it happened because some of it stuck out the corner and it was black. I opened up the package and was shocked it would be sold like this (it didn't look like the ones in the deli as if there is some backup kabanosy being sold instead?) This was about $40 worth of it and it would never survive a cooler trip back home. This is not normal. I am 100% Polish and a 1st generation immigrant and I know what they are supposed to look like and that was not it.Cashier was helpful in getting it back to the Deli. The part the confused me was the girl that wrapped the product not even 10 minutes before acted shocked when the cashier handed it back to her. How did it pass your inspection 10 minutes ago but not now? Meat doesn't go black in 10 minutes.I gave it 2 stars only because I was able to find good products on their shelves (from the manufacturers). Those are mostly the same in any Polish store you go to but be sure to look and see if they are expired.This used to be a good place. Don't live in Michigan anymore and returned to stock up on my Polish food to take home down south. Since the last time I have been to this family's shop, it has gone down hill really bad.Almost a shame it is a Polish market. We are very prideful in our work and it was sad to see. Many bad reviews over spoiled meat and mine was too. Not all Polish people operate a business this way. Bozeks, if you are reading this review, please represent Poland better. 🇵🇱.

When I informed the accountant, she told me that all the frozen kibbeh in the markets had the same taste, and asked me if I had bought something like it before from other places, I told her of course, but she did not recognize that their frozen kibbeh was moldy and you answered me bravely. I advise everyone to check before buying anything frozen from this store

Kinga W: Great store with lots of good food options. Many sausage choices (chunky made by them is awesome), cheese, salami, salads and packaged food. You can even get Polish cosmetics here too.
Tyler Gubala: Shopped there on a Saturday and I was surprised to find the store was not all that busy. I was able to purchase all kinds of specialty Polish food like pierogi, kielbasa and biscuits and other snacks.Their pierogi selection truly is incredible, with so many flavors to choose from. The deli is equally well stocked with pickle loafs and corned beef.Also try their sandwiches from the deli, the Reuben is really good!Highly recommended!

Laura Osburn: Went here today. A great,small polish market. Needed a translation on how to use a product, and one of the employees read it in polish and translated it to me in English so I could make it up. It was a homemade pickle mix. Absolutely every lady in that store was very friendly and helpful. Walked out with a basket full of polish food. Thank you for being such a pleasant shopping experience.

I grew up making stuffed cabbage, and pirogi with my mom, but didn’t have the time for that. I ordered the meal (I don’t do that kind of thing) from Srodek’s. WOW their staff is the best. The meal (stuffed cabbage, pirogi for 22) was wonderful!!! I have been a customer for about 10 years usually just sausage and pirogi. I was so very impressed and appreciative. Thank you Srodek’s!!! My children’s former grade school does a yearly fundraiser from Srodek’s again WOW and thank you.
